Zak still here.....

We got back to Connor's flat.

Arlo, Brandon, Aiden and Josh were still their....and still just in shorts and sliders!

I saw Max's eyes, move around the room 'eyeing up' the lads.

The lads all shook hands with Max and I think he was a bit shocked to see the Director of the Business Centre standing in front of him in just a pair of shorts!

Martin went and got the bottled beer and handed them around

The atmosphere was a bit 'charged' and felt very sexual...if you know what I mean?

Max made a comment...."god..I feel a bit overdressed at the moment!"

Aiden, not missing a trick, the little bugger, said "I bet you have your gym kit in your bag with shorts in it?"

Max looked at him...."oh...yea, I have actually"

He then got up and asked if he should get changed then?

Martin told him where the bathroom was.....

A couple of minutes later......

Max came out of the bathroom dressed in just shorts, sports white ankle socks and his trainers.....

He sat down saying "that feels better, more comfortable and chilled. To be honest when I'm in my place I wear just shorts or sometimes butt naked!"

We all laughted and Josh replied "welcome to the club and our world mate!"

Max then shocked everybody by saying "I don't mean to be rude or upset anybody, but I've noticed that a lot of you seem to be "partnered" up with each other? I don't mind if some of you are gay, it doesn't really bother me"

Max then looked at Arlo and Brandon.

His face told me that he recognised them?

I saw his eyes move side to side like he was desperately trying to remember....

Then I saw he had his Eureka moment when he finally remembered!!

He smiled......"sorry, but are you the Arlo and Brandon the lads that stripped on stage at the emergency services gay Weekender you held here?"

How the hell did he know that? Did he attend it? Was he their?

How the hell did Max know that?

The only way is if he attended!!

When asked, he admitted that he did attend the Weekender on both days as he was 'supporting' his mate from college who was undertaking the level 1 National Foundation Diploma in Uniformed Protective Services.

His mate wants to be a paramedic with the ambulance service and is bisexual.

None of the lads at the hotel recognised him though?

Max admitted that he wore a domino mask which is a small and rounded mask covering only the area around the eyes and the space between them. He also had his face painted which the 'rainbow' colours!!!

Of course Aiden had to ask how he was dressed!!

"Well, apart from my mask I had a tee shirt, shorts, socks and trainers on, but I soon removed my tee-shirt as it was warm and my mate removed his"

Connor immediately asked if he knew his mate?

"Yea I think both you and Zak knew him as he used to use the gym as well. But please don't ask me who it is, as he's still not 'out' as such and if his dad found out...well their would be big trouble"

Connor nodded, and looked liked he know who it was, but didn't say anything.

The next minute their was a knock on the door.....it was Harry and Luke.

Martin invited them in.....

"We wondered where you lot were? As nobody was answering their doors!!!" Said Harry......

Of course Harry and Luke were also just in shorts and trainers!!

Connor introduced Max to them and said he was a friend of his and Zaks.

Harry smiled...."sorry Zak, didn't recognise you without your clothes on".....

Harry knows him?

Of course, Harry cooked and served the builder students lunch all week!

Zak made a comment about one day Harry is going to have to cook his burgers and chips again like he did at the gay Weekender!!

Now, Harry is not daft. In fact Harry is very clever, astute and doesn't forget things or faces!

I saw Harry's eyes roll about and he looked directly into Zaks eyes.

He then shut his eyes for about 10 seconds and then opened and said...

"The gay Weekender? You and your mate? You had my burger and chips and a cold drink and covered the chips with BBQ sauce....yes it was you, you were wearing a mask like batman does to cover your eyes, but you took it off to eat?"

How the fuck did Harry remember that?????

He served over 500 people that weekend!!!

We were all shocked including Zak!!

Zak asked "how the hell did you remember that?"

Harry smiled "simple really...I thought you looked cute as you had a lovely bulge at the front of your shorts and a lovely arse!!"

With kind permission from Jason, I would like to add a personal note.

I know that I haven't been working at the hotel for long and am the newest member of staff....(I'm not allowed to tell you, yet, wot I do at the hotel or how I become working here! Sorry..orders from Jason!)

But...

As reader '_itom87' says about Harry.."just have to love him ❤️" I know for a fact that everybody here does love Harry...

I have NEVER heard anybody say something bad about him...

He's the most caring lad I know. He never let's anybody go hungry, he's always helping us and making sure we're OK...plus he knows everything thats happening!!

And, as Jason calls it, 'harry-itus' sums up Harry to a 'T'

He says what he thinks!! But it's straight to the point, blunt and truthful!!

He gets very emotional if something goes wrong or somebody gets upset.

He cares about all of us and the hotel....

I can't say too much on this, but Harry was so kind and caring to me when I joined the staff...I was in a mess, both physically and mentally, but he never gave up on me...nor did Jason....

That's what I love about this story and the reason it has been going for so long. Is that it is true and everyone cares and looks out for each other. Harry being the most caring one of all the staff and Jason is a big softie at heart, although he probably won't admit it.

