Jason has given me a good talking too and I realise why I wasn't told about Troy's condition

I'm still upset about that but can understand why....

The letter that Troy wrote me is very personal to me and the only people who have read it is Jason and Luke.

Please don't ask what Troy wrote...

I'm not an Angel....

I'm just a normal lad who cares about others.

I'm just me, Harry, Harry Webber, who has some quirks about feeding people and caring for them.

I'm in the bar now and every single one of the lads are here including the weekend staff and the girls from the sunday carvery....

Jack has poured everbody a glass of whiskey.....

Jason has just stood up and is speaking......

(Such tragic news about Troy, which Jason will update. I need something to take my mind of it so will continue with the 'story')

So here goes......

Me and Liam's cake making business is really busy with wedding cakes, birthday cakes and any cakes you want!!

We started making 'cupcakes' for the coffee shop along with sandwiches etc for them to sell.....

Alfie was the main man in that little corner of the shop whereas JP concentrated on the bespoke coffee side of things...

We have had numerous orders from the coffee shop, in fact quite a few!!

I got called to Jason's office!!

Oh god, wot have I done now !!??

I knocked on his office door but didn't just walk in like I normally would do, but I waited to be asked in!!

I heard 'come in' so I half opened the door, stuck my head in and said "you wanted to see me Boss"

I then noticed Alfie was sitting their with Dylan.......

Jason smiled and waved me in....

Oh shit....wot the hell have I done wrong?

All 3 of them looked at me as I sat down!!!

I was shitting myself......

Jason told me not too talk but too listen only. Not to get stressed, upset or speak as he doesn't want my 'harry-itus' to spoil things!!

Me? Little old me, get stressed or say something I shouldn't?

Oh jesus, I think I'm in a bit of trouble here ??

I sat down and listened to wot they had to say........

It was Alfie that started talking not Jason!!!!

He wants to expand the cake section at the coffee shop!! So it becomes a proper coffee and cake shop!

He wants to expand into the storage area at the side of the coffee shop that is just a junk room at the moment....

He wants to include a variety of handmade cakes, including fresh cream sponges, like Victoria and chocolate, fresh cream gateaux like Black Forest, strawberry, fresh cream fruit tarts, and individual pastries like éclairs, profiteroles, swiss rolls, and cream donuts...

Dylan then told me....

"Obviously we are going to have to remove you from breakfast duties and also from the Orangery afternoon teas on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays. I take it you will want Liam to help you as well?"

As I was sitting down I couldn't hop from foot to foot so my feet started tapping on the floor!! I can't help doing it....its just wot I do.....

Jason noticed.....

I was struggling not to tell them to "piss off"......

Jason then told me.......

"Plus we need you to expand your 'tea trolley' that you do every day. I would like you to offer more stuff on your trolley like cakes etc and hot food....we need to buy you a better mobile trolley for you. A bigger better one that you and Liam can push around."

Mmmnnnn. Now I liked that part!!

Then......

To my utter amazement Jason then totally suprised me......

"Harry, I've never really rewarded you for the time and effort you have put into the hotel over the years and I have felt a bit guilty about that. So....after careful consideration, I would like to offer you Directorship of the hotel as the 'Director of Welfare' plus 5% of the shares and of the Directors bonus shared at the end of each April. I'm pleased to say that the other Directors have all agreed to this appointment"

Me? Me a Director of the Hotel? Like Leo, Tony, Ian, Arlo, Jason and Dylan?

I didn't know what to say or do. My feet stopped tapping on the floor.

My hands flew up to my face and I cried.....yes I sobbed!!

I saw Jason look at me.....

I stopped crying immediately and looked back at him and smiled. A huge smile.....

I then composed myself longer enough to say that of course I wanted Liam to help me with the cakes and my tea trolley.....

Oh god.....I'm now a Director of the whole hotel! I pinched myself as I couldn't believe it. Me, Harry, Harry Webber the 'Director of Welfare'.........

Hello...

I don't normally write on here or comment on the lads writing, but today I'm going to make an exception

First of all about 16 months ago Harry was made a Director of the hotel, and so rightly deserved.

He was made Director of Welfare which suits him down to the ground and is without any shadow of a doubt the best person for that job.

At the Monthly Directors meeting when Jason wanted to reward Harry for his years of caring for the lads, Leo said "make him a Director. He deserves it"

It was my suggestion to make him the Director of Welfare

Since then Harry has held, what he calls 'weekly surgeries' on a Wednesday night in his flat to help, encourage and advise the lads. They know they can also speak to him anytime.

