My beautiful Dylan....

I hugged him all night and when the alarm went off in the morning I was still hugging him or should I say 'spooning' him?

We got showered and dressed and was sitting on the sofa drinking our first of many cappuccinos of the day, when their was a light tap on the door......

I opened it and saw Liam standing their....

I let him in and I saw the non verbal communication between him and Dylan....a slight nod of the heads.

The fucker knew.....

I asked Liam straight out.....

"You know don't you?"

Liam couldn't look me in the eye, he just looked at Dylan and nodded his head.

I didn't say no more because there was nothing more to say about it.

I wasn't angry as I remembered Liam giving me a bollocking about me asking about a medical condition of one of the lads before, with him saying "that's confidential, if he wants you to know he will tell you.

Its not my place to say anything unless the health and safety of the others and the hotel is at risk"

The 3 of us walked down for breakfast....

I saw Harry hug Dylan and again the nod of heads.....

He knew as well.....

It must have been really difficult for Harry not to tell me to be honest.

Harry looked at me and I saw his red, wet eyes and he came over and hugged me saying..."he will be ok Dad, I just know it, a gut feeling"

I hugged him back.....

Now the 4 of us had wet eyes just as Morgan bounced in saying "morning"

He looked around, saw us 4 with wet eyes and burst into tears !!!

For fucks sakes!!

That of course started a chain reaction, resulting in the 5 of us crying!!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭

Part 3140

So....

There was us 5 soppy sods crying...

Then all of a sudden.....

Soppy sod, number 5, Morgan, suddenly realised he didn't know why he was crying!!!

"Why are we all crying for? Wots happened?"

Soppy sod number 3, Harry, replied..

"Because we so pleased to see you Morgan, thats why mate!"

Soppy sod number 5 actually believed him and stopped crying and said thanks, that was nice to hear... he then disappeared into the kitcen to say hello to the breakfast lads and then came out and sat down at the table!!

Anyway the others came in so we all took our seats...

Merv and Pat came out of the kitchen and told us that breakfast was...

"a high-protein breakfast Quesadilla, with fluffy scrambled eggs, lean breakfast sausage, and cheese, that has over 30 grams of protein per serving!"

And delicious and filling it was...

09.15am....

Arlo came into my office saying the local college has come up trumps again and have recommended 2 lads for the photographer position.

The college vice principal said one of them already has experience as a wedding photographer and also experienced in fashion photo shoots as he managed to get these by getting a hands on work experience as part of his course.....

Tonight is this big dinner dance/wine tasting evening that Aiden organised for the wine and cheese shop.

The crafty bugger has already sold more than enough wines at a one off discount price that has covered the full cost of the meal and the tasting of the wines. Plus he charged the 100 guests £10 a ticket for the evening!!

What a bugger!! But by god I love him and his business acumen!!

The candidate with the work experience was being interviewed in about an hours time....

09.30am....

The photographer candidate arrives.

A young lad aged 22, blond short hair, about 6' tall, average build. Both ears pierced with diamond studs.

I didn't realise that Darren had the day off and was with Arlo interviewing this lad.

45 minutes later Darren came out and asked to speak to me.......

He told me that Kyle, the lads name, certainly knows his stuff and answered most of the questions correctly and knows about cameras, developing film, digital re-makes, lighting etc etc.

I went into Arlo's office and got introduced to him...

Kyle showed me his portfolio of photos he has taken etc and even had his own camera equipment with him in the case he brought with him.

Darren was impressed with the camera and its accessories. It was a Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera with Z 24-120mm f/4 S Lens. An ideal wedding camera and worth about £4,000!!!

Darren had his business proposal in his hand and opened it to the page of 'equipment needed' and their in black and white was a Nikon Z8 camera.... Kyle had the exact camera that Darren suggested!!!

Kyle was so enthusiastic about the role and really pleased that he got an interview!!

Aiden interrupted us, apologising for the intrusion, asking us if it was possible for him to add another 16 people for the event tonight...I told him as long as the kitchen agrees and have enough food then yes.

Kyle asked if we had an event tonight?

Arlo explained what it was and being a black tie event for local hotels and businesses to celebrate the opening of our new wine and cheese shop with a wine tasting session to get them to buy their fine wines from us!

Kyle asked if he could attend the event tonight with his camera and take some photos of the wine and cheese and of the event itself in general so we can judge 1st hand what he can do......

Arlo looked at me and nodded. I nodded back saying "I think that's a good idea. I'll pay you £15 an hour Kyle and want to see your finished photos downloaded onto a USB, so we can see them and use them for our advertising. We want the copyright on the photos"......

Kyle smile, "what time you want me here in my penguin suit then?"