Noahs first Pilates class went well and we have repeat bookings!!

The hotel looks nice with flowers all around, good designs and well arranged....

Arlo done a marketing campaign for 'the Flowery' and next week we have orders totalling £2,760....

How the hell does Arlo do it?

About 8.00pm I received a message over my radio asking me to attend reception immediately for a telephone call.....

I got to reception and Leo looked really white and shocked....

Billy had tears in his eyes.

I picked up the phone.....

It was the police informing me that their has been an accident at a well known pleasure beach.....

Sean and William were having a day out to this pleasure beach!!

I listened carefully and found out that both of them were now at the local hospital being treated for multiple injuries.

The Lincolnshire police told me that around "25 people were stuck on the ride, called the Super Trooper, when at 6.00pm the ride had malfunctioned and was suspended in the air with a number of people stuck on the ride".

They also said that Sean and William has multiple injuries but none serious, but at the hospital to be on the safe side, with the others that were stuck on the ride.

After this phone call I immediately called Sean on his mobile...

No reply......

Phoned William.....

No reply.....

I was getting worried and upset....

I then phoned the hospital.....

Got a shitty receptionist who wouldn't tell me anything as she didn't know if "I was the press trying to get a story"

I 'lost it' with her and told her her fortune!!

I immediately apologised and explained who I was etc etc.

She promised she would get Sean or William to contact me, if indeed they were at the hospital.

She wouldn't confirm if they were or were not!!

I can understand now that she done absolutely the right thing in what she was telling me.

The longest 22 minutes of my life passed before my phone rang.......

It was Sean....thank god...

He was crying.........

Sean was crying on the phone....

The hospital is keeping William in overnight as he has had stitches to his head and possibly has concussion.

The cut was caused when the ride carriages collided with each other and he banged his head on a metal strut.

I told him I'm coming to the hospital now and will book a hotel for us.

Unfortunately, the 'gossip mill' had already started and I then had Harry come flying into reception in tears.

He asked if it was true if William and Sean were in hospital...?

He was really upset and said "your going to the hospital aren't you?"

I told him I was and then, bless him, he said "give me 5 minutes to get changed and I'm coming with you"

He didn't actually ask, he kind of told me!

5 minutes later he came down, with his backpack....he had stopped crying but his eyes were very red.

We jumped into the car and we drove to Skegness general hospital.

It was a long way and I asked Harry to get on the phone and find a hotel for the 3 of us for tonight.

Harry, bless him, said he's brought a couple of sets of spare clothing for Sean and William, just in case they are a bit bloody.

This is so typical of Harry....

After about the 6th phone call Harry managed to find a hotel with vacancies.

He managed to get a room with 3 beds in it. A double and a single.

Harry explained the situation to the hotel about the accident and told them we will be arriving later as we have to go to the hospital first.

The hotel was fully understanding and had heard about the accident.

We got to the hospital and was directed to a room where we found Sean sitting with his head in his hands.

At least the local police had left a female police officer with him.

We went in and introduced ourselves to the officer.

Sean flew himself at me hugging me and started sobbing.

The officer had the decency to tell us "you need a bit of privacy, Sean has my phone number if you need anything" she then left the room.

Sean was really upset, this making Harry get a bit tearful as well.

A nurse came and saw us asking if we wanted to see William?

Stupid question really!!!

We got to the ward and saw William talking to a doctor, or should I say, arguing with him.

Sean shouted "WILLIAM!"

William stopped talking and looked at us 3 standing their.....

"Shut up William, said Sean, "listen to the doctor. Apparently you have concussion and they want you to stay in overnight to be on the safe side. Us 3 are booked into the local hotel and we will all go home tomorrow"

William didn't say another word!!!

I saw Harry look at William's partly shaved head and the stitches and I saw his legs started to buckle....

Oh fuck......

Of course, Harry is reminiscing about his own head and brain trauma that was very life threatening for him....

How could I have been so fucking stupid in letting him come with me.

Jason, although Harry is suffering from his memories he would have been far worse if he hadn't been there imagining possibly even worse. You have done what he asked of you. You couldn't do any more. You do so much to protect and look after everyone. Sometimes decisions need to be made by the individuals themselves and they need to accept the consequences. At least you are there with him so he knows he is safe.

(I've just spoke to Harry about the last part and the comments written and the Dm's received....I now quote Harry..."trust me dad, I was going with you to the hospital one way or another...even if I had to hide in the boot of the car"

Love you son!!

Anyway.......

Sean managed to calm William down. I've never seen Sean like that or talk with so much authority in his voice...

Me, Harry and Sean managed to eventually get to our hotel for the night. It was a nice 3 star one and the bedroom had an ensuite with a nice view overlooking their gardens.

It was decided that Harry shares the double bed with Sean.

We were all knackered so decided to have a quick shower and then bed.

Sean came out of the shower in just a pair of shorts that Harry brought with him in his backpack...

My god!!!

Sean had 4 rather large bruises on his body....

