I was out on a bike ride and stopped at a bridge to have a quick ten minute rest and a bite to eat and drink to get my energy back up. I've been out for two hours, non-stop cycling.

It was only until I packed up that a young twenty something year old came by and took a seat. He nodded to me as a gesture of acknowledgement but rather than nodding back, I spoke to him.

“Hi”, I kept it short and sweet. Not knowing what else to say. “You alright?” I finally asked.

Nothing. I wasn't sure whether he heard me but I knew I spoke loud enough for him to hear as he was somewhat closer than three meters away on the bench. All I knew was he was on his phone, the familiar sound of a notification filling my ears.

I couldn't tell what he looked like but I knew that he was in shape. Sunkissed tanned skin, eyes covered with shades and a helmet covering his dark brown hair.

That's all I know of his apearance.

I hooked my backpack on my shoulders and hopped onto my bike.

“Catch you later” the lad said.

I nodded and smiled, “see you around”.

I remained grounded, my right foot on the pedal of the bike.

“If you're around sometime, fancy riding together sometime?” I asked.

He looked at me, sceptically at first then nodded in appreciation. “Sure, it could be fun.” He then responded.

After giving his number to me and sending him a text message. I finally made my way for another three hours.

You need to tell us more.

I often see a young guy probably early 20s in full cycling gear getting ready to set off from his house. The outfit leaves little to the imagination and I am pretty certain he sees staring everywhere time I see him.

The next day came, I texted Cal that I was heading out on the bike and that I'd be at the bridge roughly in two hours time.

‘Bike got pinched last night, gonna run it instead. I may be late’ his text came through to my phone.

Not good. I wrote a text to him, ‘If you want. We can go running. I can cycle to you and we can run together from yours?’ I was unsure whether to send it.

After deciding I didn't want to send it, my finger hit the send button before the delete and I couldn't take it back.

‘I mean, sure. But how far are you? I'm near Ashley Field Hospital.’ He messaged me.

I knew where that was. I got dressed in my lycra and took a backpack packed with my running gear, food and drink.

I called him up and the phone rang out for five rings before he answered.

“Hello” he said.

“Hey Cal, I'm near the hospital too so I'm on my way now. What's the address and I'll be there in say half hour?”

He gave me his address. He told me he was eating first but should be ready by the time I arrived.

We said our goodbyes and I started to make my way.

I reached the address. The neighbourhood was on the slightly rough side, but his house was kept in as good shape as it could be.

I knocked on the door. The door opened with him standing topless.

“Sorry, I guess it didn't take me half an hour like I thought.” I said to him, a smile on my face taking in the lean figure.

My eyes took in the site before me. Blue eyes piercing my soul as if I was his for the taking, a smile that showed glistening white natural teeth. The damp hair beneath his right armpit was on show.

My cock began to plump up slightly seeing this.

'Not now, please' I thought. 'I've nowhere to hide'

A smooth chest with slightly enlarged nipples was next to greet me and further down, a trail of dark fur reaching into the hem of his underwear beneath his shorts.

“Sorry, I'm early. Is there anywhere I can change?” I then asked.

“I would say pop your bike in the back, but sadly my bike was there in the shed and they got in” he responded. “You can leave it in the house though. Upstairs maybe, so it's not on show. Bedrooms up there too if you want to go ahead and change.”

I thanked him, he moved aside and opened the door wider.

I managed to get my bike upstairs and into a bedroom. Failing to look around, the smell hit me first, the distinct scent of sweat and musky chlorine. I turned to leave as my cock grew more.

I knew I was in his bedroom and didn't want to change in there if he didn't want me to.

I shouted down to him if the room was ok for me before getting changed and before he answered, he quickly climbed the stairs and asked me to hang fire.

He went into the room and did a quick tidy. I heard draws opening and closing with objects being thrown in. I turned and saw a pair of black boxers, freshly worn and semen coated, on the floor near the wash basket.

The impure thoughts hit me like a freight train. Images filled my imagination as I waited, my growing cock almost at full stand point. That smelt incredible.

"Erm, you can come in now" he told me as he picked up the boxers off the floor and putting them in the basket. "Sorry about the mess."

He looked down, saw the growth that was shown at the front of my crotch and smiled as he looked at me again, catching eye contact.

"I, er, I will leave you to get changed." He then said.

"You can change too now if you want?" I responded. A glimmer of hope filled me. Walking past him and placing my bag on his now christened bed.

As he got to the door to his bedroom, Cal stopped.

“Sure?” he questioned.

He turned and saw me nod, then made tracks to the opposite side of the bed.

With his back to me, I pulled off my lycra top and unzipped my shorts, folding them onto the corner of the bed next to my bag. By the time I stripped down completely, his shorts had already hit the floor.

My hands covered what dignity I had left, given that I was over-excited from earlier and desperately trying to hide it from the youngster.

“Damn,” I whispered under my breath, thinking it was quiet enough to pass unnoticed.

He turned, catching me dead-on as I took him in from behind. His smile widened. My face flushed a bright, burning pink.

“Sorry,” I muttered, looking away.

“It’s fine,” he said, letting out a soft laugh and giving me a wink. “You’re definitely not the first guy to check me out.”

I swallowed, the air in the room suddenly feeling a lot thicker. The words slipped out before my brain could filter them.

“So... you’re okay with guys looking at you like that?”

“Sure. In fact, I kinda like the attention I get,” Cal offered, his tone laced with flirtatious heat.

A smile slowly grew on my face. The initial embarrassment faded, replaced by something much bolder. I lifted my head, locking eyes with him again, taking in the way he looked at me.

“Well,” I said, holding his blue gaze, “you’re certainly giving me plenty to look at.”

He took in my naked form as I stood, unmoved, his eyes dropping lower to where my hands were placed.

“You're not so bad yourself—for an older lad,” Cal retorted smoothly, his smile widening.

“We should, erm… yeah,” I stammered. Words were struggling to escape my lips. He had caught me completely off guard. Did he really just say that?

“How old are you, anyway?” he asked.

“Forty,” I said.

“Twenty-six,” he replied with a slight smirk. “I’m assuming you’re gay, then?”

I didn't nod, nor did I shake my head. Instead, I just shrugged. “Bi, maybe. I don't really know,” I answered, completely unsure of what label fit.

I just knew I had to have him.

“We should probably run before I act on impulse,” I said with a faint laugh, gesturing toward my kit.

“Sure thing,” he said, giving me another wink as he turned to grab his gear.

We kept side by side as we ran. Twelve miles had gone by, and we were still running strong. Subtle glances were traded between us—each stealing a look when we thought the other wasn't paying attention.

Or so I thought.

"Want to stop here for a moment?” Cal asked between heavy breaths.

“Sure,” I responded. The sight of Cal standing in front of me in sweat-soaked gear was sending a fresh wave of heat straight to my gut. “I'll be back in a second.”

I stepped off the path to answer nature's call. When I looked up, I caught Cal gazing out over the view before letting his eyes drift deliberately down toward me.

"You alright down there, or do you need a hand?” he asked, giving me that same slow smile and a wink.

The mere thought of his hands on me did something fierce to my chest. I tried to fight the impulse, but I knew I was fighting a losing battle.

My length hardened right there, Cal's eyes locked onto me the entire time.

Once I finished, I tucked myself back into my shorts and climbed back up the embankment to rejoin him.

“This,” I said, gesturing down toward the prominent bulge in my shorts, “is entirely your doing.”

My confidence had surged, knowing now just how comfortable he was in his own skin—and around me.

Cal let out a light laugh, his eyes dropping back down to my crotch before snapping up to hold my gaze.

“My bad,” he smirked, not looking even slightly sorry.

We decided it was best to linger there for a while, giving me a chance to soften up a little before making a sprint back to Cal's place.

"Looks like we may have an audience,” I said.

A passing cyclist slowed to a halt nearby. His eyes lingered shamelessly on the prominent bulge in my shorts before he reached for his bottle to refuel.

He gave a brief wave. Cal and I waved back.

“Reckon we should head back?” I asked Cal under my breath.

Before Cal could answer, the stranger dismounted his bike and unzipped his gear right there in front of us. He didn't seem to have a care in the world. Standing on the opposite side of the trail, he released a long, steady stream of clear urine, taking his sweet time while we stood watching.

My cock strained hard against the fabric, still prominently erect. Cal was watching. I glanced over at him and caught him looking right back at me, his eyes full of mischief.

“Want a hand?” Cal called out to the now-finished stranger.

My jaw nearly dropped. I couldn't believe he’d just asked that so openly, out in the middle of nowhere. I had assumed he was straight or just joking around around with me, but watching him call out to another guy proved he was far wilder than I had bargained for.

He led me through to the bathroom, switching on a single flickering bulb. The room was small and bare, containing just the essentials: a worn bar of soap, a half-empty bottle of cheap antiseptic, and a couple of mismatched towels hanging from a hook.

"Could you sit on the edge of the tub and I'll take a look at your injuries," Cal said gently.

I did as I was told, watching him drop down to his knees in front of me. The position put him right between my legs. Even with my knee throbbing, the sheer sight of him kneeling there—sweat-slicked, broad-shouldered, and focused entirely on me—sent a low thrum of heat straight back down to my gut.

He ran a soft cloth under warm water and began dabbing at the gravel tucked into my skin. His fingers were surprisingly tender, resting against my calf for support.

They were soft against my calf, the low thrum moved to my groin again despite the injuries and the pain.

"Sorry I don't have proper plasters," he muttered, looking up at me through his lashes. “Losing the bike was a proper kick in the teeth. I had to put what little cash I had left toward rent, so a first-aid kit wasn't exactly high on the shopping list."

"It's fine, really," I said understandably, wincing slightly as the water hit the scrape, but holding his gaze. "What do you do for work, Cal?"

"Shift work at a local warehouse," he answered, dabbing gently. "Zero-hours contract, so the money's all over the place. Some weeks I'm pulling forty hours, other weeks I'm struggling to cover the electric meter. What about you? You look like you've got your life together."

I let out a soft laugh, resting my hand on his shoulder as he worked—partly for balance, but mostly just to feel the warm muscle under his skin.

"I work in corporate management," I told him. "Stable hours, decent pay, but... it gets lonely. Long days sitting behind a desk, surrounded by people, but not really connecting with anyone."

Cal paused, his hand remaining steady on my thigh, his thumb making a slow, absentminded stroke against my skin. His blue eyes locked onto mine, suddenly serious.

“Must be nice not having to worry about where your next meal's coming from, though," he said softly, a faint smirk returning to his lips. "Though I reckon a cushy desk job doesn't give you legs like these."

He slid his hand just an inch higher up my thigh, the warmth of his palm burning straight through the thin fabric of my running shorts.

"Trade-offs," I whispered, my breath catching in my throat.

My cock reacted instantly, reaching full peak at the warmth of his hand resting against my thigh. I broke eye contact for a second, glancing down to see if he’d take it any further.

He knew exactly what he was doing. The moment his knuckles brushed deliberately past my erection, a sharp throb went straight through me, and I couldn't stop the small gasp that escaped my throat.

“Cal,” I whispered.

When I looked down, he slowly raised his head to meet my gaze, that familiar smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

“Right, sorry,” he muttered softly, his voice thick with mischief. “I’m supposed to be cleaning you up.”

He finished dabbing at my knee before his eyes drifted up to my left arm, which I was cradling against my ribcage.

"Let me see that," Cal said, setting the cloth aside.

He shifted closer on his knees, his hands reaching up to gently take hold of my forearm and wrist. His touch was warm and unexpectedly light, contrasting sharply with his broad, calloused hands.

?”Can you move your fingers for me?" he asked quietly, his eyes focused on my wrist.

I wiggled them, wincing as a dull throb radiated up toward my elbow. "It hurts, but I can move them."

Cal gently probed with his thumbs, pressing lightly along the muscle and bone. "Doesn't look to be misshapen, and I don't feel any crunching, but it’s already starting to swell up. Hard to tell if it's just a nasty sprain or a hairline crack without an X-ray."

“If it’s still throbbing like this in the morning, we’re hopping on a bus to minor injuries,” Cal said, looking up at me. “Or I’m walking you there myself. But for tonight, we need to get some ice on it—and get you cleaned up.”

The Cyclist. - The story so far. (Including missing chapter and finally a kissing scene)

I was out on a bike ride and stopped at a bridge to have a quick ten-minute rest, grabbing a bite to eat and a drink to get my energy back up. I’d been out for two hours of non-stop cycling.

It was only as I packed up that a young twenty-something came by and took a seat on the bench. He nodded in acknowledgment, but rather than just nodding back, I spoke to him.

“Hi.” I kept it short and sweet, not knowing what else to say. “You alright?” I asked.

Nothing. I wasn't sure whether he’d heard me, but I knew I was loud enough—he was less than three meters away. All I got in response was the familiar sound of a notification chime as he stared down at his phone.

I hooked my backpack over my shoulders and swung a leg over my bike.

“Catch you later,” the lad said.

I nodded and smiled. “See you around.”

I stayed put for a second, my right foot resting on the pedal.

“If you're around sometime, fancy riding together?” I asked.

He looked at me, skeptical at first, then nodded in appreciation. “Sure, could be fun,” he responded.

After he gave me his number and I shot him a quick text, I finally made my way back out for another three hours.

I managed to get home before checking my phone. No messages. Damn, I thought, looking down at my screen. It was pushing seven in the evening, so I made myself a healthy dinner of chicken, salad greens, and lentils.

As I sat down, my phone buzzed.

I picked it up from the table as I began to eat, finding a text from the guy at the bridge.

‘Hey, it's Cal,’ it started. ‘Hope it's ok to text you. Are you cycling tomorrow?’

I responded, letting him know I was heading out on the same route as today, and that if he wanted, he could meet me at the bridge again.

'Great, I'll be there,’ Cal replied.

-

The next day came, and I texted Cal to let him know I was heading out on the bike and would be at the bridge in roughly two hours.

‘Bike got pinched last night, gonna run it instead. I may be late,’ his text came back.

?Not good. I drafted a reply: ‘If you want, we can go running. I can cycle to you and we can run together from yours?’ I hesitated, unsure whether I actually wanted to send it.

Right after deciding against it, my thumb accidentally hit the send button instead of delete. I couldn't take it back.

‘I mean, sure. But how far are you? I'm near Ashley Field Hospital,’ he messaged.

I knew where that was. I pulled on my lycra and packed a backpack with my running gear, food, and water.

I called him up, and the line rang five times before he answered.

“Hello?” he said.

“Hey Cal, I'm near the hospital too, so I'm on my way now. What's the address? I'll be there in about half an hour.”

He gave me his address, mentioning he was eating first but should be ready by the time I arrived.

We said our goodbyes and I set off.

I reached the address. The neighborhood was on the rougher side, but his house was kept in as good shape as it could be.

I knocked on the door. It swung open to reveal him standing there, completely topless.

“Sorry, I guess it didn't take me half an hour like I thought,” I said, a smile breaking out as I took in his lean figure.

My eyes soaked in the sight before me—piercing blue eyes, a smile showing off bright white teeth, a smooth chest with slightly prominent nipples, and further down, under defined abs a trail of dark fur reaching from beneath Cal's navel and straight into the waistband of his underwear that hugged the low v-line of his shorts.

“Sorry I'm early,” I added. “Is there anywhere I can change?”

“I would say pop your bike in the back, but sadly my bike was in the shed when they got in,” he responded. “You can leave it in the house, though. Upstairs maybe, so it's not on show. Bedrooms are up there too if you want to go ahead and change.”

I thanked him as he moved aside, opening the door wider.

I managed to haul my bike upstairs and into a bedroom. Before I could even look around, the smell hit me first—the distinct scent of sweat and musky chlorine. A heat stirred in my gut, and I turned to leave as I felt myself hardening.

I knew I was in his bedroom and didn't want to change in there without his say-so.

I shouted downstairs to ask if the room was okay to use, but before he could answer, I heard him quickly climbing the stairs, telling me to hang fire.

He slipped into the room to do a quick tidy. I heard drawers opening and closing as clutter was tossed inside. Turning slightly, my eyes caught a pair of black boxers on the floor near the laundry basket—freshly worn and stained.

The impure thoughts hit me like a freight train. Images filled my imagination as I waited, my length pressing heavily against my shorts. The smell in the room was intoxicating.

"Erm, you can come in now," he told me, picking up the boxers from the floor and tossing them into the basket. "Sorry about the mess."

He looked down, catching the obvious bulge pressing against the front of my crotch, and smiled before locking eyes with me again.

"I, er... I'll leave you to get changed," he said.

"You can change here too if you want?" I offered, a flicker of hope surging through me as I walked past him and placed my bag on his bed.

-

I reached down for my running shorts and pulled them up over my thighs and eventually rearranging the front through the tight fabric. Cal didn’t rush either; he took his time pulling on a fresh performance tee, the fabric stretching tight over his chest.

He moved close to me and reached for his trainers.

His shorts already on and showing what seems to be a good sized bulge, he bent over to tie his trainers. His shoulder brushed right against my hip and refused to pull away.

“Pace might be a bit quick today," Cal muttered from the floor, glancing up through his dark lashes with that same knowing smirk. "You reckon you can keep up?"

“Try me," I said, my voice dipping lower than intended.

-

We kept side by side as we ran. Twelve miles had gone by, and we were still running strong. Subtle glances were traded between us—each stealing a look when we thought the other wasn't paying attention.

