Part 2787

(This part gets a bit emotional! Well it did for me...so be warned)

Harry was really concerned about John, as it's so unusual for him to get upset and nobody has ever heard of him crying before?

Harry is very protective of the others, VERY protective and if I didn't want to get on his wrong side or get one of his 'death stares' I thought I had better go and see John.

Surely it can't be to do with what I said to him? John's stronger than that!!

When Harry left, leaving me with a flea in me ear and telling me in no uncertain terms "to sort it" I went to John and Henry's flat.....

I knocked on the door and Henry answered it....

He stood at the door just looking at me, he didn't say anything, nor did he invite me in.....

I asked him if John is ok?

His reply was......

"Its a bad time at the moment Jason, he's in bed"

I then saw John, just in shorts, come out of the bedroom......

I looked at him and he had very red eyes......it was so obvious he had been crying, heavily.....

He asked me to come in.....and we sat on the sofa...

Henry went and made the cappuccinos.

I put my arm round his shoulders and asked if he was ok and did I upset him?

He put his head on my shoulder and cried....in fact he sobbed his heart out....

I felt so bloody guilty....and I mean guilty..

Henry came back with the cappuccinos, kissed John on the forehead and left the flat....

We didn't speak for a while, I just shoulder hugged him with his head buried on my shoulder.

Then he sat up and told me....

"Jason, you have given me and Henry everything...jobs, a van, a place to live, a family and self proud back. We do these extra things to repay the trust and love you have for us. We can never fully repay you for that. Hence us working extra. We do it because we WANT too do it. We want too show you our appreciation"

I hugged him tighter.....

"John, you have nothing to repay. You and Henry work hard enough as it is! You help serve us meals at breakfast and evening meals. You help the carvery on Sundays and work Monday to Friday and I know you work extra hours to finish things off. And you don't claim overtime. You don't have to prove, or show your appreciation anymore than you already do. I get it John, I really do, but I love you and Henry for who and what you are. I just want you 2 to be happy"

We hugged more and we both cried...

Hopefully that is the problem sorted but be realistic about what they do. You are right to say they work too much, all the guys do! Time off is a right not a benefit

I think what John said is probably true for all the guys. They all work hard and never claim overtime. They probably all feel they have to repay Jason. For what he has done for them. Jason need to find out if it is just John and Henry or do all the guys feel the same way

Part 2788

We sat their for a few minutes....

I told John to get dressed as I wanted to buy him a drink...

I went to the bar, waiting for John to come down.

Henry was sitting with Harry, Luke, Liam and Josh.....

As I was walking towards them I saw Harry look at me. He nodded and smiled....

I put both my hands on Henry's shoulders and told him that John will be here in a minute.

I didn't sleep that well that night.

I was thinking about what John said. I just want the staff here to be happy and do their jobs.

Breakfast.....

Poached eggs with smashed avocado & tomatoes, prepared by Sean and Liam.

I noticed that EVERY lad, with the exception of the part timers were having breakfast. That was unusual to have 99% of us all together apart from when we have a party!

Everybody was happy, chatting, laughing and all in full staff uniform.

All of them either said hello to me or tapped me on the back or shoulders....

A few of them kissed me on the head!

What's going on here?

I noticed Harry kept looking at me and the lads, smiling like a cheshire cat?

What's he done? I was wondering?

Even the lads from the 'outside businesses' were their which was a bit unusual as well.

John was back to his normal self as he was helping to serve the breakfasts!!

Aj was giving us all the daily briefing of what was happening etc etc....

I stood up and looked around the table......

Everybody went silent and looked at me.......

"Team, look around you. You are young, energetic, and the heartbeat of this hotel and associated businesses . In a fast-paced industry, you aren't just serving guests; you are creating unforgettable memories. Your smile is your superpower. Embrace the chaos, support each other, and turn everyday interactions into extraordinary moments. Everyone, thank you for being here. Looking around this room, I see incredible energy and talent. You are all in your twenties—the prime time to build, learn, and hustle. I know this job is demanding, but you are the ones who bring life into this building. We are a team. When one of us is overwhelmed, another steps in. Your ability to work together is what makes this hotel successful. Every tough shift is a lesson, and every happy guest is a win for your professional story. Take ownership of your role and show the world your potential. You are talented, you are capable, and you are ready. Let's get out there and show them what we've got! Thank you for all your hard work! And finally......never forget that I love and respect each and every one of you. This hotel and the other businesses would be nothing without you lot. You have made them a success by just being you. I can't thank you enough."

Towards the end of that speech I started getting emotional and my voice started 'cracking' I had tears in my eyes........

Harry then stood up.......

"Dad, Jason.. on behalf of all of us, we love and respect you too for the opportunity you have given us. We would be nothing without your support and love that you show us. But please....when we show our love and respect for you, embrace it with both hands and stop moaning at us for doing it"

I put my head in my hands and started crying......

I'm the luckiest boss around......

Part 2789

After that emotional breakfast, Chase came into my office and just said "thanks" and hugged me.

He was on the way to video 3 new properties with his drone and a special project for a farmer. ...

(Badboi58...Chase accepts your apology for missing him off your list!!!)

The farmer wanted a video of the entire hedgerow around his farm!! God knows why, but he's paying good money so ........

The hotel was 'buzzing'...lots of happy lads chatting, laughing and getting on with their jobs....

They say "there is always one" that spoils it......

Step forward Noah!!!!

He came to see me, telling me that later today he is interviewing 3 people for the position of 'weekend' delivery driver.

Arlo done his magic and contacted the local college advertising the position via the 'floristry' department.

He made a extra condition and altered the actual position to read "Saturday and Sunday flower delivery driver/flower arranger.

Noah then told me that this new position means that not only can WE now deliver on the weekend but WE can get orders ready as well.

It took me a couple of minutes to digest what he actually said before I realised.....

"Woa Noah....sorry....preparing as well? So your going to have this person deliver and prepare?"

Noah looked at me.....

"Yea of course, we can prepare when he's not delivering"

I stared back.....