The largest was on his chest....it was the size of a dinner plate!! The second was on his right upper arm, the 3rd on his right thigh and the 4th on his right calf!

He assured us that he has been x-rayed and the doctors are fully aware of his bruises....and the police have photographed them.

He produced a letter from the hospital confirming this with notes of what he should do, like take pain killers every 4 hours etc etc.

I wasn't happy about this incident.

We all got up in the morning, naturally, without an alarm call at 05.00am!!

We turned on the tv in the room and the local news was covering this accident at the pleasure beach and was showing video footage of the incident....

It was terrifying to watch the ride carts smashing into each other and ending with them upside down....

I saw Sean squirm and he pointed to one of the carts......it was him and William.....William looked like he was 'out of it' and just flopping around like a rag doll being supported by Sean.

Sean started crying and both me and Harry hugged him.....

07.15am....

We went down for breakfast....

We were suprised it was a continental breakfast consisting of toast, croissants, pastries, fruits, yogurt, cereals, and coffee, tea, and juice.

It was help yourself, so we did!!

Sean must have been hungry... thats all I'm going to say!!!

The duty manager of the hotel came and saw us.....

Without our knowledge he had contacted the owners of the pleasure beach, who he says he knows, and told us that the owners have agreed to cover our hotel bill.....

It was a nice gesture but "I was weary of the motives behind it"

The manager saw and picked up my concern and told us the offer to pay was without any strings, it was just in 'good faith'

Harry accepted the offer as he booked the hotel in his name so thought the choice of whether it is accepted rests with him!!

Couldn't argue with his logic, so I didn't....

Sean was on the phone to the hospital and a decision on whether William will be discharged will be made at about 11.00am when the doctor 'does his rounds'

We checked out of the hotel at checkout time 11.00am and the manager said he would keep the room free for us in case William is kept in another night.....

We thanked him for his kind thought.

We got to the hospital at 11.45am...

William was sitting in a chair by his bed, fully clothed!

The doctor had discharged him!

His tee shirt and jeans were a bit bloody.....

Harry gave him a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt he had put in his back pack, handed them to him and closed the curtains so he could get changed.

William then asked Sean if he would drive home as the doctor advised him not to drive for a few days!!

Sean looked at me.....

Oh fuck....we all forgot about Williams car!!

We got to his car.....

Bloody typical....a parking ticket was stuck on his windscreen!!

A bloody parking ticket, just about summed up the trip for the lads!!

Sean said he was ok to drive but I was a bit concerned and offered to get the car recovered instead.

Sean insisted so him and William went in their car and Harry came with me.

Harry's not allowed to drive due to his medical condition.

We agreed to stop at the first service station for a cuppa and a break.

After 2 stops and of course a stop at McDonald's at Harry's insistence we eventually got back to the hotel.

Most of the lads were waiting in reception for us to arrive back as Harry had phoned Leo to give him an ETA.

The incident had been all over the BBC news and all over social media. The lads at the hotel were really concerned about Sean and William.

They got a nice welcome back and were really fussed over.

Leo told them that they are to chill out in their flat as they are both now on sick leave until further notice.

Lovely Liam went straight into medical mode and told them he will be monitoring their medication and health.....

Sean was really quiet and didn't argue......I was concerned not about his physical injuries but his mental health......

Liam got the lads to their flat and settled.

He came down and told me that he has seen their injuries and how lucky they were not as serious as they could have been...... he then told me that Sean wasn't his 'normal self'.

Next morning.....

I went to Sean and Williams flat to make sure they were OK....

The pair of them were sitting on their sofa in just shorts...

Bloody hell they both looked like they had gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson....

Liam then came out of their kitchen with 2 cups of coffee for them... he had beaten me to see them.

William was wearing one of Harry's beany hats, that he wears, which he gave to William to cover his partly shaved head and stitches.

They looked OK but both like they were in pain?

Liam had been watching them closely.

Liam told me that they have taken their painkillers and the bruising on them were now 'coming out' hence the blackness of them.

The next minute, Harry walked in with his heated trolley and smiled at them....."breakfast lads as I thought you might not be ready for all the questions the others will ask you"

Harry started getting the plates and cutlery and laid the table for them.

Me and Liam left them to it...

We both went into the dining room and had our breakfasts with the lads firing us with lots of questions about Sean and William....

Good thinking on Harry's part taking them their breakfasts to their flat.

Just as breakfast was finishing Noah and Dean walked in.....they had been to the flower wholesalers.

Alex served them their breakfasts.

Later on, me and Arlo went to the Business Centre to see how it was getting on....

We were both amazed at the progress.

Offices now built, all electrics in and now their working on the internal decorating.

The dividing wall separating the 2 buildings was now down....

Jesus the Business Centre now looks huge!!

John and Henry, with the help of Zak was now building another office in the main reception to house the telephone and mail handling side of the business.

Zak said hello, but he wasn't as cheerful as he normally is and seemed to have a black eye? Henry asked if it's OK for Zak to stay for evening meal tonight and possibly the night in the staff quarters?

