Part 1702

It ended up with Clint having the plate of sardines on his lap with smudge eating them!!

Ian introduced Clint to the other staff as Alex and Harry brought out a tray of sandwiches for the staff.

Clint is also a gym user and was pleasantly suprise when he found out that he can use the gym free of charge and attend the fitness evening sessions. He was also pleased that he gets hot drinks and meals when on duty...

He seems a nice lad....lives with his mum and dad, drives a little fiesta. He also didn't seem to mind that Ian was gay as are most of the staff here. He seemed quite open minded about it.....

When Ian told him about the table tradition and the naked parties we hold etc all what Clint said was "sounds fun that".

Mmmnnnn.....I wonder if Clint is 'straight' ?

Part 1703

Ian told Clint that he was just about to go to the gym and have a session. He took smudge up to his flat.

Clint asked if he could join him as he has his gym gear in his car.

Both of them headed for the gym, Ian went on the running machine and Clint ended up on the rowing machine.

Soon they were both sweating and shirtless......dressed in just shorts and trainers.

Clint has a nice physique and a couple of tattoos on his forearms.

Me and my lovely hubby was in the hot tub, with Harry and Luke. Relaxing and letting the tub do its business on our aching muscles.

Ian and Clint both had a shower to get rid of their sweat and asked if they could join us in the hot tub.

Just as Clint was sitting down, Harry the little sod turned the jets up to full and nearly knocked Clint head first into the water!!!

We all laughted and Clint said "I've been told about you Harry, you little joker!"

Part 1704.

We all had a good laugh at Harry's little prank.....Clint took it in his stride but warned Harry that 'revenge will be sweet'

Me and Dylan left the hot tub and got dried and changed.

I went for a walk...Brandon and Bradley are spray tanning and sun bedding clients.

William and Tom had clients in their treatment rooms.

Aiden was now working reception!! So Billy could have the evening off. Leo was in the office doing some paperwork....

The bar was busy.....nearly every table was being used and the drinks were flowing.

Clint and Ian arrived in reception, Clint said goodbye to everybody and said he will see us on Wednesday.

Ian told us Clint is a nice lad and doesn't seemed phased at the nakedness that goes on here. He also asked Ian "I take it the table tradition actually happens and isn't a prank or joke? Do you have to do it everytime? Or just the first time?"

Ian said he just laughted and told him he can do it whenever he wants too!!

Next morning, 09.25am

Postman comes and one letter is a recorded delivery one addressed to me personally.

Mr dodgy bollocks solicitors are saying that he has withdrawn his claim against the hotel and want to know why I'm now suing him?

The letter was very threatening, in my opinion, stating that not if but when I lose the case (!) I will be responsible for his costs etc.

They also demanded, yes demanded, full disclosure of all the evidence I have to support my claim.

I immediately phoned my solicitor, who said that "they are correct but should have sent that letter to us and not you"

Even though I wanted to go face to face with this lying, conning piece of shit, in the court room.... my solicitor thinks he will attempt to either get the claim thrown out or failing that to make a settlement.

I wanted to ruin the c*unt. My apologies for the bad language used their.

The judge handling this case has also asked for all the evidence and paperwork including the disclosure to be received by him and each party within the next 2 weeks.

It is with great sadness that Arlos and Aidens Nanna passed away earlier this morning.

We are at the moment trying to sort flights out for the boys.

Both of them are devastated and are being comforted by Brandon and Josh and the lovely Harry and Luke.

Both Aidens dad and Arlos Dad have been in contact with them and it was Arlo's dad who broke the news.

The family have lost the matriarch of the family and their Gramps have lost his wife of 52 years.

All of the hotels condolences are with the family.

Arlo and Aiden thanks everybody for their condolences.

We have managed to get a flight for them later on this afternoon.

Tony and Harry are driving them to the airport now.

It's hit Aiden really hard as he was very close to his Nanna.

I'm just pleased that he has Arlo supporting him on the flight.

I have spoken to Arlo's dad on the phone and him and Aidens dad are going to pick them up from the airport.

Quick update....

Arlo and Aiden now in Ireland and are in Arlo's dad's car going to their Gramps house.

They both thank you all for your kind messages and Dm's.

Aiden is really upset and most of the lads here have cried for them.

Lovely Harry.....told Aiden in the car going to the airport, that the Teddy that the W.I Ladies gave him was such a comfort to him.

He then lent him that Teddy to give him comfort......I was in tears when he told me what he had done and so was both Aiden and Arlo.

Aiden promised Harry he would look after it and bring it back to him.

I'm sorry but I'm still in tears...

I was fuming at Mr dodgy bollocks and their solicitors.

