I was walking to reception as I needed to see what Leo had done about extending the staff flats by another 4 flats.

The gym is extremely busy. Tom and William flat out doing their clinics and Connor, Troy and Steve busy with the boot camps.

Heather has 9 spray tans to do today!! The woman clients love her and she already has a diary full of repeat clients. Brandon is very happy with her work.

Afternoon tea is fully booked so much in fact Billy is having to refuse 'walk in's'.

I sat in the office reminiscing about how the hotel started to where it is today. Award winning and full of staff who work hard, play hard, and look out for each other.

Sam came into the office....Mr dodgy bollocks has been to magistrates court and the 3 magistrates on the bench has warranted that his case needs to go to the Crown Court!

He could be looking at a jail term. Sam also warned me that the CPS will be calling me as a witness at the trial, if he pleads 'not guilty'.

Sam then added that he 'understands me' but even though his solicitor has all the evidence including the covert surveillance that his team undertook, he could still plead not guilty which means I have no choice but to attend as a witness if I get a 'witness summons'.

Sam then added "If you fail to attend court after being served with a witness summons, you risk serious consequences, including, Arrest. The court may issue a warrant for your arrest to ensure your attendance."

I looked at Sam and realised he was being serious.......

The hotel was busy in all departments.

Later on, Luke was running the evening fitness classes, so as usual Harry was in mine and Dylan's flat.

Sunday morning.

We're having breakfast compliments of Harry and Alex. A nice full English fry up!!

Liam and Martin were getting the carvery ready and lovely Harry was helping them.

Liam was very nervous despite having done the carvery many times with Harry.

Harry asked was he was nervous?

"Because you have always been in charge, replied Liam, and I was just helping you"

Harry, bless him, gave Liam a hug and said "you'll be OK, your capable and Martin isn't stupid and will be a good help to you....now what help do you need now mate? You want me to help with the potatoes? Vegetables or giant Yorkshire puds?"

Just before midday......

Mary and Chantell arrive for waitressing in the carvery.

First guests start arriving.....

Liam gave Martin a hug....

Liam decided that the first hour he will be carver and Martin looks after the veggies, gravy and Yorkshire and then swop roles every hour.

123 carveries later the carvery ends. It was an extremely busy afternoon. 218 drinks, 123 tea/coffees and 60 bottles of wine served to the guests!!

Mary and Chantell had really earned their wages and tips today....

It was also nice to see that they gave Liam and Martin £100 between them. Apparently, rumour has it the girls got over £600 in tips between them.

Billy totalled up the carvery takings.

Carvery £1,537.50

Drinks £1,090.00

Tea/coffee £ 307.50

Wine £ 900.00

Total.......£3,835.00

This was the most money we have taken on the carveries.

I was absolutely thrilled with how Liam and Martin handled the carvery and of course the takings!!

Even the bar staff were busy!!

Next morning.......

06.45am

Breakfast finished and Ian brings Smudge to his new day home behind reception. The little bugger even has breakfast with us now and the kitchen staff give me his breakfast in his bowl!!!

06.50am

Bob the builder arrives in reception and says hello to Leo and Billy.

For the first time ever Smudge jumped onto reception desk and 'hissed' at Robert!! He had his paw up ready to bash Robert. In fact Smudge stood between the lads and Robert like he was protecting them.

He really was 'hissing' at Robert and it was obvious he did not like him at all. This is so unusual for Smudge. Billy ended up lifting Smudge from the desk and put him on the floor onto his makeshift bed.

Anyway Robert told them that his lads will be here soon. 6 in total to get the ground prepared etc.

Tom came out of reception and saw Robert and came over to say hi to him, just as Roberts lads arrived.

Tom knew 2 of the lads and said hello to them. They were old college and friends of his.

Robert got the lads to work.

Billy had already told Robert that the flats interior is to be the same as the other flats so Robert knew what stuff he needed to get.

Leo told me that Robert and his team were on site and working.

I went to see him to say hello and that and saw all of the 6 lads preparing the groundwork for the build. Everyone was busy!

We shook hands and Robert said the 'foundations' are already their as he believes their was a building here in the past? I couldn't answer him as I didn't know.

The good news is the costings had now been reduced! Even better.

The bricks etc are being delivered tomorrow and he thinks they could begin 'laying' the bricks tomorrow as well......its getting better by the minute.......

He then told me he now has a plumber who's 'gas safe' registered, to do the plumbing and heating and an electrian, all in-house so this build will be quicker than the last one!

About midday, Harry went and told Robert and the lads that hot drinks and sandwiches will be brought round to the fire door in about 10 minutes.

Alex and Martin took the hot plate trolley and sandwiches to the fire door....

Smudge obviously either saw the trolley, heard it or smelt it and jumped up and followed it!!

Martin was serving the lads with their hot drinks and sandwiches until it was Roberts turn....

Smudge instantly started 'hissing' at him again and his fur went up and Alex said even his claws was on show. Smudge really doesn't like Robert one bit!!

Even Roberts lads laughted and said the cat hates him!!

Alex told Ian what Smudge has been doing, only to Robert, and Ian said he has never heard or seen Smudge act in that way before?

Alex told me and just as he did we saw Smudge come back in the main entrance, strutting like he owns the place, jumps onto reception desk and purrs at us.