I was just about to ask if their was a problem with Zak, but the look that Henry gave me, was clearly telling me not too.....so I didn't, just nodded.

Dean asked if it was OK for him and Noah to stay the night as Noah has to go to the flower wholesalers tomorrow and went on to tell me how it was easier for them to stay etc etc!

I put my hands up to stop him talking......"Dean, shut up! Its a wonder you 2 haven't moved in full time by now!!"

Dean looked shocked...."you mean as in live together in the staff quarters? Is that allowed?"

I laughted...."don't forget who owns the hotel mate!!!....."

Arlo smiled "think you need more staff flats Jason, the way things are going!"

Me and Arlo got back to the hotel with Arlo telling me that his latest marketing campaign for the Business Centre is now ready to go.... he wants to speak to Aiden about the release date......

I made a comment to Billy that I'm going to see Sean and William to see how they are, to be told their in the gym!!!!

I was, to be truthful, fucking fuming and matched to the gym to give them a right old bollocking!

Billy was shouting "JASON, JASON!" but I ignored him.....

I got to the gym, the fuckers weren't in the gym.....nor the changing rooms......

I stormed to Tom's office.....

Connor stopped me and told me that Tom is busy.....his massaging and relaxing Sean and William!!

Tom heard the commotion....yes I'm sorry to say I was being a bit loud, when Tom came out of his treatment room asking "what the bloody hells going on here!"

I then heard William shout "for fucks sake Jason, come in!"

Tom invited me into his room.....

Their on the 2 massage tables were William and Sean, in just shorts, laying on the tables....

The lighting was dimmed and green in colour and music "Watermark" by Enya which Tom then told me is a good choice for relaxation and meditation.

I wish the ground would swallow me up whole!! I felt such a bloody fool!!

What a fucking idiot I was!

Sean and William looked so relaxed and chilled out.....

The lads had a nice 'shine' like an oil over their bodies.

Tom told me his using Tiger Balm Liniment oil.

He then told me that Tiger Balm creates a warming effect, a warming sensation that can distract from pain and discomfort and it also helps improve blood circulation.

The warming sensation also increases blood flow to the area, which can help speed up the healing process and reduce swelling and its great for pain relief as it can provide temporary relief from minor aches and pains associated with bruises.

I have never felt so stupid in my life!!!

Harry and Liam were doing their up market afternoon teas in the Orangery.

They were busy.....it was nearly full, only 4 tables free!

4.30pm.......

I saw John, Henry and Zak arrive in reception....

Billy immediately gave Zak a door card for the staff quarters and I held Billy ask him if he was ok?

Zak just nodded......

Mmmnnnn....what's going on here? I have a feeling that John, Henry and Billy and probably 1 or 2 others know something about Zak, that I don't?

Noah came into reception and told Billy that tomorrow's flower orders are all ready and wrapped.

Noah had done 8 orders today totalling £480 !!

Good grief the Flowery is busy all of a sudden.......

I went to see Arlo in his office...

Yes, Arlo had done a marketing campaign last week for the Flowery and it's listed as a service on our website now as well.

That's accounts for why Noah is busy!!

Arlo then told me that Noah now has 4 Pilates classes each week with 2 classes being on Saturday mornings.

Well done Noah!!!

I needed to see him and thank him, so I went to the staff quarters..

I knocked on the door and heard "hello" so I went in......

I found both Zak and Noah in their gym kits....

They were both drinking a protein shake drink.

Noah said their going to the gym..

Zak certainly 'wasn't his normal self' and the bruising on his face was more prominent now....

"Ouch, thats looks painful" I said to Zak....

"I walked into the bloody edge of a open door!"

He then quickly said "at home, not at the Business Centre"

I looked at him....I wasn't sure if I believed him?

My gut instinct was telling me something else to be honest....

I hoped and prayed I was wrong......

Zak and Noah had been to the gym....

I noticed that Zak didn't have a shower at the gym and he obviously didn't take his shirt off judging from the amount of sweat on his shirt.

He had a shower in the staff quarters but came back into the living room with a shirt on...

I wasn't happy as my gut was telling me something was wrong?

As Noah went for his shower I told Zak to take his shirt off please.....

He looked at me and asked why?

I told him again to take his shirt off, telling him that my gut is telling me somethings not right.

He lifted his shirt up at the front showing his belly......

I again told him to take it off....

I thought his was about to burst into tears as he lifted the shirt above his head to remove it......

He had a bruise just above his right nipple.....

I told him to turn around.....

I saw the tears running down his cheeks.....

He turned around and showed me his back.....

MY GOD!

it looked like somebody had hit him with a belt....

I told him to put his shirt back on and I also told him.......

"Zak, your safe here, I won't ask any questions. All I will say is their will always be a room here for you if you need it and if you need to talk, when ever your ready, I'll listen"

He started crying and hugged me tightly....

Noah came out of the shower in just a pair of shorts....

He told Zak "the showers free"

Zak looked at me and said "thanks Jason"

He then went to have a shower and I said bye to both of them.

