When I was 18 - After finishing School I travelled from UK first to Norway then onto Sweden & finally Denmark before returning home

In Copenhagen I had planned to stay for 4 days - up until this point I’d enjoyed the places I’d been to but Copenhagen to this day is my favourite place ever.

I came across a gay bar and thought why not it was afternoon sometime

I was sitting on a stool by myself and soon had a guy sit next to me - he began a conversation (in Danish) but he switched to speak perfect English when I I explained I was from the UK.

In appearance we looked similar - back then I was slim, had fair hair, blue eyes looked tidy - he was similar to me in every way looks height weight - and yes I found him attractive (at the time although I didn’t know it he found me attractive too)

So we bought each other a few drinks and spent a good hour or two chatting

I then said that I was going back to my hotel to shower change and go for a meal - he said that if I wanted to that he would join me for a meal and that he would take me for a night out in Copenhagen

I thought there and then do I ask him back to my hotel … but whilst thinking about that he asked if meeting up at the gay bar around 7-7.30 was ok with me, so I agreed.

Later after getting ready I set off to the gay bar not really expecting or anticipating anything - if he was there then great if not - I’d buy a drink and move on for somewhere to eat.

I was early it was about 6.45 and as I approached the door I saw him standing outside - he was early too

He greeted me with a warm smile and he handed me a single pink carnation and kissed me on the cheek (later that night there was much kissing and amazing sex - but that will feature in the next part of my true story - if anyones interested)