"7pm to about 11pm please and yes in your penguin suit and bowtie please"

Part 3141

Later on in the day Dylan told me that he has his biopsy tomorrow midday and Tony is going to take him.

Liam and Morgan will have to cover for him and work a bit harder which they have agreed too....

Morgan was of course upset when Dylan eventually told him why he was going to be off work.

Scott and Gordon were busy getting the wine that had been sold onto the correct tables and also getting the wine tasters ready.

Extra waiters had been called in and the kitchen was preparing the canapes and the main course, which was Beef Wellington, a Tender beef fillet wrapped in mushrooms, prosciutto, and puff pastry.

6.30pm....

Kyle arrives in jeans and a teeshirt carrying his camera case.

He asked if he could get changed somewhere and Arlo took him up to his flat as he and Brandon also needed to get into their dress suits.

The 3 of them came down, all looking very smart indeed.

I introduced Kyle to Scott and Gordon....he wanted to take some photos of the shop, the wine and cheese and of the function room lay out...

Tony volunteered to chaperone Kyle and show him around....

They disappeared.....

At 7.45pm the event guests started to arrive and was shown to their nominated tables by John, Henry, Ian and Sam....

As the event was underway via Scott introducing himself and explaining what the night is all about, the starters were being served... cured salmon with dill and crème fraîche.

After this the waiters poured 2 small glasses of white and 2 small glasses of red in front of the guests.

I could see Kyle taking photos in the background.....

He kind of mingled in with the guests and waiters and was inconspicuous....you wouldn't know he was taking photos.

I liked his professionalism, in fact I liked it a lot.....

The evening was a major success and Scott and Gordon managed to sell another, about £4,000 of fine wines!

Kyle said he would have the photos etc ready by tomorrow night.

The event guests got to their 'carriages' mainly taxis or friends picking them up and they were gone.

We are headed to the bar for a well earned drink, on me of course.

Kyle was introduced to the others who all were introduced in what photos he had taken!

Kyle was a friendly go happy lad who mixed well with the other lads...

Of course he was given the 3rd degree on what he does, his home life, etc etc. Especially from Harry!!

He stood his ground well.... very well in fact, when Alex asked him if he was gay!!

His answer kind of shocked me to be honest....

He seemed to know a lot about the hotel? He knew about the 'blue light gay weekenders' we hold. He knew about the coffee shop, the business centre, the car sales, the laser clay shoot, the Flowery, the storage centre and the Drones.? And he knew about the staff flats and the majority of the lads here being gay?

He certainly has done his homework on us!!

Anyway, bedtime for me....

I cuddled my lovely Dylan throughout the night and got up before the alarm rang, so I let Dylan sleep in, as he's having his biopsy today at 12 noon.

I got to reception and took over from Simon and let him go...

Half hour later Aj appeared...

The talk of the day was going to be Kyle by the sounds of it. He certainly made an impression last night.

10.00am....

The 2nd and last candidate for the position in the photography studio arrived.

They say you can judge a person within 10 seconds of seeing and talking to them?

He was wearing jeans, sweatshirt and trainers. He had hair below his shoulders(!)

He couldn't even remember who was coming to see! Other than its a job as a photographer. Piss poor to be honest.

Now, as you are probably aware, Arlo takes no prisoners and says what he thinks! This is going to be interesting to say the least, so I just smiled at him and let him handle this lad....

Let's put it this way....this lad was in and out within 10 minutes!

Arlo and Darren showed this lad out and both looked at me....

Arlo told me that he was sure the local college deliberately picks the best candidates and the worse candidates for consideration.

10.30am....

My lovely Dylan comes down with Tony. He kisses me goodbye and tells me not too worry and he will see me soon. Tony gives me a hug and says he will look after him.....

I watched them walk out and as Dylan got to the doors, he turned to face me, waved and smiled....I saw the fear etched into his face.

I went into my office, closed the door, sat down and buried my head into my hands....

I cried......

I cried for a good 10 minutes...

I heard a knock on my office door, dried my eyes and said "come in"

Leo came in and immediately gave me a huge hug...."Dylans strong Jason, he will fight this like their is no tomorrow."

John and Henry then came in, saw me with wet eyes and Leo hugging me and apologised and said they will come back.....

I told them to sit down....

They have already started on the barn that will house the new photo studio and have plasterboarded all the walls and will paint them white later on after they have cleaned the floor.

They have also ordered all the 'scenery' that was on Arlo's and Darren's list and that will be here in a couple of days.... they certainly don't hang about them 2!

I managed to hang on in their, as they say, until I noticed the clock flicking over to 1.00pm

My mobile rang, frightening the life out of me and making me jump 10 foot in the air.....