Now....I'm going to be a bit controversial here.

I make no apologies for it either.

Harry has and takes his 'duty of care' very, very seriously.

I was very upset about the tragic circumstances about Troy's passing but to be totally honest, I'm very pissed off that only Jason and Tom knew of his illness. Harry is the Welfare Director with a 'duty of care' towards ALL the Staff at the hotel.

Before you shoot me down in flames, yes I know that Troy didn't want Harry to know as 'Harry would be worried and fuss over me'

BUT, we can't have staff 'dictate' things to the Management and Directors....especially over health issues that can and did affect us all.

Just imagine, please, how Harry and Liam are feeling now?

They are feeling sick to the core that they were kept in the dark...

Ok, I know they couldn't have done anything..... but they could have been aware and ensure he is was not overworked, fed properly, and generally supported and encouraged him. etc etc.

I also realise that it was Troy's decision not to tell them, and I do, in a sense, respect that......

Don't get me wrong.....I liked Troy and would have done anything for him....he was like the rest of the lads 'our bro'

This is just my opinion and mine alone.....

I expect to get some criticism for this post, but I have wide shoulders.

You and Harry would have fussed over him like a couple of old mother hens. Troy didn't want that, he didn't want to be treated differently and you have to admit it you and Harry would have made a fuss over him. You all look out for each other.

I found it difficult to read on here that a young man like Troy had die, like all of yous lads have become part of our family and we have become part of your family

I'm writing this with wet eyes, very wet eyes....

I'm with Jason, who is trying to console me....

Tony has really put the 'cat amongst the pigeons' by writing wot he did.

We received a Dm from one of our readers who doesn't normally comment on the actual forum but always by a Dm.......

I won't name the writer of the Dm as I think if he wanted to be known he would have replied on the forum.

He summed up this situation in a way me and Tony never thought off...

I now fully understand why Troy did what he did....

Have a read and you will know why my eyes are wet.....

I agree Tony and not knowing Troy's health condition and untimely death has been a great shock to all.

I suspect Troy meant well and those he informed respected his wishes to keep it a secret. Troy was probably dealing it in his own way without fuss and treating every day as a joy. Some people just don't want to be fussed over and I also appreciate Harry and others being mortified they hadn't been informed. But I suspect Troy felt he was protecting Harry what with having surgery himself and with him being a sensitive soul wanted Harry unworried.

It's a difficult one and I guess lessons can be learnt.

I know you are all strong characters and have your opinions on the matter but I hope you can all move forward without any I'll feeling or animosity. Troy would not have wanted this.

It's raw at the moment and things are going to be said.. Hopefully time is a healer.

My thoughts go out to you all during this difficult time xx"

Harry i think Troy explained to you in his letter why he didn't tell you, and as it personal we will say no more i hope you excepted his explanation. It is true we all grief in different ways. I agree that you are all strong characters but you are all loving and caring for each other. You support each other, you are the most loving and supportive member of staff and that's why your were made a Director. When my sister die i blamed myself because i gave here a anioting blessing as God to health or take her home. He told her from me. Keep doing what you do best and thats supporting everyone. OSCAR writing a bit.....

I have been asked to continue with me getting the job with Chase and finishing what I started writing in Part 2987.....

So here goes!!!

And yes....

It ended up with Pat sucking every drop of my cum out of my dick and Merv unleashing every drop of his cum down my throat!!

A great start to the day!!!

Anyway...you know what happened when Jason offered me the job. The saying 'honesty is the best policy' certainly was the case!

At one stage when Jason agreed that I should withdraw my application I thought I had blown my chances?

(I have been asked by Dylan to tell you that yes he has heard of that saying!)

I actually started the next day!!

I was excited.......

I arrived at 09.00am, as arranged to be met at reception by Leo and Aj.

Then Chase and Jason arrived, both shaking my hand and giving me a shoulder bump....

We went in the office and I signed my contract of employment!!

I was given my uniform...all branded with the name and logo....there was 4 polo shirts, 3 cargo trousers, a body warmer, 2 outdoor jackets and 4 beanie hats.

Chase told me to go to the gym changing rooms and get changed...

I did and looked at myself in the mirror...looking smart!!