"WE? As in your working Monday to Friday and then Saturday and Sunday as well?"

Before I could say anything else, he interrupted me.....

"Not just me Jason, me Zak and Nathan will take it in turns to work the weekend and have 2 days of in the week instead"

He then continued saying "they have all agreed to work one weekend in three with the weekend person, so no problem..."

Sometimes I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall!!!

Part 2790

Obviously the 3 of them have agreed but with no disrespect to Noah I wanted to make sure that Zak and Nathan were 'asked and not told?'.

Later on I saw Zak replacing the hotel foyer flowers. I decided this was a good opportunity to have a word with him.....

Well....he told me he was all for it and actually spoke to Noah a few months ago about it as when we had weddings on, especially on Saturdays, they worked to arrange the table decorations anyway?

Jesus...yes of course they do!!

I see them spend the day doing it and never gave it a 2nd thought!

I'm losing my grip on things since I decided to 'stand down' a bit....

The lovely Leo, their are no flys on him, trust me, overheard the conversation I had with Zak...

He came into my office and shut the door......

He never does that unless it's serious or confidential....

"Jason, I heard your conversation with Zak.....and I know you were checking to make sure that Noah discussed working weekends with them and haven't 'forced' them too. Jason, he discussed it with ME first and asked my permission!"

Well that bloody told me!!

I told him that "you are doing a marvellous job Leo, but I'm coming out of semi retirement as I'm bored and feel I'll losing my touch and not knowing whats happening"

Leo looked at me....

"Have you discussed this with Dylan? He loves and cares about you and he keep telling me how much better your health has become and how much more chilled you are. He even asked me if I could convince you to retire more!"

Oh shit!!!

Leo smiled.....

"You're not lost your touch or reality. In fact it's got better as you seem to be able to 'read' the needs of the lads better and then you act accordingly, always to the best interests of the lads. Also your more relaxed and cheerful. Your not as much as a grumpy old git that you were!"

Say it as it is Leo, why not!!!

Part 2791

Leo is a cheeky little sweep!

Harry arrived with his tea trolley and looked at me and smiled....

What's he up to now?

He walked straight into my office and started making me a cappuccino and put down a BLT sandwich for me.

"Ok Harry, I said, whats going on mate? You have that devious look on your face...."

He laughted.....

"Not me Dad, it was John's fault, he organised it!!"

"What you talking about Harry? Organised what?"

Harry looked at me.....

"John wanted the lads to show how much they respect you...so he asked them all to attend breakfast"

Just then I heard Billy at reception saying "oh yes, please sit down and I'll tell Noah your here. Would you like a drink? Tea? Coffee?"

I then heard Noah say.....

"Hello Paul, long time no see!"

Him and Paul then disappeared to the Flowery.

Harry was still in my office, now sitting down drinking a cappuccino.

What's he up too? I was now wondering...

Sebastian came in, said hello and sat down next to Harry...

"Come in and sit down Seb, why not, don't mind me mate!" I said.

He laughted....

"Yea sorry Jason, but John hasn't any work I can do at the moment due to my injury and he told me to tell you that"

Billy knocked on the door, even though it was wide open, asking if I had time to speak to Noah and the prospective staff candidate?

Harry and Sebastian got up and left!

5 minutes later....

Noah and this lad Paul arrived and Noah introduced him to me....

Apparently him and Paul started a Floristry course together but Paul had too leave the course early, without qualifying due to family problems.....

He restarted the course later and passed.

Part 2792

Paul is still studying 'advanced' floristry 3 days of the week at college and would like a weekend day job to subsidise this.

He drives and has a old ford fiesta. He lives fairly local as well.

He's 25 and been driving since he was 17 and has passed the 'Pass Plus' which is a voluntary 6-hour training course developed by the DVSA for new drivers. It covers driving in different conditions (town, night, all-weather, rural, motorways) and also the IAM RoadSmart, which is a higher-level course that focuses on advanced skills, including increased observation and planning, often using police system techniques (Roadcraft). It involves a series of observed drives and leads to a formal advanced driving test.

So he can drive safety and not like a maniac.... good as he will be driving the sign written Flowery van.

Apparently Noah has already interviewed the other 2...well saying that, one didn't turn up and the other was, as Noah says..."a waste of space"!!

Paul was very knowledgeable about flowers and arrangements and likes the idea of being able to arrange flowers as well as deliver them to the customers.

Paul was also well chuffed that he gets to use the gym, be invited to have meals on the Saturday and Sunday and attend the staff parties!!

What the hell has Noah said to him about the staff parties?

Noah laughted and told me that Paul loves a good party but he doesn't drink alcohol at all.......

Paul has given me consent to mention here that he doesn't drink as his dad was an alcoholic before he died from Liver Disease. Hence the reason he had to leave college last year.

So he's sensible at parties then as he doesn't drink?......

Noah and Paul both laughted.....

Paul then said......

"Doesn't stop me dancing naked on the table though if I have too many red bulls!!

Mmmnnnnnn

Part 2793

Mmmnnnnn

I wonder why Paul said that?

Noah ended the interview by telling Paul that he will make a decision and phone him tomorrow.

Gerry phoned...

Finlay and Hugh has sold another 3 cars!

Chase phoned....

His on the way back as he has finished all the jobs in double quick time....

All clients paid the deposit and he will sort out and edit the footage tonight!

Barbaby and Logan returned from an event looking happy...

They have been invited to put on another shoot next month by the same company!

Its all looking good at the moment.

Evening meal ........

Mango chutney chicken curry.

All prepared by Sean and Alex...

Very nice indeed!!!

Sebastian still had to have his food cut up for him but tonight's meal he managed by himself... he's really embarrassed about people cutting his food up for him.

The table was brim full again... most of the lads were eating....

They were happy, chatting and laughing....

Tony gave his evening well done speech.....

Then Aiden stood up and raised his glass saying "stand and raise your glasses for a toast please"

We all stood....

"Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. So to the best lads around, you lot, the ones I call my friends"

Part 2794

Later that evening John and Henry visited me in my flat....

Dylan made us all cappuccinos.

