Pushing me gently to one side of the bed Captain sat up.”I have to show you something before I tell you sweety” he said quietly.Intrigued I sat up naked on the bed as he quickly got up and walked over to the wardrobe.Reaching up his hands he grasped a old shoebox that sat amongst other dusty looking boxes.

“I’ve never shown anybody else these Dannyboy” he said turning looking at me with serious eyes.

“What are they?” I asked smiling at him as he walked naked back to bed and sat down.”The start of a nightmare honey “ he whispered taking the dusty lid from the shoebox.

Looking down I could see a pile of enveloped letters yellowed by time.

Fumbling through them Captain pulled one from the bundle.”This one was the first I received weeks before the beach” he said handing it to me.Pulling the letter from the envelope I looked down at words that had been made up by letters from what looked like old newspaper cuttings.

KEEP YOUR QUEER EYES AWAY it read, “what the fuck!” I said under my breath looking up at Captain.

“This one a day before the beach” he said handing me another yellowed envelope.A cold shiver ran down my spine as I quickly opened the envelope and looked at stuck on news paper clippings.’I CURSE YOU QUEER BOY KEEP AWAY’ it read.

“Who the hell sent you these?” I asked looking up at Captain as he sorted through the envelopes.”I’ve thought the same thing for many years sweety, this one was a day after the beach” he said pulling the letter from the envelope and holding it up for me to read.This time the letters where all in red news paper clippings.’YOUVE RUINED A LIFE BEFORE IT BEGUN WITCH AND QUEER BOY WILL HAVE NONE.’swallowing hard I looked back at Captain.”Threats,someone was sending you threats,Why?” I asked watching him unfold another.”My guess because I’m gay and someone hates that Dannyboy”he said holding open the letter.

‘BAD ACCIDENTS HAPPEN BUT SACRIFICES ARE FOR A GREATER CAUSE’.”when did you receive this one?”I asked as I read it.

“One week after his death” Captain said softly looking at me with tearful eyes.

Great story but gotta be honest, it's losing me ... the whole story has taken place over a 24 hour timescale (pretty sure), but has taken 17 chapters, 4/5 months to tell so far, and young Danny has had 600 hard penises

Probably my opinion only, but great story's need to crack on and wrap up to remain great. Appreciate there's a lot of twists and turns included in the tale, but a lot of them are lost over the passage of time. Also the fact that all this has happened over 24 hours, the enormity of it all is lost if the reader can't recall it all.

Again just my opinion, but if anyone wants their story to remain a good story, it needs to move along quicker

“ How did he die?”I asked looking at the Bundle of letters that Captain still hadn’t shown me.

“The police say he drowned Dannyboy, but I think differently “ Captain whispered looking through the envelopes quickly.”How did he drowned, where?” I asked as I felt a shiver run up my naked back.

“Well sweety it was a few weeks after the beach, everything had changed in the village for us once word got out on what we was caught doing on the beach.”Captain said pulling another letter from an envelope.”Your aunt was thrown out of her family home and had to come live with me for a while, Just as well she did, as I lost my job at the bank. Sacked because of the glares and loose talk of the village”Captain said shaking his head.

“Why only my aunt? My mum and my other aunt was on that beach to” I asked looking down at the letter that Captain held in his hand.

“Indeed they was sweety but your aunt Jean took all the flack.Everyone believed she had cast some strange spell over her sisters that made them do it. The poor thing even got blamed for David’s strange behaviour once we got back” he said quietly.

“Strange behaviour, like what?” I asked looking back up at him.

“Well sweety, he changed from that night on the beach, he seemed to be controlled strongly by his own sexual needs, It was like he didn’t care anymore.He was even arrested once for being found naked and masterbating in the graveyard.”

“Blimey, didn’t you ever ask him why he acted like that?” I said looking puzzled.

“No sweety, your aunt and I was to busy hiding away from the rest of the village and their judgments.” Captain said looking up at me.”We ended up leaving for a bit, went traveling hoping it would have all blown over by the time we got back” he said.

“So what’s that one say?” I asked looking down at the letter he held tightly in his hand.

“It’s from David, I think he wrote it on the day he died” he said handing it to me.