I went back to reception, a bit worried about Zak.....

I met John and Henry on the way who asked if I have a few minutes spare to have a chat?

They asked if we can go to their flat?

I followed them to their flat and we went in with Henry saying he'll make the cappuccinos........

We sat down and John immediately removed his shirt saying "thats more comfortable"

Henry appeared with the cappuccinos and immediately removed his shirt as well!

They both looked at each other...

"Ok lads, wots going on? I asked, you wanted to talk, so talk"

It was John that told me "we're a bit concerned about Zak? I asked him when he's next visiting to see Connor again and use the gym? He told us he would love too but don't think he would be allowed too? I told him that Connor and Martin want to see him again. Zak nearly started crying so we asked him if he's ok? He seemed to be in a bit of pain and then told us something....he's being bullied by a couple of his housemates and can't wait to get out but he can't move out yet, not for another 6 months"

"Why? I asked....why wouldn't he be allowed to use the gym and why can't he move out earlier than 6 months?"

John looked at Henry and Henry looked at John.....

Something was going on here?

"Zaks tutor told us something about him.....Zak was present at the time and looked upset...let's put it this way, let's just say he needs "permission" to do things and where he lives for the next 6 months..... we had to confirm in writing that Zak is actially working on site and we were OK with it"

I asked them "if I ask why will you be breaching any secrets he asked you not to tell, as in, he told you in confidence?"

John nodded but did tell me that Zak said he would tell me himself which is why he came back with us and we asked if he wanted to stay overnight to make it easier?"

I informed them that I have already spoken to him, and yes, from wot I saw, the bullying now makes sense. Unfortunately Noah walked into the living room as he was about to say something to me.

Evening meal.....

Zak was present but very quiet. Connor and Martin sat either side of him like they were protecting him?

Later on I was relaxing in my flat with my lovely Dylan when their was a knock on the door....

After shouting "hello" Zak and Connor walked in.

Zak asked if we could "have a chat".

Dylan said he will leave us to chat as he has a "few things to do in the kitchen"

Zak and Connor sat down and Zak immediately put his head in his hands and started crying.....

I got him a brandy to calm him down.

Zak has given me full consent to tell you what he told me, but didn't want to write it himself....

"2 months ago me and a mate were out on the town celebrating his birthday. We were having a good time and my mates friend who is gay joined up with us later. Unfortunately a group of lads took a dislike to my mates friend, who was openly gay. As we left the pub, this gang of 4 lads started pushing and punching him. Obviously me and my mate went to help him.....I punched one of the lads hard resulting in me breaking his nose...I didn't see the copper behind me. He immediately arrested me and couldn't believe it when after hearing my side of the story in a interview room at the police station, that I was just defending my mate and it was self defence, that I was charged with 'Assault occasioning actual bodily harm, under Section 47 of the Offences against the Person Act 1861.' I spend the night in a cell before being released. I was then summoned to appear at the magistrates court. The homophonic bastard that I hit gave a victim statement stating all sort of lies and that as he only lives round the corner from me he feels he is in danger!! The magistrates after hearing my side, and my admission of guilt in hitting him I was sentenced to 6 months jail, suspended for 12 months with 9 months probation and an order that I can't be within 100 metres of the bastards house or him. I felt terrible and couldn't believe what was happening ? This isn't justice!!!! Then afterwards I had to report to probation...they told me that my step dad didn't want me living at home anymore...I was shocked and upset. This horrible probation officer told me that the probation service owns me now for the next 9 months and everything I do has to be approved by her. Any failures will result in her taking me back to court and the possibility of the court sending me to prison. She then took me to this hostel type place which was a house share with 5 bedrooms. I'm living their now. The house has a Manager that is their Monday to Friday 08.00am to 6pm. The rest of the time, we are alone and we are free to do what we want. If we go out we are to tell the manager in the morning where we are going etc. I have to tell him that I'm going to college, working at the Business Centre and that for example I'm staying here overnight"

Zak was really getting upset now so I just sat with him and gave him a hug.....

After Zak eventually calmed down and stopped crying, I asked his permission to take photos of the bruising on his chest and back.

He told me that their are a couple of older "bullies" at the place where his living at. They constantly whip him with a trouser belt, steal his food and generally make his life hell....

He removed his shirt and I took a few photos......

As I was doing this, Dylan came back in and saw the bruising on Zaks back.

I saw Dylan shuddered and shake...

"Who done that to you Zak?" Dylan asked.....

Zak told him......

"Zak, your staying tonight, as in this flat in one of the bedrooms" Replied Dylan.

Zak told him his staying in the staff quarters...... for Dylan to tell him..."no your not, your staying here with me and Jay."

Dylan then said he will "make up the bed" in the spare bedroom.

Zak asked if he could have a shower?

When Zak was showering, Dylan TOLD ME,... NO HE INSISTED, that I speak to his probation officer first thing tomorrow and tell the bitch that we want Zak to 'live in'. Tell her that we want him to be our onsite maintenance man but still attending college.