Or so I thought.

“Want to stop here for a moment?” Cal asked between heavy breaths.

We decided it was best to linger there for a while, giving me a chance to soften up a little before making a sprint back to Cal's place.

“Looks like we may have an audience,” I said.

I had assumed he was mostly straight or just playing around with me, but watching him call out to another guy proved he was far wilder than I had bargained for.

-

The cyclist smirked. "Maybe next time, if you're around."

Cal and I exchanged a look, then watched as the guy remounted his bike, pedaled off, and eventually disappeared around the bend.

“Well... that was something," I breathed out.

We both burst out laughing, but before I could process it, Cal took off into a sudden sprint.

?It took me a second to realize he was racing me, but soon I was hot on his heels, slowly closing the distance between us. In those few seconds before I reached him, my focus drifted entirely to his arse and the rhythmic way it moved as he ran—until I took a brutal stumble.

“ARGH!" I cried out, hitting the ground hard. The pain was immediate and intense.

Cal halted instantly, turning on his heel and rushing back to my side.

“You alright?" he asked, checking me over before gently helping me to my feet.

My knee was heavily scratched and bleeding, and a sharp throb was shooting up my arm. Between my limp and the slow walk back, it took us far longer than expected to reach his house—the clock pushing half past eight by the time we finally stepped through the front door.

-

He led me through to the bathroom, switching on a single flickering bulb. The room was small and bare, containing just the essentials: a worn bar of soap, a half-empty bottle of cheap antiseptic, and a couple of mismatched towels hanging from a hook.

“Could you sit on the edge of the tub and I'll take a look at your injuries," Cal said gently.

“Sorry I don't have proper plasters," he muttered, looking up at me through his lashes. “Losing the bike was a proper kick in the teeth. I had to put what little cash I had left toward rent, so a first-aid kit wasn't exactly high on the shopping list."

“It's fine, really," I said understandably, wincing slightly as the water hit the scrape, but holding his gaze. "What do you do for work, Cal?"

“Shift work at a local warehouse," he answered, dabbing gently.

“Trade-offs," I whispered, my breath catching in my throat.

“Let me see that," Cal said, setting the cloth aside.

He shifted closer on his knees, his hands reaching up to gently take hold of my forearm and wrist. His touch was warm and unexpectedly light, contrasting sharply with his broad, calloused hands.

“Can you move your fingers for me?" he asked quietly, his eyes focused on my wrist.

“I'll be fine to get-” I started, but he cut me off.

“Take my bed,” he insisted. “I'm more than happy to take the sofa. Are you hungry?”

“I could definitely do with a bite,” I answered. “Fancy take out? My treat.”

Cal looked at me, a grateful smile before he nodded. We both agreed on pizza with a side of fries each and bottles of soda, and we can't have pizza without the ice cream for dessert. It was set to arrive within the hour.

“We should probably grab a shower before it gets here.” I suggested. Though the smell of Cal was pleasantly inviting to my senses.

We stepped into the shower together under the steaming stream. Taking care not to knock my aching arm, Cal helped rinse down my olive-tanned skin, slowly lathering his hands and washing the sweat and trail grime as he smothered soap across my back, leaving no part of me untouched.

I turned as he continued to lather and smother the entirety of my skin.

Every time his palm slid across my torso, my breath hitched. I leaned back against the wet tile, trapped between the heat of the water and the sheer weight of him standing inches away.

"You've gone quiet," Cal murmured softly. He moved closer, rinsing the soap from my chest, his broad shoulders blocking out the rest of the tiny bathroom.

"Just... trying to keep my head," I admitted, my voice rough.

Cal let out a low, breathless laugh that vibrated against my skin. His eyes, dark in the dim light of the shower, dropped to my lips before snapping back to mine.

"Who says you have to?" he whispered.

That was all it took. The restraint I’d been clinging to all evening snapped completely. I reached out with my good arm, my hand catching the back of his wet neck, and pulled him toward me.

The kiss was desperate, wet, and heavy with everything we’d been holding back since I stepped through his front door. Cal gasped into my mouth, his arms instantly wrapping tight around my waist, pulling my body flush against his. The taste of him, mixed with the warm spray of the shower, was completely intoxicating. His tongue met mine, hard and uninhibited, and for a few fleeting seconds, the pain in my arm and knee vanished entirely.

But just as fast as the spark caught fire, a sudden cold wave of reality hit me.

‘He's twenty-six. He's struggling to pay his bills. I'm his forty-year-old guest with a battered body and a wallet full of corporate money.’

The sheer power dynamic and the sudden realization of how far we'd just pushed past the line made my pulse spike with instant panic.

I pulled back abruptly, my hand slipping from his neck. Our lips parted with a wet, heavy sound.

Both of us were breathing heavily, water streaming down our faces, staring at each other through the rising steam. Cal looked completely stunned, his blue eyes wide, his chest heaving as his hands lingered uncertainly on my hips.

"I... I shouldn't have done that,” I stammered, my voice trailing off into the quiet hum of the running water. “Fuck, Cal... I’m sorry. I shouldn't have.”

"Matt, I'm not-” he started. He gazed absently, then started again. “I'm not gay.”

He remained in the shower, washing himself as I got dressed in only the pair of my lycra shorts I arrived in in the bedroom and headed downstairs.

-

The air between us now thick, heavy of awkwardness as we sat on the sofa. Cal on one end, myself on the other. The silence of the room dragged for what seemed like hours.

The doorbell rang, making me jump slightly. Cal shot up. He was dressed in just a pair of sweatpants that rode low on his hips, accentuating his V-lines. The grey fabric left nothing to the imagination, straining against a heavy, semi-erect outline that looked almost eager to escape.

My eyes tracked him as he walked past, hopelessly drawn to the view. His backside and the undeniable strain against his sweatpants were so close to my face I could almost taste him.

Cal grabbed the food, came back into the room, and handed me my share.

"Thanks.”

The word shattered the silence—the first thing either of us had spoken in what felt like a long half hour.

Cal flicked the TV on, leaving some film playing in the background that neither of us was actually watching. My mind was racing, completely consumed by the predicament with Cal and this overwhelming, desperate need I had for him. Cal sat staring blankly at the screen, likely completely lost on what to say after what had just happened in the bathroom.

I couldn't blame him. He’d confirmed what I’d assumed from the start—he wasn't gay. He was straight.

'Except straight guys don't look like that in sweatpants after a kiss,’ my brain fired back uselessly.

We ate in complete, agonizing silence. The only sounds in the room were the rustle of greaseproof paper, the soft fizz of the soda bottles, and the ambient noise of the movie playing to an empty room.

Neither of us touched the ice cream, leaving them to melt slightly.

As soon as the last slice was gone, Cal stood up, stacking the empty pizza boxes with quick, mechanical efficiency.

“I’ll... toss these in the bin,” he said quietly, avoiding my gaze as he headed toward the kitchen.

“I can help—”

“It's fine. Stay put. You’ve got a bad arm,” he cut in, his voice soft, but firm enough to leave no room for argument.

When he came back into the room, he was carrying a spare duvet and a somewhat flat pillow from the hall closet. He dropped them onto the far end of the sofa, keeping his back turned as he smoothed out the blanket.

“The bedroom's ready for you, you know where the bathroom is if you need it through the night ” Cal said, gesturing vaguely toward the stairs.

I stood up, my body aching in three different places at once—my knee, my arm, and the heavy, unfulfilled knot sitting right in the pit of my stomach.

“Thanks. For... everything. Cleaning me up and all.”

He finally looked up, his blue eyes guarded, but a faint, tired softness flickered across his face. “Don’t worry about it. Get some rest.”

I made my way upstairs in the dim light. Cal’s bedroom was small, but stepping into it felt like walking back into a wall of heat. The distinct smell of him—sweat, cheap laundry detergent, and that faint hint of chlorine—was embedded in the room.

I remained dressed in my lycra pants, carefully slid under his duvet, and rested my head against his pillow. The fabric was soft, holding the residual warmth of his room.

Downstairs, I heard the faint clatter of the TV being switched off, followed by the soft creak of the sofa springs as Cal settled in for the night.

I lay there in the dark, staring up at the shadows on the ceiling, cradling my swollen wrist against my chest. Every time I closed my eyes, all I could feel was the hot spray of the shower, the weight of his hands on my skin, and the taste of him still lingering on my lips.

Every thought, every feel and scent hit me in one go and my cock woke up within seconds. I lay beneath the duvet, uncomfortable as my hardened rod fought for freedom beneath my shorts.

The house went quiet, but my mind refused to shut off.

Downstairs, the faint creak of the sofa springs settled into silence, signaling that Cal was asleep. Upstairs, I was completely surrounded by him. Every time I shifted under the duvet, a fresh wave of his scent drifted up from the pillow—that intoxicating mix of sweat, musky chlorine, and cheap detergent.

I told myself to lie still. I told myself to close my eyes, go to sleep, and let the morning bring some sense back into my head. He’d said it plain as day: “I’m not gay.” I needed to respect that. I needed to be the forty-year-old adult in the room.

But as I lay there in the dark, the image of him standing by the coffee table burnt itself into the back of my eyelids. The low-slung sweatpants, his V-lines, the heavy, eager outline straining against the thin grey fabric—and the taste of his mouth under the hot shower stream.

My body completely betrayed my resolve. Before I could stop myself, a low throb hit my gut, and my length swelled hard and heavy against my boxers, aching for a release that the shower had cut short.

Don't do it, Matt. Not in his house. Not in his bed.

I bit down on my lower lip, fighting a losing battle against my own impulses. I tried to focus on the dull ache in my swollen wrist, anything to ground myself, but my hand was already moving on its own. Reaching down beneath the duvet, my fingers slid past the waistband of my boxers, gripping my own length.

A quiet gasp escaped my throat as my palm made full contact. It felt maddeningly hot.

I pulled the edge of Cal's pillow closer to my face, burying my nose in the soft fabric and inhaling deeply. The scent of him acted like gasoline on a fire. My strokes grew faster, slick with heat, my hips lifting slightly off the mattress as the quiet darkness of the bedroom amplified every touch.

I kept one eye trained on the cracked bedroom door, terrified of making a sound, listening through the floorboards for any sign of movement downstairs. The thrill of being in his bed, taking in his scent while holding my breath, pushed me over the edge in record time.

My grip tightened, my breath catching in my chest as a fierce, sudden burst of pleasure crashed through me. I squeezed my eyes shut, muffling a low groan into Cal's pillow as my body shuddered, spilling hot against my stomach and the waistband of my shorts. My release eventually dripping onto Cal's bed beneath me.

"Fuck," I whispered. "That was intense."

I lay there completely breathless in the afterglow, my heart hammering against my ribs, staring up at the shadows on the ceiling with a heavy mix of utter satisfaction and burning guilt.

Telford

The quiet of the house felt twice as loud now. I reached into my bag on the floor for a wipe, carefully cleaning myself up in the dark while protecting my aching wrist. Every small movement was a reminder of the emotional and physical tangle I’d managed to walk into in less than twenty-four hours.

Eventually, exhaustion took over, pulling me into a restless sleep filled with disjointed images of running trails, steam-fogged tiles, and dark blue eyes watching me with that maddening, unreadable smirk.

When I woke the next morning, pale sunlight was filtering through the thin curtains. My wrist had turned a mottled shade of purple and radiated with a steady heat, while my knee felt stiff and raw beneath the fabric of my shorts. I sat up carefully, swung my legs over the side of the bed, and took a deep breath to steady myself before heading downstairs.

Cal was already up. He was sitting at the small kitchen table in a worn performance tee, staring into a steaming mug of instant coffee. The duvet from the sofa was neatly folded on the armrest nearby.

He looked up as my foot creaked on the bottom step. For a fraction of a second, his expression was completely guarded, but then a small, cautious smile broke through.

“Morning,” he said softly. “How’s the arm?”

“Feels like a proper wreck, to be honest,” I admitted with a faint, dry laugh, cradling my forearm against my ribcage. “Knee’s not too happy either.”

Cal stood up, walking over to the kettle. “Sit down. I’ll make you a coffee, then we’re walking down to the minor injuries clinic down the road. No arguments.”

I took a seat at the table, watching him as he worked. The electric charge from yesterday was still humming beneath the surface, but the sharp panic from the shower had settled into a quieter, mutual awareness.

He set a fresh mug down in front of me. His fingers brushed against mine as he let go of the handle, and this time, neither of us flinched away.

“Cal… about last night—” I started quietly.

?He held up a hand, letting out a low sigh as he pulled out the chair across from me.

“Matt, you don’t need to apologize,” he said, looking straight at me. “I know I was sending mixed signals all day, and I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I wasn’t playing into it.” He paused, tracing the rim of his mug with a thumb. “I’m still figuring things out—what I like, what labels fit, if any. I said what I said in the shower because I got spooked, but I don’t regret meeting you at the bridge.”

The heavy knot sitting in the pit of my stomach finally unraveled.

“Neither do I, Cal,” I said, offering him a genuine smile before taking a sip of the coffee. “Even with the battered wrist.”

Cal smirked, the familiar, mischievous spark returning to his eyes as he leaned back in his chair. “Good. Because once that arm heals up and I sort out a new pair of wheels, you still owe me that full ride.”

-

We sat whilst we swallowed the morning coffee and spoke about the day ahead, what plans we would have been doing if it wasn't for the hospital visit.

Cal was off to work for a later shift after calling up and rescheduling, making something up so he could help me whilst I had absolutely nothing planned other than house chores and tend the garden.

“Looks like your s get a day of reprieve,” Cal said, setting his empty mug into the sink with a quiet clatter. He turned around, leaning his back against the counter and looking down at my bandaged hand. “And you’re definitely not pushing a lawnmower with that wrist anyway.”

“I suppose the garden can wait,” I agreed, taking the last slow sip of my coffee. The heat from the mug was soothing against my good hand, though every tiny movement of my left arm still sent a sharp, dull ache through my wrist. “Though I still feel guilty making you push back a shift for this. Zero-hours contracts aren't exactly forgiving.”

Cal waved off the concern, though a brief flicker of worry crossed his face before he smoothed it over with a light shrug.

“Told ’em I had a domestic emergency to sort out first thing. They’ll live. Besides, you can barely tie your own shoes right now—someone’s got to make sure you actually make it through the minor injuries doors without tripping over another trail.” He then said.

He offered a quick, dry smile, stepping closer to grab my empty mug from the table. As he reached past me, the faint scent of his soap drifted over, clean and sharp in the morning air.

“Come on then,” Cal said, gesturing toward the front door. “Let’s go get that wrist sorted so you can get back to your thrilling schedule of house chores.”

I pushed myself up from the chair, carefully cradling my bad arm against my ribs. “Lead the way.”

-

The hospital visit was mostly uneventful, though my eyes never really left Cal who had to use the bathroom. After coming back flustered, I gave him a knowing smile.

He sat next to me across from a woman with her child who had to see a nurse.

“Did you just-” I questioned.

Silence filled the waiting room but only for a short moment. The young child's name was called and both the child and their parent arose and walked through to the nurse.

“I mean, guilty,” he eventually replied. “I usually have a late night tug but you were around and it was, well… after what happened, it wasn't the right time I guess.”

I couldn't help but give a slight chuckle at his response. I got to hand it to him, he was brave. But I was getting turned on knowing that he had just tugged in the hospital toilet.

‘Stop thinking about it, I'm going to be called any minute,’ my mind driving it to me as my cock started to pulse.

Telford

The nurse finished wrapping my wrist in a firm support bandage, giving me the usual rundown of rest, ice, and pain meds. I nodded along, but my focus was completely scattered. The lingering image of Cal coming back flustered from the hospital toilet—coupled with the heavy, undeniable bulge straining against my own shorts—made my blood run hot.

I carefully pulled my sleeve back down, adjusting the fabric so the prominent ridge in my shorts wasn't completely obvious as we stood up to leave.

"I'm glad it was just a sprain,” Cal said softly as we pushed through the double doors into the fresh air. His tone was surprisingly tender, his eyes sweeping over me with genuine concern. “With a fall like that, I was sure you’d broken something.”

"Me too,” I admitted, cradling my arm. “Guess I got lucky.”

"I’ll bring your bike back to your place later on after my shift, if you're happy with that?” Cal offered, sliding his hands into his pockets.

I looked over at him, catching the subtle, unresolved heat still lingering in his blue eyes.

"Actually, Cal,” I said, stopping on the pavement. “Come back with me now. I’ve got a spare road bike sitting in the garage taking up space. You can borrow it so you’re not stuck walking to work—and so we can get back out on the road together.”

Cal blinked, caught completely off guard. A sudden flicker of pride and hesitation crossed his face as he processed the gesture, but before he could protest, I turned to lead the way back to my place.

-

“Well, this is me-” I said as we arrived outside. “Feel free to make yourself at home.”

I opened the gate to the complex and motioned him inside, pushing the heavy doors to reveal the modern, sleek interior.

“I—” Cal started, completely lost for words as he stepped inside, taking a long moment to absorb the clean, open space around him. “Do you even do chores around here? This place is spotless!”

“Can't hurt to give it a quick once-over. I like to keep things... just to my liking,” I replied cheekily, a smirk tugging at my lips. “If you know what I mean.”

“I can see that, man,” Cal acknowledged, letting out a low breath as he looked around.