But I got cheered up when I received a letter from the 'Where their is blame' company offering to pay all my legal expenses and another sum for the 'inconvenience' on a condition that I sign a 'non disclosure agreement'

I phoned up my Insurance company and explained the offer to them...

I was somewhat annoyed that they suggested I take the offer and withdraw my claim from them!!! Think I will look for another insurance company next year....

10.30am

Clint arrived in reception asking if it was still OK for him to use the gym even though he doesn't officially start till next week.

Billy of course said he could.....

Brandon and Bradley were busy in the Tannery....a lot busier than I thought they would ever be.... a very good money making business.

Even Tom and William were busy in their treatment rooms.

Graham and Josh were looking after the gym today.

Clint got changed into his gym kit and hit the machines.

Arlo was in his office doing a campaign for Harry's cakes.....

He has photos of every cake that they have made, their little work area and photos of both Harry and Liam. This is the 2nd campaign he has done for Harry. Mmmnnnn a bit of favoritism?

Arlo said that this campaign is specific to a very large wedding fair in Nottingham.

He is combining the hotel and cakes together to offer the full package.

He is actually planning to hire a 'stall' their and take Harry and leo with him to help promote the hotel and take orders etc.

Wow!!! Arlo certainly has his head screwed on.

Part 1707

In the short time that Arlo has been the marketing manager he has increased the total hotel revenue by 32%.

I'm now, once again, concerned that the staff are working long and hard hours. It's not fair on them, even though nobody moans about it.

I called Arlo, Billy and Leo into the office.

I congratulated Arlo on his efforts and told all of them of my concerns.

Afternoon teas....nearly full every day.

Sunday lunch....always full.

Tannery....full to capacity already.

Evening fitness....2 sessions a evening, 6 evening a week.

Staff accommodation nearly full....

I asked Arlo what his prediction is for the growth of the departments in the hotel?

He admitted that the hotel is nearly at full capacity so he is going to maintain that level.

Arlo then looked at the rest of us and said "I think I know the direction your thinking Jason, but I would say more haste less speed. Slow but surely is the best way. With regards to staffing I do agree that we probably need more but that doesn't mean they are all going to live in? But staffing isn't my field."

Billy quickly added "I agree with Arlo and I have been a bit concerned about staffing levels. The kitchen, even the cakes...poor Harry and Liam are flat out, the Tannery has exceeded expectations already, Tom and Williams treatments and the evening fitness classes."

Leo, who knows not only the hotel needs, but me as well... opened his folder. "The staffing budget hasn't increased since Arlo joined us and increased the revenue. On a 32% revenue increase we can increase the staffing budget by at least 10-15%. I'm confident that Arlo will continue to increase the revenue on a monthly basis. I suggest the following increases in staffing. Kitchen plus 1 full timer. Cakes plus 1 part timer. Gym plus 2 part timers evening, plus 1 full timer, plus 1 treatments specialist. The Tannery plus 1 full timer."

I looked at Leo, smiled and knew once again he was ahead of me!! God I love him so much!!

I asked Billy if he agreed with Leo? He agreed.

I asked Arlo what he thought? He smiled and said "100%"

I instructed Billy to notify the department heads of their new staff increases.

They boys will argue they can cope but the managers are right. If they carry on at the current rate someone is going to snap. Getting extra staff is affordable so it is an investment in the existing staff as well as the hotel.

Part 1708

Billy told all the department heads about their increase of staff and all were very pleased.

After a discussion with Arlo and Aiden it was agreed that Aiden helps part time in the marketing department, and part time wherever he is needed, gym, bar, waitering

Evening meal......

We all sat down when a naked Bradley and Clint walked in!!! They were doing the table tradition!

They stood with there hands on their heads and gave us all a twirl!

Aiden was a bit pissed off that Bradley didn't wait for him to get better...so he also stripped and done it!!

We now had 3 naked lads!!!

They got cheered by the others.

Harry decided he was going to mark them each out of 10!!!!

Everybody laughted and Harry went and had a good look at them!!!

Clint had the nicest Physique with a nice 5 pack and tattoos on each forearm. He also had the biggest dick!!!

Bradley also had a nice physique but he had bigger thighs and calfs.

Aiden had a nice all over body but definitely had bigger testicles.

Harry gave all 3 of them a 8 out of 10 stating they would have got a 9 or 10 if they are good kissers!!!!

Luke looked shocked....saying "Harry!! Wots the problem with my kisses!! You bugger!"

Aiden immediately hopped forward and kissed Harry fully on the lips!!!

Harry shouted "9"

Clint and Bradley just looked shocked and dumbfounded.....

Anyway the 3 of them got dressed and the lads welcomed Bradley and Clint to the table.

Update.

Arlo's been on the phone.

Nannas funeral is Thursday.

Nannas body is being kept in her and Gramps home from Tuesday.