Chase then told him he has booked a online courses for me in a weeks time to gain the Flyer ID, Operator ID, 'A2 Certificate of Competency'. This entry-level commercial course covers flying safely near uninvolved people and the 'General Visual Line of Sight' Certificate. This is the standard qualification needed for commercial operations and applying for a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Operational Authorisation.

He hasn't hung around getting me trained!

I need to do a lot of homework as the courses are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday!!

We went outside near the shooting range and Chase put a drone up into the air and showed me how it worked and to view what the drone camera is recording....

He landed the drone dead centre on the mat with a big X on it.

He then handed me the controller and told me to fly it!!!

Earlier today I had a DM from one of our wonderful regular readers and contributor with his views.

He has come up with a wonderful idea of either having a bench made with a plaque dedicating it to Troy or to plant a tree....

The lads think it's a great idea and I have asked my brother Ian to build a bench, similar to the love seat he built and I will buy and engrave a plaque dedicating it to Troy.....

The lads also want the bench placed in Ian's private garden in the hotel grounds along with a planting of a tree ceremony in Troy's memory.

OSCAR back now....

Anyway...

Chase handed me the controller and told me it's my turn to fly the drone!

Jesus christ !!

I must confess that I do play a lot of computer games so I'm used to using joysticks and being ambidextrous.....

I took a deep breath and got the Drone up in the air.....

Then I flew it across the shooting range at different heights and even managed to turn the 2 cameras on and record the flight....

Every minute I was gaining more confidence and experience and felt really good about it !

It wasn't as hard as I thought it to be, but admittedly I need to work on my video footage I was taking....

Chase was impressed and told me to land the Drone on the landing mat.

He told me to watch the controller screen as well as the actual Drone itself...

I came in too land when a small gust of wind (thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!) throw me a little of course meaning I did actually manage to land on the mat but missed the 'X'

But Chase still thought that was brilliant for a '1st timer'

We got back to the hotel just as Harry was pushing his trolley into reception....god he had a lot of stuff on it....sandwiches, cakes, soft drinks, hot drinks...WOW!!

Harry then told me.....

"as your now a member of staff anything you want from my trolley is free and your welcome to eat at the dining table with all the other lads. But we have a table tradition and I expect you to do it even though it's voluntary but nobody has refused yet! Don't be the first"

What on earth is he talking about?

OSCAR still writing...

(Jason has asked me to tell you that and I quote him verbatim....."yes bloody smudge is still annoying the hell out of me...this year I must have got through 10 pairs of shoe laces! Its only my shoelaces he attacks! Plus he has given me numerous shocks by jumping on reception desk or my office desk and looking at me with his 'got yea' look on his face! The other month as I went to bed and pulled the sheet back, he was sleeping in my bed! Nearly had a bloody heart attack! But regardless of this, I do love the little shit")

Harry made sure that I had a hot drink and a sandwich and a piece of cake that he had just baked. It was a lovely vanilla one.....

Anyway me and Chase went into Arlo's office and we downloaded the memory card from the Drone...

I wasn't that impressed with the footage I had taken....it wasn't 'smooth' and a bit juddering if you know what I mean?

The software that they use to 'enhance' the footage was new to me, but after Arlo and Chase had finished editing it, it wasn't that bad in all honestly!!!

Chase gave me the password to the software and told me to have a 'go'

Trial and error he called it!

As I was experimenting with the software I asked Arlo wot Harry was talking about when he mentioned the Tradition?

Arlo laughted!! "Their are a few traditions the hotel has...which one was he talking about?"

I told him something to do with eating with the lads?

Arlo laughted louder saying.... "oh..that one! Its totally voluntary but I don't think anybody hasn't done it yet"

I looked at....."are you going to bloody tell me then or do I have to guess?" I laughted.....

"Well....as all the lads have sat down, Tony introduces you to them and then you have to strip birthday suit naked, stand on the chair with your hands on your head and twirl around"

I looked at him with my mouth open wide.......

"Yea, stop winding me up! Your joking? Wot is it really?"

Hello peeps...

Alfie and JP have John and Henry restructuring the coffee shop to accommodate the new cake section.

Jp has asked them if they could work outside business hours and on a sunday so they do not interfere with the daily customers etc.

Of course John and Henry agreed! They really are lovely lads who will bend over backwards to help you out.

Just realised what I said there! No pun intended and not literally of course! But I'm sure they bend over for each other!!

Anyway my new tea trolley has arrived!!!

