"Knock knock"....."knock knock"..for fuck sake, i curse, as i grab the towel and wrap it around my waist, "hold your horses," I shout as I make my way to the front door.
"Good morning, Mr Mark Sir..sorry if I'm early" standing there wearing a baseball cap, shorts, teeshirt, jacket and a ruck sack on his back...stood Ned my newly appointed house man, i forgot how tiny he was..I forgot he was coming.
"Sorry, Ned.. I had totally forgot you were coming..well, dont just stand there. Come in.
"Look, have a seat. I'll get dry and then show you what need doing ok"
"OK Mr Mark" he replied.
"It's just Mark, you don't have to call me mister" I said.
"You are my employer, I call u Mr Mark out of respect"
"Ok" i said, and i quite liked it, it was cute.
Ned sat at the edge of the sofa looking around the room, well I'll go and dry myself ok..back in a bit.
I quickly dried off in the bedroom and got my work clothes on and returned to the lounge...
As I entered Ned stood up.."its ok u can sit, while I tell u what u need to do today"
"OK, Mr Mark"
I couldn't help but giggle.
I gave him a list.
Put washing in and hang on line
Hoover
Dust
Mop kitchen floor
Prepare salad and leave in fridge
"Is that ok" i said as I shoo Ned around and where he would find everything.
"Mr Mark, u go to work all will be good when u come home"
I got my keys out and gave Ned a back and front door key said buy and left.
I felt very anxious on the bus, as never left anyone in my place b4.
Well it was a long day and I was looking forward to getting home.
When I put the key in the door it wouldn't turn, "fuck he forgot to lock up, he's gucking gone ffs." I was muttering and cursing to myself, I opened ghe door and the first thing thst hit me was the smell of food, really good smelling food.
"Hello Mr Mark, u havd a good day at work" Ned stood there wearing his little shorts and tee-shirt.
"What r u still doing here?" i asked.
"I did your washing, dusting hoovering, then went home to sort my relative out, done some shopping and made you some Asian food, but i did salad aswell and wrapped it in fridge, u could take it to work tomorrow as it not enough for a strong man like u..you eat Neds food u like it"
Ned took my coat and lead me to the table pulling out a chair for me and left the room returning with a glass of red wine and a plate filled with some type of mixed meat and rice nan bread..the aroma was lush.
I tasted it omg my taste buds lit up the flavours "Ned this is lush, I must pay for the ingredients" I said
"no Mr Mark' i cook for my relative at home and brought it here and heated it up, I be off now Mr Mark, see you Wednesday."
"Thanks Ned" I shout as he grabbed his coat and closed door behind him.