A slight stir in Cal's front tells him exactly what I meant.

I gave Cal a quick tour around the two-storey house, pointing out the kitchen, the open-plan lounge, and the somewhat overgrown garden out back, before showing him the main bathroom upstairs.

Finally, I led him down into the garage where my spare bikes were stored. I gestured toward the wall rack, letting him take in the collection.

“I know they're not quite up to par with the bike I left at yours, but please—pick whichever one you like and borrow it,” I offered. “Call it a thank you for dressing my injuries and helping me out.”

Cal looked at me, then back at the bikes, looking genuinely stunned. “Matt, I can't. This is way too much.”

“It’ll save you from walking or running to work,” I pressed gently. “Especially with the shifts you’re pulling at the warehouse.”

Cal stared at the rows of polished frames, stepping forward to run a thumb over the handlebar grip of a sleek road bike. The hesitation on his face slowly gave way to sheer relief.

“You’re relentless, you know that?” Cal said, a faint, genuine laugh escaping him as he looked up, his blue eyes softening. “I... look, thank you, Matt. Seriously. This saves my skin for my shift tonight.”

I closed the distance between us. “Is this the one you want?” I asked, sliding my uninjured hand gently onto the small of his lower back.

?Cal flinched slightly at the sudden touch, but he didn't pull away. “Yeah... are you sure about this?”

I held his gaze and nodded.

“I don't have anything to pay you back for this,” Cal finally muttered, looking slightly defeated while I remained standing close.

“It's fine,” I reassured him. “They're just gathering dust down here anyway.”

I helped Cal adjust the seat and handle height to his liking. Before sending him on his way, we went back upstairs and whipped up a quick bite to eat together.

“I owe you,” Cal said with a slow wink and a smile at the front door, before pushing the bike down the drive and riding off toward home to get ready for his shift.

Telford

The morning after, I woke to find a screen full of messages. Only one actually mattered, a message from Cal.

‘Morning, can we talk?’

My heart skipped a beat, a sudden mix of intrigue and nerves spiked in my chest.

It was barely seven-thirty AM. I immediately dialed his number, listening to it ring through to his voice mail. As I hung up, I caught myself about to press redial before remembering he'd worked the late shift at the warehouse last night—he was probably still fast asleep.

I decided on a text message instead, carefully drafting a reply that wouldn't make him feel pressured

‘Hey, just saw your text and tried calling! Hope everything's alright. I'm around whenever you're free to chat—no rush, just give me a call back or text me when you wake up.’

It was only after I set the phone back down onto the bed side table that I pulled back the covers, realising I was already half thick and eager for a release.

My hand pressed into the bulging material of my boxers slowly feeling each prominent vein, each pulse as I began to lightly stroke the length of my hardening length, letting out a quiet breath into the still morning air.

I hooked a thumb over the waistband and pulled it down, releasing my shaft - a solid seven inches now standing to attention in the morning light that crept through the blinds of the bedroom.

Wrapping my fingers round the base of the shaft, I pulled the foreskin back, exposing the sensitive, deep-purple head that had been hidden behind me.

Gathering a slick pool of saliva in my palm, I lubricated the length of my shaft. I took my time with it, letting myself get lost in the physical sensation as I slowly worked toward a deep, heavy morning release.

With every slow stroke, my mind replayed the kiss in the shower—the sight of Cal’s body, his heavy front, and the curve of his back. The eventual eruption was intense, almost on par with the mess I'd made back at his place.

The moment I finished, my phone buzzed against the nightstand, Cal’s name flashing across the screen. My heart hammered against my ribs. I snatched it up and swiped to accept, hitting the speaker button as I collapsed back against the pillows.

“Hiya Matt,” Cal’s voice rasped through the speaker. “Sorry about the text... d'you mind if I come round?”

Still completely out of breath, my pulse racing as I hastily wiped my hand clean, I forced out a reply. “Yeah—” I breathed, hating how thick and uneven my voice sounded. “Anytime you want. I was just, er...” I paused for a couple of seconds, clearing my throat, “...cleaning up.”

“Great,” Cal said, a brief, heavy beat of silence hanging between us over the line. “Be round in fifteen minutes”

-

The call ended. Once I’d sorted myself out and thrown on some clean clothes, I hurried outside to unlock the gate for Cal. Back inside the house, I fired up the coffee machine and started pulling two shots of espresso, waiting for the sound of his bike coming up the drive.

Cal arrived, leaning the bike up against the wall out on the drive. He was dressed casually, but the fit was devastating: a snug vest clung to his broad chest, riding up just enough to reveal a trail of dark hair tracing down his stomach. The line grew visibly thicker as it neared his waistband, disappearing into the low-slung grey sweatpants and exposing the very top of his dark bush.

‘Is he even wearing underwear?’ I thought, taking him in from head to toe as he stepped inside.

His scent hit me instantly—an intoxicating mix of faint, lingering sweat from his night shift cut through by fresh soap from a morning shower.

“I, err. Fuck-” I started. “Come in, there's a coffee waiting for us.”

-

I handed Cal one of the espresso cups, the rich aroma drifting up between us as we moved into the lounge. He sat down on the edge of the sofa, holding the warm mug in both hands. He stared out toward the garden for a second, swirling the dark liquid, before running a heavy palm down his face.

“Look, Matt... about the other day,” Cal began, his voice dropping into a quiet, raspy register. “And what happened in the shower.”

I leaned back against the armrest whilst facing him, giving him space, though my heart was already thumping against my ribs. “I’m listening.”

“When I said I wasn’t gay... I meant it,” Cal paused, staring down into his cup, his jaw clenching as he tried to find the words. He let out a long, heavy breath. “Look, I’m straight, Matt. I’ve only ever been with women. That’s just who I am. But ever since that afternoon... I haven't been able to get you out of my head.”

The feeling of being punched in the gut struck hard, I looked away for just a short moment and turned to face him again. Braving what he was to say next. I saw he wasn't looking then he looked up.

Those striking blue eyes locking onto mine, raw and visibly frustrated with himself.

“It’s driving me mad,” Cal admitted softly. “When you kissed me... it threw me completely. It felt incredible, and that’s what’s messing with me. I spent the whole time since then, even through my shift at work last night running it over in my head, trying to force myself to just move on and forget about it. But I can't. I'm straight, but I'm losing my mind struggling with how I feel around you right now.”

He set the espresso cup down on the coffee table with a soft clink, his hands resting flat on his thighs—stretching the thin grey fabric tight over his lap as he looked back up at me.

“I don't even know what I'm doing coming over here like this... I just couldn't keep lying to myself that nothing happened.”

I moved closer to him, taking each word in and watching the internal battle raging behind his eyes.

“Cal-” I places my hand gently on hi,, “It's ok to be confused about this, and I'm sorry for putting you-”

But I was cut off before I could finish.

Before I could finish, Cal leaned in suddenly, crushing his lips against mine. A gasp died in my throat, and I recoiled slightly, completely blindsided by the impact. It wasn’t a gentle, welcoming kiss; it was a desperate, messy collision, as if he were trying to push all his anger and confusion into me. He didn’t wait for my lips to part, his stubble grating sharply against my jaw as his hands gripped my arms, holding me steady while my mind scrambled to process what was happening.

Telford

I pulled back, my mouth resting slightly open in utter surprise. Had he acted out of anger? Confusion? Both? I couldn't be sure, but damn—I wanted to kiss him again.

“I’m sorry,” Cal blurted out, pulling back with a look of sheer panic. “I... I don’t know what came over me.”

“Just give me a little warning next time,” I joked, letting out a soft, breathy laugh to cut through the tension.

I reached out and took him in close, locking onto his eyes as I readied myself to kiss him again.

“Are you sure you want this?” I asked calmly, keeping my voice low.

He nodded, a ragged breath escaping his chest, “I need to sort my inner fight somehow.”

I slid my hand around to the back of his neck, my fingers tangling in the hair at his nape as I pulled him in. Our lips brushed slightly at first- a gentle, testing touch- before parting mine wider, inviting him in and welcoming the hot slide of his tongue against my own.

Even though I had released only moments before he arrived, my cock ached and pulsed again, eager for more .

With our lips locked into each other, I felt his hand move to my waist, lightly grabbing the hem of my shirt and pulling it over my head exposing my sculpted stomach.

Cal's other hand wandered onto my thigh and he suddenly broke the kiss, his blue eyes meeting mine, “Can I?”

I smiled and nodded.

His hand crept its way closer to the obvious bulge straining against my shorts- the fabric already darkening where I'd started to leak. A shudder ran through me as Cal brushed up my thigh and slid his palm straight into the leg of my shorts.

“Cal-” I gasped shakily, losing my train of thought.

I eagerly pulled him back into me, tasting his tongue again as our mouths clashed, each fighting for the upper hand. A low groan caught my throat with every brush of his fingers, every heavy touch, and every stroke he made against my bare skin.

He was winning, and I was more than happy to lose. I’d completely let go, leaning back and giving him full permission to explore. He was in control now, but as his grip tightened on my hip, his touch turned firmer, almost aggressive—not to hurt me, but because he was trying desperately to keep a handle on a situation that was spiraling out of his control.

I couldn't read his mind, but I could read the war being waged on his face: the hard set of his jaw, the harsh, ragged breaths catching in his chest, the sheer desperation in the way he pulled me closer. He was acting like a man trying to prove something to himself, grounding himself in the physical heat of my body just to stop his mind from spinning.

Every time I arched into his palm or let out a low groan, I felt his hand twitch against my thigh—a brief, telltale hesitation. He thought he was taking control of me, but standing this close, I could feel the truth: he was just wrestling with himself with every single touch.

"Cal..." I breathed out again, letting my head fall back as his palm shifted…

I let my head fall back against the cushion, giving in entirely.

His fingers hooked into the soft waistband of my shorts, tugging them down past my hips in one rough, deliberate motion. He was done hesitating.

A sharp, collective gasp caught in both our throats as his bare palm wrapped directly around my leaking length. The shock of his warm, calloused skin against mine hit like an electric charge, sending a jolt straight down my spine. My hips bucked upward on instinct, a helpless groan tearing from my chest.

Cal didn't pull away. If anything, the feeling of me reacting so completely to his touch seemed to ground him. His grip tightened, his thumb sliding over the slick tip, spreading the moisture down my shaft as he established a heavy, steady stroke.

He stared down at where his hand was working me, his chest heaving, those blue eyes wide with a mix of awe and sheer desperation. He was trying to rationalize it, trying to stay in control, but with every stroke, the boundary he’d built around himself was crumbling.

“Matt...” he breathed out, his voice a cracked, husky whisper as he increased the rhythm.

He stopped trying to fight it. The hesitance in his hand dissolved, replaced by a heavy, unhurried stroke that was punishingly good. His knee slid between my thighs, shifting his weight forward until he was hovering over me on the sofa, his massive frame burying me into the cushions.

As he pressed down, I felt it—the hard, rigid strain of his own cock locked behind the denim of his jeans, crushed hot and heavy against my hip.

A ragged gasp tore from his throat. He dropped his forehead against my collarbone, his body trembling with the sheer weight of what he was feeling.

“Touch me,” he rasped into my skin, his grip on my shaft tightening just enough to make my hips twitch helplessly. “Matt, please... touch me.”

I didn't wait. My hand slid down his side, my fingers hooking into the waistband of his jeans to pull him closer, feeling the fierce, erratic pounding of his heart against my chest.

“Just need to be careful of this wrist though,” Matt instructed softly, guiding his weight slightly. “Still a bit tender from that fall.”

We both let out a low, breathy laugh, the minor interruption breaking the tension for just a moment before the heat swallowed us right back up.

I held Cal close, wrapping my injured hand around his shoulder, trying to take care with my movements while his head stayed pressed against my collarbone, his hot breath washing over my bare skin. I could feel every heavy, erratic beat of his heart against my chest

They both laughed it off and continued the heat between them.

“Fuck,” Cal whispered, completely breathless, his voice vibrating right against my collarbone. My uninjured hand slid down his torso, tracing the line of his ribs to grab a firm hold of his backside—finally getting to touch what I’d been craving for two days.

In response, Cal lifted his torso slightly, pressing his weight forward as he arched his hips down into mine. A helpless groan escaped him as the hard, rigid shape straining behind his jeans ground directly against my bare stomach, hot and heavy against my skin.

The heat of his rigid length grinding against my bare stomach sent a shockwave straight through me, making my hips twitch up to meet his rhythm.

I kept my hand firmly planted on his backside, using the leverage to keep him pinned right where I wanted him. "Let me take these off," I murmured into the quiet space between us, my voice thick and low. "I want to see you, Cal."

For a second, Cal froze, his breath catching in his throat as if testing the idea. But instead of pulling back, he sat back on his heels over my thighs, resting his heavy hands on my shoulders—still asserting his physical dominance, still keeping himself grounded right on top of me. He looked down at me, his chest heaving, silently granting permission with the dark, intense hunger in his eyes.

I took my time. With my uninjured hand, I reached up and hooked my fingers under the hem of his shirt, slowly pulling the fabric up over his stomach, taking in every inch of smooth skin, the subtle flex of his abs, and the heavy rise and fall of his chest. I leaned up, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to his sternum, feeling his core shudder under my lips.

Cal let out a low, shaky exhale, his grip tightening on my shoulders—not pushing me away, but holding me there, anchoring himself to the sensation of my mouth worshipping him.

By the time I unbuttoned his jeans and dragged the heavy denim down his legs, he wasn't just letting me touch him—he was letting himself be idolized. Every slow drag of my hands, every soft kiss against his bare skin was a reminder that even while I served him, he was the one holding all the power.

He wasn't just letting me touch him—he was completely consumed by it, holding every bit of control over me even as I adored him.

“I... want... no, need... you, Cal—” I managed to get out between worshipping every inch of his torso with my lips, taking extra time over his now steel-like, erect nipples.

Every flick of my tongue and drag of my lips drew a ragged gasp from his chest. Cal let out a low, shaky exhale, his grip tightening on my shoulders—his fingers digging into my skin as he pushed his chest slightly into my mouth, taking full command of where my lips were worshipping him.

Cal let out a low, shaky exhale, his grip tightening on my shoulders—his fingers digging into my skin as he pushed his chest slightly into my mouth, taking full command of where my lips were worshipping him.

But as my tongue dragged over his chest again, a harsh gasp snapped through him. Cal reached down, his large palm cupping my jaw and tilting my head up to break the contact.

"Not here," Cal rasped, his voice a low, commanding rumble that sent an instant shiver down my spine. "Bedroom. Now."

He didn't wait for a response. He stood, pulling me up off the sofa with him, his hand locked tight around my wrist—mindful of my injured arm, but taking absolute charge. I followed without hesitation, my bare feet silent against the polished flooring as he led me past the sharp glass partitions and down the sunlit corridor toward my suite.

The sharp nine o'clock morning sun was already pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows, washing the low-profile platform bed and sleek room in bright, uncompromising light. The second we cleared the doorway, Cal turned and guided me back until the edge of the mattress caught the back of my legs. His hands rested heavy on my shoulders, his chest heaving, his bare frame bathed in the warm morning glare.

There was nowhere to hide in this light, and he knew it. He didn't have to say a word. I sank down onto my knees on the floor in front of him, looking up at his towering build.

Standing over me in the middle of my own sunlit room, Cal looked down at me resting at his feet—completely in control of what happened next.

Telford

I could feel the electricity between us rise as I looked up into Cal's eyes, submitting myself completely to him.

I reached out with my uninjured hand, my fingers caressing the heat of his thighs before sliding around to cup the sculpted glutes at the base of his muscled back. I pulled him a fraction closer, resting my cheek lightly against his bare hip, letting him feel the steady, helpless rise and fall of my breathing as I waited for his next move.

He continued to look down at me, smiling in a masterful way, his fingers roughing through my hair as he held me close, keeping my head anchored right where he wanted it. The heat of his penis brushed against my cheek, and the sudden, electric pulse of pleasure made my own length twitch and leak, leaving a small drop of precum on the slick floor beneath me.

The morning sun hitting his body framed him like a god towering above me, every flex of muscle highlighted in the sharp daylight. I was entirely at his mercy, willing to do absolutely anything for this man.

“Open,” Cal ordered.

My mouth opened without a second thought.

“Good.”

The tip of his hardened length brushed my cheek once more before guiding itself past my lips and onto my waiting tongue. I wrapped my lips around him, catching the salty hint of his pre-cum, a muffled moan escaping the back of my throat as I relished the taste.

“Not so quick,” Cal said, his authoritative tone echoing in my ears as his fingers tightened in my hair, holding me perfectly still.

“Please Cal, do what you want with me. I'm yours.” I said, taking a breath between pulling him into me.

Cal's speed picked up slightly, holding the back of my head now with both hands. “Fuck Matt, you suck great. Keep going.”

I moaned more hearing that I was now satisfying him.

“Right now-,” cal started, “I don't care who's mouth I'm fucking. You're going to taste what I'm going to give.”

That hit harder for me, the impulse of holding back was harder than ever and I couldn't fight it anymore, my cock erupted, leaving droplets on the floor beneath us, majority of the eruption landed on Cal's feet.

“Damn, clean me up,” Cal demanded, pushing my head down to his feet.

I didn't hesitate for a fraction of a second. Guided by his hand in my hair, I leaned down until my lips were right at his ankles. The cold polish of the floor pressed against my knees, a sharp contrast to the heat radiating off Cal’s skin.

