Part xxvii
It suddenly dawned on me that Marion was not joking as she turned and left the room and headed downstairs, I take another look in the mirror and then follow her downstairs where she is waiting with her phone in the living room, as I enter she directs me where to stand as she takes pictures of me and suggests poses, before long I’m sitting in the arm chair with my stockings and suspenders on show and creating some teasing content as Marion is snapping away, right she says that will do for now maybe we can take some while out a d when we get back! Out I say, out where? Marion smiles and said I thought we could head in to town and stretch our legs, I’m a little hesitant and Marion says it’s dark so no-one can see you and even if they did they wouldn’t be able to tell in the dark! With that she picks up the keys and grabs my arm and we walk to the front door, I pick up my car keys as we leave and I walk very carefully down the path trying not to trip, Marion locks the doors and catches me up and grabs my arm and we walk together to the car, I quickly push the ‘unlock’ button on the keyfob and the indicators flash and the lights come on, I scan the area and can see houses with lights on and the curtains/blinds open and feel everyone is looking at me and Marion whispers to me ‘relax’ as we arrive at the car, she goes to the passenger door and I head for the drivers door, we both open the respective doors and climb inside, I remember how Marion got in the car previously and try to copy that motion, as I flick my legs in and close the door I suddenly realise I’m wearing high heels to drive in! I start the car and put it in reverse and carefully edge back and turn the car around, Marion is struggling with the seat belt so I offer assistance and she is soon buckled in, I then swiftly buckle mine before I select first gear and pull away swiftly, as I drive away from the house I’m conscious of the fact that Anne & Kevin might be out walking and hope that is not the case and I get my wish as I arrive at the end of the road, turn left Marion says and I start heading north towards Colchester, I ask Marion where are we going and she responds with let’s try Witham, she directs me through Great Braxted and down the A12 until we reach the exit for Witham, at the end of the exit are some traffic lights and I sit waiting at the red light for a considerable time, eventually they turn green and I pull away heading towards the town centre! After a few yards Marion indicates that I need to take the next right hand turn, as I approach the turning I can see it is an industrial estate but nonetheless I start indicating and then turn into the road and continue to the end as per Marion’s instructions and park. As we sit at the end of the road we can just about hear the noise of the traffic, I scan all around and see that we are alone and turn to look at Marion, she asks if I’m ready and with that she releases her seatbelt and opens the door and gets out, I switch of the engine, undo my seatbelt and exit the car, we both close our doors and I lock the car. The air is slightly cooler now with a slight breeze, I walk around the car and join Marion, she takes my arm and asks if I’m ready and I reply with ready for what? Marion chuckles and says come on and we start walking back up the road towards the main road, my stomach starts churning as we near the junction, we turn right and start walking towards the centre of town, the street lights illuminate the path as we continue walking south and a steady stream of traffic pass in both directions, Marion asks if I’m OK walking in heels and reminds me to land on the heel and roll forward on to the toes, I respond with a yes I’m fine and at that moment a car horn bibs and headlights flash, and then we hear whistles and cheers as the car passes by and Marion giggles and said they certainly think you are a woman! We continue walking up to the next junction and Marion indicates we should turn and head back as we don’t want to go to far on the first attempt, as we turn a lorry is coming towards us and its headlights engulf us in bright light so all drivers can see us, we get a few more cheers and whistles as we head back towards the car and I’m starting to relax and my hips are starting to wiggle even, as get closer to the road where the car is parked Marion drops a bombshell and suggests that we pop into the petrol station and grab a bottle of wine, I get very nervous again as we get closer to the forecourt and I can see all the lights and cars filling up with petrol, my heart starts racing and my nerves get the better of me and I ask Marion if we could do it at another time, she just pulls me close by my arm and said no time like the present and pulls me towards the station, as we walk across the forecourt Marion strides out and I’m literally being dragged behind, Marion detects my hesitation and suggests I wait outside in the corner and shadows, I agree and as Marion goes inside I walk past the entrance and head towards the corner of the forecourt where the lighting is dim, I stand near the building so I can see Marion inside the shop as she looks at the wine, I think to myself she is taking a long time to pick a wine when a man’s voice suddenly say hello, I turn very slowly and lower my head slightly and muster a high pitched “hi” in an attempt to disguise my voice and the man continues walking past, he disappears inside the shop, my heart rate is racing and I quickly scan around to see if anyone else is going to suddenly walk by but thankfully no, my gaze returns to the shop and I finally see Marion walking towards the tills with wine in hand, there is a little delay as drivers pay for the petrol, Marion finally gets to pay for the wine and as she turns to leave the shop the ‘hello’ man stops and says something to her, Marion then looks out the window towards me and says something the man and smiles before leaving the shop and joining me outside, as she gets closer she takes my arm and we walk side by side back towards the industrial estate and the car, Marion then explains what happened in the shop as ‘hello’ man had commented how lucky he was to walk past two lovely looking women with such shapely legs!! We continue our walk back to the car and as I unlock it Marion asks how are the nerves and I explain my heart did race a fair bit, she holds up the bottle of wine and suggests we go home and raise a glass to Sienna’s first outing!