John sat next to me on the sofa and I noticed that Henry sat on the other sofa with Dylan.

Perhaps them two have had an argument or not getting on too well now?

They didn't speak, just sat drinking their cappuccinos, but I noticed that they were looking at each other.

I saw John's eye become 'wet' and he wiped them with the back of his hand.

What's going on?

John hasn't been himself this week and was tearful etc.....

I put my arm round his shoulders and pulled him in close asking him what the matter was?

He burst into tears!!!

Henry jumped up and knelt in front of him putting his hands on John's knees telling him "it's ok John"

John kissed Henry on the head telling him that he loved him...

It then came to light that tomorrow is the anniversary of John's parents death.....they both died in a car accident.

I never knew that and nobody else knows either, apart from Henry.

Henry told us that John isn't normally this emotional, but he saw how Harry reacted when the WI lady, Madge, who brought him the Teddy when he was in hospital fighting for his life, husband told him she had died and gave him the last teddy she ever made.

Now I understand a bit better.

I told John he needs to take tomorrow off and chill and relax.

Henry told him that they will visit the cemetery tomorrow morning, as normal.

John, being John, said he will go AFTER work tomorrow as they are a bit behind with the building schedule, now Sebastian is only one handed and on light duties.

I hugged him tighter and told him "sod the schedule John, your off tomorrow, full stop, end of conversation!"

Next morning....

Breakfast called.....

Breakfast Casserole... filled with eggs, cheese, potatoes, and vegetables.

Looked and tasted great!!

Well done Liam!!

Noah told me that he has offered Paul the job as weekend Arranger/delivery driver and he had accepted the position and starts this weekend.

His coming in later this afternoon to have a chat and induction etc. And also to use the gym!

Noah invited him to stay for evening meal so he can Introduce him to the others.

Aj then told me that the concrete lorry has arrived and John is dealing with it.......

John?

I went to the new build and their was John, Henry, Adam and Sebastian all in their workwear.

John was directing where the concrete should be poured.....

Yes....John was working.

He saw me and waved.....

Later on Paul, the new lad starting at the Flowery arrived.....

He sat down in reception and Aj called Noah.

Harry was doing his afternoon tea trolley run when he saw Noah and Paul sitting on the sofas...

Noah introduced Paul to him and of course lovely Harry offered him a sandwich and a hot drink...

Now.....

Their is an unwritten rule at the hotel.....and that is.....

If Harry offers you something to eat, you bloody well accept it!!

Paul made the bad mistake of saying "I'm ok thanks" and didn't want anything!!

Noah realised the mistake immediately and told Harry that "Paul is just being polite and of course, if its ok he would like a sandwich"

I saw Noah kick Paul's leg under the table!!

In the end I heard Paul, ask what sandwiches he has..... when Harry said cheese or cheese and ham, Paul opted for the cheese and ham and a cup of coffee!!

Part 2797

Later on I was doing my afternoon gym session, under the watchful eye of William who was putting me through my paces, when Noah and Paul came into the gym....

They were in their gym gear and went on the running machines...

Paul has what I call 'football' legs.... nice thick calves and a bit bandy...

They then hit the cardio machines big time....

Paul is very physically fit as well as being 'fit' if you know what I mean.

I finished my session, had a shower and was getting dressed in the changing room when Noah and Paul walked in

Both were shirtless and sweating buckets...they had a very intense workout by the looks of it.

They both said hello and both stripped and hit the showers.

I noticed, not that I was looking of course, (!!) That Paul was quite hairy....apart from his cock, balls and arse that was shaved smooth!

He really needed a trim on his chest, legs and back in all honestly as it looked a bit funny.....

I left them to it....

Evening meal called......

Harry was in charge....

Beef stew with vegetable mash!!

Looked and tasted really good and very filling.

Tony done his evening speech and introduced Paul to the lads.

Harry said that Friday is party night!

"Sequins & spuds" is the theme!

He wants everybody dressed in either sparkly wear or sequins and the food will be baked potatoes!

Also there will be a casino table of roulette and cards, the pool table, the dart board and a movie.

Anything that the casino banker wins will be donated to Arlo's charity so bring lots of money to gamble!

And the bar will be free (Harry's paying for the drinks for the whole night) for everybody who goes to the bar naked!!

Everybody laughted saying they might as well remain naked for the night!

Harry told them that the only time they are to be naked is when getting their drink....all other times they must be in their theme dress.

Paul looked around the table at the lads....

Noah told him that the staff party's normally end up with everybody naked anyway!

Aiden then asked Paul if he was 'cool' with what Harry said?

Paul smiled and replied...

"yea I'm fine with all that, but seems a little 'lightweight' considering what Noah and Zak told me about the parties and wot happens at them!"

Everybody looked at him....

Part 2798

Paul seemed happy about what was said and of course Aiden decided, like the little bugger he is, to explore a bit more about Paul.

Paul answered all their questions including saying about his alcoholic dad being the reason he doesn't drink alcohol at all.....

Harry told Aiden to 'shut up now Aiden, you're interrogated him enough!"

The lads then remembered that Harry's parents had a 'problem' with drink and this obviously hit a nerve with him....

Aiden shut up immediately and apologised to Paul for his interrogation of him. He then mouthed the word "sorry" to Harry.

Paul smiled and told everybody that he is an "open book" and doesn't mind talking about himself or his life......

Aj...he's a big shit, laughted and asked Paul.......

"So are you straight? Bisexual or gay?"

Paul looked at Aj with a stare very much like Harry's death stares!!

The table went quiet.... very quiet.

"Thats for me to know and for the 3 lads sitting around this table who could turn me bisexual."

A loud cheer went up and of course everyone wanted to know who the 3 lads were!

Paul didn't give away any clues other than saying "this is the first time I have met some of you and I can't even remember all your names, so I'm going on looks and physiques!"

Aiden stood up and removed his shirt and starting 'flexing' !!!

Within seconds 16 of the lads were now shirtless flexing their bodies!!

Wolf whistles and cheers were now being heard!!