I saw the screen on my phone telling me that Dylan was ringing me!

"Dylan, I love you mate, are you ok?"

He told me that the consultant looked at his lump and decided the best way forward was to use only a 'local' anaesthetic and not a 'general one, to do the biopsy.

Within the hour I saw him and Tony walk through the front doors. I was so relieved....

Dylan told me that the results will come through within a week and that he has to rest for 48 hours and can shower after 24 hours. He had 5 stitches which are the dissolvable kind which should drop out after about 7 days.

I could tell he was in pain....Tony told me that Liam has given him strict instructions that he will be looking after the pain relief medicine and making sure that Dylan takes it!

I then saw Dylan walk towards the kitchen!!!!

"Oh you, flat, now! for the next 2 days you are resting! No excuses and your banned from the kitchen!"

Dylan growled at me and I knew he was going to ignore me so I gave him one of 'my looks' and he realised I was being deadly serious and then turned round and went to our flat.

Harry was in charge of the kitchen and Liam and Morgan were working a bit harder covering for the absence of Dylan, as were all the kitchen staff....

Before I knew it, it was 4.00pm

Kyle walked through the front doors dressed in a nice jacket and trousers....

He was smiling from ear to ear...

He said he has downloaded the photos and put them in relevant folders for us to view...

I called Arlo and Darren, who was off duty but still on call, and Kyle showed us the finished results.

The photos he took were outstanding and Arlo said we can use these for advertising and marketing purposes.

Its difficult to explain...but you know when you look at a picture and immediately fall in love with it? Thats the photos he took...they attracted your attention?

I asked Kyle if he could wait outside for a few minutes.... I showed him the reception sofas and asked Aj to get him a drink please.

Me, Arlo and Darren had a conversation and Arlo came up with another idea concerning Kyle....

We called Kyle back in.....

"Kyle, we have had a rethink about the position in the photostudio. But we feel you will be wasted just in their.....so if it is acceptable to you we want to offer you an extra £1,500.00 per year and not only undertake the duties in the new studio but also work for the marketing team here, doing all the photography they need for their adverts and brochures etc?"

Kyle immediately stood up and had his hand out for me to shake in micro seconds!!

Leo then came in with the new amended contract of employment.

Kyle signed it but I had to stop him as he hadn't read the terms and conditions!! He did read them and we both signed..

Congratulations Kyle.....

Darren told him he can start first thing in the morning and if he wants to stay for evening meal tonight he can.

Darren showed him what fixtures and fittings are arriving and that he will leave the design of the studio with him to liase with John and Henry.

Kyle told us that he would prefer to use his own camera...thus saving us £4,250 for another identical one? The back up camera would be Darren's work camera if needed.....

I like Kyle!!

Kyle was so excited about joining the staff here and then said....

"I've heard their is a evening meal table tradition for new staff? I don't care wot it is!! Just tell me and I'll do it!!"

Famous last words Kyle!

But you will get to learn!

Hello..

KYLE here now....

First of all, thank you for your messages and Dm's welcoming me to the hotel story....much appreciated.

So Jason has said I can write something if I wanted.....

Ok...

My names Kyle, I joined the hotel a year ago aged 22.

As I'm writing this, its obvious I'm still at the hotel!!

I'm not just saying this, but I really do love the hotel and my job!

I was so chuffed that I got an interview for the position in the new photography studio and even more when I got the job, especially when the job description changed and the salary attracted another £1500 a year.

Now a bit of a confession!!!

Yes I knew a lot about the hotel as Jason said "I've done my homework" and already knew about the Flowery, the Tannery, the Business Centre, the storage centre, the car sales, the wedding cars, the clay shooting, the coffee shop, the wine and cheese shop and the Drones!

At the time of my interview nobody realised that my 'Uncle Simon' told me all about the hotel and that and what goes on with the naked parties the gay weekenders !!!!

Yes you're guessed it.....

'Uncle Simon' is the night porter at the hotel!

When he found out I got the interview he told me all about the hotel...

I asked him to put in a good word for me but the bugger refused!! He said "if you get the job it will be down to you and your attitude and your brilliant skills as a photographer"....

I was annoyed with him at the time but now realised why he said that?

Darren told me that when Jason found out that Simon, my mums brother, was my Uncle he asked him why he didn't say anything? Apparently Simon told Jason he didn't want to influence the decision on who gets the job!

When I first joined the hotel I was living with my Brother and his wife, my sister in law, at their house and had lived with them since I was 15.

Please forgive me for not saying why I ended up living with my brother, who is 10 years older than me, as its deeply personal and was at the time a horrific experience for the whole family.....

Anyway, enough of that shit.....

