Anyone else really getting tired of those guys who, are all up for a meet then start to make excuses before the day? “Sorry circumstances have changed” or “Will have to see” or “oh damn I forget my wife/gf has something I can’t get out of” look just simply say “I’ve changed my mind” or @ I dint have e the courage”. It’s frustrating when you put others off and then find the guy backs out.

Yes, happened to me on Monday, very rare night away with work. Hotel room and a meet arranged. Messaged during the day and time confirmed.

Waited without chasing up to be polite, after a reasonable time sent message and got a reply, sorry still at work something came up won't make it. By this time, too late to find another for some fun. Wasted opportunity.

I agree. But, on saying that, I have genuinely had to cancel meets, but always tried to re-arrange. When that has happened, there is a distinct lack of interest and once i was blocked. The people who chicken out have made life difficult for those of us who genuinely need to postpone.

I’m not defending time wasters but it sounds as though they are at least letting you know and not just failing to turn up.

You also say they are backing out “before the day” so you aren’t exactly inconvenienced.

If you are having to “put others off” then you are clearly getting plenty of offers. It sounds like you are choosing the wrong guys.