It's very rare that Dylan speaks to me or anybody for that matter, like that....he was really angry!

Zak came out of the shower dressed in only shorts and said "if it's OK, I think I'll go to bed now as it's been a bit emotional"

He hugged both me and Dylan, thanking us.......

Dylan asked him if he would like to live at the hotel fulltime if Jason can arrange it with your probation officer?

Zak burst into tears......

"That would be great, if you don't mind? But she's a bitch and will probably so no....she's power mad"

He hugged us both again

I couldn't sleep that night, I was too 'het-up' about Zak....

As you regular readers will know.. the hotel hosts conferences, seminars and training events organised by the police, emergency services and the probation service.

The last time Probation held a training course here was a couple of months ago.....

I asked Leo if we still have the attendance list of the names of the officers etc that attended?

Silly question to ask Leo! He who knows everything!

Within seconds, literally, he produced a print out of all the people that attended with their job titles as well!!!

I scanned the list and found that the 'bitch' as Zak calls her, was on the attendance list and so was the senior Probation Officer working out of her office.

I phoned the local Probation office and after some interrogation by whoever answered the phone and major persuasion on my part I got through to the Senior Probation officer!!

He remembered me and said "I was going to phone you next week...my boss wants me to organise another area seminar at your place!"

I explained the situation to him about Zak for him to stop me as he's not allowed to discuss individual cases with me.

I explained I have his permission and told him I'm prepared to bring him to the office so we can talk?

He informed me that Zak is an adult at 23 years old and asked why I'm getting involved?

I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere so I used my trump card I had up my sleeve.

"Because I have evidence that Zak is being bullied both emotionally and physically at this hostel he is staying at and his probation officer could be homophobic. I have photographs of the severe bruising on his body caused by a trouser belt. I thought we could deal with this without getting the Police or the press involved."

There was silence on the phone for what seemed like ages but was probably only seconds before he answered.....

"OK. What are you proposing?"

I smiled......

"Zaks step dad chucked him out after the court case and he was only put in this hostel to prevent him being homeless and on the streets. Zak is at college full time and is along with 17 other students on work experience refurbishing a Business Centre that I also own. Zak is friends with 4 of my staff. My maintenance team here need another member of staff. My proposal is to offer him a job at the hotel with him still going to college and when he has gained his qualifications he then has a full time job straight away...the job offers a choice of being able to 'live in'. That of course means that his place at the hostel could be offered to somebody else in need? He will of course still be under Probation and I will personally ensure that he attends whatever appointment Probation gives him and undergoes whatever tasks he has to do"

He asked me to "hold the line for a couple minutes"

He came back on the line and asked if both me and Zak could come into the Probation office at 4pm?

At 3.15pm I was at the Business Centre and explained to his college tutors that me and Zak have a meeting with Probation.

Zak asked if he's got time to have a shower and get changed?

I smiled "no Zak I want you to go exactly as you are. In your work kit, dusty, dirty and sweaty! To prove your a good, hard worker....

At 3.50pm we arrived at Probation

We were invited into what looked like an interview room by the receptionist.

Zak looked really nervous and his left leg was tapping on the floor.

Then both his probation officer and the senior officer arrived and shook both of our hands.....

They told us that this meeting is going recorded with vision and sound.

I asked if it's being recorded at the moment?

The senior officer said it was...

I then informed them that if that's the case and your doing it without our consent then I will be requesting a copy of the recording from HMPPS.

He looked shocked when I said that and I then said "it would have been better if you ASKED if it's OK to record the meeting before you started the recording"

I wasn't prepared to give them 'an inch let alone a foot' ( and b4 you ask, no Dylan has never heard that b4!!)

I started the meeting by saying that this meeting was at the suggestion of Mr S....(the senior) after he received a telephone from myself.

I then showed both of the officers the photos I had taken of the bruising on Zaks body and how they came about.

I also mentioned how he is being bullied and having his food and belongings taken from him.

I put my proposal to them adding that I have already informed Mr S... of them on the telephone.

Mr S asked if I have involved the Police yet?

I told them "we haven't as of yet as We wanted to speak to Probation first to see if we can sort it out with other options as I have already outlined"

The 'bitch' as Zak calls her started squirming in her seat and looked to be 'uncomfortable' with the conversation.

Mr S asked if we could give them a few minutes and both left the room.

About 15 minutes later, Mr S returned by himself.....

Mr S then said to us....

"OK I agree the hostel is not the right place for Zak. From the reports and recommendations I have received from the Police and other sources about you and the hotel and it's staff I think Zak living their and being under your guidance is the best thing for him. My conditions are....he has to live in the hotel. He must attend weekly Probation meetings and agree to undertake whatever tasks we say. And for your information, Zak will be assigned a new Officer to manage his case. Obviously it's your right to report what happened to Zak to the police and the press. But I ask that you let us handle what happened and I can assure you I WILL sort it and take the relevant actions needed so it doesn't happen to anybody else.

We stood up and we both shook hands with Mr S.

