I do like a lot of the Forum stories and I have contributed a few of my own (all actual events) but I'd be interested to know what people like.

Do you prefer a well written story that's obviously fiction or a genuine retelling that's just cobbled together.

Personally I like true stories but how about you ?

I only read the ones I think are true, not really into fictional ones, and if I'm reading a story and suddenly realise that it is obviously fictional, I completely lose interest and stop reading.

I don't mind, either are good for me. I want them to grab my interest, and hopefully keep grabbing it.

I do like the sections to appear fairly close together, and not have long gaps, makes it more difficult for me to keep track.

Don’t mind either but enjoy a story based on true events or fantasy. I’ve written one (not on here) about a girl I had a brief thing with at uni but in the story she has what at the time I thought/hoped was between her legs.

I like those with a ring of authenticity. I don't like sitting thinking "Like THAT would happen".

It has been pointed out in other posts that the writer always seems to be experiencing a 9incher - ha ha.

My personal dislikes are those that descend in to forced feminisation, people calling someone they have just meet "slut" etc etc

For me, the main ingredient is consent. Two guys at it. Can't deny I like a cliff-hanger.

Mine have a good bit of "rough" in them but it is all consensual. And mostly true, names changed to protect the not-so-innocent.

My BIG bugbear is people who quote the whole f*cking chapter to post a thumbs up.

I dislike the stories that start out with the statement “this is a true story” then descend into pure fantasy. I sometimes think that the author gets so carried away they lose all realms of reality. There”s many a story I get to the point I can’t be bothered reading it to the end.

I prefer the true stories personally, the fictional ones end up being to far fetched, unrealistic and some go on and on with to many chapters. I get they are fictional fantasy but I lose interest when they become to fictional.

jn the past for another site one mediaeval England one Victorian and one set in Tsarist Russia n often using real characters but entirely fictional got many likes andcomments

Also very frustrating when writers clearly get bored of their own stories or just don’t know where the story is heading so stop posting without finishing the tale!!

I think in lockdown people had sod all better to do than put fingers to keyboard and on the other side, read. Now that things are more normal, people's attention span and patience has shrunk back. For my part, writing passed the time during lockdown and allowed me to hope / believe there was light at the end of the tunnel.

Agreed. Each to their own of course. As I said in a previous reponse, it is even worse when the dressing up/ feminisation is forced

What people might not realise is they take an age to bang out (to coin a phrase!). I lost my mojo and got fed up. My four 'on the go' all have bubbling updates in Drafts but there enough posted to get on with. No-one, I hope, looks for pats on head but it maybe says something I get more private messages from the WOMEN on fabswingers with feedback and demanding updates. I appear to be in a minority being surprised and fascinated that man-on-man action gets them (women) going.

I have to observe, I find there to be a lack of good stories on the go just now compared to previously, but accept I am probably getting fussy

My accounts are all reality based. Some of the verbal exchanges may have been enhanced to stimulate the situation and reader. I like to describe the physical aspects of each encounter to create the best picture of what happened as in real time the situations are quicker because it is happening live and you don't focus on creating a memory xx

True stories for me, I have a couple in here somewhere, all true, one I wrote about I got a message a few days later, guy who read it thought it was a made up tale, then he read my verifications, I don’t or can’t write about a lot of the things I’ve done or get up too as I’d never stop writing, anyway, definitely the factual based accounts rather than a Spielberg tale of space and 25inch cocks on planet buggeredhole