My god it's great!.... Even has cupboards and drawers! Its not too heavy and easy to move with both me and Liam to pull/push it around, but you can move it yourself.

Its a 'Moffat BTX Beverage & Breakfast Trolley' which probably doesn't mean much to you, but it's one of the best mobile heated catering trolleys you can get. Their used in hospitals and stadiums etc. And costs just over £5,000!! Thank you Jason!!!

Liam was loading it as I was going into my first Directors meeting!!

HARRY, Harry Webber here still...

Hello....

I was a bit nervous walking to Jason's office to attend my 1st ever Directors meeting!!

I knock on the door and waited instead of just barging in....

I heard hello so I went in....

They were all their! I was the last one to arrive! Not a good start..!

Leo waved me to an empty seat. As I got their I noticed a A4 folder with the hotels name and logo on it and then I saw my name on it!!!

"Mr Harry Webber

Director of Welfare."

I had to look at it twice before it finally sunk in that I was now a Director of the hotel.

I smiled to myself.

Leo started the meeting by congratulating me on my appointment and Jason poured us all a glass of champagne!!

I didn't really understand most of what was being said, like the profit and loss account, turnover anticipated etc etc etc. But I do know that the hotel is financially stable with a lot of money in the bank.

I was then given a Welfare 'budget' of £5,000 for the remainder of the business year which I learnt was end of April and not December!!

This was incase I need to obtain online courses like 'how to deal with stress' or counselling courses for the lads that need help and advice and whatever Liam needs for his medical backpack.

It was then proposed by Arlo that my tea trolley has a budget of £50 a day now its a bigger and better trolley!!

£50 may not seem that much but as everything is made in house by me and Liam thats a huge fiqure!

Tony 'seconded' the suggestion and Leo asked for a 'show of hands' to approve it.

I immediately stuck my hand up but Jason grabbed it and pushed it down saying...'conflict of interest' you can't vote!!

Anyway it was approved !!!

Then a knock on the door..Jason shouts "hello" for Pat to walk in with a tray of sandwiches, cakes and biscuits!! He then started making the cappuccinos for us!

Fucking hell!!!

I used to do what Pat is now doing!

Pat winked at me as he was handing me my cappuccino and whispered 'well done Harry'

When Pat left we took a 5 minute break to eat the sandwiches, cake and biscuits.

Oh no.....my eyes were getting wet!!

I continued doing some video editing on some footage that Chase had done the other day, thinking about this table tradition.

Chase asked how I was getting on and then told me that he has another job tonight at 9pm. The client wants footage of his field as he believes that it is going to be used to Flytip building waste and wanted video evidence of it. He then said I could stay for evening meal and stay overnight in the staff quarters if I wanted?

4.30pm Chase arrives back at the hotel....

I told him that of course I would help him with the evening shoot.

Tony comes into Arlo's office and asks Chase if he's doing this shoot tonight about the flytippers?

Chase said that he was and that I'm helping him as well....

Tony immediately said he was coming along as well.

Chase looked at him with a quizzed look on his face.....

Tony smiled....

"Jason's told me and I'm not happy about you doing this....flytipping is illegal and if it's builders doing it then if they spot you it could turn nasty....so I'm coming with you"

5.00pm.....

We had finished work and Chase said he's going for a shower in the gym before evening meal as he won't have time to go home first.

We both headed to the showers....

OSCAR.....

So here I am butt naked in the showers with my boss!!

I couldn't believe he volunteered to do this table tradition with me to ease my nerves....

We showered, got dried and dressed and headed to the dining room....

Chase was more interested in wot was on the menu tonight then stripping naked in front of god knows how many of the lads.......

Tony done a 'well done' for the day speech and then welcomed me to the table as I was now full time working with Chase......

I stood up and took off my tee shirt and as Chase stood up, I waved him to sit back down.

I BLOODY WELL DID IT!!

Yes, even though I was nervous, panicking and totally embarrassed I done it by myself!

I stopped Chase from doing it with me, as after all, he is my boss and enough though he volunteered I felt he should be respected?

I got dressed and John, Henry and Harry started serving us our 'fish finger' pie and all the trimmings.

It tasted a lot better than what it sounds like!

And if you asked me if I would eat it again, the answer would be a definite YES......

Apparently Dylan gives whoever is the lead chef(s) a free hand on what they cook for breakfast and evening meal as it challenges their culinary skills?