"Yes, Cal," I murmured against his skin, my voice a thick, ruined whisper.

I started at the base of his toes, tracing my tongue over the top of his foot to lap up the hot, slick evidence of how completely he had unraveled me. Every slow, deliberate lick was an act of surrender. I took my time, cleaning every drop from his skin with careful devotion, letting him feel the warm, steady drag of my tongue while looking up at him through my eyelashes.

Above me, Cal’s heavy, impressive frame stood unyielding in the sharp daylight—his solid eight-inch length still hardened and slick, threatening to erupt right over me while I lapped my own release from his skin. Against his towering presence, my own six-and-a-half inches felt completely spent and subordinate, resting soft against my thighs on the cold floor.

Cal stayed completely still, his chest rising and falling in heavy, ragged breaths as his free hand wrapped around his thick shaft, stroking himself in slow, heavy tugs while I continued.

When the last of my release was gone from his skin, I pressed a soft, lingering kiss to the arch of his foot before looking back up into his eyes, my mouth still wet, waiting on my knees for his next command.

Telford

Above me, Cal’s chest heaved in ragged, heavy pulses. His knuckles were white where he gripped his own eight-inch length, his blue eyes dark, blown out, and entirely devoid of hesitation now. The sight of me at his feet—submissive, covered in my own arousal, kissing his skin—had completely wiped away whatever internal fight he’d brought through my front door.

“Up,” Cal ordered, his voice low, gravelly, and tight with restraint.

I didn't hesitate. I panted softly as I dragged myself up off the cold floor, shifting higher onto my knees until I was level with his waist. Before I could settle, Cal’s free hand shot out, his thick fingers tangling into my hair and catching the back of my head in a firm, unyielding grip.

He pulled me flush against his hip, the heat radiating off his hard, slick length pressing right against my mouth. He paused for one torturous beat, letting me feel the heavy, frantic pulse of his heartbeat vibrating against my lips.

“Take it all.”

Before I could even part my lips to welcome him, Cal took complete control. He drove his full eight inches past my teeth in one heavy, deliberate thrust, seating himself deep into the back of my throat.

A sharp, involuntary gag ripped from my chest at the sudden intrusion. Tears pricked the corners of my eyes, but Cal gave me no room to adjust. He pulled back just an inch before driving back in, establishing a relentless, punishing rhythm—holding my head fixed in place as he used my mouth to push himself over the brink.

A guttural growl broke from his chest. “Argh... fuck...”

His body went rigid above me, his fingers digging fiercely into my scalp as a sudden, powerful eruption of thick, salty heat flooded the back of my throat.

“That... was—” Cal shuddered uncontrollably, gasping out the words as he rode out his climax while pinning me to him, “—amazing.”

I swallowed desperately around his length, taking in every heavy pulse he gave me, letting out a muffled moan into his skin. When he finally loosened his grip and pulled back, my head fell forward against his thigh, a lingering strand of his release trailing down my chin as we both breathed heavily in the quiet room.

-

The quiet room held only the heavy, synchronized rhythm of our breathing. My jaw ached dull and sweet, and my mouth tasted of a mix of me and Cal, but I didn't move from between his thighs. I just rested my forehead against the front of his hip, letting the steady pulse of his cooling skin ground me.

Cal’s hand, still buried in my hair, softened. His thick fingers ran through the strands in a slow, aimless pattern, the harshness from moments ago completely evaporating into the warm morning air.

"Fuck," he breathed out softly, staring up at the ceiling. "Matt... look at me."

I tilted my head back, looking up from my knees. In the sharp daylight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows, there was nowhere for either of us to hide. His eight-inch length was softening now against his lowering sack, slick and spent, while my own six-and-a-half inches rested heavy and still pointing up and out from my pelvis. Both of us were completely bare, exposed to the room and to each other.

Instead of pulling away or grabbing his clothes to cover up, Cal reached down and took my uninjured hand, gently pulling me up off the floor.

"Come on," he murmured.

We moved together toward the edge of the low platform bed. Sitting side-by-side on the mattress, our bare shoulders brushed with every breath. Cal leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his broad back flexing as he stared down at his own calloused hands.

“I’ve spent my whole life with a set idea of how my future looks," Cal began, his voice dropping into a low, raspy cadence that felt terrifyingly honest. "Women, a family, a straight-line path. It’s what I know. It’s what feels safe. It's what my father has been expecting of me since I was eighteen."

He turned his head to look at me, those dark blue eyes searching my face, completely unabashed by his own nakedness or mine.

“But when I'm at work, or sitting at home... it's not a woman I'm thinking about anymore. It's you," he admitted, a frustrated, breathless laugh escaping his chest. "I tried to tell myself today was just about getting it out of my system. That if I came over here and took control, I could prove to myself it was just an itch to scratch. But holding you... feeling how completely you gave yourself up to me..."

He reached across the small space between us, his large palm cupping the back of my neck and drawing it in until our foreheads pressed together.

"I now realise that it’s not just an itch," he whispered, his warm breath fanning across my lips. "Matt, I don't know what label fits me, and I'm still scared as hell of what this means. But I know what I want right now. I want—” Cal paused, not knowing if he could say it.

I remained still, watching him, looking into his eyes.

“I want you,” he finally accepted, looking down. A soft, flirtatious laugh broke from his chest. “And it looks like you need to sort yourself out again.”

"Get out," Matt joked, leaning in to press a lingering kiss to Cal's lips.

Cal smiled against the kiss, scooping up his clothes as he stood from the bed. "See you downstairs in thirty seconds," he said, winking toward Matt before disappearing down the corridor.

Telford

The crisp morning air of the day after bit at my skin as I stood beside the driver’s side door of my Audi, parked just down the street from Cal's house near Ashley Field Hospital. The neighborhood was quiet, bathed in the soft grey light of dawn.

Reaching over with my right hand, I unclipped the fasteners on the compression wrap around my left wrist. Slowly, carefully, I unwound the tight layers, feeling the steady release of pressure over the joint. I gave my fingers a tentative flex—the swelling had gone down since Cal probed it in the bathroom over the weekend, but a dull, lingering throb remained.

I neatly rolled up the bandage, tossed it out of sight onto the backseat, and pulled down the sleeve of my button-down to button the cuff. As a Senior Logistics Manager, I needed to look sharp for a day of high-level strategy at my desk downtown, even if my body carried the quiet history of our runs together.

The front door of the house clicked open, and Cal stepped out onto the porch.

Seeing him in his own element was striking.

Dressed in dark work trousers, hanging below the rim of his clean orange boxers, with his high-vis vest slung pushed through one of the belt loops on his side, heavy steel-toed boots, a plain white tee that hugged tightly making his pecs stand out, he looked every bit the Warehouse Supervisor.

He locked up, hoisted a heavy canvas duffel over his broad shoulder, and walked down the path with his usual grounded stride.

A subtle bulge was noticeable in those dark trousers. I stared for a moment, licking my lips, before he noticed.

As he reached the passenger side, his piercing blue eyes immediately dropped to my bare left wrist, then drifted up to meet my gaze.

"Hey, the wrap’s gone, feeling better?" he asked, his voice low and gravelly in the still morning air as he tossed his duffel onto the floorboards.

“Much," I replied, offering a quiet, genuine smile as he climbed into the passenger seat, his broad frame instantly filling out the cabin.

I rounded the hood, pulled myself behind the wheel, and shifted into gear. The car pulled smoothly away from the curb, heading toward the highway.

-

The five-minute detour off my usual downtown commute passed in a comfortable silence. Every time I shifted gears, my arm occasionally brushed against Cal’s heavy thigh—a subtle, lingering reminder of everything that had passed between us.

As we approached the sprawling industrial complex of Apex Freight, suburban streets gave way to idling eighteen-wheelers, rolling corrugated bay doors, and the rhythmic beep of reversing forklifts.

I idled along the side fence near the employee entrance, tucked out of direct sight from the main loading docks where Cal's crew was already gathering for the morning shift.

"Thanks for the lift, Matt," Cal said softly, turning in his seat. The contrast between us was clear—me in my tailored corporate wear, and Cal raw, rugged, smelling of clean soap and cold air.

Before opening his door, his large hand reached out, wrapping firmly around the back of my neck for a brief, possessive squeeze. His thumb brushed over my jaw, his eyes holding mine for a long, heavy beat.

"I'll text you when my shift ends," he murmured, letting go as he pulled on his high-vis vest and stepped out into the morning chill.

I was left sitting in the car, engine humming quietly.

He brushed my jaw, but didn't kiss me? Is he alright? I'll text him later, I thought.

I watched through the tinted glass as he walked through the gates toward the bay, instantly stepping into his element as his guys turned to greet him. Shifting back into drive to head toward my own office tower downtown, my head was already spinning, knowing I'd have to sit behind a desk all day while thinking about those same hands.

The hands that would soon be holding my head again as he fucks my open, willing throat.

By ten in the morning, the view from my floor-to-ceiling glass office downtown felt less like an accomplishment and more like a high-rise cage.

Spreadsheets detailing container shipments, vendor timelines, and international freight delays covered both monitors, but the numbers were blurring together. Every few minutes, my eyes drifted away from the supply chain reports to the corner of my desk where my phone sat face down on the polished dark wood.

Silence.

My mind kept rewinding to the side fence at Apex Freight. The feeling of Cal’s broad hand wrapping around the back of my neck—the raw, possessive weight of it—and the gentle brush of his thumb against my jaw.

He didn't kiss me. The thought nagged at me, sharp and persistent. Was he just keeping his head in the game because his crew was twenty yards away? Or was he pulling back now that we were out of my house and back in the real world?

I flexed my bare left wrist resting on the desk, feeling the faint, deep throb in the joint. It was a physical anchor straight back to Cal kneeling between my legs in his bathroom, probing the skin with gentle thumbs.

A knock at my office door broke the quiet, and my assistant poked her head in with a stack of quarterly reports. I forced a smooth, authoritative smile—the Senior Logistics Manager performing his role—and took the files, making small talk about afternoon meetings I couldn't care less about.

The second the door clicked shut, I sank back into my leather chair, running a hand over my face.

I picked up my phone, my thumb hovering over his name in my contacts. I wanted to text him—to ask if he was alright, to push the boundary just enough to see where his head was at—but I hesitated. The last thing I wanted was to crowd a guy who was currently managing thirty crew members and heavy machinery on a warehouse floor.

I set the phone back down, leaned back, and stared out over the city skyline, knowing damn well that no amount of corporate strategy was going to get those calloused hands out of my head today.

I closed the door and blinds to my office, pulled my phone from my trousers, and unlocked the screen.

“Hey, thinking of you and what you could be doing to me,” I typed, hitting send.

Sitting behind my desk, I pulled out my flaccid member, playfully teasing myself as I waited for a response. It had gone one in the afternoon, and my cock was now visibly aroused enough for me to stroke it slowly underneath the desktop.

The quiet hum of the air conditioner was the only sound in the room as I kept my eyes locked on the small glass screen resting beside my keyboard. My heart thudded heavily against my ribs, each second feeling stretched thin. Between the risk of anyone walking past the frosted glass of my office door and the slow, deliberate strokes of my hand underneath the dark wood of the desk, every nerve ending in my body felt completely raw.

My phone buzzed.

The screen lit up, the sudden vibration on the desk making me jump slightly. I picked up the phone with a trembling hand and unlocked it.

?

"You shouldn’t be sending shit like that while I’m on the floor, Matt."

My chest tightened for a split second—before a second message flashed right beneath it.

"Got four hours left on this shift. Keep that cock warm for me. I’m coming straight to yours when I clock out."

A sharp, breathless gasp escaped my throat. The image of Cal reading my text in the middle of a loud, busy

warehouse—surrounded by forklifts and his crew, holding that raw authority while typing back to me—sent a sudden, violent surge of heat straight to my gut.

?My grip tightened around my shaft, my thumb gliding over the wet head as I stroked faster, my breath hitching in the quiet room.

Four hours.

I looked down at my desktop, spreadsheets forgotten, completely helpless to the thought of what those heavy, calloused hands were going to do to me the second he stepped through my front door.

A rap on the door stunned me into a panic, but before I could even tuck myself away, the handle turned and the door swung open.

My cock was still fully out of my trousers, thick and glistening in the dim light of the closed office. In a desperate attempt to cover myself, I shoved my hand down into my lap, but it was too late.

A young, slim, blonde intern stood in the doorway. No more than twenty, wearing glasses that framed his face perfectly and trousers that accentuated his rear, he froze dead in his tracks. His eyes widened, dropping instantly from my face to the raw, completely exposed sight of my member held in my hand beneath the edge of the desk.

The air in the room turned to ice. A dark flush crept up the intern's neck, spreading all the way to his ears as he stood paralyzed, holding a slim folder against his chest.

"Mr. Lorde—" he sputtered, his voice cracking sharp and high with sheer shock.

I didn't flinch.

Forcing every ounce of my corporate authority to the surface despite my hammering heart, I held his terrified gaze, my voice dropping into a cold, dangerous register.

"Come in. Close the door."

The intern swallowed hard, a nervous tremor catching in his throat as he did as he was told, stepping inside and letting the door click shut behind him.

"Before we carry on," I said smoothly, slowly tucking myself back into my trousers and zipping up right in front of him without breaking eye contact, "I know what you saw. If you ever see the blinds closed and the door shut, you knock and wait for a response. Do you hear me?"

“Yes... sir," the intern stammered, his voice thin and trembling as his eyes darted nervously between my face and my lap.

“Erm, sorry—” he added apologetically, clutching the folder tighter. “I have the carrier contracts for the new distribution routes... they need your sign-off before the end of the day.”

"Leave them on the desk," I instructed, my tone icy and absolute. "And make sure you remember my boundary next time."

?"Understood, Mr. Lorde," he murmured softly.

He stepped forward with trembling hands, set the folder on the edge of the dark wood, stayed for a long moment, waiting for something and nothing, then turned toward the exit. He reached out and placed his palm flat against the metal handle, desperate to escape the suffocating tension of the room.

"Wait."

My voice cut through the quiet room like a blade. The intern froze instantly, his hand lingering on the handle, his shoulders slightly lifted as they tensed under his crisp shirt. He slowly turned around, his pale face flushed red, his eyes wide and uncertain behind his glasses.

"Come back to the desk," I commanded smoothly, leaning back in my leather chair and resting my forearms on the dark wood.

He swallowed hard, stepping back toward the desk like a man walking a plank. "Sir?"

I held his nervous gaze for a long, heavy beat, letting the weight of my position—Senior Logistics Manager—fill the space between us.

"You're ambitious, aren't you?" I asked, my tone quiet, measured, and stripped of all panic. "Looking to secure a permanent analyst position here at Vanguard Global once your internship wraps up?"

The intern blinked, caught off guard, before nodding quickly. "I... yes, Mr. Lorde. That's the goal."

"Good," I said, opening the folder he had just placed down and casually flipping to the signature page. "Because the quarterly performance reviews for the intern pool land directly on my desk next week. And my recommendation carries significant weight with HR."

His eyes widened slightly as the underlying message hit him.

"What happened in this office five seconds ago stays in this office," I continued, dipping my pen and signing my name across the carrier contract with a sharp, fluid stroke. "You forget everything you saw. You don't whisper a word to the other interns, you don't mention it in the breakroom, and you certainly don't bring it up to management. You do that for me, and I'll make sure your review guarantees you a seat on this floor come graduation."

A quiet gasp hitched in the boy's throat. The fear in his eyes shifted, replaced by the sheer realization of the deal being laid on the table.

"And if I hear even a rumor?" I added, looking up from the paper to lock onto his eyes. "I will personally see to it that your contract is terminated by the end of the day, and your name is blacklisted across every logistics firm in the city. Do we understand each other?"

?"Erm… Yes, Mr. Lorde," he stammered, his voice catching in his throat, but the head nod was firm this time. "Completely. I... I didn't see anything."

"Smart boy," I murmured, closing the folder and sliding it back across the desk to him. "Take your contracts and go."

He grabbed the folder, hugged it tightly against his chest, and backed out of the office without another word, closing the door behind him with a soft, decisive click.

Left alone once more, I leaned back against the leather headrest, letting out a slow, heavy breath as my pulse finally began to settle. The threat was neutralized, my authority intact—and the countdown to Cal stepping through my front door with me was ticking down fast.

After he left, I knew I had him under my thumb—and the intern knew it too.

It was nearing five in the afternoon, the end of my shift, and the pile of files on my desk had finally shrunk. The relief wouldn't last long, but for today, I was done. I scooped up my keys and phone, yanked my jacket off the coat rack where it had been hanging for weeks, and slipped it on as I headed out into the cool air of the carpark.

“Sir…”

It was the intern, matching my pace with a heavy leather shoulder bag slung awkwardly over his shoulder. He was keeping a precise two-foot distance, fidgeting with the strap, his eyes darting toward me before snapping back ahead.

I didn't slow my stride. I just casually tossed my car keys up, caught them in one palm, and glanced over with a faint, quiet smirk. “You’re walking fast. Something on your mind?”

The intern flinched slightly as I spoke, clearing his throat as his knuckles turned white against his bag strap. “I… er, no. Well, yes, sir. I just wanted to make sure we were… good. About earlier.”

I kept walking, completely unbothered, letting the silence stretch between us until the gravel under our shoes was the only sound in the carpark.