Noah was sitting next to Paul and I was sitting the other side of him..

Noah caught my eye and nodded looking down at Paul's waist....

Of course my eyes followed Noah's eyes and.....

Bloody hell!!!

Paul's erection was clearly bulging through his trousers!

Noah smiled and licked his lips!!!

He then whispered something in Dean's ear....whatever it was made Dean smile!!!

Part 2799

Later on in the evening I was in my flat with Dylan, when we heard a knock on the door....

It was Noah, Dean and Paul...

Noah and Dean were in just shorts and sliders.....

Paul's a very quick learner as he was also dressed in just shorts and trainers!!

Noah asked Dylan if he could give his opinion on something and also some advice?

I stood up to go when Noah told me that "no Jason, this is your home, please don't feel you have to leave on our account"

I asked who wants a cappuccino and when everybody (serves me right for asking!) said "yes" I went into the kitchen and turned the cappuccino machine on....

I could hear the conversation going on in the living room....

It was Paul talking.....

"Noah and Dean tell me that you are the 'barber'when it comes to manscaping? I was wondering if you could give me some advice please? These 2 think I have it all wrong as such?"

Now...I saw Paul going into the showers after his gym session and yes, he definitely needs a trim !!!

Dylan made a comment that his chest, back and legs are a bit hairy and could do with a trim....

Dylan laughted and said.....

"If your cock, balls and arse is as hairy then yes you definitely need to sort it out!!"

Dean smiled....

"Thats the trouble!! Their shaved smooth!"

I smiled to myself and then realised how did he know that? It was only Noah and Paul that hit the showers as Dean was at the Business Centre?

I then remembered that Noah knew Paul from the college....

Part 2800 (Wow!!!)

I went back carrying a tray full of cappuccinos, nearly dropping the lot as I noticed Paul was now bollock naked showing Dylan his body!

The next minute Dylan gets out his massage table and tells Paul to lay on it on his front...

Dylan trims Paul's back and legs to a NO.1 cut.

He turns over and as Dylan was shaving his shoulders and chest Paul's cock decides to 'show off'!!

Dylan shaved Paul's legs and his cock was now at half mast!!

Jesus, Paul is a big lad! And that was only at half mast!

Dylan finished the shaving and told him to have a shower.

As he was in the shower I asked Noah and Dean if anything was "going on" between them 3?

Noah blushed, as did Dean......

They eventually told us that Noah and Paul have "played around" in the past but nothing too serious....

They both admitted that Paul is a nice lad and if the opportunity came up for a 3sum, they wouldn't say no.

Paul came out of the bathroom in just his shorts thanking Dylan as he "feels better now and in proportion with his smoothness"

Noah invited Paul to stay the night if he wanted too.......

Paul thanked him but said "no as I have to get home as I have college in the morning and need to get my things ready..."

The 3 of them left and me and Dylan looked at each other and smiled.

I knew by the look on Dylans face exactly what he now wanted!!!

I locked the flat door, took his hand and led him to our bedroom...

I stripped him, laid him on the bed and stripped myself.

He was already rock hard........

I wasted no time in not only grabbing his cock but sucking it also.....

Part 2801

Roll on a couple of days....its the day of the W.I lady, Madges funeral.

It was arranged with Madges husband that Harry, representing the lunch club chefs, Arlo representing the charity that the WI ladies contributed to over the years and myself, attend the funeral service.

Harry was asked if he wanted to do a 'eulogy' at the service.

I was suprised when Harry agreed to that, as he is, as you all know, a very emotional lad......

Harry insisted on us wearing our staff uniforms including him in his full chefs kit including his tall, white, pleated chefs hat!!

I told him that was not appropriate dress for a funeral and that he should be dressed in a dark suit.

I got one of his 'death stares' and it was obvious he was already emotional and upset.

We arrived at the church is our uniforms including Harry in his chef whites.

The church was 26 miles away and what a beautiful church it was.

We got their to a packed car park and over 80 members of the W.I.

I'm not exaggerating when I say practically every member of the W.I gave Harry a hug.....

Madges husband insisted we sat at the front.....

The casket was brought in with the pallbearers.

Harry wobbled a bit and me and Arlo had to hold him up for a few seconds.

Harry refused to take his hat off!!

I was bloody annoyed and thought that was disrespectful.....

The service began.....

Harry was called to give his eulogy.

He was shaking as he stood up, but he went to the lectern.....

He faced the congregation.....

I saw the tears in his eyes.....

From his jacket he pulled out the original 'teddy' that was given to him by Madge and the W.I when he was fighting for his life in hospital, and sat him on the lectern.

We heard the W.I ladies 'sigh'...

Harry took a big deep breath.....

"My names Harry and it was my privilege to cook and serve the W.I at their monthly meetings. The teddy here was what Madge made me when I was in hospital. She came to see me practically everyday after her shift at the W.I shop and even though I was in an induced coma, she spoke to me and read to me. She encouraged me not to give up and fight for my survival. For that Madge I thank you from the bottom of my heart. These lovely ladies raised over £12,000 for a charity close to my heart and Arlo, who works at the hotel as well, set up the charity in the name of his late twin brother, is here as well. I'm never ever seen without my chefs hat or beanie hat on due to the scarring on my head, as I'm extremely self-conscious of it. BUT...... there is a saying "I'll take my hat off to you" which is an idiom used to express high admiration, respect, or congratulations for someone's accomplishments or skills".. and you Madge deserve to be the first person I have ever taked my hat off too. So thank you Madge"

Harry then took his chef's hat off! He put it in his pocket along with the teddy....

As he was walking back to us in the pews, the W.I ladies stood up and clapped Harry......

I thought Harry was the emotional one, but it was me that burst into tears.... I WAS SO, SO PROUD OF HIM....

Part 2802

I was so proud of Harry....

Madges husband invited us back for the wake being held at his local pub...

Harry gave him a hug and told him he would rather not come as he feels very emotional and didn't want to spoil it for the others.....

We got back in the car and Arlo sat in the back with Harry. He put his arm round him and it was then that Harry's emotions got the best of him and he burst into floods of tears.