Chase took me to the staff quarters and showed me the bedroom I would be sleeping in tonight.. Chase is sleeping in the other spare room

As we entered the staff quarters we saw Rhys and Alfie sitting on one sofa and Nathan and Lewis on the other dressed in only shorts !!!

All 4 congratulated me on now being part of the hotel family.... that was nice of them.

I suppose I'm going to have to get used to being half naked or fully naked for most of the time!?????

8.30pm.......

Tony knocks on the door and tells me and Chase they we will be going in Jason's range rover as its unmarked, as in no company decals or logos, and we can hide it in the field etc.

We got the necessary Drone and all associated equipment we need and loaded the range rover.

Tony didn't want us to go in our 'branded' staff uniform.

Oh shit... I didn't bring any spare clothes with me apart from spare uniform.....

Tony told us to wait a minute and he disappeared....

He came back with 2 pairs of jeans, 2 dark tee shirts and 2 dark fleeces. They were Leo's as he is about the same size as us..

We arrived at the site....

We hid the range rover between some trees so was well hidden.....

Then Tony took out of a fancy looking case, a funny looking pair of binoculars.......

They were 'night vision' goggles!

Tony laughted..... "good old Sam!

Wow! When you looked through them, dark became light.....fantastic!

9.52pm

From our hiding place, we saw headlights in the distance...

I grabbed the night goggles and Tony snatched them back saying.....

"Jesus don't look at the headlights through these...they will blind you!"

Anyway when the headlights in the distance were switched off Tony looked and saw the back doors of the van being opened.

Chase smiled and the Drone took off.....it also had night vision cameras on it!!! I was looking over his shoulders at the control screen, and the cameras had a 10 x optical zoom and we could read the number plate of the van!!

We clearly saw them flytipping a bathroom suite, the bath, the sink and the toilet!! Then some large boards and then 8 buckets of wot looked like rubbish and then 24 plastic bags.....

I heard Chase say "shit"....

We could, on the controller screen, see the 3 blokes looking into the air and then pointing directly at the Drone.....

Chase quickly moved it further away from them.

These blokes then quickly shut the back doors of the van and drove away pretty fast!!

We had the evidence we needed!! The client would be really pleased!!

Hello peeps

HARRY, Harry Webber (Director) here!

Since my promotion I have been busy looking after the lads welfare...

Thank god Dylan took me and Liam off of breakfasts and the Orangery afternoon teas duties.

John and Henry had worked like trojans and finished the new extension to the coffee shop to house the cake part... well done lads.

It now stocks, including 'occasion' cakes like birthdays and wedding and Classic Layer Cakes & Sponges, victoria Sponge, Chocolate Fudge, truffle Cake, Carrot Cake, Coffee & Walnut Cake, Red Velvet, Lemon Drizzle, Tarts, Pies & Pastries, Cheesecake, Fruit Tarts and Frangipane, Cupcakes and Brownies. All freshly made!

Me and Liam are flat out making and baking the cakes and the section is very busy.

I come up with a plan!!!

Employ a pastry chef!!

First thing early morning he would help make and bake the cakes and tarts etc and then he works in the coffee shop on the cake section helping to sell them !!

Something like 06.00am - 4.00pm Tuesday to Friday?

It was approved by Dylan and by JP so I had a word with Arlo who seems to be able to contact the right people to find new staff....

Within 2 days of asking Arlo had 3 people interested in joining us as a pastry chef....

2 of them had a level 3 City and Guilds Patisserie and confectionery and the other a level 2.

I decided to get Liam to do the initial interviews....and then I would interview them and see if our choice of candidate is the same? Then if it is, Dylan will interview our choice and he would say yes or no.....

My new tea trolley is brilliant!

It can hold so much more stock and I know the lads are happy now they have a bigger choice of eats.

( Troy's funeral is Monday 6th July and Jason offered his parents our 3 wedding cars as transport for them and other family members. He also offered the hotel's function room to them to hold a 'wake' for him. Jason being Jason, after the parents accepted the use of the cars and the function room with drinks and a buffet, and handed over their credit card to pay, Jason refused payment... all the Gym staff who want to attend the funeral service are welcomed to attend and Tom is closing the gym from midday until 4pm and Jason, Leo and me are going to represent the hotel)

Harry!!! I've never interviewed anybody in my life!!

He gave me some pointers on wot to look for when interviewing when we were doing the tea trolley run...