They are having a wake Tuesday and Wednesday night whereby Gramps will have friends and family over to celebrate her life and stay with the coffin over night.

The funeral itself is at 09.45am Thursday.

Arlo and Aiden are catching a flight back to the uk later on in the afternoon.

Arlo has asked if I can book a room at the hotel for Thursday night as Aidens dad is flying back with them, staying the night and flying back to Ireland Friday afternoon.

I asked how they are?

Arlo told me that Aiden is in pieces and really upset and hasn't let go of the Teddy that Harry lent him. He's missing Josh.

He is ok and holding up but his dad is crying a lot.

He also asked me to thank the lads for their support and kind words.

I told him that myself and Dylan and all the lads are missing them and love them.

Well, it looks like Clint and Bradley aren't shy showing off their bodies!! We already know Aiden isn't!

Luke grabbed hold of Harry and kissed him fully on the lips....he kissed him about 4 times and between each kiss told him that "he's a naughty boy" on the last kiss he told him "naughty boy is getting punished tonight, big time....I'm going to kiss every part of your body until you admit I'm the best kisser!!"

Harry went bright red in the face, looked at everybody looking at him and said "yes I'm a VERY naughty boy and must be punished with lots of kisses"

Harry being Harry then done his normal of NOT engaging brain first, then said to Luke, loud enough for everybody to hear....."love you Luke please fuck me as well later"

The room went deadly silent..... Harry realised what he said out loud, went even redder in the face and told everybody "not my fault I love Luke to the moon and back!"

Harry! Harry! Harry!

The lads are used to Harry's "mouth" and to be honest they love him for his innocent, true, off the cuff remarks..

His remarks caused the others to comment...

Aiden told everybody that he loves Josh, Liam said he loves Aj and even Arlo said he loves Brandon....

Harry, a bit embarrassed about the chain reaction of 'love' he caused then said, "but of course I love you all as well"

Evening meal then continued in a very jovial manner with everybody laughing and joking.

Bradley and Clint were a bit overwhelmed, I think, at what was said but both had big smiles on their faces and joined in the laughter after they got dressed.

I saw Dylan look at me. He had the look on his face and in his eyes that told me what I love to see.... he wants us to make love later.

I could feel my trousers getting tighter... and no matter what I tried they were getting tighter by the second and I had a prominent bulge.........

Dylan had his chef whites on plus an apron over the whites so he wasn't 'showing'......but I knew he was now erect and hard. His hand movements told me that as he was getting a bit uncomfortable down below!!

Update from Arlo.

Tomorrow will be the 1st time they get to see their Nanna....Gramps is having a "half open coffin" so they will be able to see her face. She will remain in the open coffin, which will be placed in living room by the front bay window.

Aiden is really upset and Arlo said that 15 minutes after they went to bed Aiden came into Arlo's bedroom and asked if he could sleep with him. He brought Harry's Teddy with him.....Arlo also said that Aiden has held onto the Teddy since the airport.

Both are dreading tomorrow and Arlo, his dad and Aidens mum and dad are really worried about how Aiden is going to react to seeing his Nanna laying their.

Update from Aidens dad.....

Aidens dad phoned me earlier this morning......

Aidens gone missing and he asked if he has been in contact with anybody from the hotel, like Josh?

I asked Josh and he said that Aiden phoned him at 05.00am this morning in tears......

Apparently he done the same thing and went missing from Milos funeral, before his dad found him sitting outside the church, with his head in his hands, crying his eyes out.

Aiden comes across as a hard, self confident lad when in effect he's a sensitive, caring lad.

They can't find Aiden at the moment and have searched the house from top to bottom.

For gods sake he can't be far away? he has a broken leg and on crutches?

Arlo phoned...

Aidens ok....

He wanted to say his goodbyes to Nanna in private......

He went to the funeral directors Chapel of rest and has just arrived back at Gramps home in the hearse with Nannas coffin.

He helped carry Nannas coffin into the living room.......

5 minutes ago he phoned Harry and asked him if it's OK with him if Aiden sat his Teddy on a chair next to Nanna to give her "comfort" as Teddy has given to him.

Harry being Harry is in tears, as am I...........

Aiden, when you read this .....the staff here are very proud of you mate and I know so is your beloved Nanna.

Next morning....

Ian is worried about Smudge....he's not been himself last couple of days and have been meowing loudly and running to a spot just behind and inbetween the new staff flats and the hotel. His digging holes.

His refusing to go into his run and when Ian "puts" him in it he escapes....

His following Ian everywhere meowing and scratching and biting his legs and then running to this "spot" where he is digging holes.

When Ian came to reception smudge ran into the corner and started shaking and meowing........