I asked if it's OK for Zak and a couple of my security staff to go to the hostel tonight to get what's left of his personal belongings?

Mr S agreed.....

We left the premises, Zak didn't say a word....

We got in the car and Zak said "thank you Jason. I won't let you down"........

Hello readers....

ZAK writing now....

I was not only happy but amazed how Jason handled Probation!!

We got back to the hotel to be met by Tony and Leo.....

Tony put his arm round me and asked if I was OK? That was so nice of him!!

He took me into the office and asked me to show him my bruises....

I lifted my shirt up and turned around.....

All I heard was "bastards" before he gave me another hug.

Jason came in with John and told me that John will take me to the hostel to pick up my things....

I heard Tony then say "not without me your not...I'm coming with you"

I saw Jason smile....he knew that Tony would say that!!!

Anyway me, John and Tony went to the hostel and picked up the very few possessions I had left.

I was suprised to still see the Manager sitting at his desk in his office....

He told me that Probation told him to stay until I have been.....

We went to my room and packed up my belongings in 4 carry bags and a box.

The 2 thugs who bullied me and whipped me came into my room acting the "big men" they thought they were.

They didn't realise that Tony and John was behind the door out of sight of them!!

I won't say much apart from that we arrived back at the hotel and Tony had blood on his tee shirt and it wasn't any of ours!! Thanks Tony!

Lovely Dylan came and saw us and told us he has saved our evening meal for us and we are to go to the dining room.

Dylan had his arm round my shoulders all the way their and he said "your safe here mate, your family now"

I felt the tears running down my cheeks....

Henry joined us and sat with us.

Leo came in and told me that he has moved my stuff to Jason's flat.

"I thought I was in the staff accommodation?" I replied....

Leo smiled...."not tonight mate, Jason wants you to be in his flat as you're had an emotional day and now you have to get to grips with reality"

ZAK still writing....

I went into Jason's spare bedroom, laid on the bed, and cried more...

My emotions were running wild....

I think the tears were 'happy' tears if you know what I mean?

I can't really describe how I felt?

Relieved? Happy? De-stressed?

I was a mess.....both physically and mentally.

I laid on the bed on my back, which was still a bit painful to do, with my hands behind my head.

I felt I was now safe...

I must have fell asleep.......

I heard talking and woke with a 'start'. I was sweating and for a few seconds I thought I was back at the hostel and it was the bullies talking.......

I realised where I was, when the bedroom door opened, giving me a terrible fright thinking it was the bullies.....to see Dylan standing their with a cappuccino in his hand.

"Morning Zak, hope you slept well, here's a cappuccino for you."

He put the coffee on the bedside cabinet telling me that the shower will be free in about 10 minutes as Jason's using it at the moment and breakfast is in about 45 minutes"

It was 05.20am!!

I heard Jason talking so I got up and went into the living room....

We heard a knock on the door and Jason told whoever it was to come in...... it was 05.30 in the morning.

It was Tony, Tom and Liam!!

They all said hi or morning to me. Then Tony told me to show Tom and Liam my back.....

I didn't have a shirt on, just a pair of shorts....

I turned round and showed them my back.....

I heard a quiet gasp....but didn't know who it came from.

Liam asked me if I was taking any painkillers?

I told him the occasional 'aspirin'

Liam told me to stop taking aspirin as aspirin can increase bleeding and worsen bruising.

He then gave me a box of Ibuprofen tablets telling me to take 2 four times a day.

Liam then told me that he will apply an ice pack to my back, wrapped in a thin towel for 20 minutes each time, twice a day.

Tom told me to come and see him in the gym at 7.00pm and he will give me a nice relaxing back massage with oils like his doing for Sean and William.

Jesus christ.....wots the matter with me....???

I started crying again!!!!!

Thanks Zak....

We all went down for breakfast and Tony introduced Zak as now a full time live in member of staff.

I didn't notice last night, but Tony had swollen knuckles on his right hand and a little cut above his eye?

Just after breakfast Zak asked if he could speak to me....

We went into the office....

Zak told me, yes he didn't ask, but told me that he can't afford to pay the £200 every lad here pays that live in, so if it's OK with me he will work 5 hours a week at the hotel for no wages!!

No fucking way Zak!!!!

I asked him if he wanted to work 10 hours a week, as he's still at college full time, and I would pay him, therfore he could then pay his board and lodgings.

His wages will therfore be £600.00 every 4 weeks. That means he has £100 every week for himself....

John asked me if we could give the student builders a treat of a nice meal and perhaps a disco or fancy dress party to thank them for all their help?

Yes, I agreed......

I told him, Friday night would be good and I will get Dylan to organise the meal and Tony the function room.

John laughted...."I might even tell them that it's a shorts and sliders party only with the first 4 drinks each free!!"

Anyway......

The student builders were in the minibuses heading for the hotel for their lunchtime meal....

At evening meal we were sitting down when Tony stood up....

He done his welcome to the staff and family speech to Zak......

Then Liam stood up....

He told us....