All the stuff is free for the lads from the tea trolley.. but when we got this bigger trolley and started stocking more cakes, pastries, cupcakes etc the lads thought they should be paying for some items especially the cream cakes, cupcakes and pastries.

Harry went a bit mad refusing any payment as he wasn't a 'shop'.

Now we all know wot Harry is like when it comes to feeding the lads etc but he did actually listen to the lads and he actually compromised!!! The lads can, if they so wish, make a voluntary donation.

We done it for the 1st week and the voluntary donations came to £375 !!

Dylan, Leo and Jason were thrilled and thought if that fiqure is achieved every week, thats £1,500 a month!

Pays for the food and makes a good monthly contribution towards the cost of the trolley!!!

Harry smiled.....

Yes he did compromise with the lads, but he had the last laugh which shocked me, Jason, Dylan and Leo!!

He stood up at the dining table on the Friday night and told everything that the donations reached £375 !!

Billy calls me to reception. The first job candidate has arrived.

Here we go !!......

I'm using Arlo's office as him and Aaron are at the coffee shop taking photos etc for a new marketing campaign for the cake section opening..

We went into the office and this candidate is one of the two that has a level 3 city and guilds.....

They say you can make your mind up about someone in the first 10 seconds of meeting then??

It took me less than that to realise he had no confidence about him at all.

He wasn't forthcoming in anything and answered my questions with 1, 2 or 3 words....it was like pulling teeth to be honest.

I took him through to the kitchen and introduced him to Harry, for his practical test....

I walked straight back to Arlo's office and I'm not kidding 2 minutes later this candidate walked past the office and out of the front doors being accompanied by Harry...

Harry came into the office and asked me wot I thought of that candidate?

I told him it was like pulling me teeth out in getting any form of answers out of him...

Now....Harry would help and advise anybody....he has a heart of gold. BUT....NEVER, EVER, fuck about in his kitchen or forget basic hygiene practices !!

He then told me that he handed him a chefs apron and told him wot he wanted him to make and bake....

The candidate took off his jacket, put on the apron and immediately handled the ingredients for the cake......

Harry stopped him immediately....and told him....

"Basic hygiene practice. Wash your hands before you touch food and if necessary wear the gloves provided. You failed to do either so you will not be working here. Thank you for your time, but it's time you left my kitchen"

You go Harry!!

But of course he was correct.

Me and Harry then had time on our hands so we filled the tea trolley and went on our rounds, taking Martin and Jacob with us to show them how to do it.

I left them to at 10.50am so I was ready for the 2nd candidate.

As I got to reception Billy told me that the 2nd candidate is here....

I went to the sofa and introduced myself to him......

A well presented lad, holding a portfolio folder....

A good strong handshake and a lovely smile and then thanking me for the opportunity......

We went into the office and I made us both a cappuccino....

The lad was called Morgan. He's 22, passed level 2 City of Guilds and full of confidence. 100 times better than the first candidate.

After various questions from me, which he answered without hesitation we came to his portfolio. It contained his various cookery qualifications and pictures of his own cake creations etc..... he also worked in a cake shop part time on Saturdays!

I was impressed !!!

I then took him to the kitchen and introduced him to Harry......

LIAM......still here.

I took Morgan to the kitchen and introduced him to Harry....

I showed Harry Morgan's portfolio of the cakes he made and Harry asked if he knows all the recipes?

Morgan pulled out a little book...it contained all the recipes that he had wrote down!

Morgan told us that he has written down every recipe since he started making cakes at the age of 5 with his grandma!!

Harry gave him an apron.....he put it on and immediately went and washed his hands!

Good lad Morgan!!!

Morgan's practical test was to make a vanilla cake and one of the cupcakes in his recipe book....

Me and Harry also started making our own cakes....

All 3 of us were talking about the hotel facilities, the gym, the Flowery, the Orangery etc and that Morgan gets meals on duty etc.

He asked if we all lived in?

Harry looked at me......

"Some of us live in and we have staff flats for those married or coupled and staff quarters for the single lads...I live in one of the flats with my lovely husband Luke, who works in the gym and Liam lives in a flat as well with his partner Aj who was on reception when you came in?"

I knew Harry was testing Morgan here about being gay.....

Morgan didn't flinch....he carried on preparing and without looking up told us......

"My best friend who I grow up with and known for over 15 years came out as gay last year. I didn't have a clue he was gay. We used to share a bed, you know, top and tail when we were younger and stayed at each others. We used to shower together after playing squash and sports. Never had a bloody clue"

There was talk in the kitchen going on that it was about time we had another party and games night...