Ian was concerned and asked Billy to ask Alex and Harry if they had any spare sardines for him.

Both Harry and Alex came to reception with a bowl of sardines.

Smudge refused to eat and kept running to the door and then looking back to see if they were following him. Smudge was very vocal and having what I would call a tantrum.

He kept running back and forth from them to the door and back.....

Billy, as a joke, said "it looks like he wants you to follow him?"

Ian, Alex, Harry and Billy walked towards the door and Smudge ran outside, stopped and looked at them. When they got within 10 foot of him, he ran further and stopped. Billy told everybody he definitely wants us to follow him!!

Smudge ran to this spot just behind the hotel and by the side of the new staff flats and started scratching and digging the grounds soil.....

What the fuck is he doing?

They all came back to reception. Tom was talking to leo....

When Tom listened to what they said he asked to see this area....

Ian took him......

Tom noticed that around that area the plants were dying......

Tom flew back into the hotel, went to the kitchen and asked for a bowl of soapy water......

He took the water to this spot and poured it over the area that smudge had marked......

The soapy water started bubbling.

Tom said "fucking hell".....

He quickly went back to reception and told Leo to evacuate the staff flats and the conference room and get me. Tom then phoned the fire brigade and somebody else....

Tom was very serious and then told Leo to evacuate all of the rear area. He then told Dylan to switch off all the ovens and anything with a naked flame.......

I got to reception just as I heard the sirens of the fire brigade, who had sent 3 tenders, coming up the driveway.....

Tom explained the situation and I immediately hit the fire alarm telling Leo to evacuate the whole hotel NOW!!!!

The fire brigade came in and Tom explained his suspicions....the fireman heard the pre-recorded 'this is not a drill' announcement and said "good decision ...get everybody out.."

Part 1712

Fire fighters in full breathing apparatus with a machine in their hands started searching the area that Smudge led us to.

10 minutes later a gas engineer arrived on site.

We have an underground gas leak!!!

Lucky we don't have many guests staying and I asked if they and the staff need to leave.

The gas engineer told us at the moment it is not necessary but he is going to turn the mains gas supply off until 'cadent' gas engineers can identify and fix the leak.

Therefore we don't now have any cookers or heating in the hotel.

Within 30 minutes the 'cadent' engineers arrived and within another 15 minutes had isolated the gas coming into the grounds.

They started digging up this area and found a gas pipe had cracked. They now have to replace this section of pipe. From join to join it was 15 foot long.

The engineers told me that it is a simple fix and as it is pipework that is outside the property their is no charge to repair and it is the responsibility of the pipeline.

They estimate a fix time of a couple of hours after they have dug up the length of the pipe from joint to joint. So about 4 hours in total.

Well fucking done Smudge!!!

We all met in the bar, including Smudge who was being treated like a little hero!!

Alex gave him the bowl of sardines again and this time smudge ate them.

Ian was feeling a bit guilty about not picking up on what Smudge was trying to say to him.....

Smudge was now 'strutting' around the bar with a 'look at me' attitude!!

The fire officer came to see me and said that they are off now and it was lucky that the leak was spotted earlier rather than later.

Harry told me that he feels a bit guilty as well.....the last 2-3 days he noticed that his gas cake oven was taking longer to bake his cakes and the flames look smaller than normal....he didn't think nothing of it but in hind sight he should have said something to Dylan.

Arlo and Aiden and the gym lads were given permission to start working again but obviously the kitchen was still out of action.

At least the cappuccino machine is electric!!

Part 1714

Dylan had the staff preparing for the afternoon teas and Harry and Liam are today running it!

Alex and Sean made sandwiches etc for the staff which was good and had everything ready for evening meal as soon as the gas was back on

The Cadent gas engineer came in and told us that it's all fixed now!!!

The heating came on, gas man checked the boiler for us and checked the ovens etc.....he passed us as fit to go.....

Thank god for that!!

Kitchen now fully up and running.

Arlo is working on getting the new staff as agreed.

Smudge still 'strutting' around the hotel...I'm sure he is smiling at us.

Aiden seems to be in a bit of pain with his leg......he of course said 'I'm fine' but I don't think he is?

I noticed that the top of his leg, just above his knee, was a big red and bruised and swollen.

I went and found Josh and asked him if Aiden is OK and mentioned his leg? Josh seemed to hesitate before he answered.....but eventually told me that his leg is very painful and he is taking too many pain killers.

I phoned the hospital to ask for advice....

I love the NHS..don't get me wrong, they do an absolute marvellous job, but unfortunately their is a BIG difference between an NHS patient and a 'private' patient on how you are treated......

I eventually, after a bit of persuasion, managed to get through to one of the 'triage' nurses. She recommended that he visits A&E.

I told Aiden and Arlo what I have done and what the Triage Nurse recommended.

