We just about made breakfast!!

The solicitors has sent a copy to the chief constable requesting details of the Police Vehicles in question and whether they were on emergency calls!"

I then heard an alarm going off in the background...."gotta go Jason" and Lewis just hung up on me!

I sat and pondered......

Gerry phoned from the car sales and rental lot.....

He reminded me that they need a meeting with me to discuss the car sales.......

Arlo asked to speak to me urgently with Chase..

Chase was just returning from a estate agent job for video footage on a big 6 bedroomed house with pool and tennis court.

10 minutes later Chase arrived and Arlo shunted us into his office!!

What the hell is going on....

On Arlo's whiteboard he had a photograph of, what looked like a field. On another photograph was a CAD drawing of hundreds of houses.

Arlo then explained that he has had a meeting with a huge building company that plans to build 267 houses on the field in the 1st photo ending up looking like the 2nd photo.

The director wants Drone footage of the entire site every weekend and be ready for him to view on the following Monday!

The area is 316,000 square feet equating to approx 7.25 acres.

The Drone, with close up video footage, will take roughly 2 to 3 hours of flight time, but planning for the entire workflow, including site prep, battery swaps, and processing, the total job duration will span about 4 to 5 hours and then probably 2 hours editing time. So probably about maximum of 10 hours work.

Its a 3 year contract!!!

My god!!

He then asked me to open up the Drone business bank account...

I nearly fell off my chair, as did Chase...we both looked at the balance and the amount deposit onto the account earlier this morning.

We both looked at the balance and then the 'bank transfer' of £156,000.00 !!

I got back to the hotel and was immediately called into Arlo's office with Jason

I was panicking a bit and worried!

I saw the pictures attached to the whiteboard.

Arlo then explained about a company building a housing estate.

I gave Arlo a hug...

Later on in the evening, Gerry, Hugh, and Finlay asked me if they could have a word as they have been trying to speak to me all week?

I asked if we should speak in the office or in the bar?

They didn't object to speakng in the bar so we headed their and found a table in the corner.

I expected to find Bradley stark bollock naked as he didn't get naked at the evening meal, but instead found him fully dressed with Chase propped up at the bar on the bar stools laughing and talking!

Anyway....

Gerry gave me a run down on the state of the car and rental business saying they definitely need more cars and wanted to expand the number of car we have for sale on site. We have the money in the bank so I agreed.

Finlay then told me he has an idea of another business idea they could do.........

He's come across a wedding car business for sale consisting of 3 vehicles:-

Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible · ivory with cream hood finish convertible for up to 3 passengers.

Rolls Royce 1955 Silver Cloud for up to 4 passengers.

Bentley Flying Spur 2014 pearl white finish up to 4 passengers.

He reckons we could use them when people book their wedding packages here and Arlo could do his marketing magic to advertise the business.

He showed me photos of the cars and all the information about the business.

The business is in Kent and the owners are expanding their fleet to stretched limousines, hence the sale of these cars

The owners are Finlay's Cousins via his Mums side.

I must confess I didn't like the price of the vehicles!! But Finlay told me that his cousins are selling the cars as a package and because we are about 180 miles away they are prepared to just sell the cars as we won't be any 'competition' to their business in their area?

I called Arlo over....

As I started speaking about this he told me that he already knows about the cars as he has already been asked!!

I smiled.....

"Good idea then Arlo? Is it feasible?"

He smiled back....

"Very feasible and yes it would help with my wedding packages etc"

I smiled at Finlay....

"Ok Finlay, if you can get the 3 cars for £15,000 cheaper than the price they are up for if we buy all 3 and your prepared to run that side of the business, and Gerry and Hugh have looked and inspected the vehicles then yes I might agree to buy them"

The 3 of them smiled and all gave me a hug!.....

I was relaxing when I heard on the 2 way radio asking for Liam to come to reception.....

I was intrigued so I headed to reception as well....

Liam had already been and gone by the time I got their....

