Had similar earlier. I had arranged to go to a guys house who lives about 12 miles away. Got there parked up. Checked my phone there was a message saying his brother had turned up but would be gone by 12.30 some 3 hours later. He asked me to wait until his brother left errr I don’t think so. I left and went back home. Tried messaging him when I got home. He had blocked me. His loss as far as I am concerned.

I have to admit, I had arrange to go this genuin gays house.

But not familar with the area and huge traffic accident blicked my way, was police ambulances, fire engines and even the air ambulance there.

The traffic was blocked everywhere

I informed him I could not make it.

I know he was upset with me

had this a few weeks back from a guy who has been before, arranged a mon nite meet, pm'd him friday to ask if still on, yes was the reply, pm'd him monday, no response, shock horror he didnt turn up, msg again asking where are you, no response, msgd him asking what happened, no reply, his status showing he had been on regularly. I wouldnt mind but my meet opportunities are very few and far between and i do stress this. I could have met another person, plus the wasted time and effort in doing make up and all the stuff us gurls have to do.

its most annoying, but you only burn your bridges once with me, so he can fuck off in future, best way to be i find in this situation. So try not to stressit, move on and block them. x

Is there a reason people don’t name and shame?

Surely admin are able to see any message trail and verify what’s being said

I've had a few no shows or late cancellation, it's disappointing but part of being on this site! Still I've had some great meets, with people who are becoming regulars!

I had arranged to accommodate mrchips this afternoon at 2.30. He gave me his telephone no for me to text details. We were in contact on here up to about 10. I went shopping and lunch, sent message I was having lunch he replied he was watching porn. I contacted both on here and by text, no response even though he was on here and received my texts. Why???

The last five meets I have arranged have been no shows. A nuisance as I can rarely make time to get out and then either be given the flimsiest reasons or just be cut dead.

Stamford (nearby)

Had my fair share. If a guy can't stick to arrangements they should just be honest and say, I will deal with my disappointment and probably give them another chance in the future... and I have experiences where this has resulted in a great meet down the line. What I can't abide is those who make arrangement, don't show or ignore when you get near their place and don't try and communicate. Sure things change, just let me know.

In my view name and shame is pointless, you will probably just drive them to set up another profile and treat the next guy with equal disrespect. I think best thing is use the report function with the no-show option, with some details of what happened or rather didn't lol! I tend to do this but only after I have given someone a fair chance to explain what went wrong: A few hours after generally, not when I am immediately pissed off, and after I have asked once or twice what went wrong and not got a response. In my experience the mods take action and at least it indicates to the person that it has been noted that their behaviour was not acceptable. Up to them how they respond to that, but at least you are doing your best to protect others from similar treatment and improving the site for everyone. For the record, I would say I only do this once or twice a year.

If I'm meeting a group, I say just come in and up the stairs . Proof you are in the right place is the door on the latch

I’ve had a couple where we’ve agreed to meet. I’ve driven to one and arrived on the street, messaged him for the house number and nothing. Another time I’ve walked to the address, I’ve been in constant contact with him and he claimed that his mate was still there and was due to leave soon. An hour later he’s still there. If they don’t want to meet why not say so instead of the pretence.

We have sinister types in the area, whose only apparent aim is to get addresses. On the strength of that I only give the post code. The street is not long, so all you have to do is say "look for the odd/even number house, with a (unique object) on the windowsill/doorstep."

Your address is only compromised if they have actually walked past the house. If they have just sat there, never intending to travel.

Sad that you have to play at being George Smiley, to have some cock fun.

I/we never travel. We’ll give our address out. If they turn up, that’s great. If they don’t, then we carry on regardless and have amazing sex by ourselves.

I think we have to accept that a certain percentage of people on here deep down don't want to meet, but have the thrill of setting a meeting up.

They may also simply be bottle merchants. Of course, we can all get caught out and have to not show up, but as everyone says, at least have the decency to say so and formally cancel, as opposed to leaving it and disappearing. To me, it's just basic manners.

Life happens, but please, if you're not going to show up - please simply say so!