I expected Aiden to argue and say he fine etc but I was pleasantly suprised when he said "oh, well in that case perhaps I should?"

We got to A&E. The queue was big and the waiting room was nearly full.

Within 15 minutes he was seen by a triage nurse who told he a doctor needs to see him.

We sat their for nearly 2.5 hours when he was called in to see a doctor.

He was sent for an x-ray.... his plaster was then removed from his lower leg and another doctor came to see him.

I heard Aiden shout "your joking, NO, NO!"

The doctor came out of the cubicle and asked to speak to me.

The break in his Fibula bone has not set correctly and looks like it has become infected.

They are keeping him in overnight with a view to treating the infection and then, unfortunately an operation to 'pin' the bone together.

I managed to phone Aidens mum and explained about his new operation.

After I phoned the hotel, 40 minutes later Arlo arrived with Tony and Harry.

Aiden had 2 drips in his arm, painkiller and antibiotics. The plaster was still off his leg and when you looked at it, it was black and blue ........

Aiden wasn't happy....

The doctor informed me that Aidens operation will be undertaken tomorrow afternoon. So he will have to spend another night in hospital as well.

Aiden really looked glum and down.

We left Aiden to sleep and we headed back to the hotel....

I was following Tony and Harry when I noticed Tony indicate to turn right at a set of traffic lights. He should have gone straight over...

Arlo started laughing and said "the little bugger!"

I looked at Arlo.....

"Bet he turns next left, his a crafty sod....." said Arlo.

Then I saw it.....a big red 'M'...

Yes, the little bugger somehow convinced Tony to go to Mcdonalds!!

I followed them into the car park and we parked up.

Harry and Tony got out of the range rover and Tony just looked over at us, shaking his head.....

Harry was smiling ear to ear.

Anyway we got in and found a table.

4 big mac meals later.......

We eventually got back to the hotel.

Harry's a little sod!

How does he manage to wrap everybody round his little finger?!?!

We got back to the hotel....

We went in the main entrance and as we were walking to reception, Smudge was sitting on the reception desk looking very proud of himself!

As much as Josh loves Aiden he hates hospitals....he has panic attacks and palpitations about them.

Aiden realises this and actually told him not to come as last time Josh ended up getting really upset.

Leo was manning reception. He let Billy go off duty as Jack is not working today, so they can spend some quality time together.

Leo told me that Dylan is interviewing for the full time position in the kitchen and was looking for Harry to help him as this person will be helping in the cake section as well.

Dylan didn't expect us to be so long?

Harry looked very guilty....Leo saw and said 'for gods sake don't tell Dylan you stopped for a mcdonalds!

How the fuck did he know?

Harry quickly went into the kitchen and saw Dylan and Liam talking to a youngish lad, probably about 19 or 20?

Dylan gave Harry one of his 'stares' that told Harry he was in for a bollocking!!

The Lads name was Martin.....

He has just finished a CTH Level 2 Certificate in Culinary Skills and now wants to practise what he has learnt.

Dylan liked Martin as Martin was prepared to do whatever was necessary and wanted to help to develop his skills.

Martin also loved the idea that he can be helping with all meals...from making sandwiches for snacks, afternoon teas, Sunday carvery, wedding functions and especially the cakes!!!

He also didn't care about shift work or working weekends. He has his push bike and lives only a couple of miles away.

Martin seemed a nice lad, a bit small in height and build but did have a nice smile and certainly was keen.

Dylan introduced him to me and said they are just going to have a chat with Leo......

Dylan gave me the same stare he gave Harry!!! Shit I'm in trouble as well!!

As him and Martin was walking out he looked at both me and Harry and said "hope you enjoyed your mcdonalds?"

Dylan then took a tissue and wiped the corner of my mouth..."You left some sauce on your mouth"

Harry went to get changed into his chef whites and I went to reception.

James and Roger were manning reception waiting for the early fitness class clients to arrive.

I went to the gym and the Tannery. The gym was busier than I expected.

As I was passing the changing room I heard somebody call my name. I went in and saw Clint sitting down drying himself. He was smiling and I heard singing coming from the actual showers?

William was cleaning the shower area, as he normally does. To be honest, he has a good singing voice...

William heard me saying hello to Clint and he came out, stark bollock naked apart from flip-flops and plastic gloves, with the spray and cleaning rags. He said hello.....

Clint seemed really happy and said he was looking forward to starting work with Ian and thanked me for the opportunity.

He started laughing..."the table tradition was a bit nerve racking! Bradley told me before we done it that he was shitting himself as well! But I can understand why you all do it? It proves we are all the same and we are all one team"

I smiled and agreed with him.....

Clint then said "and Harry, he had me giggling.....he really is a nice lad.....can I ask you a personal question please Jason?"