So now I work in the photo studio as well as being the official photographer for the hotel wedding packages and also the marketing departments (Arlo and Aaron) photographer for all their adverts and marketing campaigns. It certainly keeps me busy!!!

When I got offered the job and I was invited to stay for evening meal I got wot the lads call a touch of 'harry-itus' by saying I've heard that their is a 'table tradition' for new staff and I stupidly said "no matter wot it is I will do it"

Bad mistake......

I was told wot it was just before evening meal and I don't mind admitting I nearly shit myself!!

Strip butt naked and stand on a chair with my hands on my head for everybody to see all my glory?

KYLE.....still writing...

After hearing wot the table tradition was, I suddenly felt ill!!

Ok.. I'm no prude and have seen other lads naked in the showers after sports and gym, but this is a different kettle of fish!!

As I've said, Uncle Simon told me wot the lads get up too and most live together in the staff flats and quarters so I expected I would have to get naked sooner or later?

Arlo kindly said that if I wanted I could have a shower in his flat instead of the gym showers?

I took him up on his offer as I wanted to see wot the staff flats looked like.....

I was very impressed!!!

Brandon was their and I was introduced to him...he was wearing just a pair of shorts!!

It was explained to me that shorts and sliders were most lads choice of off duty dress!!

Bloody hells bells !!

I didn't bring any change of clothing with me, but will remind myself that I should do in future and keep the 'overnight' bag in my car just in case.

Brandon asked if I'm doing the table tradition? I told him that I'm very nervous about that to be honest?

A knock on the door and Darren came in...he also was wearing just a tee shirt, shorts and sliders on his feet!!

He had in his hands a pair of shorts, a tee shirt and a pair of sliders.....he said I could borrow them if I'm doing the table tradition as their easy to remove and put back on..Just 2 items!!

Brandon told him I was nervous....

Darren said he would do it with me at the same time if I wanted!!

Arlo also said he would as well!!

He went on too say that he might propose to the others that if we have a new member of staff at the table, then that lads 'manager' should do the tradition with him to make him feel more comfortable about it?

Darren agreed saying....

"Thats a good idea mate...and makes sense...and in Kyle's case, as he works for the photo studio and the marketing department, we, as his managers should do it with him?"

I took the clothing from Darren and went and had a shower.

I came out wearing the tee shirt, shorts and sliders.

Brandon commented on my physique and said it was obvious I use the gym but was a bit 'white' so he told me to come and see him in the Tannery for a spray tan!!

Arlo went for a shower and he also came out in just a tee shirt, shorts and sliders.....

I must confess I did feel a bit better knowing that Arlo and Darren were stripping naked with me at the dinner table, but still extremely nervous....

It was now evening meal time and we left the flat and headed to the dining room......

As we sat down, Tony asked me if I knew about the table tradition and whether I was going to do it?

Arlo told him his suggestion of the new staff's manager idea...

Jesus, the dining table was heaving with about 30 lads!

Tony done a well done speech for the day and introduced me to the lads. They all banged on the table saying 'welcome' or 'hi'...

I thought that was nice.....

Tony explained the purpose of the table tradition etc....it made sense to me now I know why its done and felt a lot better......

He then proposed that in future the new lads department manager should do the tradition with the lad... again the lads banged the table saying "hear, hear, good idea"

Oh god...the time had come for me to 'man up' and do it or bottle out!

Both Arlo and Darren nodded at me and stood on their chairs and removed their tee shirts...

Oh my god!!!

Yes...I did the table tradition!!!

It wasn't as bad as I thought and thanks to Arlo and Darren for starting it off to give me the guts to do it....

Well chuffed I was.......

The lads clapped and banged the table as we got dressed back into our shorts and tee shirts.

Dinner was not only unusual but fantastic!

Kyle's brother and sister in law arrive to take him home as they wouldn't let him drive in he's had a drink...

My god....Even though there is nearly 10 years age difference between them their like 2 peas in a pod! (That was Dylan's saying!!) And were obviously brothers.

When I was in my induced coma Sue used to talk to me throughout the night, thinking I couldn't hear her..

I could hear every word even though I couldn't respond.

I was trapped in my own mind and couldn't move whatsoever.

And yes....she used to bed bath me every night....

She used to tell me about her life, how her day was going and constantly encouraged me to fight for my life. In fact she pleaded for me to survive as I had a lot more to offer the world.

When I saw her standing their in reception my brain went into overdrive for a couple of seconds b4 I recognised her.

If it wasn't for her, I don't think I would have woken up in all honesty.

We hugged....and then I cried...

Now for a bit of a confession, but I won't say too much .......

When Sue, her husband and Kyle left, I went back to the bar and obviously my mind raced back to me laying in that hospital bed....