“What's your name, son?”

“Nate. Nathan, sir,” he said quickly, stopping to offer a hesitant handshake.

I ignored the hand, stepping past him towards my driver's door, “I’m off the clock,” I said smoothly, stopping beside my car. “If you want to talk about how things work around here, do it in my office tomorrow morning.”

Nathan swallowed hard, nodding rapidly. “Right. Yes, sir. Tomorrow morning. Have a good evening.”

He backed away toward his car—a surprisingly clean, late-model Mazda3. Not bad for a kid fresh out of school who had just seen far more than he should have.

I unlocked the Audi, settled into the leather seat, and pulled out of my reserved space. Leaving the carpark behind, I took the familiar route past the sprawling fences of Apex Freight before finally turning into my driveway.

Stepping inside, the messy, lived-in state of the house immediately grated on me. I pulled out my phone and fired off a quick text to one of the night-shift cleaners from the office.

If you want to earn some cash on the side, my place needs a quick spruce up.

On my way, sir. The reply came back within minutes.

An hour later, the house was immaculate again. I handed her a fifty, watched her leave, and grabbed my keys once more. It was time to pick up Cal.

-

Sitting in the quiet cab of the Audi, my pulse picked up a sharp, expectant rhythm. I killed the engine, shifted back into my seat, and dropped Cal a text, unable to hide the raw edge of anticipation in my chest.

“Been eager to taste you all day. Hurry, I'm outside.”

Five minutes passed in heavy silence, my phone resting against my thigh while I stared out through the windscreen at the sprawling, noisy loading docks of Apex Freight.

Then, the screen lit up with a buzz.

“Damn Matt, quit sending these messages while I'm working.”

A low, quiet laugh escaped my lips, but before I could even set the phone back down after going through emails, a second notification flashed across the display ten minutes later.

“On my way

A sudden, sharp wave of heat shot straight down my spine. I locked the phone, tossed it onto the passenger seat, and adjusted my collar, then the front of my work pants, my eyes fixed firmly on the heavy metal side exit of the warehouse as the evening-shift workers finally began to filter out into the cool air.

Looking out through the glass, I spotted him almost immediately.

Cal stepped through the metal side doors, his towering frame cutting effortlessly through the crowd. His steel-toe boots kicked up light dust with every heavy step. His fitted black t-shirt was off this time, tucked firmly into the waistband of his heavy-duty work pants, while his bright yellow hi-vis vest hung open at the front—exposing the most perfectly built torso and pecs I had ever seen.

He didn't rush. He walked with that slow, grounded swagger, his eyes sweeping the carpark until they locked directly onto the Audi.

Reaching the passenger side, he pulled the heavy door open, bringing the raw scent of clean sweat, dust, and cold evening air straight into the pristine leather interior as he hauled his massive frame into the seat.

He pulled the door shut with a solid thud, his dark blue eyes trailing slowly down to my lap—right where I'd just adjusted myself—before snapping up to hold my gaze.

“Hey,” Cal broke the silence of the cab, his lips pushing outwards into a faint smile. His eyes, saying something else entirely.

I smiled back.

“Hey. How was work?” I asked, starting the engine before setting off, keeping the tone light while deep in conversation.“Food then home, or home then food?” I asked before we pulled clear of the Apex Freight carpark.

Food was a practical necessity, but all I could actually think about was his heavy cock pushing into my throat once more, breeding me through the mouth. I resisted the urge to reach out and hold him as I drove, my hand only lightly brushing against his thigh each time I shifted gears.

Cal didn't answer right away. He shifted his broad weight in the leather seat, staring straight out through the windscreen.

“Pull in over there,” he muttered softly, gesturing toward the far corner of the back lot, away from the glare of the security lights. “We need to talk.”

My grip tightened on the gear stick. The casual warmth in the cab vanished instantly, replaced by a sudden, uneasy drop in my chest. I indicated, swung the Audi into the shadowed bay, and killed the engine.

I turned to face him in the dim light. “What’s going on?”

Cal ran a heavy hand over his face, leaning his head back against the leather. “My dad showed up at the warehouse today.”

I blinked, caught off guard. “Your dad? Why?”

?“He dropped by unannounced before the afternoon shift,” Cal said, his voice quiet, rough with an edge of raw tension I’d never heard in him before. “And he saw us this morning, Matt. Out in your car. He saw you lean over… he saw me touch your jaw.”

The air left my lungs in an instant.

“He didn't say anything then,” Cal continued, his dark blue eyes fixing on mine, burning with a mix of frustration and deep conflict. “But he pulled me aside in the bay two hours ago. He reminded me who I am. Where I come from. What ‘family line’ meant to him.” He let out a harsh, bitter breath. “He put it on the line, Matt. Made it sound like I’m choosing between my own flesh and blood… or what I want with you.”

The air inside the car felt suddenly suffocating. I sat frozen for a long beat, my fingers still locked around the gear stick as the weight of Cal’s words settled between us.

I had spent my entire adult life navigating corporate politics, managing high-stakes contracts, and keeping my personal life tucked away behind closed doors. But I had never been in Cal’s shoes. I didn't have a father breathing down my neck about legacy, family lines, or what was expected of "a real man." I couldn't pretend to fully understand the crushing pressure sitting on those broad shoulders right now.

I let out a slow, steadying breath, killed the headlights, and turned in my seat to face him properly.

"Cal," I began, keeping my voice quiet, measured, and stripped of any demand. "Look at me."

He hesitated, then slowly turned his head, those piercing blue eyes dark and heavy with a war he’d been fighting all afternoon.

"I'm not going to sit here and tell you what to do," I said softly, holding his gaze. "If you decide to walk away from this—if you choose your family, your father, and the path he’s laid out for you—I will accept that. I won't hold it against you, and I won't make it hard for you."

?Cal’s jaw clenched, a muscle jumping in his cheek, but he didn't interrupt.

"And if you choose what’s happening between us," I continued, letting my hand rest gently on the leather seat between us, just inches from his thigh, "then I’m here. All in. But this isn't just about picking me or picking your dad, Cal."

I paused, letting the silence stretch for a moment until the quiet hum of the night outside filled the car.

"Before you can choose anyone else, you have to come to grips with who you are," I told him, my tone firm, but dripping with genuine care. "What you want. What makes you happy when the rest of the world isn't watching? That's a fight only you can fight, do you understand? Nobody else can do that for you—not your father, and not me."

Cal stared at me, the harsh, defensive line of his shoulders slowly softening as the words sank in. A heavy, ragged breath escaped his chest, and for a second, he looked completely unarmored—no longer the tough warehouse supervisor, just a twenty-six-year-old guy trying to figure out his place in the world.

Tears slowly yet gradually filled Cal's eyes, glistening in the faint ambient light cut through the windscreen.

On pure instinct, my hand lifted, my fingers reaching out to catch them before they could fall down his cheek. But right at the edge of his skin, I stopped. I pulled my hand back, resting it against the steering wheel instead—refusing to put any physical pressure on him during the crushing ultimatum he was facing, and completely respecting the boundaries Cal needed right now.

Cal noticed the movement. He watched my hand retreat, a single heavy breath catching in his throat as a tear finally tracked down the side of his nose.

He didn't wipe it away. He just sat there, staring at me through the dim light of the cab, the raw silence between us holding more weight than any words could.

For a guy who carried himself with so much physical dominance and unyielding toughness on the warehouse floor, seeing him this undone, this exposed, made my chest ache with a quiet, fierce affection.

"Matt..." Cal rasped, his voice cracking slightly under the strain before he cleared his throat, trying to pull his composure back together. "Fuck... I don't know the last time I cried."

"You don't have to be tough in here with me, Cal," I murmured softly, keeping my posture relaxed, offering him a steady, unshakeable anchor. "You don't have to perform for anyone right now."

Cal let out a low, shaky exhale, leaning his head back against the leather headrest and closing his eyes as he took it all in…

“Thank you, Matt. I mean it, for everything you've done for me” Cal said through a raspy tone once the tears finally stopped falling.

He sat back for a brief moment, breathing in the quiet stillness of the car. Then, with a slow, deliberate movement, Cal nervously reached out with his hand and placed it gently against my cheek as I looked at him.

He pulled me close, leaning in until his lips landed softly, firmly on mine.

A quiet hit of electricity flooded my mind, sending a shockwave straight down my spine as my thoughts raced out of control. My body took over before my brain could even catch up, every bit of suppressed craving from the day surging back to the surface.

"Let's go to yours," I exhaled through suppressed words, the breath warm against his mouth.

Cal didn't say anything, but his thumb gave my cheek one last, gentle stroke before he slowly pulled back into his seat. He took a deep, steadying breath, his chest rising and falling as he clicked his seatbelt into place, looking straight ahead through the windscreen.

I shifted into reverse, backed out of the shadowed corner of the Apex Freight lot, and put my foot down, smoothly guiding the Audi out onto the open road.

Telford

I agreed to step inside with Cal, leaving the car behind in the quiet night as we walked toward the house together. The shift in Cal’s energy—from the raw, conflicted weight in the car to a grounded, quiet certainty—signaled a critical turning point for both of us as we stepped through his front door.

The front door clicked shut behind us, cutting off the chill of the night air and sealing us into the quiet stillness of the house.

Cal didn’t turn on the hallway light. In the dim amber glow filtering through the narrow glass panel beside the door, he set his heavy canvas duffel on the floor with a low thud and let his open high-vis vest slide off his shoulders to the floorboards. He turned to face me, his broad shoulders silhouette-framed in the shadows.

For a long beat, neither of us said a word. The air felt charged, but the frantic, chaotic desperation from earlier was gone. What was left was something much heavier—and far more real.

"My dad’s wrong," Cal said, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that cut through the silence.

I stayed still, keeping my back against the closed door, watching him. "Cal..."

Before I could say anything else, Cal closed the gap between us. He didn't rush, and he didn't grab me out of frustration. He reached up with both hands, his large, warm palms cupping either side of my face, his thumbs gently brushing over my cheekbones. He closed the gap entirely—I felt his growing length against my thigh—and pressed his lips to mine: a slow, deliberate, unhurried kiss that tasted of quiet surrender.

A shudder ran straight through me. I reached up with my good arm, my fingers digging into the fabric of his white tee, pulling him flush against my chest. Cal let out a low groan into my mouth, his tongue sliding past my lips, taking his time, claiming every inch of space without the panic or the anger that had driven him before.

When he finally pulled back, his forehead rested against mine, both of us breathing heavily in the dark hallway.

"I don't know what tomorrow looks like with him," Cal whispered into the inch of space between us, his hands sliding down to wrap around my waist, pulling my hips tightly into his. "And I don't give a fuck right now. All I know is I'm not letting him—or anyone else—tell me who I'm allowed to want."

His hands moved to the front of my shirt, his large fingers deft and unhurried as he worked his way down, freeing each button one by one. Once the fabric parted, his rough, calloused hands slid beneath the cotton, palms warm against my ribs before tracing around to slide up my spine. He guided the shirt back off my shoulders, letting it slip down my arms until it dropped silently to the floorboards.

"Upstairs," Cal murmured against my neck, his lips brushing over my pulse point as his grip on my waist tightened. "Your wrist is still healing, Matt. Tonight, you just sit back and let me take care of you."

He took my uninjured hand, his fingers lacing tightly through mine, and led the way up the creaking stairs into the warm, familiar dark of his bedroom.

The amber light filtering through the window cut across his bed, casting the unmade duvet in soft, familiar shadows. Being back in this space—surrounded by his scent, his bed, and the vivid memory of what I’d done in the dark just nights ago—sent an immediate, electric heat straight to my core. My length strained hard and heavy against the waistband of my trousers before Cal even turned back around to face me.

Cal noticed the shift instantly. He stopped at the foot of the bed, his dark blue eyes trailing down to the obvious ridge pressing beneath my clothes. A slow, knowing smirk tugged at the corner of his lips—confident, stripped of any leftover hesitation, and entirely in control.

"Eager, are we?" Cal murmured, his voice a low, gravelly rumble that vibrated through the quiet room.

He closed the small distance between us, the heat radiating off his bare chest washing over my shoulders as he reached out with both hands. His large, calloused fingers caught the waistband of my trousers, undoing the button with practiced ease before sliding them—and my briefs—down over my thighs in one fluid motion. I stepped out of them, standing bare before him in the dim light of his bedroom.

Cal didn't pull back. Instead, he dropped down onto his knees on the creaking floorboards right between my legs. Looking up at me, his eyes were blown out, dark with an unmistakable, uninhibited hunger. His rough palms cupped the backs of my thighs, holding me steady while his thumbs traced slow, deliberate circles into my skin.

"Cal..." my voice cracked, a ragged breath catching in my throat as his warm body hovered inches away.

"Shh," he rasped, his hot breath fanning across my lower stomach, sending a violent shudder straight down my spine. "I told you downstairs—tonight, you just sit back and let me take care of you."

He leaned forward, pressing a warm, lingering kiss to the sensitive skin of my inner thigh, his stubble grazed my skin before his lips tracked upward. His hands slid up to grip my hips, guiding me forward just an inch. Slowly, intentionally, Cal parted his lips, taking the slick, swollen tip of my length onto his tongue.

A sharp, helpless groan tore from my chest as he drew me deeper, his throat working in smooth, rhythmic swallows, taking as much of my length as he could while keeping those striking blue eyes locked firmly onto mine.

Telford

A massive scene for both Cal and Matt. One that I've really enjoyed writing. Hope you enjoy the read as much as I have enjoyed writing it!

-

Cal’s hands held my hips with absolute authority, his grip firm and unyielding against my bare skin. He didn't rush. Every movement of his mouth was deliberate, calculated to push me right to the edge of my restraint without ever letting me cross it. He worked his way up and down my length in slow, heavy swallows, his tongue swirling over the sensitive head just long enough to draw a ragged gasp from my chest before pulling back to tease the base.

Whenever my hips twitched upward on instinct, seeking a faster pace, Cal’s fingers dug deeper into my thighs, pinning me in place and forcing me to endure the agonizingly sweet pace he dictated.

A low, guttural vibration hummed against my skin as he let out a breathless chuckle against my hip, feeling me tremble beneath his hands.

?"I said sit back, Matt," Cal rasped, his voice dark and thick with control as he pulled back just far enough to look up at me, his blue eyes blown out in the dim amber light. "You don't move unless I tell you to."

He continued to push me just to the breaking point as I sat on the bed, leaning back on my elbows, leaving me there feeling helpless to his ever-wandering tongue.

Before my mind could even process what was happening, Cal guided me to the edge of the bed, caught my waist and turned me around in one clean sweep.

"Hands on the mattress," he commanded softly, his hand resting heavy between my shoulder blades, guiding my upper body down until I was leaning over the edge, my chest resting against the soft duvet, my hips lifted and completely exposed to him.

The cool night air hit my bare skin for only a fraction of a second before the overwhelming heat of Cal filled the space behind me. His large hands slid down my lower back, cupping my glutes and spreading me gently, exposing the tight, nervous heat of my entrance to the cool room.

A sudden, sharp gasp hitched in my throat as I felt him drop back down to his knees behind me.

"Cal—"

"Quiet," he murmured, his hot breath washing over the sensitive skin of my inner thighs.

Then, his tongue made contact.

A violent shockwave ran straight up my spine as Cal pressed his warm, wet tongue directly against the sensitive rim of my rear. A helpless, vocal groan tore from my mouth, muffled instantly into the fabric of his duvet. He didn't hesitate; he lapped at me with deep, rhythmic strokes, using his saliva to slick the tight muscle, his stubble grazing lightly against my skin to drive every nerve ending wild.

His hands remained anchored to my hips, holding me firmly in place as he worked me open with his mouth, licking, probing, and swirling over my entrance until my entire body was shaking, my six-and-a-half inches leaking helplessly onto the sheets beneath me, utterly surrendered to his command.

The rhythmic, slick drag of his tongue suddenly ceased, but the heat behind me didn't lessen for a second. Cal’s hands tightened on my hips, his knuckles digging in with an intense, unyielding grip that signaled a sudden shift. The confrontation with his father at the warehouse—the lingering anger, the defiance, the raw claim to what he wanted—seemed to surge directly into his physical hold on me. He wasn't just pleasing me anymore; he was taking total ownership.

I heard the wet slick of his hand working his shaft, followed by the heavy, trembling pressure of his broad chest pressing down against my lower back. The head of his solid eight inches rested right against my worked-open entrance, hot and unyielding.

"Cal..." I whimpered into the duvet, my heart hammering against my ribs.

"Look back at me," Cal growled into the shell of my ear, his voice dark, commanding, and stripped of any remaining uncertainty.

I strained my neck, glancing over my shoulder just in time to catch those dark blue eyes locked onto mine. Without a single second of hesitation, Cal drove forward.

A sharp, breathless gasp ripped from my throat as the thick head of his shaft forced its way past my tight muscle. The stretch was intense, filling me completely, but Cal didn't slow down to let me adjust. Fuelled by the raw dominance he’d been holding back all day, he pushed relentlessly, burying his full eight inches deep inside me in one heavy, decisive thrust.

My hips bucked, a muffled scream escaping into the mattress as my body attempted to stretch around his massive size. Cal’s broad frame pinned me flat against the bed, his weight burying me into the duvet as his hands reached up to grip my shoulders firmly, pressing me down and anchoring me right where he wanted me.