We all sat for a while before driving off......

Harry managed to compose himself and told us that Madge was the main instigator of getting the chefs naked under their aprons!!

She also managed to slap their naked bums as well!!

I suggested we stop at McDonald's on the way home, but for the first time ever, Harry asked if we could just go home.......

We got back to the hotel and found Luke standing in reception waiting for Harry.....

Leo must have 'tracked' the car on our 'tracker system'

Harry hugged Luke and they went to their flat.....

Aj and Billy told me that is the first time they have even seen Harry without a hat on.......

I told them what Harry said for his eulogy.....

Both of them had tears in their eyes on hearing what he said....

Later on I went up to Harry's flat and found Luke sitting on the sofa with Harry laying across his lap, like he does with me, asleep.

Luke was massaging Harry's head....

Later still, Evening meal was called and Luke and Harry came down and sat at the table......

The table was deadly silent as everybody looked at a hatless Harry.

I can't remember Harry ever sitting at the table hatless after his operation?

Tony stood up to give his normal evening 'well done' speech, when tonight he didn't say anything at first,... he walked over to Harry and hugged him.......

He then simply said to Harry.......

"Harry, we love you and know it's been an emotional day for you. We also appreciate that Words, no matter how kind, can’t mend your heartache. However, your hotel family care for you and wish you comfort and peace."

The rest of the lads stood up and raised their glasses of water and simply said......"to Madge"

Harry stood up and raised his glass.

He then put his beanie hat back on.

Part 2803

Saturday morning.....

06.15am......

Breakfast called and in walks Paul with Noah and Dean!!

Paul's nearly 3 hours early for his first day at the Flowery as the weekend delivery driver.

He didn't stay the night though as it was arranged for him to join Noah and Dean in their normal Saturday morning gym workout, before he starts work at 09.00am.....

Mushroom hash with poached eggs cooked by Pat....

Harry was on good form today, he was a lot happier, wearing his beanie hat and appraising Pats breakfast.

He didn't mince his words when he said loudly so everyone heard....

"I don't like this Pat"

Everyone went quiet, they looked stunned at what he said and Pat went bright red in the face.....

I was shocked at Harry!!

Harry then smiled and said.....

"No Pat I don't like it, I love it!"

He then laughted....little sod!

Luke punched Harry on the arm telling him that, "that wasn't funny H, stop it mate!"

Harry apologised to Pat saying it was just a joke....

Was it 'harry-itus'?

As Noah, Dean and Paul were showering after their gym workout, Leo gave Paul his new uniform..cargo trousers, apron, polo shirt and outdoor jacket all printed with the Flowerys name and logo.

He came out into reception looking rather smart!!

I then saw Zak come into reception in his Flowery uniform?

I must have looked confused as I thought the lads were taking it in turns to work the weekend?

Zak must have noticed and told me that Noah is going in the van with Paul today as its his first day, and the hotel flowers need replacing.

Fair comnent....

Hugh, Finlay and Gerry and doing a marvellous job at the car sales site.

Last month they sold just over £75,000 worth of cars and small vans!!

The Business Centre turned over £60,000 in office rentals and the telephone and mail handling.

The Flowery turned over £20,000

The cake making turned over £5,000.

The storage centre turned over £23,000

The drone business over £6,000

The laser clay shooting over £9,000

Just under £200,000 for the month

JESUS BLOODY WEPT!!!!

Joe was in my office talking me through the individual businesses turnover and expenses etc...

He called me "the man with the midas touch".......

No Joe.....I'm not !!

It's the lads running the companies that made them successful not me!!

And them figures do not include the hotel and it's functions!!!

I need an idea to reward the lads for their hard work!!!

I was a very happy bunny!!

Harry came round with his tea trolley which included a slice of a Red velvet cake which he made. It was a crimson-colored sponge, cocoa flavor, with a distinct tangy taste from the buttermilk and vinegar with a cream cheese frosting!!

It was delicious!!

Noah and Paul came back from the flower deliveries.....

Paul was happy with the deliveries and thought it was a great first day!

They were now heading towards the Flowery to help Zak, when I called Noah into the office...

I told him that the Flowery turned over just over £20,000 last month.

He said he knew!!

And then he told me exactly what the costs and expenses like wages, fuel etc etc were and told me the exact actual profit we made!!

5.00pm

Then gym for some, massage for others and 2 wanting spray tans!

6.30pm

Evening meal

7.30pm

Free time in bar

Easy £1,125 turnover plus drinks bill.

Later on that evening I was relaxing in my flat when Noah, Dean and Paul came in....

They were all dressed in just shorts and sliders including Paul....

Noah gave me an update on how today was, with it being Paul's first day. He also asked if Paul could stay the night as he's working tomorrow.

Then......

My radio crackled.....

An emergency button had been activated asking for urgent assistance in the bar.....

Over the radio I could hear shouting, swearing and what sounded like glass being smashed.

I flew down to the bar and what I saw shocked me to the core....it was carnage.

The stag lads were fighting not only themselves but my staff as well!!

Tony was separating 2 lads, John had 2 lads pinned on the floor, Aj and Billy was in-between 4 lads, Merv was punching the hell out of 2 lads. He had a cut eye and a bloody nose.

Liam and Ian was trying to calm the other lads down.....

Barnaby and Zak was protecting Harry who was on the floor with a bloody nose......

I stood at the doorway for about 5 seconds and SHOUTED as loud as I could "ENOUGH!"

For some strange reason everybody stopped fighting and stared at me!!

Apart from one of the stags older lads, must have been in his late 30's, who aimed a punch at my face!

I ducked out of the way and, god help me, I unleashed a volley of punches into his head, his chest and his stomach.

He fell onto the floor and I shouted "get up and attack me again and I'll put you in hospital you CU*T"

I moved quickly to the 2 lads who were by Merv and grabbed both of them by the collars and pulled them towards me.....I nutted the pair of them and dropped them.

My blood was boiling and then the gym lads arrived! Late as bloody normal...Tom, William, Connor, Troy and Luke.