Morgan looked up and asked "is the party just for the live in lads or for all staff?"

Sean explained it was for all and explained about their being pool, darts, monopoly, cludeo, cards etc etc and then added that they normally end up naked due to stupid dares!!

Morgan laughed......

Sean then told him he won't be laughing if he gets the job as he will have to do the table tradition the first time he eats at the staff dining table!!

Morgan looked up asking what the table tradition is and what it means?

Sean told him what it was and that everybody, so far has done it.....

Morgan laughted.....

"Is that it?"

"Is that it?" said Morgan after being told wot the table tradition was.....

Morgan didn't seem shocked, fazed, or anxious.......he just continued making the cakes!!!

He is a very relaxed and chilled lad, who just, by the seems of it, gets on with it....?

Dylan then walked into the kitchen for everybody to say "chef" ....

Morgan looked up and saw Dylan in his full chefs uniform.

I immediately introduced Morgan to Dylan.....

Morgan then lost his 'chill factor' and seemed to be in awe of Dylan?

I saw him shake a bit? And was speechless?

In the end, he managed to say "chef"

Sean...the wind up bandit, told Morgan...... "jesus man when the big boss walks in, you out of respect SHOUT "CHEF" not a little wimpy 'chef'... as he's the one that makes the final decision on whether you get the job or not...."

We then heard, probably out of fear! Morgan shout "CHEF!"

It was only when we all started laughing that Morgan realised Sean was joking.....

"You rotter!! That was evil! Shouted Morgan.....you got me going their! But trust me revenge will be mine!"

He then put his head down and continued his cake making!

Cool, calm and collect is Morgan...

Hello peeps!!

HARRY, Harry Webber (Director) here!

Hope your all well....

Morgan is a character!!

I liked him...I liked his sense of humour, and how well he dealt with Sean....

Plus his vanilla cake was spot on and his butterfly cakes, where he cut in half the top of the sponge and angled it to look like wings, and set it over a dollop of cream were exceptionally good looking and tasted great.

The 3rd candidate phoned and told us that he was unable to make it for his interview.

So we decided to take Morgan to the coffee shop so he can see the shop and where he will be working for half the day....

We got their in Liam's car....

Morgan saw that Liam had a blue badge and that Liam was using a extra lever on the steering wheel to accelerate and brake the car?

He looked confused and said that he didn't know that Liam had a disability?

He couldn't believe it when Liam told him that he has a prosthetic leg.....as he never noticed just thought that he had a bit of a limp?

Morgan loved the shop and got on well with JP and Alfie...

We got back to the hotel and Liam asked Morgan if he wanted to stay for evening meal?

He got straight on his mobile and told his mum that he's staying for dinner at the hotel!!

It goes without saying that of course Morgan was offered the job!!

He immediately got back on his mobile to tell his mum he got the job! He was so excited and happy!!

I got the job!!!

Yes I've been working here for just over 14 months now, and LOVE IT...

Harry and Liam are great lads and I think we're a great team!

I love making and preparing and baking the cakes and love serving the cakes in the coffee shop. JP and Alfie leave me to it and since the extension and I have been in the coffee shop the sales have increased by 400 %.....

I work Tuesday to Saturday and I stay in the staff quarters Tuesday night till Friday night. I then sleep at my mums Saturday, Sunday and Monday night....unless the hotel has a party on the Saturday night!

On my interview day, Liam said I could stay for evening meal which I did!

I went up to Liam's flat so I could have a shower etc....him and Aj have a beautiful flat as does Harry and Luke.

I had a shower and as I came out, fully dressed, I noticed that Liam and Aj were dressed only in a pair of shorts.

This was the first time I saw Liam without his prosthetic.

Aj made the cappuccinos and afterwards they took me to the staff quarters so I could see where I would be sleeping when and if I stayed over....

We got their, and bloody hell, Zak, Aaron, Alfie, Rhys, Nathan and Lewis were dressed in just shorts and sliders as well!

I was told that was the 'off duty' dress that most of the lads had adopted.......

I felt out of place in my trousers, shirt and shoes !!!

Nathan told me that I should ask Billy or Leo to assign me a bedroom so I can leave some spare clothes and personal effects in their?

Liam and Aj thought that was a good idea and said I should ask after evening meal....