"Mine," Cal growled against my neck, his hot breath fanning over my flushed skin as he paused for one torturous, deep beat, letting me feel every single inch of him stretching me open before he began to move.

He didn't wait for me to catch my breath. With his fingers locked white-knuckled over my shoulders, pinning my chest flush against the mattress, Cal pulled back almost all the way to his tip before driving straight back in.

A sharp, broken moan tore from my throat, the mattress soaking up the sound as he established a punishing, relentless pace. Every thrust was deep, authoritative, and heavy with the raw emotion he'd been carrying all day. The bed frame groaned under the sheer weight of his momentum, the rhythm of his hips slamming against my glutes echoing through the dim, quiet room.

"Fuck, Matt..." Cal grunted into the crook of my neck, his hot, ragged breaths washing over my skin. His grip on my shoulders shifted slightly, one hand sliding down to wrap firmly around my throat—not cutting off my air, but keeping my head pressed firmly into the pillow, asserting absolute control. "Tell me you feel this."

"I... fuck, Cal, yes!" I gasped out, my hands clutching helplessly at the sheets beneath me. Every deep, deliberate slide of his eight inches was hitting a spot inside me that made my vision blur with intense, white-hot heat. My six-and-a-half inches was trapped tight between my stomach and the mattress, leaking uncontrollably with every heavy drive of his hips.

He wasn't holding back anymore. The doubt, the fear of his father's words, the confusion—all of it was being burned away in the friction between our bodies. He drove into me with an unrelenting power, his chest pressing hot and heavy against my spine, burying himself as deep as he could possibly go with every single stroke.

"You're mine tonight," Cal growled against my ear, his voice thick, gravelly, and entirely unyielding. "Say it."

"I'm yours, Cal—fuck, I'm yours!" I whimpered, arching my back helplessly into his path, completely consumed by his weight, his scent, and the overwhelming force of his dominance as he pushed us both straight toward the edge.

His pace accelerated into a hard, desperate rhythm, every impact sending shockwaves straight to my core. The friction was electric, intense, and completely consuming. My hands scrambled across the duvet, pulling at the fabric, my fingers knotting into the sheets as my chest heaved with every breathless moan I couldn't hold back.

"Cal—fuck, Cal, I'm... I'm right there—" my voice quivered as my hips arched backward into him on instinct, chasing that unbearable, coil-tight sensation rapidly building at the base of my spine.

"Hold on for me," Cal grunted, his fingers tightening around my throat just enough to tilt my chin back, his chest slamming against my shoulders with broad, unrelenting force. "Together, Matt. Look at me."

I turned my head as far as his grip allowed, my gaze locking onto his. His blue eyes were pitch-dark, dilated, and blazing with raw, unfiltered emotion—all the defiance, the possession, and the unyielding claim he had over me burning right there in the open.

That visual shattered whatever string of control I had left.

My climax ripped through me with violent force. A long, broken cry tore from my throat as my inner muscles clamped down tight around his shaft. White-hot pleasure crashed over my brain, making my vision blur as my six-and-a-half inches painted the mattress beneath me in heavy, shuddering pulses.

Feeling the tight, rhythmic contractions swallowing him, Cal let out a low, guttural roar against my neck. He drove himself into me one last, punishingly deep time, burying his full eight inches to the hilt and holding himself pinned tight against my glutes as his own release spilled inside me, hot and endless.

For several long, breathless seconds, the world shrank down to the sound of our ragged breathing echoing in the quiet bedroom. Cal stayed heavy against my back, his forehead pressed into the side of my neck, his heart hammering wildly against my spine in exact sync with my own.

Slowly, carefully, his hand that moved from my shoulders released the tight grip of my hair, his rough, calloused fingers tracing up to the back my sweat-dampened nape with unexpected gentleness.

"Matt," he breathed out, his voice thick and quiet, stripped entirely of authority now—leaving only warmth.

He eased himself out of me with a soft, involuntary grunt from us both, before wrapping his arms beneath my shoulders and pulling my limp, exhausted body backward with him as he collapsed onto his side in the middle of the bed. I didn't hesitate, curling directly into his chest, resting my head right over the heavy, steady thud of his heart.

Cal pulled me in close to him, his large hand resting flat against my lower stomach, holding me securely against him in the cool amber light.

Telford

I pulled up outside my house just as the morning sun began to warm the driveway. Stepping out of the Audi, my body carried that comfortable, deep ache from the night before, but my mind was clearer than it had been in days. I headed inside, stripping off my clothes for a hot shower before getting dressed in a freshly pressed suit for the office.

My head was full of Cal—the soft way he’d kissed me goodbye at his front door, the warmth in his eyes, and the quiet certainty we’d finally found.

I was just tightening my tie in front of the hallway mirror when my phone buzzed sharply against the dresser.

I picked it up, expecting a light text from Cal wishing me a good day at work. Instead, his name flashed across the screen with an incoming call.

"Hey," I answered, setting my watch down. "You alright? I only left twenty minutes ago."

Silence stretched over the line for a long, heavy beat, punctuated only by Cal's rough, uneven breathing.

"Cal?" I asked, my voice dropping into instant concern. "What’s wrong?"

"My dad was just here," Cal rasped, his voice tight and strained.

A cold drop hit the pit of my stomach. "At your house?"

"Knocked on the door right after you pulled away," Cal said. I could hear him pacing across his floorboards, his footsteps heavy and restless. "He... he didn't hold back, Matt. Came straight inside. Told me I’m throwing my life away, that I’m wasting my time with an older guy in a fancy car, and that I need to get back on the 'straight and narrow.'"

I leaned back against the dresser, listening silently, giving him the space to let it out. "What did you say to him?"

"That's the thing..." Cal let out a bitter, frustrated breath through his teeth. "I froze, Matt. Inside my own head, I know exactly what I want. I want you. I want to figure out who I am without lying to myself anymore. But looking him in the eye... seeing how much he expects me to just marry some girl and settle down... I couldn't get the words out. I couldn't tell him."

I felt a quiet ache in my chest for him. I knew the weight he was carrying—trapped between the fierce independence he’d shown me in bed and the lifelong fear of losing his father's approval.

"Cal, listen to me," I said softly, keeping my tone steady and grounded. "You don't have to fight him all at once. You just stood your ground with yourself last night, and that's what matters. You don't owe him a full confession today if you're not ready for the fallout."

"I know," Cal murmured, his voice softening slightly as he took a steadying breath over the line. "It just pisses me off that he still has that kind of hold on me. But... hearing your voice helps."

"I'm here," I reminded him gently, checking the clock on the wall. "Take today to breathe. Focus on your shift later, and we'll talk more tonight. Alright?"

"Yeah," Cal replied, a faint, familiar warmth bleeding back into his raspy tone. "Thanks, Matt. Drive safe to work."

I hung up, setting the phone down. Looking back at my reflection in the mirror, the day ahead at the office felt a lot more complicated, knowing the battle Cal was fighting back at his house.

The rest of the morning blurred into a steady stream of emails and logistics reports. By two in the afternoon, the quiet hum of the office was broken only by the distant murmur of the sales floor down the hall. I was leaning back in my leather chair, reviewing a set of international freight quotes, when my door swung open.

No knock. No warning.

Nathan stepped into the room, quickly closing the door behind him with a sharp, metallic click of the latch. He looked flustered, his hair slightly disheveled and his tie pulled a fraction loose from his collar. His glasses sat slightly crooked on the bridge of his nose.

I didn't move. I slowly set my pen down onto the blotter, leaning forward as my eyes locked onto him. The atmosphere in the room turned instantly sub-zero.

"Nathan," I said, my voice dropping into a low, dangerous register. "What did I tell you about the door?"

Nathan swallowed hard, his chest heaving slightly as if he’d paced up the stairs rather than taking the elevator. He didn't cringe back this time. Instead, he took two deliberate steps toward the dark wood desk, clutching a slim Manila folder against his ribs like a shield.

"I know, Mr. Lorde. I'm sorry," Nathan stammered, his voice trembling slightly before he forced it steady. "I know I'm supposed to knock. But... but we didn't finish what we were talking about."

I raised an eyebrow, keeping my expression completely unreadable. "I signed your carrier routes three hours ago. We're done."

"Not about the routes," Nathan blurted out, stepping closer until his knuckles rested on the edge of my desk. "In the carpark. Last night, when you were getting into your car."

A quiet beat passed between us. The memory flashed back—the evening chill, the gravel under our shoes, and Nathan nervously trying to gauge where he stood.

"You said we'd talk about how things work around here," Nathan continued, his eyes darting toward the closed blinds before snapping back to mine, wide and desperate behind his lenses. "You said to come to your office this morning. But then you brought up my review, you gave me the contracts, and... and you brushed it off. You treated me like a liability you just bought off."

I leaned back in my chair, folding my hands over my stomach, letting the silence stretch between us until he began to shift his weight from foot to foot.

"You are a liability, Nathan," I said smoothly, my tone devoid of anger, stating it as an indisputable fact. "Or rather, you were one—until you demonstrated that you understood the value of discretion."

“I do understand,” Nathan pressed, his voice dropping into a desperate, hushed whisper. He leaned in slightly over the desk, the professional facade slipping just enough to reveal the raw ambition underneath. “I haven’t said a word to anyone. Not to the other interns, not to HR. I won’t. I swear it, Mr. Lorde. But... I don’t just want a seat on this floor because I hold a secret over you. I want to know where I actually stand with you.”

He gave me a slow once-over, his eyes dropping from my face to linger deliberately over the slight pitch in my pants before snapping back up to meet my gaze.

I stared at him for a long, heavy moment. The kid wanted me, but he was also terrified. Yet beneath that fear, he was sharp—smart enough to realize that coercion was a dangerous game, and eager enough to want my actual attention and mentorship instead of just a forced recommendation.

A slow, faint smirk touched the corner of my lips.

I caught the quick dart of his eyes, the slight hitch in his breath as he realized I’d noticed exactly where he was looking. The fear and the attraction were wrestling right beneath his skin, making him bold in a way that was almost reckless.

I leaned back slowly, letting the silence hang until the flush on his neck crept up into his cheeks.

"You're walking a very fine line, Nathan," I said, my voice dropping into a low, controlled register that carried zero room for misinterpretation. "You want to know where you stand? You stand on your performance. That's it. Keep your mind on the freight contracts and your hands to yourself."

I gestured toward the door, my eyes holding his with unyielding authority.

"Now get back to your desk. And don't ever walk into my office unannounced again."

Nathan swallowed hard, his posture instantly stiffening as the reality of the boundary re-established itself. "Yes, Mr. Lorde," he stammered, giving a curt, quick nod before turning on his heel and retreating out the door, closing it softly behind him.

I let out a slow, steady breath once the latch clicked. The power dynamic was back under total control, but the brief distraction only made me want to get out of the building even more. I picked up my phone from the desk, checking the screen to see if Cal had replied yet.

The end of the day came and I headed back home, calling Cal as I drove.

I guided the Audi out of the downtown parking garage and into the steady stream of evening traffic, the setting sun painting the city skyline in deep hues of amber and violet. Loosening my tie with one hand, I tapped the steering wheel control to place a call to Cal.

It rang three times before the line picked up, the background noise of the warehouse—distant idling engines and the metallic beep of a reversing forklift—filtering through the speaker.

"Hey, Matt," Cal's voice rasped through the car's sound system, sounding slightly winded but clear.

"Hey," I said, a faint smile breaking through the fatigue of my day as I navigated the highway on-ramp. "Just wrapped up at the office and heading home. How’s your shift going?"

"Nearly done," Cal replied, letting out a long, heavy breath that vibrated through the speakers. "Got about twenty minutes left on the floor before I can clock out. It’s been a long one, to be honest."

I knew the heavy thoughts he’d been carrying all day—about his dad, about his future, about us. "How are you holding up?" I asked softly, keeping my tone steady and grounded.

There was a brief beat of silence on his end, the sound of the warehouse fading slightly as if he’d stepped into a quieter corner of the bay.

"Better than I was this morning," Cal admitted, his voice dropping into a lower, rasper register. "Kept my head down, focused on the crew, but... I couldn't stop thinking about what you said. And about last night."

A low wave of heat traced down my spine at the memory of his hands, his weight, and the raw honesty of his voice in the dark.

"Good," I murmured, my grip tightening slightly on the leather wheel. "Because I've had a hell of a day at the office, and you're the only thing I want to see right now. Are you coming straight to mine after you clock out?"

"Try and stop me," Cal replied, a faint, familiar smirk bleeding back into his tone. "I'll grab my gear, hop on the bike you lent me, and meet you at yours in half an hour."

"Drive safe—or pedal fast," I teased smoothly. "I'll have the gate unlocked."

"See you soon, Matt."

The call ended with a soft click, leaving the cab in a comfortable silence. I stepped on the gas, the Audi accelerating smoothly toward home, the stress of Vanguard Global and eager interns completely evaporating as I anticipated the sound of his bike coming up my drive.

-

"Cal," I said softly, reaching across the island to lay my hand over his wrist. "Honestly? For a second, after everything your father has been putting you through, I just wanted to react. To rebel. The thought of taking Nathan right there in my office crossed my mind, but I managed to compose myself... barely. There's nothing to worry about, though. I forced myself to step back, remembered he's just an intern trying to play a leverage game, and I shut it completely down."

Cal stared at me, his fingers freezing against his coffee mug. The possessive edge in his eyes vanished, replaced by a sudden, stunned stillness.

“You… You almost…” Cal swallowed hard, his voice dropping into a quiet, disbelieving murmur. “How close were you to acting out? And why?”

I tightened my grip on his wrist, my heart hammering against my ribs as I saw the hurt and confusion take root in his face.

"Cal..." I said softly, keeping my eyes locked on his. "It wasn't about Nathan. It wasn't about wanting him. It was just... I was sitting in my car after our call, thinking about what you were facing with your father. I came into the office feeling angry, helpless, completely out of control of my own head. When Nathan walked in, bold and trying to push my buttons, my fucked-up impulse was just to take control of something. To break the rules, to be reckless, to burn everything down because I couldn't fix what was hurting you—"

"Stop."

Cal’s voice sliced through mine like a blade. It wasn't loud, but the sheer weight of it cut me off instantly.

He ripped his wrist out from under my hand, standing up so fast the stool scraped harshly against the hardwood floor. He turned his back to me for a brief second, gripping the edge of the kitchen counter so hard his shoulders shook under his shirt.

"Don't do that, Matt," Cal rasped, turning back to face me, his voice tight with a mix of raw anger and deep, painful frustration. "Don't you dare put that on me."

I froze, the air leaving my lungs. "Cal—"

"No, listen to me!" Cal stepped closer, his eyes burning, completely stripped of his usual calm. "You almost blew up your career, your life, over some kid in your office... because I had a bad morning with my dad? You think that makes me feel better? You think hearing that you almost threw yourself away to rebel against my problems is what I want?"

He leaned over the island, his gaze locking back onto mine with a desperate, intense energy that was fiercely protective of us.

"I come here because you're my sanctuary, Matt," Cal confessed, his breath hitching as his chest heaved. "When my dad makes me feel like trash, coming back to you is the only thing keeping my head above water. But if being with me is making you so unravelled that you're one bad impulse away from destroying everything you've built... then what the hell are we doing?”

Telford

“I... I don't know. I mean, we're not even in a relationship. We met a few days ago, and it's all happened too fast. Our feelings and emotions feel rushed, and I'm completely scared, Cal," I finally admitted. "I just knew that I wanted to fight in your corner against your dad, and I needed to gain that element of control again. I feel like I'm losing myself."

The admission hung heavily in the air, stripping away the last remaining layers of pretension between us.

Cal didn't pull away, but the sharp tension in his shoulders seemed to falter, giving way to a raw, heavy stillness. His eyes searched mine, tracking the honesty in my face as the truth settled over the marble island.

"Rushed..." Cal repeated softly, his voice dropping into a quiet, raspy murmur. He slowly straightened up from the counter, running a heavy hand over his face and through his dark hair. He let out a long, ragged exhale that sounded more like a sigh of deep exhaustion than anger. "You think I'm not scared, Matt? You think waking up next to someone who feels like a lifeline after less than a week doesn't terrify the hell out of me?"

He took a few steps back towards the side of the kitchen before stopping to face me again, running his hands over his face and through his hair with the frantic energy of a man suffocating in his own head.

“I'm scared of how fast this is moving, too," Cal confessed, his gaze locking back onto mine with an overwhelming intensity. "I'm scared of depending on someone when my whole life has been about relying on no one. But hearing you say you feel like you're losing yourself... that you felt you had to fight my battles just to feel in control..."

He shook his head slowly, his voice laced with a quiet, aching regret.

"I don't want you losing yourself for me, Matt. I don't want to be the thing that burns your world down." Cal reached across the island, his fingers hovering for a second before lightly resting against the back of my hand. His touch was hesitant now, cautious, stripped of all aggression. "If we need to slow this down... if we need to figure out what the hell this actually is before it consumes us both... then tell me. Just don't destroy what you've built trying to carry a weight that isn't yours."

"Maybe we should... ugh, I don't know, Cal—" I trailed off, unable to bring myself to finish the thought.

What we had was real, and for the first time in years, it made me feel alive. But knowing Cal was drowning—under the weight of his father, his daily battles, and now this—what was I supposed to do? Step back and pretend I didn't care, or stay and risk pulling us both under?

