Letting out a deep breath I slowly nodded to myself.

“Ok Anne I’ll wait for you” I sighed down the receiver.

“Thanks Dan,I’ve got something to show you.” Anne said sounding happy.

“Do me a favour Anne, ask Jean for some more of that tea she made me” I said quickly ignoring what she said.

“Yes ok I will, is there any thing else?”she asked.

“Actually yes there is, can you bring the large black book on witchcraft from the shops book shelves and any you can find on ghosts and demons?”

“Eh yeah sure” Anne answered sounding confused.

“Ok well don’t be late ok, I’m leaving in a hour” I said feeling a wave of panic move up my spine.

“I won’t Dan, don’t go without me ok?” Anne giggled.

“I won’t, see you soon” I said before putting down the telephone.

Leaning on the brick wall of the coach house I raised my head up and watched the blue coach pull up.

Excited children stepped noisily down from its steps as the doors slid open.

Picking up my rucksack I shrugged my leather jacket back straight onto my shoulders and walked towards the open coach doors desperate to escape this village.
