Yes: a conversation about interests with someone you are going to meet can act like foreplay building up the levels of arousal and anticipation. It also helps to develop an understanding of what each other wants. This enables the Dom giving him more confidence and freedom.

But: a conversation with someone you wont meet can free flights of fancy. A sort of fiction about things that will not happen.