Later on me and Leo goes for a walk to see how Roberts lads are doing. Bloody hell.. the ground has been levelled and prepared for the bricks. 4 out of the 6 lads were shirtless, just wearing their work shorts and boots.

One of the lads asked us if they could use the gym and showers after work like he did last time?

Leo recognised him and said "oh..yes I remember you...your Tom's mate, wots your name? Neil? Isn't it?

Leo told them that their welcome to use the gym and showers if they want, free of charge. The lads cheered and Neil said "but not you boss, looking directly at Robert, as the cat might claw you to death!"

Smudge was definitely up to something.....what we didn't know, but he wasn't looking happy and was strutting around the hotel. He managed to get into the kitchen unseen by anybody until we heard Harry scream!!! Smudge decided it would be funny to climb up Harry's trousers!! Harry didn't know what was happening, screamed and then realised it was Smudge.....Alex had to pull him off Harry's leg. He took him back to reception. Billy called Ian on the radio who decided it was best to lock him up in his flat as he's being a little bugger today.

We sat down in the office and I started by saying "Martin, can we have a no bullshit, no lies, man to man talk, saying it as it is please?"

40 minutes later.....

Martin, Connor and Tony arrived back each carrying something of Martin's belongings.

Bags of clothing, 6 pairs of trainers, sheets, quilt and pillow cases.

They dropped the stuff off in reception and Tony went to get his trolley as he still has a boot full of stuff!!

Later on I was relaxing with Dylan on the sofa when their was a knock on the door.

In pop's Harry and Liam.....

The 111 operator suggested that we go to A&E as Harry could have an

Infection caused by the bacterium Bartonella henselae, that cats can carry. Plus his recent brain trauma and the tablets that he is on. He will definitely need a tetanus jab plus antibiotics.

It just had to be Harry didn't it!

I told Harry I'm taking him to the A&E just to be on the safe side.

As I was getting changed and putting my trainers on Tony and Ian came into my flat.....

Ian was distraught.......and kept apologising to Harry. I explained what the 111 operator told me and I'm taking Harry to the A&E.

Tony said he will get the car and Ian said his coming as well.

Harry was embarrassed and told us all he's ok and he will make an appointment with his doctor tomorrow.

Harry said he was fine and will speak to a doctor tomorrow.

We got their and as we were booking Harry in reception, the receptionist said they have received notification from 111.

I'm not joking now, but full praise to the staff at the hospital, as a triage nurse saw Harry within 15 minutes of us arriving and within a further 40 minutes Harry was in a cubicle being seen by a doctor! Well done NHS!!!

I was with Harry when the doctor was looking at Harry's scratches on his legs.....he told us the cat needs his claws clipping as the scratches were quite deep. He then praised Harry for the way he had cleaned the scratches saying he done a good job cleaning out all remains like fur and dirt etc.

Harry looked at me and we both knew it was Liam that cleaned them.

The doctor told us that the scratches are a bit inflamed and red so he could have a infection. He then gave Harry a prescription for 7 days antibiotics of 4 tablets a day. He also told him he's going to give him a tetanus shot in his bum!!

Harry hates needles!! He slipped his shorts down and buried his head in the pillow!!

All done and dusted we left A&E.

On the way home Harry said "as I've been brave and had a needle in me bum, I need a milkshake!!"

Ian didn't say anything......we got towards the traffic lights where we should go straight on to get back to the hotel but Ian turned right and then left where I saw the big 'M'

Ian drove though the drive though and ordered 3 big mac meals with 2 strawberry milkshakes and a banana one for me.!!!

Tony drove us back to the hotel where we found Luke pacing up and down reception...

Update.....

Today, real time 1.30pm

Brandon writing this part....

I'm going to Ireland with Arlo on Monday (hopefully!! Weather permitting) and I have a lot of clients booked in next week for spray tanning and sunbeds.

Bradley has said he will work extra hours and then Heather, the lovely Heather said she can work all 7 days next week.....Monday to Friday 09.00am to 2.00pm and then her normal Saturday and Sunday. Thank you Heather.

I got onto the phones and phoned my clients explaining 'I've had a death in the family' but Heather will be taking over my sessions if that's ok? Only 3 cancelled as they didn't feel 'comfortable' having somebody new spray tan them. Fair comment I suppose.

The clients I had today were all seen by Bradley and thankfully not one minded.

I went back to my flat and Arlo wasn't their? Where on earth is he?

I went to the staff quarters where I saw Aiden and Josh, but neither had seen Arlo..

The same was said when I went to Jason's flat.

I went to reception to ask Billy where Arlo was and noticed Arlo's office door open......

Arlo, Aiden, Josh and Brandon at airport waiting for flight.

We eventually managed to get to Gramps home. The plane out was delayed then we had a 2 hour drive here.

Aiden has gone very quite, thank god Josh is with him at the moment.

The funeral is Wednesday and Gramps is being brought here tomorrow in a closed coffin.

Harry's Teddy is already sitting on a chair next to where the coffin is going. Aiden wants Teddy to give Gramps some comfort like it did for Nanna.

We're flying back to the UK Thursday afternoon.

I heard a big cheer go up from those that heard what Sam said.

Leo walked up to me and gave me a hug as did Billy.

Arlo and Aiden stood at their office door and clapped saying 'justice at last!'

I sat down on the reception sofa and started crying....mainly out of relief...........