I heard "oh god no" come from Arlo.

Later on in the evening, Luke was working the late fitness class, so Harry was here, as usual, laying across me and Dylan having his head massage. He was dressed in his usual attire of just shorts.

Zak was still residing in the spare bedroom at the moment, but his confidence is coming back so he will soon be moving into the staff quarters.

Zak was also in the living room dressed in tee shirt and shorts.

Harry asked him if it was true that he was whipped by a belt?

He realised immediately what he said and apologised to Zak for asking such a personal question and bringing back bad memories.

Zak smiled....'it's OK Harry, what happened, happened and I can't change it. But I'm so glad I'm not their anymore as it was a frightening, evil place.

The next minute my radio crackled.

"Medical Emergency, Williams flat. Liam and Jason please respond "

Before the message ended, Harry was running out of the door.

I also ran to Williams flat, but on arrival, John, Henry, Tony and Sam were already their kneeling over William.

Liam arrived in seconds and put william in the recovery position and checked his vital signs.

He called for an ambulance, explaining the situation and the theme park accident etc....

Within minutes a paramedic arrived.

He put William on oxygen and checked his blood pressure. It was 85/49 which is considered too low and needs treatment.

The paramedic propped Williams legs up by putting them on a chair.

He also told us that "Yes, it is possible to faint a week after a concussion, although it's not a common symptom. Fainting can be a delayed symptom of a concussion, particularly if it's related to postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). POTS can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting upon standing due to a drop in blood pressure."

Within minutes William was now awake and his blood pressure was now normal at 120/70.

2 more paramedics arrived with a wheelchair.....

The 1st paramedic gave William a good examination with William saying he "doesn't want to go to hospital, I just stood up too quickly just all"

The paramedic agreed but suggested that he gets in contact with his doctors to monitor his blood pressure to be on the safe side...

William was now sitting on the sofa feeling a bit embarrassed about the situation.

After the paramedics had left and William saying he's fine, we left.

As we got back to my flat, Harry sat down and I saw the tears running down his cheeks........

Me and Harry got back to the flat and found Zak being hugged by Dylan.

Now Friday, day of the dinner/party for the student builders as a token of my appreciation for their hard work.....

At lunch time John told me that 12 of the lads have confirmed their attendance....

The lads sitting at the table smiled and said their looking forward to it......

Dylan confirmed with them that it will be a meat carvery, beef, pork and gammon with all the trimmings and confirmed that they are all meat eaters and not vegans etc.

I told the lads that "I don't want any of you to drive home if you have been drinking, so I have reserved 5 bedrooms. Unfortunately they are double bedrooms and you will have to share, but as my dear Mum used to say you can 'top and tail'. The offer is their if you can't get lift home etc"

I then told them that if they want to have a shower and get changed after the meal they can use the bedroom facilities.

The lads all thanked me.

Dylan told them that the meal will be served at 7pm sharp.....and asked that they dress up for it.

The student builders went back to the Business Centre and Tony and Jack got the function room ready for the disco...

6.10pm....

Dylan came in and told us all that the carvery is now open....

The dining room was buzzing with laughter and chatting....

The carvery was enjoyed by all....

I didn't realise at the time, I have only literally found out whilst writing this, but Harry and Liam had a money bet on which one of the builders would be first to get naked! Obviously they didn't include Max or Zak!

After the carvery everybody was told the party starts in 45 minutes....

They were also told to wear the hotel supplied dressing gowns when coming from their rooms to the function room....

They all disappeared to their rooms to get 'changed' !

Jack and Roger was behind the bar. Dressed in only shorts and sliders!!

Both staff and the builders started coming into the function....

Max and Zak arrived, took off their gowns and were in shorts and sliders....

All of the builders had now arrived and started removing their gowns...

All the lads were now their, all were in just shorts and footwear like sliders, trainers, crocs and even slippers!!!

David and Sebastian still had their dressing gowns on though and were laughing and talking to Zak and Max.

The drinks were flowing and I noticed that Jack and Roger was getting 'looks' from certain builder lads.......when serving them.

John and Henry were popular with the lads and all were talking to them.

Billy here......

I felt ashamed and embarrassed that I had let the hotel, especially Jason, down big time...

I'm not normally a violent person but when the builder lad said what he did, I just saw red!

I don't know what came over me but I just swung for him connecting with his face and knocking him to the floor.

Why was I so fucking stupid?

I got my tee shirt and left the function room....I felt so embarrassed and needed to calm down, big time.

I went to my flat and about 5 minutes later my lovely Jack came in and gave me a hug....

God I love him so much......

He made me a strong coffee and told me that "the other builders turned against that lad and told him to go. They really had a go at him and swore at him"

I felt guilty, a bit, and I knew what bedroom the lad was in.

I had to apologise to him and see if he was ok....

I went to his bedroom and knocked on the door....

I saw the lads face and felt even more guilty and ashamed!

Anyway we both apologised to each other and he said he had better apologise to Jack as well...

We both walked back to my flat and he indeed did apologise.