Cal looked me over for a moment, speechless and left me there, alone. He didn't just walk out—he bolted.

The heavy iron gate slammed shut behind him with a sharp, deafening clang that echoed off the surrounding brick walls. Cal didn't even look at the bike leaning against the fence. He didn't look back at me, either. He just ducked his head, locked his shoulders, and took off into a dead sprint—pounding down the cracked asphalt of the access road, taking the turn that led deeper into the industrial district, away from his apartment and away from his father. Away from me.

"Cal!" I shouted, the command in my voice slipping into something raw as I pushed through the heavy gate and hit the pavement.

He didn't slow down. The admission about Nathan had completely gutted whatever trust we'd spent the last few days building. Down here on the street, away from the polished wood of my office and the authority of my title, I couldn't just order him to stop.

My heart was hammering against my ribs, driven by a sudden, cold panic I wasn't used to feeling. I threw myself into a full sprint after him. The evening air burned in my chest as the distance between us stretched.

He cut left into a narrow, dimly lit alleyway between two vacant supply warehouses—a shortcut that led to the old train tracks behind the yard. He was running blind, driven entirely by adrenaline, hurt, and betrayal.

“Cal, stop! Listen to me!" I called out, my footsteps heavy against the gravel as I rounded the corner into the shadowed alley.

He finally halted near the rusted chain-link fence at the end of the corridor, his hands gripping the wire so tightly his knuckles turned stark white. His chest was heaving, his broad back rising and falling rapidly under his jacket as he stared through the fence at the empty tracks beyond.

I slowed my pace, holding my hands out slightly, taking cautious steps toward him.

"Cal," I said, my voice dropping lower, stripping away the executive persona entirely. "Don't do this. Don't just run."

"What was I supposed to do, Matt?" Cal rasped out, his voice thick and strained. He slowly turned around, his back hitting the fence. His jaw was clenched so hard a muscle twitched in his cheek, his eyes dark with a mix of fury and genuine hurt. "Sit there and act like it's fine? You bring him up like he's just some... some detail in your day. Like it doesn't mean anything."

He shoved a hand through his hair, letting out a harsh, bitter laugh that lacked any real humour.

"I spent all day suffocating at the warehouse, terrified my dad was going to catch on," Cal continued, “WHICH HE HAS!” I screamed, pointing a trembling finger sharply at my chest. He took a breather. "I fumbled. I couldn't say a damn word to him about us or who I am. I came here carrying all of that, thinking I could finally breathe with you—and then you tell me about Nathan.”

"Cal, I—” I started, but he cut me off.

“Go home, Matt,” he said. “I'll text you.”

I didn't back off. I kept closing the distance between us, stepping closer.

“Go, please Matt. Just leave me alone for a while,” he pleaded, his voice cracking.

When I took another step forward, he snapped. He shoved me back so hard my heels caught on the gravel, hitting the ground with a dull thud. It was a reaction I never expected from Cal.

The dust settled around us as I sat there on the cold gravel, my palms stinging from the impact. Up on the fence, Cal stood frozen, staring down at his own trembling hands like he didn't recognize them. The anger in his eyes was instantly swallowed by a wave of pure horror.

Was this his father's side coming out?

Looking up at him from the ground, the truth hit me with sudden, sharp clarity. No wonder the kid was scared. No wonder he was hurting so deeply. He spent every single day living under the thumb of an explosive, overbearing man—and in a moment of pure panic, he’d used that exact same force on me.

He took a frantic step backward, his breath catching in a ragged sob. "Matt... I'm—I didn't..."

"Cal, stay," I said softly, making no move to get up too fast or threaten him. I kept my hands flat on the ground, stripping every edge of authority from my voice. "It's alright. Just look at me.”

Instead of breaking down, he darted right past me, tearing back down the narrow alley and disappearing around the corner into the night.

He left me sitting there, grounded to the cold concrete floor in the quiet darkness.

I took a moment to breathe before picking myself up. Thankfully, the lingering pain from my previous fall had completely faded; I didn't feel a thing physically. Emotionally, though, the sting was still there.

I brushed the dust, dirt, and stray gravel off my clothes, took a deep breath to steady myself, and began the long walk back home.

(Sorry for the rollercoaster of emotions guys, but the story is never over!)

Telford

Several days had come and gone, all blending seamlessly into one another. The space around me felt completely empty without Cal.

I found myself constantly checking my phone, but not a single text or call had come through. I had tried sending messages over the course of those agonizing, silent days, but it was like he had vanished off the face of the earth—no reply, no delivery confirmation, no evidence of his existence at all.

An unfamiliar, suffocating worry began to settle deep in my chest. It was a feeling I was unaccustomed to—a vulnerability I never thought I’d experience over someone I truly cared about.

-

I sat at my heavy oak desk, staring down at the lifeless, black screen of my phone. Three days of radio silence. Three days of checking every ping, every vibration, only to find nothing from Cal. The empty quiet of my office felt suffocating, a stark reminder of how completely out of control things had spun.

A hesitant, quiet knock at the door broke the silence.

The door clicked open, and Nathan slipped into the room. He reached back and hastily pushed the door firmly shut until the latch caught with a soft click, though he didn't lock it. He stayed right there by the entrance, his back practically pressed against the dark wood frame, his hand clutching the brass handle behind him like a lifeline.

Over the past few days, Nathan had been in and out of my office constantly for work, passing me reports and taking notes while we both pretended nothing had happened. But right now, his shoulders were rigid and his throat was working in a hard swallow. The professional distance he’d maintained since walking in on me was completely crumbling.

I didn't move, resting my elbows on the blotter, watching him through cold, guarded eyes. "I don't recall calling you in, Nathan."

"I... I know, Mr. Lorde," Nathan stammered, his voice higher and far less steady than his usual formal tone. He quickly let go of the handle only to adjust his glasses, his fingers visibly trembling against the frame. He adjusted his tie, clearing his throat awkwardly. "I know I just brought you the morning files, but... I needed a moment. To talk to you properly."

"I have a department to run," I replied, my voice a low, gravelly rumble. "If it's about the reports, leave them on the tray."

"It's not about the reports," Nathan blurted out, a sudden flush spilling over his cheeks, turning them a deep, blotchy red. He shifted his weight from foot to foot, clutching a thin notepad against his chest like a shield. "It's about... that day. Ever since I walked in here."

I narrowed my eyes slightly, letting the silence heavy-press against him.

Nathan swallowed hard, his posture shrinking under my gaze, but he forced himself to keep speaking. "I've been acting like everything is fine when I bring you paperwork, but I haven't been able to focus, sir. At all. Every time I walk into this room, I just... I see you sitting there. Like that."

He took a shaky breath, his knuckles turning white against the notepad.

"I thought I'd be disgusted, or terrified," he whispered, his voice cracking slightly as the raw truth spilled out of him. "I thought about reporting it. But... the truth is, Matt—Mr. Lorde—I haven't stopped thinking about it. About you... and it's driving me crazy."

He practically held his breath after saying it, his eyes wide and anxious behind his glasses as he waited for me to fire him on the spot.

The silence stretched long and thick between us. I sat back in my leather chair, my hands folding over my stomach, watching the trembling wreck standing by my door. I let the weight of his confession hang in the room until he looked like he might pass out from the tension.

"Is that right?" I finally murmured, my voice barely carrying across the room. "You stand by my door, shaking like a leaf, and tell me you're distracted by your boss."

Nathan swallowed again, his chest heaving with shallow breaths. Seeing that I hadn't yelled, that I hadn't thrown him out, a tiny spark of desperate courage seemed to break through his panic.

Hesitantly, his hand reached behind his back.

*Click.*

The heavy brass deadbolt engaged, the metallic sound ringing sharply through the quiet room.

With the door locked, Nathan let out a long, shaky exhale. He slowly let his hands drop to his sides, abandoning the notepad on a side table near the door. He took a hesitant, trembling step toward my desk, his polished shoes rustling against the carpet until he stood on the opposite side of the wide mahogany desk.

He leaned forward slightly, resting his shaking palms against the dark wood for support, looking down at me with raw, nervous honesty.

"I am terrified, sir," Nathan admitted, his voice barely a whisper now, his eyes wide and vulnerable behind his glasses. "But I couldn't keep coming in here pretending I didn't want this.”

I leaned back further into my leather chair, letting my hands rest flat against the armrests.

My mind was a chaotic mess. Cal’s face—terrified, breathless, standing over me in the alley before vanishing—was practically burned into the back of my eyelids. For three days, that silence had been eating away at me, filling my chest with an ache I wasn't used to. I was worried sick about him.

Yet here stood Nathan. Trembling, flushed, wide-eyed, yet bold enough to lock my deadbolt.

The contrast was dizzying. I felt a surge of deep conflict, a heavy guilt whispering that I shouldn't be doing this while Cal was out there, completely unreachable. But the sheer mental exhaustion, combined with the sudden, intoxicating shift in power, wore down my resistance. I couldn't handle the agonizing wait for a phone call anymore. I just needed something—anything—to take the edge off, to numb the noise in my head.

I didn't reprimand him. I didn't threaten his job. I just stared up at Nathan through heavy, conflicted eyes, letting out a slow, gravelly breath.

"Alright, Nathan," I murmured, my voice yielding to the pressure. "Show me."

Nathan blinked, startled by the green light. A sharp, ragged breath escaped his throat. The fear didn't leave his eyes—if anything, his hands shook harder against the mahogany desk—but a sudden, intense wave of conviction washed over his face.

He didn't want to do this right here in the open office, where someone might see a shadow through the blinds. He wanted total privacy.

Without taking his eyes off mine, Nathan straightened his spine, swallowing hard. "Not at your desk, sir," he whispered, his voice trembling, yet carrying a desperate authority.

He stepped around the side of the mahogany desk, his movements hesitant yet resolute. He reached down and took my wrist. His fingers were cold, slightly slick with nervous sweat, but his grip was firm. He pulled—a delicate, terrified command—guiding me out of my leather chair.

My head screamed at me to step back, to check my phone one last time, but I allowed myself to be moved. I let him take control.

Nathan backed away slowly, drawing me across the plush carpet toward the far corner of my office. He stopped at the heavy door that led into my private executive bathroom—a secluded, windowless space tucked completely away from the main floor.

His hand fumbled blindly for the handle behind him, his breathing fast and shallow. He pushed the door open, stepped backward into the dimly lit room, and pulled me in after him.

The moment the heavy door shut and the lock clicked into place, the quiet hum of the outer office vanished. Surrounded by sleek marble and shadowed tile, Nathan backed up until his spine hit the edge of the granite vanity.

He was clearly terrified, his chest heaving under his crisp dress shirt, but as he looked up at me in the enclosed space, he held his ground. He reached out with both hands, his trembling fingers resting against the lapels of my suit jacket, completely taking charge of the moment as I let the conflict wash over me and surrendered to it.

I stood there, lost in my own thoughts, asking myself whether I could actually go through with this. Whatever... this... was.

Nathan continued to slowly undress me. My jacket. My tie. My shirt. He stopped and hooked his fingers into the waistband of my pants, which were growing tighter with everything happening right in front of me—despite Cal being missing.

I looked at Nathan intensely. The twenty-year-old eventually gripped my belt while I remained completely motionless.

The quiet click of my belt buckle sounded unnaturally loud in the small, windowless room. My mind was still spinning—a chaotic storm of guilt and desire. Cal's face kept flashing in my head, the agonizing weight of his three-day disappearance pulling hard at my gut. I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be letting this happen.

And yet, watching Nathan—this nervous twenty-year-old who usually jumped at his own shadow—take charge was intoxicating. His hands were still trembling, his breath hitching every time his knuckles brushed against my skin, but there was an uncharacteristic determination in his dark eyes behind those glasses.

He unbuckled the leather, his breathing ragged, before slowly undoing the top button. He kept his eyes locked on mine, searching my face for any sign of a stop sign, any hint that the authority he was momentarily borrowing was about to be reclaimed.

I gave him nothing. I just stood there motionless, letting the sheer friction of the moment overpower the conflict raging inside me.

Nathan’s thumbs hooked deeper into my waistband, tugging the heavy fabric down over my hips. As my pants pooled around my boots, he swallowed hard, his gaze dropping to the prominent bulge straining against my dark briefs—a physical reaction I couldn't deny, no matter how distant my thoughts were.

"Matt..." Nathan breathed, the slip of my name sounding like a desperate prayer in the cramped space.

He let out a long, trembling breath and sank down onto his knees on the cold tile, keeping his hands anchored to my hips as he looked up at me from the floor.

"Nathan... stop," I rasped out, the words catching against the back of my throat. I reached down and caught him by the shoulder, my grip heavy, trying to pull back before this crossed a line I couldn't undo. "We can't do this. Not today."

Nathan froze for a fraction of a second, his hands still anchored to my hips. He looked up at me from the cold floor, his chest heaving, his dark eyes wide behind his glasses. I expected him to shrink back, to apologize, to scramble to his feet in a panic like he usually would.

Instead, a sudden, desperate heat flashed across his face. He didn't let go.

"No," Nathan whispered, his voice trembling but fiercely stubborn. He tightened his grip on my waist, leaning forward until his hot breath sank right through the dark fabric of my briefs. "You're not sending me away, Matt. Not after this."

Before I could process the defiance in his tone, Nathan leaned his forehead against my stomach, his shaking hands sliding around to the small of my back, holding me right where I stood. He surged forward, pressing a feverish, desperate kiss against the tight fabric covering my waist.

The heat of it shot straight up my spine. My hands tangled in his dark hair to push him off, but the sharp physical sensation, paired with days of suffocating tension over Cal, completely snapped something inside my head. The guilt, the worry, the restraint—it all collapsed under a wave of pure, raw impulse.

"Fuck," I growled, the low sound vibrating deep in my chest.

I stopped trying to pull away. The hesitation evaporated instantly, replaced by a sudden, heavy surge of dominance. I grabbed Nathan by the back of his neck, my fingers locking firmly into his collar, and yanked him up off his knees with effortless force.

Nathan let out a sharp, breathless gasp as I spun him around in the cramped, marble-tiled space. His hands scrambled for purchase against the dark granite vanity as I shoved him forward, bending him squarely over the counter. The manicured stack of luxury hand towels tumbled to the floor, but neither of us cared.

His glasses slipped slightly down the bridge of his nose as his palms pressed flat against the stone, his breath hitching loudly in the enclosed room.

I pressed up behind him, my chest heavy against his back, completely trapping him between my body and the vanity. I leaned down close to his ear, my voice dropping into a dark, gravelly rumble that left no room for hesitation.

"You wanted to take control, Nathan?" I muttered, my hand sliding down to hook firmly into his belt. "You're in my domain, and the control is always mine here."

My fingers hitched into his loosened belt, yanking the heavy leather free from the loops in one fluid motion before tugging his dress pants down over his hips.

I expected the dark cotton of briefs or a waistband. Instead, the dark fabric fell away to reveal completely bare skin—his pale, lean waist, the subtle curve of his tight lower back, and the smooth definition of his rear, entirely unclothed under his work clothes.

"Freeballing?" I growled near his ear, my thumb digging into the sharp dip of his hip bone. "You walked into my office like this?"

Nathan let out a shaky, breathless gasp, his palms sliding a few inches forward on the cold granite counter as his trousers bunched around his knees. His face flushed a deep, burning crimson, his glasses crooked on his nose as he squeezed his eyes shut.

"Sir, please. I..." he started. "I haven’t been thinking right since that time. I can't even dress or eat properly."

"Cute story, now shut up," I demanded.

I threaded my thumbs into my own waistband and hurriedly dropped my dark briefs. My cock rose instantly, the hard shaft slamming against my lower belly before settling against Nathan's bare rear.

"My Lorde, I..."

"Shut up."

I struck the cheek of his backside, leaving a bright red handprint against his pale skin, before opening the crevice of his hidden hole and driving straight into him.

Nathan let out a sharp gasp as I quickly filled him, pulling out to the head of my penis and slamming right back into him with uncontrollable heat and lust.

“Quiet, boy, or everyone will hear you,” I growled at him. He rounded his head to face me, his skin plastered with sweat as it dripped from his forehead.

I kept up a hot, demoralizing pace, a tempo that Nathan I'm sure wasn't used to.

I could feel it building, the knot at the base of my penis gradually tightening as the pace changed to a more animalistic speed.

Nathan must have known I was close as he came onto the floor below us, the white fluid hitting the bathroom tiles as his arse tightened around me, hooking me in further as each pulse of his orgasm finally hit home.

That sent me over the edge and a deep, quiet growl escaped my mouth as I continued to fuck him into the granite below him, several pulses flooding into him.

After a short moment, I removed myself from him, getting dressed and telling him to do the same.

“Clean yourself up and the bathroom, and don't disturb me again,” I heard myself tell him. The regret flooded my mind—I knew I shouldn't have done that. But what else could I have done?

There's plenty more! This is just the beginning for Nathan, all will be written in a side branch for the story. Cal is currently out the picture, but where will be revealed next chapter!

The heavy click of the bathroom door locking behind me sounded less like a boundary set and more like a cell closing.

I walked back into my main office, my strides stiff, the slick weight of sweat cooling against my skin beneath my crisp shirt. Moving behind the mahogany desk, I didn't sit. I just gripped the dark leather edge of my chair, staring blindly out the floor-to-ceiling windows at the skyline.