I started crying again as I remembered Sue telling me about why she now has her brother in law living with her... that being Kyle!

Oh my god.....

My lovely Luke wrapped his arms around me asking if I was ok?

I started shaking but managed to say I was just reminiscing but I'm ok.

I asked him if we could go back to our flat....

Next morning...

05.30am....

I was in reception to relieve Simon of his shift, but Aj had beat me to it and Simon was handing over the keys etc to him.

Then Kyle and his brother, Kevin, came in.....

Kevin dropped Kyle off as Kyle left his car here last night.

Joe then told me that part of the offer includes a NDA. Thats a 'non disclosure agreement' meaning we would be unable to talk about what happened or how much was paid to us!!

Now I knew I had them on the back foot, and it wasn't about the money, it was about my hotel and staffs reputation.

I told Joe to tell them I'll accept the offer WITHOUT a NDA or I want another £100,000 with the NDA or I'll see them in court!

I was getting a bit stressed and Leo told me to get myself off to the gym and have a nice relaxing massage off William...

Good idea....

As I was heading to the gym, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Dylan sneaking in the direction of the kitchen!

I waited for Harry to tell me, as no way I was going to ask him(!) When their was a knock on the office door. It was Arlo and Kyle.....

They both saw Harry really upset and apologised saying they will come back.....

Harry looked at them and asked Kyle to come in.....

Arlo took the hint and went into his office.

Kyle was now upset and asked if he had done anything wrong?

Readers have speculated why I'm living with my Brother and some have asked me that when I feel comfortable with sharing it, they would like to know!!

You lot really are nosey!!

My parents were loving and NO I was NOT abused by them or anybody else.

Jason has told me that I don't have to share any information that I feel uncomfortable with on here, but the assumptions being made are untrue and making me feel bad hearing them.

No disrespect meant to any reader as you didn't know!

So here goes....

7 and a half years ago I was on holiday with my parents at a lovely little resort in Cyprus, staying in a apartment within a hotel resort........

I wasn't feeling too well as I had a terrific bad headache so went to bed early.

In the middle of the night I felt as sick as a dog and was feeling weak, tired, and had chest and muscle pain and a shortness of breath.

I went into my parents bedroom but couldn't arouse them at all....

I managed to get to the hotels reception.....

The next thing I knew was waking up in hospital.....I was on oxygen and had various pieces of equipment connected to me....

I was scared and calling out for my mum and dad....

The nurse and doctors, thankfully spoke English, but wouldn't tell me anything....

2 days I was in that hospital bed and then my lovely Brother and sister in law walked into my room. A beautiful sight.......

They both had what Harry calls 'wet' eyes...

I noticed that a police woman was also standing behind them.

My brother held my hand and told me what no boy wants to hear....

"Kyle, I'm so sorry but mum amd dad are dead"

I remember screaming, ripping the oxygen mask off and trying to get out of bed.....

This can't be happening....

I remember a doctor and nurse and my brother holding me down as they gave me a sedative.

I woke up a few hours later to find my brother and Sue holding my hands tightly.

I remember crying asking them how?

Apparently the gas boiler in our apartment was faulty and was leaking carbon monoxide.

My parents died of carbon monoxide poisoning and I was minutes away from dying myself. If I didn't get up to be sick and walk in the fresh air to reception.... well...you know what would have happened to me....

My brother immediately took me in and a year later the hotel was taken to court. We were awarded a considerable sum of money, but I would rather have my parents then any sum of money........

Yep its me...

The delivery lad from the Flowery, the cake bar and the wine and cheese shop!!

I'm now a very busy bee!!

Its a different themed party from those we have had in the past, so its going to be interesting to see the costumes!

WARNING !!! WARNING !!

This part contains an horrific incident that happened at the hotel last year....it is heartbreaking, upsetting, and lives were at great risk. It proves how 'low' society had become

It is also very, very hard for me to write about but I have the consent of all involved to write, although I'm nervous to do so in all honestly.

I will never forget the date or even the time....

Here goes......

Friday 19th September 2025, 11.07am.

Billy and Aj were on reception.

I was in my office.

Harry and Liam were pushing their tea trolley through reception....

Then it happened.....

2 masked men burst into reception waving a large carving knife and the other a machete.

I heard "open the fucking safe now"

Then the panic alarm on all the personal radios were activated...

I got up quickly and opened my office door to see 2 masked men. One was grabbing AJ by the throat threatening to "chop your fucking head off if the safe isn't opened now!!"

Sam came hurtling into reception and saw the 2 masked men waving their knives about....