I told him he could but I will maintain the right to silence if necessary!!!

Clint looked at me ....."I'm a bit confused about Harry....he calls you Dad, some of the lads says you are but 1 or 2 say your not?"

I smiled...."long story that...he adopted me as his Dad. He had a rather awful upbringing which I'm not going into and last year he nearly died from a horrific brain tumour. I was all he had......"

Clint immediately apologised to me and said he noticed the scar on his head and how he always wears a hat.

Quick update.

Arlo, Aiden and his Dad are in the hotel.

Tony picked them up from the airport.

Aiden very sad and gloomy and gave Josh a big hug whilst crying...

Aidens dad, I have changed my opinion of him now, done the right thing.......

He hugged Josh, apologising for his past behaviour and then said the following to him......

"Life's to short as it is...we don't know what's round the corner. Josh, you have made my son very happy and he loves you, and I know you love him. You are welcome in my family, welcome to visit me and his mum anytime. I'm happy for the both of you, I really am......"

Josh burst into tears and hugged Aidens Dad back.

Arlo put him hand on Aidens Dad's shoulder and smiled.

Harry came out of the bar and saw them in reception......

Aiden gave Harry a huge hug and gave him back his Teddy. Harry being Harry also started crying......

I had tears in my eyes, but managed to keep it together until Arlo gave me a hug......

Now their was me, Arlo, Harry, Aiden and his dad with weepy eyes....

Dylan took Martin to see Leo.

Leo told him about the 'perks' like free uniform, use of the gym, meals and drinks on duty etc etc.

Leo done his normal trick of trying 'to put off' the candidate to see his reaction?

In the case of kitchen staff he mentions the shifts, early morning, late evening, weekends etc.

Martin didn't seemed phased by this and gave the impression that he just wanted to learn, regardless of the shifts.......

Leo asked about his personal life..

Martin looked down to the floor before he said anything. He seemed to be thinking about what to say...

He straighten himself up and told them that he lives in a 4 person house share. He has a pushbike so getting to work won't be a problem.

He freely admitted that he spent 2 years in a care home, which he emphasised was his choice.

He parents divorced when he was 12 and he lived with his dad. Unfortunately his dad was an alcoholic and used to beat him regularly.

At 16 he had had enough and went to social services by himself. He was placed in a care home and at 18 social services found him this house share.

He decided that he needs a career and loves cooking and experimenting with food, hence the college course.

Dylan looked at Leo and Leo smiled.

My radio crackled asking me to come to the office.

I got to the office and Dylan introduced me to Martin.

Leo told me that Martin is the new full time kitchen worker....

Next morning....

Clint turns up for work and Billy issued him with his PPE. Ian was pleased to see him and looking forward to working with him.

10.00am....

Martin turns up for work and again Billy sorted him out with his chefs whites.

Martin asked if he could take a shower first. Billy took him to the gym and introduced him to the gym staff. William showed him round and showed him the changing room and showers.

Martin was suprised that the showers had towels, body wash, shampoo etc in place. William told him their compliments of the hotel.

Martin had his backpack and had brought with him all his shower stuff. William told him not to bother with it as the shower room always have towels and body wash etc.

Martin stripped when talking to William and then went for his shower.

20 minutes later Martin appeared at reception and Harry came and collected him. It was Harry job to show Martin the fire exits etc and show him round the hotel....

Eventually they got to the kitchen and Harry introduced him to all the staff.

Dylan came out of his office and told Martin that Sean is his mentor

Aidens had his operation and all went well....

A pin, a plate and 6 screws!!!

His staying in hospital tonight and probably tomorrow night as well. Aidens not happy about that!!

Arlo and Tony has visited him...

Dylan gave Martin the job of preparing the evening meal for the staff.

Chicken and chips and peas..... the exercise was too see how well he does, what portion size he serves, how well cooked the chicken is, his carving skills and how he manages the staff and how it is served.

Talk about being thrown in the deep end!!!

He has Alex and Sean helping him...

Martin told Alex and Sean that he feels a bit uncomfortable about asking them to do things especially being his 1st day on the job!

It was Sean that sat Martin down with Alex and told him "Dylan has put you in charge of the kitchen for that task....whatever you ask me and Alex to do we will do but We are a team here and always offer help and suggestions to each other."

Martin was grateful for that and thanked them both.

The lads were busy preparing the meal and talking generally about the hotel and each other.

When it came to the table tradition and the naked parties.....Martin thought they were winding him up. It was Alex that told him about the staff relationships and that 80% of the staff are bi or gay and live in.....

Martin told them that 2 people in his house share are gay and share the same bedroom, but he doesn't have much to do with them. He likes to keep his head down and himself to himself and spends time in his bedroom.