The brief, artificial high of taking control was gone, replaced instantly by a hollow, sickening drop in my chest.

It hadn't numbed the noise. It had amplified it.

Behind me, the private bathroom door clicked open.

Nathan stepped out into the office. He had put his clothes back together, but the illusion of his bold confidence was completely shattered. His hair was messy, his tie was slightly crooked, and his face was pale, save for the high, splotchy flush on his neck. He wouldn't meet my eyes. He kept his head down, quickly adjusting his glasses with a trembling hand as he moved toward the main entrance, his shoes making a quiet, nervous sound on the carpet.

He didn't say a word. He unlocked the deadbolt, slipped out into the hallway, and let the heavy door shut behind him with a soft thud.

Silence returned to the room. Absolute, suffocating silence.

I sank down into my leather chair, burying my face in my hands. My palms were still rough, my pulse still elevated, but my mind was stuck in an alleyway on the side of an industrial road—watching Cal’s back disappear into the dark.

Reaching across the mahogany surface, I picked up my phone, fully expecting the same lifeless black display that had tormented me for the last three days.

Instead, the screen lit up—and my heart stopped cold.

3 Missed Calls: Callum

2 New Messages: Callum

My thumb hovered over the glass, a sharp wave of nausea crashing over me as I opened the inbox.

Matt, I’m sorry. I shouldn't have pushed you. I shouldn't have run.

I swallowed hard, my grip tightening on the casing until my knuckles turned white. I tapped the second text.

I'm at your place. My dad just came at me, Matt... he attacked me. Please call me when you get this.

A sharp, violent blow hit my chest as the timestamps registered in my mind.

14 minutes ago. 11 minutes ago. 8 minutes ago.

?The calls and texts hadn't just come through while I was at my desk. They had come through during those exact fifteen minutes.

While Cal was bleeding, while he was scrambling away from his father's fists in a blind panic, desperately reaching out to the one person he thought was his sanctuary... I was locked in an executive bathroom with a twenty-year-old intern, letting my own fucked-up impulse take the wheel.

If I had just picked up the phone... if I hadn't succumbed to the desperate need for control... I could have heard his voice. I could have gotten to him before his father laid a hand on him.

The contrast was disgusting. Cal had run to my house battered and broken, trusting me completely to protect him, while the faint scent of foreign cologne and the ghost of cold marble tile still clung to my suit.

A surge of adrenaline hit me like ice water, completely wiping away the lingering haze of what had just happened in the bathroom. I forced the guilt, the memory of Nathan, and the slick dirt of my own reckless mistake into the darkest corner of my mind. I couldn't afford to unravel now. Cal needed a rock, not a man falling apart under his own hypocrisy.

I stood up, smoothed down the front of my jacket, and grabbed my keys. My thumb typed out a rapid, steady reply as I headed for the private elevator.

“I'm on my way. Stay inside the gate. Five minutes.”

The drive across town was a blur of high speeds and tight maneuvers. My hands were clamped around the Audi’s leather wheel, my knuckles stark white. Every shadow outside the window felt hostile, every second delay agonizing.

By the time I swung the car onto my street, the sun had fully set, casting deep violet shadows across the pavement.

I pulled up to the driveway, and the headlights cut through the gloom to illuminate the front gate.

Cal was there.

He was leaning heavily against the brick pillar, his posture hunched and defensive. As the car rolled to a stop, the light caught the left side of his face—the dark, swollen purple already blooming across his cheekbone, the subtle split in his lower lip, and the torn collar of his denim jacket. He looked pale, breathing in shallow, guarded hitches as if his ribs were bruised beneath his clothes.

My stomach dropped into a cold abyss.

I cut the engine, grabbed my keys, and stepped out into the evening air. The metal gate clicked open under my hand.

At the sound, Cal snapped his head up. His dark eyes locked onto mine—shadowed, terrified, and completely stripped of his usual pride. He took two unsteady steps forward, his hands coming out of his pockets, trembling slightly in the chill.

"Matt," he rasped, his voice cracked and raw. "I... I didn't know where else to go."

"Cal," I murmured, bridging the gap between us instantly.

I reached out, my hands moving automatically to steady him—my left hand taking his upper arm, my right hovering gently near his jaw, keeping my touch soft so I wouldn't hurt the bruising on his face.

Cal flinched slightly at first—a knee-jerk defense mechanism—before realizing it was me. He let out a long, shuddering breath, his forehead dropping forward until it hit my shoulder, his broad frame sagging against mine like he’d finally run out of steam. His arms came around my torso, his fingers digging into the back of my suit jacket with terrifying strength.

"He lost it, Matt," Cal gasping against my neck, his chest heaving violently. "He came back to the house... started screaming about you, about what I was becoming... and when I told him I don't label myself and that we are something and I've already accepted myself, he snapped. He came right at me."

I wrapped my arms firmly around his back, pulling him into my chest, shielding him against the cold driveway. Hearing him say those words—that he had stood up to his father, that he had claimed us and accepted who he was—sent a surge of profound pride through my chest. But it was instantly crushed beneath the sickening, agonizing weight of where I had been while he was fighting that battle for us.

He had put everything on the line, and I had nearly thrown it all away in an office bathroom.

I held him close, feeling the frantic, uneven thud of his heart through his torn jacket.

"Matt?" Cal murmured into the crook of my neck, sensing the rigid stiffness that had overtaken my body. His grip on my jacket loosened slightly, his dark, swollen eyes looking up into mine with raw, unshielded worry. "You okay? You're shaking."

I swallowed down the bile, forcing every ounce of self-loathing down into a dark, locked chest in the back of my mind. I smoothed my hand over the back of his head, gently tucking his face back into my shoulder so he couldn't see the terror and guilt fracturing my expression.

"I'm fine," I lied, my voice a gravelly, fragile rumble. "I'm just so proud of you, Cal... and so damn angry at what he did to you."

I tightened my arms around him, carrying the suffocating weight of the truth alone in the dark driveway, knowing that the real monster in this story wasn't just standing outside his father's house.

"You're safe here," I whispered, my tone low, steady, and unyielding. "I've got you, Cal. Let's get you inside.”

I guided Cal through the front door, keeping a firm arm around his waist to bear part of his weight. The quiet warmth of the house washed over us, a stark contrast to the bitter chill of the driveway.

I led him straight to the kitchen, helping him sit down on one of the high stools at the marble island. Up under the bright overhead lights, the damage was even clearer—a deep, angry purple bruise swelling his cheekbone, a bead of dried blood at the corner of his lip, and the subtle, painful way he guarded his ribs on his left side.

"Stay right here," I murmured, my voice kept strictly composed. "I'm getting the ice pack and the kit."

I brought back a wrapped gel pack and a small first-aid box, stepping between his knees as he sat on the stool. Cal didn't pull away this time; he just tilted his head up, his heavy, dark eyes tracking my every movement as I gently pressed the cold pack against his face. He let out a sharp, quiet hitch of breath at the initial shock, but his hand came up to rest over mine, holding the pack in place.

"He's never done that before," Cal rasped, his voice barely above a whisper in the silent kitchen. "He's screamed, he's thrown things... but he's never hit me. Not like that."

My heart squeezed, a fresh wave of sick guilt twisting in my chest. I reached into the first-aid box for an antiseptic wipe, gently dabbing at the split on his lip.

"You stood your ground, Cal," I said softly, my thumb brushing the edge of his jaw. "You claimed who you are, and you refused to let him dictate your life. That took an incredible amount of strength."

Cal stared up at me, his gaze intense, raw, and completely unguarded. "I only had the strength to say it because of you, Matt. I've gone days thinking what I did over to you near the tracks in that alley, I'm so sorry. I didn’t know what was I doing now without you, I felt lost, but standing in that room, looking at him... I realized I'd rather lose his approval than lose whatever this is between us."

The words hit me like a physical blow. The absolute purity of his devotion, juxtaposed against the ghost of Nathan's touch still lingering under my collar, felt like a slow poison.

Cal reached up with his free hand, catching my wrist. He pulled my hand away from his face, turning his cheek to press a soft, fervent kiss into the palm of my hand.

"I know we said it was moving fast," Cal murmured, his dark eyes locking onto mine with an unwavering intensity. "I know we were scared. But I don't want to run anymore. And I damn sure don't want to go back to that house after tonight. I want to be here. With you."

"Cal..." My voice fractured slightly, the weight of the secret pressing heavily against my throat.

"No, listen to me," he pressed, leaning forward until his forehead rested against mine, his warm breath fanning across my lips. "I'm done hiding. I'm done being afraid of what my dad thinks, or what the world thinks. You're my home now, Matt."

He closed the small gap between us, pressing his split lip against mine in a kiss that was slow, bruised, and aching with absolute trust.

I kissed him back, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and pulling him flush against my chest, yielding to the warmth of his body. Every beat of his heart against mine felt like a gift I didn't deserve, a sanctuary built on a foundation of hidden cracks.

When he finally pulled back, resting his chin on my shoulder with a deep, shuddering sigh of relief, I held him tight, staring blindly into the quiet darkness of the hallway. I knew that keeping this piece of peace meant carrying the heaviest secret of my life—and keeping him away from his father's temper was the only priority that mattered.

"Move in, Cal," I whispered into his hair.

Telford

Cal went completely still against my shoulder. For a long, silent moment, the only sound in the house was the faint hum of the refrigerator and the steady, heavy cadence of our breathing.

Then, he slowly pulled back, his broad hands coming up to grip my upper arms. His dark eyes searched my face, wide with a mixture of disbelief, shock, and a sudden, overwhelming emotion that made his split lip quiver slightly.

"Matt..." Cal breathed, his voice thick and raspy. "Are you… you serious?"

"I've never been more serious about anything," I said, forcing my voice to hold firm, anchoring us both even as my throat burned with the unspoken truth of what I had done hours earlier. "I don't want you going back to that house. I don't want you looking over your shoulder wondering when he's going to turn up again. Bring your things here. Take the space you need, for as long as you need it."

A shaky, disbelieving laugh escaped Cal's throat, blending into a quiet sob. He leaned back in, burying his face into the crook of my neck, his fingers digging tight into the fabric of my suit jacket like he was afraid if he let go, the offer would vanish.

"Okay," Cal murmured, his breath hot and damp against my skin. "Okay. Yeah. I'm, moving in."

I held him tight, wrapping my arms around his back and closing my eyes. The relief radiating off him was palpable, warm and honest—and every second of it felt like a silent knife turning in my gut. He was trusting me with his safety, his heart, and his future, entirely unaware of the storm waiting for us at Vanguard Global the moment the sun came up.

The silence of the house settled heavily around us as we lay in the quiet darkness of my bedroom later that night.

Cal was resting against my chest, one heavy arm draped securely over my waist, his breathing finally slowing into a deep, steady rhythm. The warmth of his body pressed against mine felt like an anchor, but every time my eyes adjusted to the shadows and caught the dark, swollen bruise on his cheekbone, the guilt twisted inside me like cold iron.

He had stood up to his father. He had claimed us, claimed who he was, and chosen me as his sanctuary. And while he was taking fists for that choice, desperately calling my phone for help... I was locked in an executive bathroom at Vanguard, burning off my own reckless panic with Nathan.

My chest tightened until breathing hurt. The urge to confess—to strip off the mask, lay everything bare, and bleed out the truth—was a roaring flame in my throat. I wanted to tell him. I wanted to be clean

Tell him. Tell him what you did.

I looked down at the top of Cal’s head, my fingers lightly resting in his dark hair. His thumb brushed lazily against the fabric of my shirt in his sleep, his posture completely relaxed for the first time in days.

And that was when the cold reality hit me.

If I confessed right now, I wouldn't be saving Cal; I’d be saving myself. I’d be dumping the weight of my own hypocritical mistake onto a man who had been battered physically and emotionally only hours ago. Hearing the truth tonight wouldn't heal anything—it would break the only safe haven he had left.

"Matt?" Cal murmured, his voice thick with sleep as he felt the sudden, rigid tension running through my frame. He shifted slightly, resting his chin on my chest and squinting up at me in the dim light. "You still awake?"

I swallowed down the bile, forcing my executive mask back into place—smoother, tighter, and heavier than ever before. I brought my hand up, gently smoothing back the hair from his forehead, keeping my touch soft so I wouldn't agitate his jaw.

"Just thinking," I lied softly, my tone low and steady.

Cal let out a soft, contented sigh, sinking back down into my collarbone and tucking his face into the crook of my neck. "About what?"

"About getting your stuff from your place tomorrow," I murmured, wrapping both arms around him and holding him close against the dark. "About making sure you never have to go back there."

"Yeah..." Cal rasped, his arm tightening around my waist, his breath hot against my skin. "I like the sound of that."

Within minutes, his breathing evened out again, heavy and peaceful against my chest.

I lay wide awake in the dark, staring up at the ceiling, carrying the crushing weight of the secret alone. The peace in the room was real for him, but for me, it was built on hidden cracks—and I knew the moment the sun came up and I stepped back into Vanguard, the bill for that bathroom door would eventually come due.

The next morning, I made the decision before I even got out of bed.

With Cal sleeping heavily beside me, his bruised face finally resting in peace, the thought of stepping onto the floor at Vanguard Global—of walking past Nathan’s desk, of putting on the corporate suit while Cal packed up his life alone—was impossible.

I reached carefully for my phone on the nightstand, keeping my movements silent so as not to wake him. Tapping out a brief, decisive message, I sent it straight to my executive assistant.

“Reschedule all my meetings for today. Forward all pending contract signings directly to your desk. I am empowering you to make executive decisions on my behalf for the remainder of the day. I won't be in the office.”

She was sharp, relentless, and more than capable of holding the fort without me. I trusted her implicitly to keep the machinery of Vanguard running smoothly in my absence.

Setting the phone back down, I let out a long breath. For one day, Vanguard could wait. The looming shadow of Nathan, the lingering guilt, and the corporate fallout could all sit behind locked doors until tomorrow.

Right now, my only priority was standing beside Cal, helping him pack up his life, and bringing him safely home.

The silence of the bedroom was absolute, save for the soft, steady rhythm of Cal’s breathing beside me.

The morning light filtered through the blinds, casting long, pale stripes across the bed. It caught the side of Cal’s face, illuminating the severe purple swelling along his cheekbone and the split on his lip. Every detail was a stark, brutal reminder of what he had endured—and where I had been when it happened.

I lay on my back, staring up at the ceiling, my arm numb beneath the weight of Cal’s shoulder.

The guilt wasn't just a heavy feeling anymore; it was a physical ache in my throat, a cold, sharp blade twisting in my gut every time he shifted against me. I had built my entire life on control, on being the unshakeable force that held everything together. Yet, in a single ten-minute lapse of blind, pathetic weakness in an executive bathroom, I had shattered that foundation.

‘He took a fist from his father for us,’ I thought, my chest tightening until it hurt to breathe. ‘He claimed me as his. And while he was bleeding, begging me to pick up the phone... I was with Nathan.’

The regret was suffocating. If I could have traded every dollar, every piece of influence I owned to undo those ten minutes, I would have done it in a heartbeat. But time didn't work like that. The scent of foreign cologne was gone from my skin, but the stain on my conscience was permanent.

I knew I couldn't keep this from him forever. A secret like this was a landmine planted beneath the floorboards of the home we were supposed to build together. If he found out from someone else—if Nathan opened his mouth at Vanguard, or if the rumor mill caught wind of it—it would destroy Cal completely. It would kill the raw, miraculous trust he had just placed in my hands.

I have to tell him, I realized, my jaw clenching in the quiet room. Not today. Not while he’s still bleeding from his father’s fists, and not while he’s trying to gather the pieces of his life.

I had to wait for the right moment. I had to let him get settled, let him feel secure, and choose a time when he had the strength to hear it. I would carry the burning coals of this secret alone for as long as it took to protect him, even if the weight tore me apart from the inside out.

Beside me, the sheets rustled.

It turned just past ten that I felt movement—Cal stirring, his hand blindly reaching out toward the nightstand for his phoneI shifted slightly, propping myself up on one elbow as Cal stirred beside me. In the soft morning light filtering through the blinds, his cheekbone looked even darker—a deep, painful violet—and he winced as he reached blindly for his phone on the nightstand.

I gently caught his wrist before he could strain himself, guiding the phone into his hand so he didn't have to reach.

“Morning," I murmured, my voice low and thick with sleep. "How are you feeling?"

Cal blinked up at me, his dark eyes slightly hazy as his brain caught up with the morning. He brought the phone close to his face, squinting at the screen. "Shit. It's past ten," he rasped, his voice rough. He tried to sit up quickly, a sharp intake of breath cutting through the air as his bruised ribs protested. "Matt, why didn't you wake me? You're going to be late for work—"

"I'm not going in today," I cut in softly, resting a hand on his shoulder to keep him from moving too fast. "I rescheduled my meetings and handed off my signings to my assistant for the day."

Cal froze, looking up at me in disbelief, his phone still held loosely in his hand. "You took the day off? For me?"

"To help you move," I corrected gently, offering him a quiet, reassuring smile. "So, morning... you ready for the day ahead?"

Frome

A fabulous story, but Oh what a Webb he did weave as he was practicing to deceive.

I'm very much looking forward to reading about Cal and Matt's future. And also the side story of Nathan. I do hope that Matt doesn't lose his position at Vanguard Global.

Thank you so very much for writing this.