The original readers will remember that Sam's Police career ended after he was stabbed in the leg and he had named me as his next of kin and gave me all power over him. I had to make a dreadful decision as at one point the surgeons thought they might have to amputate his leg. I gave them permission to amputate as a last resort in saving his life. For the grace of God, amputation was not in the end needed.

Sam grabbed the man holding Aj and wrestled the machete out of his hands.

At this point Tony and John was here and Tony helped Sam get this man onto the floor...

The next minute the other man made a lunge at me with his carving knife raised above his head....

I heard a scream of "NNOOOOOOO" and as the knife was coming down Harry flew across and stepped in front of me and between me and this man and pushed me backwards.....

As I was falling I noticed Harry slumping to the ground...

I've never seen so much blood in all my life spilling on the floor..

Liam jumped on this blokes back and pushed him down....

John used his martial arts skills and pinned the bloke to the floor.

Liam ripped his tee shirt off and covered Harry's back where the blood was coming from....

He screamed for the "bleed kit" which Liam had installed behind reception with the defibrillator he got last year.

A lot of the others had arrived and helped restrain these blokes.

Tom helped Liam deal with Harry...

Harry was between my legs and I hugged his head....

I thought he was dead.....but Liam told me he was still breathing and had a heart beat......

Oh god.....this is hard to write..

Then I saw 2 armed police officers run into telling everybody to keep still whilst waving, what looked like machine guns, at all of us.

Paramedics arrived quickly after and Harry was put on a stretcher and taken away....

Me, Liam and Tom was literally covered in blood....

Other police officers arrived and we were told to stay where we were...

I needed to get to the hospital but some dickstick and job worthy detective told me to stand still...

Within seconds, and I'm not joking about 25/30 of the lads stood between me and the police forming a shield. I managed to escape through the doors and ran to my car. As I was pulling away the passenger door opened and Liam got in the car head first shouting "drive!!!"

I sped away and forgot all about 'roadcraft' and overtook cars when I shouldn't have, broke the speed limit and ran 2 or 3 red traffic lights getting beeped at on numerous occasions by other road users...

We got to the hospital in record time and in one piece and I just dumped the car in a no parking area right outside the A&E.

We both flew in and their was a bit of a queue at reception.

Everybody started looking at us as we were literally covered in blood.

I didn't wait or queue and went start into the cubicle area and shouted "where's Harry, Harry Webber"

A nurse told me to wait outside but I wasn't going to take any shit from her or a bloody doctor....I wanted and needed to see Harry!

I heard a shout....."DAD!"

Another nurse waved us to cubicle 4 and we found Harry stripped to his boxers being examined by a doctor and 4 other people.....

I'm sorry...I can't write anymore at the moment.....

Its been just over a year now since that incident and I'm fine now.

Apparently the knife entered my shoulder, nicking a small artery, hence all the blood and it could have been worse if the blade tip didn't hit my shoulder blade.....

I spent 2 days in hospital having this small artery repaired and had 9 stitches!! I now have a war wound on my shoulder area!

Me 'dad' went berserk at me at the hospital...he shouted at me, called me lots of bad names and called me "fucking stupid! Wot do you think you were doing? You could have been killed you stupid fucking idiot!"

He then pulled me into a huge hug telling me he loved me!....

Well make your mind up dad!!!

Nobody is going to hurt me dad, NOBODY........

The 2 robbers were in Crown Court last month and luckily they both pleaded guilty so nobody here had to give evidence.

Both lads were charged with....

1)Attempted Robbery

2)Assault with Intent to Rob

3)Possession of an Bladed Article

4)Threatening with an Offensive Weapon

And the robber than knifed me was additionally charged with

Section 20: Inflicting GBH or Unlawful Wounding.

One was sentenced to a total of 2 years imprisonment and the other one that stabbed me was sentenced to 2 years plus 2 years to run consecutively meaning total of 4 years.

Me dad is absolutely fuming with the sentence of the lad that stabbed me. He got just 2 years for stabbing me when the maximum sentence is 5 years for that charge alone!

Apparently me dad has directed his solicitors to appeal this sentence under 'The Unduly Lenient Sentence (ULS) scheme' which allows anyone, including victims and members of the public, to ask the Attorney General's Office to review certain Crown Court sentences.

Me dad's not a happy chappy about this!

I was grabbed by the tie and collar and this maniac threatened to chop my head off with the machete!!

Then all of a sudden, Sam, my hero(!) came out of nowhere and wrestled the machete out of his hand and got him on the floor.

Anyway, after it had all calmed down and the robbers were taken away by the old Bill the reality of what happened hit me. I had to sit down..

Liam took me to our flat, stripped me and put me to bed with a nice cup of hot milk. He laid with me cuddling me tightly. I started crying and shaking......

