I may be a bit over cautious but travelling to the next town to buy some shoes I’d seen in a charity shop window was typical of me. I arrived just before they closed but the lady was really helpful and told me I could browse if I wanted to as she wasn’t in a hurry.

I told her the shoes I wanted and confirmed they were a size I could get into (41) and she put them to one side for me. She then seemed to watch me like a hawk as I browsed the skirts rail, and then moved onto the dresses - I was self conscious but carried on.

I turned around and jumped out of my skin as she was stood so close to me as she said “we’ve some new stock in the back - what size are you, size 12 or 14?” I was rather taken aback, got somewhat flustered, and probably blushed too!

“Oh it’s OK, my husband is a sissy too so don’t worry” and as I tried to digest that she moved away saying “give me a sec’ I’ll just lock up” and my tiny little mind was still in turmoil when she returned and instructed me “come on, let’s see what we’ve got”

As I followed her into “the back” I quite enjoyed watching her hips sway and noticed her shoes were very much like the slingback heels she’d put behind the counter for me, and as they’re my favourite style I was liking her even more.

“Right then” she said as we arrived in the store room, “what size are you” and before I could answer she said “you look like a 12” and proceeded to rummage around mumbling about something that would really suit me.

I was flummoxed but as she handed a wrap over dress to me, another of my favourites, she announced she was going to get the shoes and encouraged me to get the dress on as she couldn’t wait to see what I looked like.

I was struggling with the ties of the dress when she returned, and in a very assertive way she told me to “come here” and as I responded immediately she said “let me sort this out”, unravelling everything to start again, and noticing the massive bulge in my boxers casually observed after tutting and shaking her head that “we’ll sort that out later”
