Weekend away with the boys is always a highlight of the year, good laughs, plenty of partying and generally behaving like we were young lads again.
I've always behaved on these trips, never playing away or even thinking about it to be fair. Just enjoyed the time away with mates.
One of the guys always organised the travel and accommodation, usually with no issues, this time wasn't really an issue, but he'd booked a hotel that was at the end of a street full of gay bars. Some of the boys were giving him pelters and going on a out how none of these "poofs" better try anything with them. Usually macho bullshit to be fair.
I had no issue with it, I'd never been with a guy but had been in gay bars before and always had a good, relaxed time.
First day and night passed, lots of beers and plenty of laughs until the early hours, so next morning was pretty quiet as we nursed our hangovers and prepared ourselves for the day ahead.
We set out on the town and as usually happened split into smaller groups, I always end up drifting between groups and at some point ended up on my own.
It was late on and I couldn't get hold of anyone, so I thought fuck it I'll head back to the hotel.
As I approached the street we were on, I thought I fancied another beer so went into one if the bars.
There was an act on, who was brutal to everyone coming in and out which was hilarious, so worth hanging around to watch.
As I was standing at the bar there were a group of 3 guys standing and one woman with them, they were obviously friends and were chatting away, but I noticed that a couple of the guys kept looking my way and then making comment to the group.
I thought was I that out of place that they were talking about it!
I had just ordered another beer when one of the guys, bumped into me. Apologised and laughed it off, a few minutes later and he did it again, this time holding contact a little longer. It long but noticeable.
And again a few minutes later, I was never any good at picking up.on signals but this was pretty obvious as,as he bumped me he made eye contact too.
I turned to him and as politely as possible said, "sorry I'm not your type" I'm married and straight.
He laughed and said "thats exactly my type, a challenge." |