The next day, at breakfast, Leo gave us a list of the new security arrangements that Jason wants implemented straight away. Jason wasn't here and Dylan told us he is at the hospital with Harry.

Some of the new security, was, I think, a 'knee jerk' reaction and not practicable.

He wanted perspex glass put up at reception so customers couldn't get to us, like they have at banks?

That one was resisted by us all...

The only ones that we agreed were sensible (sorry Jason, love you) were that our staff ties are replaced with..

a) 'clip on' ties so if somebody does grab them, like I was, the tie would detach and come away!

b) 3, hidden under the reception counter, panic buttons.

c) All sections including the barns must have a 2 way radio on at all times.

d) must have minimum of 2 staff on reception at all times.

e) a cctv monitor of reception added so the screen can be seen by people in reception so they know they are on camera.

f) better lighting and Cctv on the path leading to the barns and the clay shooting ground.

Jason eventually agreed with what we wanted, but argued the toss with us until he caved in.

The wine & cheese shop is so busy!!

Due to fantastic marketing by Arlo and Aaron our supplying 'wholesale' to hotels, large night clubs and convenience stores have increased so much we are struggling to keep up with it..!!

Poor Paul the delivery driver for us, the Flowery and the cake shop done over 200 miles yesterday on deliveries!!

Scott has put forward a suggestion that perhaps we need another member of staff?

I know Jason is dealing with the 'security' issues at the hotel and looking out for Harry who is due out of hospital soon.

We both knocked on his office door and was told to come in.....

I sorry Jason, but you looked liked shit mate. Its obvious you haven't slept very well, and the stress was etched on your face....

Scott saw this as well and said we will come back....

Jason told us to sit down as obviously we need to chat to him. Scott told him..."it wasn't important as you have a lot on your plate at the moment and it was thoughtless on my part to disturb you"

Scott put his case to him saying how busy we are....

Jason opened his laptop and printed off last month's accounts.

He scanned them and said "yes, well done lads, I see your point. Well you had better get somebody else to help you then!"

It was as simple as that!! No argument, just plain business sense on Jason's part.

Jason then told us that we need our own sign written delivery van to help Paul with the deliveries!!

Scott said he would speak to Hugh at the car lot to see what they have got...

After leaving the office, we went to see Arlo and told him what Jason said. He thought it was a good idea as well as the Flowery could have another new contract to supply flowers and that place is 42 miles away!

Arlo then gave us another order for 92 bottles of mixed selection of wines.... bloody hell!!

Scott told me to go to the car lot and speak to Hugh as he needed a couple of boxes of alcohol free wines as he wants to give away a bottle of wine for every car sold.

I drove down their and saw Gerry washing a car in just shorts and boots in the little car wash area they have....

He was a bit wet and soapy....

I told him I have his wine in my car and Jason said the wine and cheese shop needs its own sign written van?

I then noticed that Gerry was tenting in his shorts as well!

He put a tee shirt on and told me to follow him to the sales lot.

He showed me a nice, good looking Volkswagen Transporter T32. A medium sized van ideal.

He then asked me what's the weight of a bottle of wine?

I told him that a standard 750ml glass bottle of wine weighs roughly 1.4 kg when full.

Gerry told me that the Weight Capacity Limit (Payload) of a standard T32 panel van with a 1,200 kg cargo allowance, means the van can legally and safely support around 850 wine bottles by weight, leaving roughly 100 kg to account for the driver.!!

I quickly worked out that's about 70 cases of 12 bottles.

I phoned Scott for advice...

Yesterday Paul the delivery driver had to deliver 44 cases of wines and had to come back 3 times to reload.

So the VW was ideal for us to use.

Scott gave the go ahead to buy it and get it signwritten.

Gerry said he will sort out the service on the van and get it ready for sign writing...

Gerry then lifted his shirt up to scratch, just above his nipple, and I saw his 4 pack and how well defined he was!!

Next morning....

I couldn't sleep, it was 02.50am, had a bad restless night.....Dylan hopefully should get his results from his biopsy and Harry will also hopefully be discharged from hospital...

03.00am...

I wondered down to reception to see Simon.... he was eating. He told me that in the absence of Harry, Liam saved him some of yesterday's evening meal as Harry would have done. He also said I wasn't "the only only bird?"

Apparently Liam and Morgan has been in the cake shop since 02.30am!!

I walked to the 'shop' and the smell of fresh baking got stronger the nearer I got.. what a lovely early morning smell!!

I asked what the bloody hell they were doing here so early?

They told me that they had to come in early as their "one man down" and had to get the cakes prepared and baked. They also said that they have to make sure the shop is immaculate for when Harry gets home or he won't be happy!