Evening meal.....

We went to the dining room....it was packed with loads of faces I didn't know!!

We sat down and Tony stood up and gave a well done for the day speech. He then introduced me to the others! The lads then one by one told me who they were and what their job was. How the hell am I supposed to remember all of them? Their must have been over 40 of them!!

When it came to Sean, who I obviously already knew,.....he immediately told everybody that he has told me about the 'table tradition' and that I thought that it 'was easy' !!!

All eyes were now on me and I went bright red in the face and wished the floor would swallow me up!!

It was the lovely Harry who told Sean off, telling him to "give it a rest, Morgan's been here less than 8 hours, just been offered the job and it's his first meal"

I learnt then, that when Harry speaks, everybody listens and acts accordingly!!

Evening meal was barbecue pulled chicken, cooked in bbq sauce and piled onto toasted buns with coleslaw....

Absolutely delicious!

MORGAN.....still writing.

Thank you Harry for putting Sean in his place, but even though I was totally embarrassed and wished the floor would swallow me up, I decided that I couldn't allow Sean to wind me up anymore so I planned my revenge, big time......

He wasn't going to get away with it!

Anyway, it's a Friday and Harry wants me to start Monday. That means tomorrow I have to tell my Saturday job people that, that will be my last day with them. I felt a bit guilty about that tbh.

And Monday Harry said he would phone my college and explain that I now have a full time job at the hotel so I won't be coming back to do my level 3.

I was really chuffed when Dylan told me that the college does a part time, one evening a week, City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Patisserie and Confectionery, and the hotel will pay for me to attend!

I went home and my mum was really chuffed for me! I couldn't wait to start!!

I had just finished my last shift at my saturday job....(the boss really wasn't happy that I was leaving but he fully understood and wished me the best of luck) when my mobile phone rang. It was Liam telling me that the lads are having a party/games night tonight and invited me to come, and if I wanted a drink or 2, I could stay the night!

Yes of course I will come!!

I packed an overnight bag and headed to the hotel!

Now, I heard through the grapevine that Sean was rather good at Darts.

My revenge was looking sweeter now!

I got to the hotel and was greeted by Aj and Billy who gave me a 'keycard' for the staff quarters and told me that bedroom 4 is now allocated to me permanently now!

Nathan and Lewis was in the staff quarters and when I unpacked my bag they took me down to the bar.

There was a table in the corner full of buffet food and the drinks were free. WOW!

Harry and Liam saw me and came over and gave me a hug.....

Most of the lads said hello and either shook my hand, gave me a hug or patted me on the back...they made me feel so welcome, it was so nice!

There was pool being played, darts, table tennis and Harry was organising a 'game of life' game.

Sean was playing darts and my mind went into overdrive over my sweet revenge.....

He saw me and, to be fair, he said hello and if I wanted to play darts, but warned me that he 'was good' so don't feel too embarrassed if he thrashes me!!

Sweet revenge, will be mine!!

We played a couple of games which he easily won to be honest...

I pretended that I wanted to have another go at beating him as I'm sure I could win......

He laughted and said he would play another best of 3 game but their has to be a forfeit?

I asked what the forfeit was?

"Loser has to spend the rest of the evening stark bollock naked"

I told him that the loser also has to have the word 'loser' written on his head and chest!!!

Sean immediately agreed....

As Hannibal Smith from the tv programme 'the A team' would say...

"I love it when a plan comes together!"......

Game on!!!!.........

"And the loser has to suck the winner off...." replied Sean....

He smiled like he thought he backed me into a corner and therefore refuse the bet...

I stared at him.....

He stared back and said.....

"If you want to chicken out of the game, I understand mate!"

He said it loud enough for everybody to hear....

I can play his game as well so I simply replied.....

"If your sure you want to play, its fine with me but I have to warn you that I'm a very and I mean a VERY, VERY heavy cummer and I haven't had a wank for the last week"

The others cheered and clapped me!!

I saw Sean's jaw drop and it was obvious I might just have got 'one up on him'

He handed me a set of darts.....

We got to the dart board and we must have had 30 of the others now watching.....even Harry and the lads playing 'game of life'

Best of 3, 501 and double or bullseye to finish....

"Nearest the bull to throw first"

I smiled and to Sean's shock and horror I pulled out from my pocket my 'Red Dragon Pegasus 22g tungsten steeltip' darts.

I swear I saw Sean 'gulp'