Why was the gym lads late?

Do they have radios?

Maybe need to have PA button at the bar, reception & gym which are connected to the alarm panel at reception, as well as radios, who ever is on reception can direct staff over radio to the location.

Maybe get staff on a SIA door staff course as well or get an SIA accredited company to run a course at hotel n ask if any staff want to go on it.

Part 2806

I was fuming....

The gym lads rushed in and they managed to get all the stag lads sitting down in a corner....

I asked Jack and Roger what happened.......

One of the stag lads was a bit upset by one of them not buying a round of drinks and it ended up with a bit of pushing and 'handbags at dawn'

Jack told them to pack it up when one of the lads leaned over and grabbed Jack by the tie and tried pulling him towards him....

Harry was at the bar and grabbed this lads arm telling him to "let go"

The other lad elbowed Harry in the face knocking him on the floor.

The other stag lads then started fighting....

Glasses were then smashed and thats when Tony, John, Aj, Billy, Merv, Liam and Ian got involved.

Barnaby and Zak were looking after Harry who was bleeding from the nose and lip.

The stag lads were full of apologies and felt really bad....

They asked if they could pick up the broken glass and the upturned chairs and tables.

The next minute 7 police officers came charging into the bar!!

They saw Merv and Harry bleeding, both now sitting at a table being attended too by Liam.

The stag lads were actually sweeping up the broken glass and picking up the table and chairs.

The police sergeant asked if everything was ok, as they were told their is a massive fight happening?

Neither Merv or Harry wanted to press charges. I told them that it is unacceptable that they were attacked and I would support them if they wanted to press charges?

The stag lads offered to pay for any damage and all apologised to us especially to Merv and Harry. Everybody ended up shaking hands.

It was decided that the police see the stag lads off the premises and into their cars and taxis....

(I was told the next day that one of the stag lads who decided to drive home was stopped about a mile from the hotel and he failed the breathalyser!)

The stag lads left £200 to pay for the damage....which was only about £35 in all honestly....a few broken pint glasses and a table leg which Henry screwed back within a couple of minutes.

John then told everybody that tomorrow morning at 09.00am he will hold a 'self defence' class in the function room for anybody thats interested?

As you know John is a black belt at jiu-jitsu.

He told them to wear shorts.

He asked Tom if he could borrow the floor mats from the Gym and the Pilates classes.

Not sure I agree with Harry and Merv not pressing charges tbh?

And well done John for putting your Martial Arts skills to use in helping the others defend themselves.

It totally unacceptable that hospitality staff are being attacked at their place of work

Part 2807

Next morning.....

(I've just had a bollocking off Noah for not mentioning that him, Dean and Paul DID attend the bar fight but they had to go back to their flat first to get dressed! Plus they didn't realise how serious it was!)

Harry had a black eye and a split lip....

Merv had 2 black eyes and a split lip....

At breakfast, Billy gave the morning talk and told everybody that if they wanted to attend John's self defence course at 09.00am then they could join in.

08.50am...

I went to the function room in my gym kit and to my suprise their was 32 of the lads their in their gym kits!

Being a Sunday, it's carvery day so it's a not such a busy day to be honest, so the chefs attended as well.

John showed us the 5 basic techniques that we need to know.

They are:-

Deter, Detect, Delay, Deny, and Defend.

Elbow/Forearm Protection): Use your forearms against an opponent’s neck or hips to create space and prevent them from crushing you, especially in side control.

Shrimping (Hip Escape): The most fundamental movement for escaping positions like side control and mount. It involves lifting your hips and pushing them away to create space.

Bridge and Roll (Trap and Roll): Used to escape the mount position. Trap one of the opponent’s arms, trap their same-side leg with your own, and bridge your hips up to roll them over.

Knee Shield (Half Guard): If your leg is trapped in half guard, place your knee across the opponent's chest to prevent them from advancing to side control.

Guard Recovery: When in a bad position, use frames and shrimping to maneuver your legs back in front of the opponent to re-establish a closed or open guard.

Grip Fighting/Breaks: Do not let the opponent control your head or collar. Strip their grips on your clothing or wrists immediately to prevent submission setups.

It was very intense and difficult to actually put in writing on here.

But we all learnt how to defend ourselves against attack

Most of us ended up shirtless due to us sweating....John really put us through our paces.

We ended up in pairs with one attacking and one defending..

Using the techniques that John showed us we got to grips with how to defend ourselves and put the attacker in certain "holds" to prevent them from attacking more and restraining them

It really was good and an eye opener.

We all felt more able to defend ourselves afterwards.

Most of the lads asked John if this could be a regular Sunday morning training session.

I agreed myself to attend as did Dylan!

Part 2808

The lads who didn't live in all hit the gym showers....

Paul and Noah started work in the Flowery.... Noah making up bouquets and Paul delivering them.

Harry and Liam started getting the Sunday carvery prepared....

The carvery was fully booked including the tables in the Orangery.

We have 480 diners booked!!!

A record for the day....

Mary, Chantell and John are going to be very busy!! In fact even Henry is helping today.

Houston...we have a problem!!

We have a MASSIVE wedding next Saturday.... the full works...and 175 people at the evening meal!

This package that Arlo arranged is worth literally £,000's of pounds and I mean thousands!! Well into double figures!!

Leo done some 'due diligence' that he always does before a big function and on the brides social media account he spotted the groom. The wedding was organised and paid for by the brides parents.

He called me to reception and showed me the pictures of the happy engaged couple with their parents.....

The groom was the 'stag' from last night's fight in the bar!!

This stag do was organised and paid for by the 'best man' and not once did they mention that the stag was the groom getting married here on Saturday next!

No wonder they were keen to apologise and clean up the mess of the broken glasses and the up-turned tables and chairs!! And left the £200.

SHIT!!!

Do I cancel the function and refund the £17,500?

I called a meeting with me, Leo, Billy, Arlo and Dylan to discuss what we should do.....

Everything was booked, the cars, the cake, the flowers, the extra waiters the band, the registrars, everything.....