I told them they shouldn't have started so early and if the shop and the coffee shop runs out off cakes then thats how it is. Its going to be a very long day for them.....

Morgan looked at me with 'slitty' eyes before he said...."ok it will be, but we can't let the customers down or Harry now can we? It took a lot of hard work to get where we are today and we are not going to ruin it or the customers will go elsewhere"

I hugged them both and kissed them on the head....

06.15am.....

Breakfast.....potato and poached egg hash. Sauté diced potatoes with peppers, then topped with a soft-poached egg. Very nice indeed!!

08.00am.....

Happy lads!! That's what I like seeing!

Out of the corner of my eye I saw my lovely hubby Dylan walk towards my office....

He had what Harry calls wet eyes..

Shit...his biopsy results!!

I cried more and it was Dylan now comforting me!!

Leo, Billy and AJ came in and hugged Dylan...in fact we all had a group hug!!

I was so relieved until Leo answered the hotel phone and told me its Harry.....

"Hello, can you pick me up please, I've finally been discharged and want to come home".....

I got to the hospital to find Harry sitting in the chair, still in his white hospital gown!!

Lucky I brought a pair of jeans, boxers, trainers and a tee shirt with me as I remembered seeing his clothes on the floor, which had been cut off him when he arrived in the hospital.

He got changed behind his bed curtain. He said goodbye to the nurses, got his discharge letter and a box of pain killers and we were soon driving home....

We got to the 'famous' set of traffic lights and Harry told me to turn right!!

You guessed it....Mcdonalds....

After a nice big Mac meal and a strawberry milkshake for him and a banana one for me we were back at the hotel.....

Leo must have been 'tracking' my car. All of the hotel cars have 'live trackers'.

As we got into the main doors their must have been 30 lads clapping Harry!!! It was a bit emotional to be honest....

All of them hugged "Hero Harry" as they are now calling him!!

I saw him look at reception, the place where he was stabbed and saw his eyes become wet....very wet indeed, but he managed not to cry...

Leo also noticed and told the lads to get back to work and stop embarrassing Harry...

The only one left was Luke, Harry's husband.....

Luke was crying and then they both rushed towards each other and hugged and kissed...

10 minutes later I saw out of the corner of my eye both Dylan and Harry walk past reception fully dressed......in their chefs kits!!

Dylan headed towards the kitchen and Harry towards the main doors, no doubt heading for the cake bar!!

That hotel I'm sueing have agreed to pay up in full without the "non disclosure agreement" as they obviously didn't want a court case which would give them the publicity they definitely didn't want or need.

I agreed to settle and wouldn't go public now or in the future, as long as they didn't repeat or suggest anything about my hotel or the staff.

Within an hour my bank account was looking better!!

I felt better.....

I decided to go for a walk around the grounds and visit the shooting ground and the shops...

Barnaby and Logan were cleaning the equipment and told me that they have a shoot for the next 5 days, each day having a group of 15...something that Arlo arranged for them. Each having a day of shooting, and a lunch and evening meal...£75 each. So that's £1,125.00 per day times that by 5 is £5,625.00 for the 5 days. Well done Arlo!!

Then I heard, what I can describe as a buzzing noise like a bee makes and looked up and around....

It was a Drone!!!

Then I jumped out of my skin when I heard it bloody speak to me....

"You! You are trespassing! Leave the area now or I'm going to piss on your head!"

What the hell????

Barnaby and Logan laughted....

Then Oscar appeared and landed the Drone within 5 foot of me....

He has adapted one of the Drones with a loud speaker system!!

Chase arrived back from doing 2 aerial footages for customers and was impressed with what Logan had done with the Drone.

Apparently a local farmer is holding an "open day" and wants the whole day videod from the air with the Drone being able to speak to the crowd if necessary.

I was impressed....

I walked to the Flowery but Noah, Zak, Nathan and Sue were flat out making bouquets as they have 4 weddings that require all the flowers on Friday and Saturday.

Next the cake bar.....

Harry and Liam were busy making the cupcakes and the wedding cakes (!) and Morgan was at the coffee shop.

Liam told me that he won't allow Harry to work to hard and will insist he takes regular breaks and if necessary to finish for the day.

Kyle is a bit terrified of being in the house by himself. His never been alone since the tragic loss of their parents and their are a bit worried about him.

They asked if they could book him a room here and would of course pay for it....

I explained about the staff quarters we have and he will be welcome to stay in a room their or I have 2 spare rooms in my flat if necessary in case the staff quarters are full.

I saw the relief appear on both their faces.....

After they had left I noticed that Scott and Arlo were interviewing a lad for the extra position created in the wine shop.

My god!!! He was now stood in front of me in just his white socks and his white Calvin Klein boxer briefs.