I was talking to Dylan and it seems like Martin has everything under control in the kitchen....

He's very nervous, but listened to suggestions by the others and acted accordingly.

Alex deliberately done something that was wrong to see Martins reaction and how he dealt with it. Martin noticed and quickly stopped Alex from stuffing the chickens with stuffing......saying not everybody likes stuffing and it would be better to have the stuffing on a separate plate.

Alex hates stuffing!!! He calls it the devil's dish! And he always as does the others puts the stuffing on a separate plate instead of in the chicken!!!

Sean noticed what Alex did....and praised Martin for stepping in. Alex had a huge grin on his face.

Martin, also without being told, wanted all vegetables etc in separate dishes so the only thing on the plate was chicken. The guest then helps themselves to vegetables and gravy etc.

The only thing that confused Martin was how many staff are eating.?

Alex looked at his watch and said at 4pm Billy will come into the kitchen and tell us how many are dining. We always make sure that their is enough for 5 extra guests just in case as well.

3.57pm......

Billy comes into the kitchen and says their are 27 for evening meal.

6.15pm Martin told them it will be ready. Sean got on the phone to reception to ask them to notify the staff.

Everything was going OK in the kitchen, no problems and Martin had everything ready to be served at 6.15pm.

6.10pm........

Staff arrive in staff dining room and start sitting down. They were very jovial and happy and hungry!

Roger and Alex started bring out the vegetables all in different dishes. One dish of each vegetable per 4 people.

After the plated dishes with the chicken on it was served Bradley asked Martin where his vegan dish was as he's a vegan?

Martin went bright red, apologised to him and, to be fair, said that he did ask if anybody has any dietary needs? He looked at Alex who told him that nobody does with a real 'you bastard' look that could kill at 10 feet away.......

Martin again apologised to Bradley for not checking and said he would sort him out a vegan meal.

Dylan told Bradley to pack it in, as its Martins first day and he ran the kitchen for this meal.

Bradley immediately apologised and then said "sorry Martin...Harry told me to say it!!!"

Everybody looked at Harry who was smiling to himself.

Harry told everybody he 'couldn't resist' it and then apologised to Martin saying it was a joke...

Martin laughted and replied "might have known....I've been warned that your the joker and pranker of the hotel.

Part 1723

After dinner we were all in the bar when the conversation about the staff accommodation was mentioned.

Martin couldn't believe how lucky the lads were.....the cheap rent, the perks they get etc.

It was Harry that said that the hotel looks after its staff and that it's one big family that helps each other.

Josh told Martin that him and Aiden live in the staff quarters so if at any time you have a late shift and then breakfast duties the next day and don't feel like cycling home, ask Billy or Jason if you can stay overnight.

Both Josh and Harry invited Martin to have a look at the accommodation.

They went to the staff quarters first and had a look around. Martin was impressed at how well it was furnished etc.

Next they headed to Harry's and Lukes flat.......

Martin was well impressed......

I was in reception when the main doors slide open but their was nobody their!!

The next second we saw Smudge strutting in dragging his bed behind him.......

He jumped on the stool in front of the reception desk, then onto the desk and then jumped down behind onto the floor. He put his bed in the corner and then curled up in it!

The little bugger has managed to suss out how to open the main entrance doors.....he realised there is a beam about a foot high from the floor and when the beam light is broken the doors open.....he must stand up on his hind legs to break the beam.

His now commandeered the corner behind the reception desk, next to Billy's safe. What a cheeky little bugger!

Part 1724.

Martin and Harry was in Harry's flat having a cuppa when a very sweaty Luke walked in, topless and just in shorts and trainers.

Martin apologised for the intrusion and said he Will leave.....

Luke told him to to sit down and finish his coffee and relax.

Luke went for a shower and came out in just a pair of shorts.

Martin looked a bit embarrassed to which Harry picked up on and told Martin that he's lucky Luke didn't come out stark bollock naked!

Luke made some more coffees for them.

There was a knock on the door and in walks Liam and Aj, both in just shorts and sliders.

Martin didn't know that Liam had a prosthetic leg......he kind of stared and said he didn't know and apologised for staring.

Meanwhile Harry had got changed into just shorts as well....the only one fully dressed was Martin now.

Martin was the centre of attraction and the others wanted to knew all about him and his life. Poor Martin!

Martin was now enjoying the fuss the lads were making and really enjoyed their company......

He asked that they all seem to not bother with clothes?

They all laughted and said after doing the table tradition and having the naked parties we have all seen each other naked a few times so were not bothered. We dress to feel comfortable nowadays when were in our flats.....

Liam then said "if you feel uncomfortable with our state of dress then we will of course dress with shirts on next time you visit"

Martin smiled and said "its your homes so you should dress as you wish....don't worry about me.."