Food and wine and drinks were purchased as well....

After a discussion it was agreed that I contact the best man and tell him we know about the wedding next Saturday.

We had the best man's details on the stag do booking form and I managed to speak to him by phone.

I explained I wasn't happy and I feel that we are going to need more security for the event and I will have to contact the brides parents asking them to contribute towards the extra security needed.

I didn't manage to say anything else as he pleaded with me not to tell the brides parents and offered me £500 there and then!!

I ended up taking a credit card payment from him!!

We now have 4 S.I.A registered security bouncers working from 6pm to 01.00am. Cost £560....

Thank you Sam.....he knows a few ex coppers that are now in the private security field that are S.I.A licensed.

Part 2809

Harry and Liam have called in Merv, Pat and stuart to help out with the carvery today due to the huge number dining. Just under 500!

Harry decided to have 2 serving points....

Him and Pat and Liam and Merv with Stuart ensuring the vegetables, giant Yorkshire etc etc are topped up.

Every oven and hob are in use!

Even Dylan is in the kitchen ensuring the 3 meats are cooking and the veggie and that are on the stoves.

I must say I wouldn't have put Merv or Harry on the servery due to Harry having a black eye and a split lip and Merv having 2 black eyes and 2 split lips!

But both wanted to do it and Dylan agreed with them.....

Liam done a miracle on their eyes with some concealer and high-coverage foundation!!

To be fair they didn't look like they had black eyes, more like just 'tired' eyes.

Mary, Chantell, John and Henry were extremely busy setting tables and meeting and greeting and getting the diners drinks.

Both the dining area and the Orangery were buzzing!! Soft background music and people with family laughing and joking.

Paul was busy....he had 22 deliveries to do and Noah had started getting tomorrow's deliveries arranged.

Barnaby and Logan were doing another laser clay shoot... this time for 12 people... including hot drinks and snacks.....but no sit down meal.

They have another shoot on a companies premises tomorrow and need to leave very early in the morning so both of them are staying in my flat tonight.

This wasn't their choice, it was Harry's !!

Harry told them that their not going anywhere in the morning without a breakfast in "their bellys" and TOLD them that they might as well stay the night in my flat....the bugger didn't ask me if it was ok and if they could!!

Harry, Harry bloody Webber!

Part 2810

Jesus wept!!

The carvery was really, really busy and it wasn't only the food going down well but the drinks as well!!

Thank god Henry was helping out clearing the tables etc and Harry opened up a 2nd serving station!

Even the gym was busy!

The reception lads were doing well meeting and greeting guests and thanks to Ian doing a marvellous job in showing the diners the way to the carvery....

I think this is the busiest Sunday we have ever had?

I then noticed that Adam and Sebastian came into reception in their day workgear.....

The buggers had been working on the new flats!

Sebastian's wrist and hand was a lot better and he can manage to now paint with it!

I asked them what they were doing as its a Sunday?

Sebastian told me that the builder schedule is way behind due to his accident and they are trying to make up the time!!

I looked in the 'overtime' book and the page was empty!!!

So that's Henry, Adam and Sebastian that I know was working overtime!!

I'm banging my head against the fucking wall...again!!

I went outside to the shooting range and heard a lot of laughter and cheering.... these guests were enjoying it, by the sounds of it!

Logan saw me and asked if it was "ok for me to stay tonight, as Harry didn't really ask you did he? He kind of told us? Its not a problem, I can go home?"

I looked at him, smiled.....

"If you fancy telling Harry that, then go ahead Logan! But make sure you're wearing body armour and a crash helmet!"

Barnaby came over and asked if everything is ok?

When Logan told him what he just said to me, Barnaby started shaking his head saying..."oh god. Logan your staying the night mate! Harry will bloody check and I'm not getting on the wrong side of him!"

We all laughted!!!

Part 2811

The carvery and bar extremely busy.

When the carvery finished, Billy done the readings on the computer to find we took £4,800 on food and £2,275 on the bar...total £7,075.00!

Not bad for one day!!

Mary and Chantell got £960.00 in tips between them!! But by god they worked hard for it......

They gave John and Henry £100.00 each for their help.

The kitchen lads were knackered especially Harry who was technically in charge of both serving areas and the lads and the meats etc.....

Dylan was making sure that they never run out of meat and the veggies including the giant Yorkshires.

A sterling effort by all...

When Billy was doing his totalling up and ensuring the money was correct etc I treated all the lads and Mary and Chantell to a drink from the bar.

They were all sweating and tired.

Hugh and Finlay came into the bar, apparently they had been working in the car sales?

They decided with Gerry that they need to be open on a Sunday and to prove the point they sold 2 cars today bringing in £9,550.00 !

Dylan told all the kitchen lads to finish for the day.

Evening meal called....

Typical of Harry and John to totally ignore instructions and turned up to help Dylan!!!

On a Sunday our evening meal is obviously a carvery.

Dylan was slicing the meat and Harry was making sure the gravy was stirred and piping hot and John was helping him with the vegetables.

A lot of staff were dining tonight.

Barnaby and Logan came up to be served and Logan made a comment about him only having the veggies as he was a vegetarian!!

Harry nearly shit himself as he didn't realise that he was a vegetarian in the first place and apologised to him and that he will make him some smoky bean & cheese quesadillas, which will take about 30 minutes to prepare.

Logan realised that his 'wind up' on Harry probably wasn't the best thing to do to him and laughted telling Harry he was only joking!

I saw Harry get, as he calls them, 'wet eyes' and he disappeared into the kitchen......

Logan felt bad now, really bad about this and a few of the lads started tutting and saying "wrong thing to say and do to Harry mate"

Logan immediately went into the kitchen and apologised to Harry and gave him a huge hug.

Apparently Harry was crying as he realised that he never asked Logan if he had any 'dietary' needs in the first place.

Part 2812.

I went into the kitchen and found Harry sitting on a chair wiping his eyes......

Harry felt bad as he knows everyone's dietary needs, but realised that he never asked Logan if he had any!!

I gave him a hug....

