I can keep my smaller ones in for hours but bigger ones only minutes. It's just practice. I do enjoy getting dressed for bed, but plug in, cock cage on and stockings on. Makes me feel very sexy

I've one of the larger ones. I find it helps to be made of glass and use silicon lube.

I've used one of the metal ones, the middle size.

Has always stated in okay when used the silicone lube and hasn’t hurt.

The main thing is to keep them lubricated. If they dry out that's when you can experience pain or discomfort as you try to remove them. If you can't keep them in for long due to muscle pain then use a slimmer one and steadily build up. I found that a session with a larger dildo before insertion also helps to train the sphincter to relax.

Tie a cord around the base of the metal jewelled ones as they have a tendency to slip all the way in if in for a long time and especially if you are moving around a lot. The cord allows you to retrieve it relatively easily. Certainly better than going to A&E to fetch it out. lol.