For a lad with a prosthetic leg he can half move bloody quickly!!

Aj hesitated in telling me what the problem was.....but after I said I would 'beat it' out of him he told me that he went to Aiden and Josh's flat....

I went to Aiden's flat...

Aiden let me in and I saw Josh laying on the bed on his front and Liam looking at his back....

Josh's back was a bit 'red' and inflamed and looked bloody sore!

Liam looked at it and told us all that.."it looks like an infection, because burn scars involve damaged tissue and a compromised protective barrier, infections can spread or worsen if left untreated. So it needs treatment."

He then dialled 111 and explained and that Josh also has a high temperature.

All we heard was Liam saying "yes, no, ok, yes we have, ok, ok, we will go now"

He told Josh that he has to put a tee shirt on as he is taking him to the A&E.....

Then we heard frantic knocking on the door and in walks Harry and Arlo!

Liam ended up taking Josh and Aiden to the hospital in his car as he can park free as he has a 'blue badge'.

I'm fine!!

As you are aware, my back was badly burned when my dad set fire to the house and tried killing the whole family

Even though my lovely Aiden rubs amd massages my special cream into my scars every night and once a month William and Tom look at it and massage my back to loosen the scars, I developed a nasty infection called 'Cellulitis' which is a common bacterial skin infection that causes the area to become red, swollen, painful, and warm to the touch.

I have had it a few times in the past, but must confess this time was a rather nasty dose.

Liam took me to the A&E on the advise of the NHS 111 service.

They treated me with Intravenous Antibiotics, which they administered directly into my bloodstream through an IV drip. This allows the medicine to aggressively target the infection in the deep layers of the skin.

I was in hospital overnight and released the following morning. Aiden stayed with me throughout the night, sitting on a chair holding my hand!

I love you so much Aiden!

I was walking past reception when I could hear raised voices from Arlo's office...it was Arlo, Leo's and an unknown other male and female voice.

Aj and Billy told me that the big wedding we had in 3 days time has been cancelled and they want a full refund!

A full refund..226 guests, food brought, extra table staff booked, flowers being made up, dj and a band booked....and they want a FULL refund?

Not a cat in hell's chance!

I interrupted the meeting and Arlo introduced me to the bride to be parents.

The father insisted that we refund every pound as his daughter caught her future husband in bed with her maid of honour!

What a bastard!!!

I told him that, that was not the hotels fault and its 3 days before the event and everything has been paid for our end like the food, the band, the function room, flowers, extra staff etc etc

He wasn't prepared to listen and demanded that I refund every penny that he has paid or he will "sue the arse out of me"

Not the greatest way to get your money back or indeed threaten me!

HE WASN'T A HAPPY CHAPPIE!!

Our contract and terms state very clearly that a 50% NON returnable deposit is paid up front and all outstanding payments to be paid 30 days before wedding date. These are also NON refundable as all services are now paid for.

I reminded him that the contract he signed states that all outstanding monies owed must be paid within 30 days of the event and then no refunds whatsoever can be paid or alterations made, unless THE HOTEL cancels the event due to unforeseen circumstances.

I told him to sue the groom, now the ex groom, as he's the one at fault, not the hotel.

I then suggested that they still hold the evening meal and entertainment ?

Call it something like a "lucky escape" meal!!

He didn't appreciate my dry sense of humour!!!

I informed him that he has until midday Friday to give me an answer of whether the guests will be attending the evening meal or not. If I don't hear from him I will cancel the dj and band and extra staff and then either box the food and flowers up and deliver them to him or I will invite a well known charity for the underprivileged to attend saturday evening and i will feed them the meal, as I'm not going to throw the food away!

I finished what I had to say to the disgruntled parents and left the office to see Liam arrive back with Josh and Aiden...

Billy immediately ordered Josh and Aiden to go to their flat and probably sleep as he has covered their shifts.

Both said they were fine and can work....

For the first time ever....I saw Billy's composure change...