Liam then said "well, we will all get naked if you will join us?"

Martin looked a bit shocked..

Next morning....

Martin suddenly woke up...he was in his bedroom at his house share....

He was sweating a bit.....

Was he dreaming about last night? Did he get naked? Did the others?

He really didn't know whether he had dreamed it?

He didn't even remember cycling home!!

He looked at his phone, it was 06.30am.....he remembered his starting time at the hotel is 10.00am.

He got up and showered and had some toast and jam....

At 09.00am he got on his bike, literally, and pedalled to the hotel.

As he got to reception, Billy said good morning and handed him his washed chefs whites.

He went to the kitchen and he thought everybody was looking at him? Everybody was and saying hi or hello or morning to him.......

He asked to speak to Harry in private......

He thanked Harry for last night and asked him if anything unusual happened?

Harry looked confused and asked him what he meant by 'unusual'?

Harry then smiled and said "well you did make yourself look like a tit by staring at Liams peg leg!!"

He asked Martin if he was ok?

Martin told Harry "yea I think so, but I had a dream last night that when we were all in your flat we all got bollock naked and carried on talking!"

Harry laughted.... "Well if you wanted to get naked, why didn't you? And yes, we would all have followed you and stripped as well!"

Martin thought to himself..."fucking hell I'm going mad"

Then he realised.....did he want to see the others naked? Is he gay?

Part 1727

Aidens back!!! Tony and Josh went to pick him up earlier.

His on 2 crutches now and obviously is in pain, judging from the look on his face.

He wasn't a happy bunny. The consultant has told him it could be 6-9 months before his walking properly again.

After Josh managed to get him upstairs to the staff quarters, Josh came back down in tears....

Leo saw and got Josh into the office. He then radioed me to come to the office.

Apparently Aiden is panicking, as he can't do his job here at the hotel......and we are going to sack him which means he has to go back to Ireland.

I went to the staff quarters and knocked on the door......

Aiden was sitting on the sofa, with his leg up on a chair. He face and eyes were red. It was evident he had been crying.

I sat next to him and asked how he was? And whether he's in pain?

He started crying........

I put my arm round his shoulders and told him "if crying helps Aiden, cry and tell me what's really bothering you?"

He looked at me and then cried into my shoulder.

I asked when the doctor said he could return to work?

He cried more and said "6-9 months before I can walk properly again and depends on the physiotherapy. So I'm useless until then"

I shifted in my seat so I was directly facing him and said "Aiden, don't ever say you are useless to me again. You are not useless, your a valued member of staff and part of the hotels family. If I have to make amendments and adaptions to keep you as a member of staff, then I will do so. Their are plenty of jobs that you can do sitting down...reception, helping Arlo, office admin. I don't want to lose you as a member of staff or part of the family. Do you understand Aiden? Your job is safe unless you want to go back to Ireland?"

Aiden burst into tears and hugged me

Part 1728

Martin was helping out in the kitchen. Sean designated him to replenish the conference and meeting rooms snacks and hot drinks.

Their was also 15 guests from the conference room staying for evening meal.

Martin apologised to Liam again about staring at his prosthetic leg last night. He also told him about his 'dream' of everybody stripping naked!!

Liam confirmed what Harry said, that he did actually dream it, as nobody actually stripped but most of them were in just shorts.

Martin was relieved in one sense but worried about why he was dreaming about them being naked?

Liam asked him if he is going to do the table tradition tonight?

Martin was honest and said "I don't know to be honest...."

Martin then asked Liam how he felt when he done the table tradition?

Liam was honest and said he was "nervous, a bit scared, and really embarrassed......but now I'm fine with it and realise its team play and trusting the others. Now it's 2nd nature to get naked in front of the others. No body judges you. And if Josh and me can do it then I'm positive you can...its not up to me to say anything about Josh, but he has certainly come out of his shell since doing the table tradition."

Martin thanked Liam and gave him a hug......

Evening meal was called.......

I'll give Sean his dues......he discussed the table tradition with Martin and made it very clear that its not compulsory to do it and nobody will think otherwise or ask him why he didn't......

Just before the meal was served Martin, and, God bless him, Sean arrived stark bollock naked. Stood at the top of the table with their hands on their heads, and gave us a twirl.....

Everybody cheered and clapped them and all either patted Martin on the head or back or shook his hand.

Martin seemed really happy and gave Sean a hug before he realised they were both naked!!!

They both got dressed and Tony done his normal speech of welcoming him to the team.....

Harry being bloody Harry, didn't engage his brain first and said "welcome to the club Martin and if you wanna come to my flat tonight you won't have to dream about us being naked as we will be!!!"

Typical bloody Harry!!!