As we were finishing eating and just chatting, Logan stood up and banged his glass with his knife.....

We all went quiet and looked at him.

"Harry, I apologise for saying what I said about being a vegetarian. It was a joke but I realise it was in bad taste"

Harry nodded and thanked him.

Later on I was in my flat with Dylan, Barnaby and Logan relaxing when a knock on the door and Harry walks in......

Harry asked them what time their leaving in the morning?

When told it will have to be about 06.15am and suggested it would be easier if they made themselves some sandwiches tonight to take with them in the morning...... I saw Harry start hopping from foot to foot!!

Oh fuck!!!

World War 3 is about to start....

I saw Harry open his mouth to say something when something strange happened....he closed his mouth without saying anything and I saw his eyes look to the right like he was thinking?

He then said......

"In that case I will get up a bit earlier and cook your breakfast for 5.30 in the morning......so I'll see you 2 in the dining room at 5.30 for a full English breakfast"

He then said ...."good that's sorted now, see you at 5.30"

We heard him then say "goodnight" and left my flat!!!

Well....look like Harry actually, for once, engaged his brain before speaking....

Does this mean no more 'harry-itus'?

Part 2813

Next morning...

04.45am

I was up and showered, couldn't really sleep and had a restless night to be honest, and was sitting on the sofa drinking a cappuccino.

The next minute Logan comes out of one of the spare bedrooms, in just boxers, asking if he could have a shower....

Of course he could.

After a couple of minutes Logan stuck his head out of the bathroom door and asked how he operates this fangled shower!!

I laughted and went to help him...

As I got in the bathroom he was standing their wet and naked!

I told him to hop back in the shower and told him how to work the 8 jets, the pressure of the jets and the temperature....

I must confess with the amount of knobs, switches and dials the shower unit has, it is a bit daunting.

I went back into the living room to be handed another cappuccino by Barnaby, also dressed in just boxers.

We sat down on the sofa as he was waiting to use the shower as well.

Barnaby and Logan have an hour drive each way, a 5 hour shoot and with set up and dismantle it will be about a 9/10 hour day.

Logan came out of the shower wrapped in just a towel..

He made a comment on how refreshing my shower was with the jets hitting every part of his body. So relaxing amd certainly woke him up!

I went and made him a cappuccino, expecting him to get dressed, but when I got back he was sitting on the sofa still naked apart from a towel wrapped round his waist!!

05.25am

Me, Barnaby and Logan went down to the dining room to find Harry in the kitchen making a full English full breakfast.

Merv and Pat arrived to prepare the others breakfast.

I sat Barnaby and Logan down just as Harry brought out their breakfasts.

I went to reception to relieve Simon but found Aj already their taking the keys and handover log from him.

Simon then took his plate, knife and fork back to the kitchen...

As he returned he was smiling and laughing...

"Every night Harry leaves me a meal all wrapped up with a message on how to heat it up! Every Sunday it's a carvery and every time he leaves me a message on how to heat it...I must have over 200 messages saying the same thing!"

I laughted and felt a lump in my throat when Simon said.....

"Every time I'm on duty Harry leaves me a full meal to eat during the night, without fail...God i love him to death..he really cares"

Part 2814

Chase has another 3 drone flying events today, mostly local..

His getting busier and busier now which is good.

Harry and Liam are doing the 'posh' afternoon teas and again it's fully booked.

Harry thinks we should extend them from 3 to 5 afternoons a week.

He can't do no more work than what's he's doing already!!

I called a meeting with Dylan and Leo to discuss this and voiced my feelings on how busy Harry and Liam are already with the afternoon teas, Monday to Wednesday, their cake making and the Sunday carvery.

Dylan wanted to extend the 'posh' afternoon teas and Leo said it certainly was a good money earner.

Dylan proposed letting Harry and Liam do the posh afternoon teas Monday to Friday, the cakes and the Sunday carvery but nothing else. No breakfasts, no evening meals.

Leo agreed......

Best of luck telling Harry that then Dylan!

Merv and Pat were doing the normal afternoon teas and even they were busy. They had 26 for their afternoon teas bringing in £520 and the 'posh' afternoon teas had 18 diners bringing in £540. Not a bad days total......especially for a Monday.

I went for my afternoon torture session, sorry I meant to say my daily workout session with William in the gym!!

I got to the changing room and found Connor and Graham cleaning the showers and changing area. Both in just shorts and sliders.....

Connor was really happy...

Graham was laughing saying "it's true love, him and Martin"

Connor told him to "shut up!"

I smiled.....

Connor smiled at me....

When we were alone he asked if I could do him a favour?

He asked if I could arrange for both him and Martin to have Friday off work please?

Why? I asked.......

"I want to take him out for dinner and then see the "Rocky Horror show" musical. And I want to ask him something as well"

He had a huge smile on his face..

Just after the afternoon teas had finished I saw Leo, Dylan, Liam and Harry go into the office...

Oh god!!! World War 3!!

No way I was going in the office!

I chickened out and stood behind reception with Billy and Aj.

We all listened for shouting or things being thrown around....

But nothing heard!! It was eerily quiet......

10 minutes later, still nothing heard!!

What was going on?

Billy and Aj looked at me.... they both knew why they were all in the office.

"Wish I was a fly on the wall" Aj told us.

Billy laughted saying.... "they have chickened out telling them, don't blame them as Harry isn't going to like it!"

20 minutes later still nothing!!

That's half an hour they have been in their? Are they all dead?

Aj had enough now with not knowing so he got 4 cappuccinos from the kitchen, knocked on the office door, waited for Leo to say "yes" and then quietly told me and Billy to "wish me luck" and went in!!

30 seconds later he came out!!

"Tell us then!" Both me and Billy said together!

"Nothing...they were sitting round the conference table. They stopped talking as I went in. I handed them each a cappuccino. They all thanked me. I quickly left then!"

After 40 minutes ......

The office door opened and Harry and Liam walked out of the office.. they didn't say anything as they walked past us!!!

We all went into the office and found both Dylan and Leo just sitting their..... both very red faced........