"I said your shifts are covered and I didn't ask you I TOLD you to go to your flat and relax and sleep. I'M NOT GOING to tell you again so move"

Both were shocked at Billy's outburst and didn't argue instead they both just said "thanks" and walked towards their flat.

Liam was a bit shocked as well and simply said, as he was walking away, "well that told them!"

The disgruntled parents left and I noticed that they shook both Arlo's and Leo's hand.

Leo then told me that the parents agreed that the evening meal and entertainment should still go ahead and the parents have signed an agreement to that effect.

A good outcome for us but I do have some empathy for them and especially for the ex bride to be.

Evening meal.......

Lewis arrives and seems very remote and distant......

Nathan had his arm around his shoulders......

The lads knew straight away that Lewis has had a 'bad' shift at the fire station and didn't ask him any questions.

As John was serving him his meal, Lewis burst into tears.....

Nathan took him out of the dining room, and obviously, Harry, 'he who knews everything' had already been told that Lewis was upset, also burst into tears and had to be consoled by Luke.

We eat in silence and I noticed a few of the lads had 'wet eyes'

After dinner I went to the staff quarters and as I entered I could hear Lewis crying in his bedroom.

Zak and Aaron were sitting on the sofa, both crying out loud.

I knocked on Lewis's bedroom door.

Nathan opened the door and I saw Lewis laying on the bed sobbing into a pillow.

I sat on the edge of the bed and he immediately gave me a hug..

He was crying his eyes out.....

He told me that they had a alarm of a house fire and he got his fellow firefighters on the tender and shot out of the fire station with lights and sirens on.....

Then over the radio they heard the dreadful message that all firefighters dread....

"Persons reported"

This mean...there are people needing to be rescued or it is suspected that people are inside the property,

Lewis put all his driver training in full effect trying to get their in the quickest and safest way possible.

But he didn't get the firefighters their in time......

He then told me "if only I got their quicker".....

I won't say what happened as the outcome was horrific......

I reassured Lewis that I'm positive that he got to the fire as quickly and as safely as he could....

I told him to have a good soak in the shower which I'm sure will help.

He just stripped their and then and walked out into the living room, past Zak, Aaron and now Alfie!! And headed towards the shower with Nathan right behind him, but still in his shorts and sliders.....

Alfie saw me and asked if I wanted a cappuccino? He finally has worked out how to use the cappuccino maker!

I sat down on the sofa opposite Zak and Aaron. They were also just in shorts and nothing else!

Alfie came back with 4 cups of cappuccino.....sorry Alfie but more training on how to make a cappuccino is definitely needed!!

He did apologise though and out of good faith for his effort we all drank them!

5.20pm.....

The 3 musketeers, Gerry, Hugh and Finlay phoned....

Luke grabbed Harry in a bear hug and kissed him fully on the lips...

When Jason said "is their anything I need to know?"...

For the 1% that obviously aren't regular readers let me introduce myself to you.... I CARE ABOUT ALL MY COLLEAGUES...

Fred was an unknown lad that Finlay just met at the emergency services gay weekender.

For those of the 1% that thought I was "too hard and rude to Fred" then thats your opinion, which I respect.

And also Finlay is far from stupid!! Just inexperienced and needed guidance and looking after!

Yes I admit I'm a bit 'different' and set in my ways especially when it comes to feeding them and my occasional 'harry-itus' but one thing that will never change is how much I care and love the lads.

Hello...

FRED here....

Jason has asked me to write a bit about my side of my relationship with Finlay.

I've never written anything like this before so please forgive me for my writing style and punctuation!

Yes, me and Finlay are still together 16 months later and, putting it bluntly and honestly I LOVE HIM.

Sorry for late continuation but just got back from a rather hectic shift at the ambulance dispatch centre.

Jason has said I can now tell you that I live in at the hotel with Finlay!

Finlay invited me to stay for evening meal and we both went to the gym changing rooms to have a shower before the meal.
