The reviews on both Trustpilot and Sitejabbers are quite varied, but seem to reflect the same criticisms posted on the threads; outdated site, no ongoing investment, timewasters, abundance of CDs/TVs, bi guys cheating, threads about wives, trannies asking which frock to wear, inconsistent moderation, concerns about references to minors and more. One advantage is there is is no App, so I suspect those who support the site are bi-sexuals cheating on their wives, who can't risk loading an App on their phone. Obviously many reviews are from a gay man's perspective, who are now a significant minority here. I remember the leading gay site which rhymed with radar, now no longer.... | |||

Why are you investing your time and energy lambasting someone with pointed and shitty comments for daring to post feedback in the feedback forum? What is the point in having a feedback forum if it's going to be ignored and the admin allow users to basically tell posters to fuck off if they don't like the site how it is. This post is one of the very few that even recieve a response from the site and its clear that there is no interest in improving the site, just taking the subscription fees and letting volunteers do the work of moderating. I don't begrudge the site owners making money but the refusal to fix even basic issues shows nothing but contempt for its users. | |||

Just wondered if people had an amazing time on this site, would they complain about it? Probably not. Timewasters will always be there you get it on all sites. I’ve had it a lot on here, it’s annoying and I used to rant about it, timewasters, fakes galore blah blah etc. But it’s freedom of choice, if I don’t like the site then I simply move on; which I am doing this weekend. Can’t be fussed with the hassle of arranging a meet on here and I need a break - no fault of the site tho. | |||

There have been several changes made to the site since I first joined in 2014, but there are other things that could be beneficial to some users. My comment to the OP, like yours to mine, is pulling someone up I/you think are wrong in their approach in the forum - so my comments are exactly the same as yours to me. The OP has not really given feedback to the site, he's had a little dig, been a little sarcastic and had a little pop at Admin (FabGuysOffical), who again is a committed site user/volunteer!!!! So rather than seeing it as Admin rarely answer the feedback, think more "it's a site user who gives up his free time to try and deal with the reports from users about users, dealing with reports of rejected photos, forum disputes, supporting the MODs and all the other tasks it takes to keep the site running! The owners run the site, make changes, but it would be interesting to know how much money they make Vs how much to keep the site running at the level it is? But my point remains, if users are that unhappy about the site and lack of interest from the owners why not just move on? Nope, many would rather act out like petulant children with their feedback. I've actually seen some feedback in this forum and it was indeed feedback and not a sarcastic jibe at the owners or Admin. | |||

I have seen a few reviews which seem to be from bitter gay guys commenting on the number of td/cds on here though. And have seen a few comments about old guys hitting on younger. If people are that unhappy with the site, why the hell remain here and moan - if I'm not happy with anything I kick it into touch and find something that fits what I want/need/looking for. I get bored of reading the same old "I pay subs and I'm getting a shit service" "I'm no renewing if you don't fix all that I want and add all the forums I demand". Those people do get my back up, I like the forums posts where people can be objective with the feedback and whilst the owners and Admin don't always reply, let's hold onto the thought that Admin is a user who offered to do something meaningful for the site a long time ago, I would assume he's still just a site user who admins all the moans, groans, reports, disputes and forum commenting. Those who have been on here for years as I have are under no illusions about the site, those who use it, good and bad and the admin, good and er, well of course all good. The thing is we stick with it, know largely how to cope with it's foibles and don't need misleading reviews to lead us to what we seek. | |||

"I make websites for a living. The hosting costs for a website like this are significant. The 50k a month you quote isn’t all profit by any means. Nowhere near. And if they make good money from it, well done to them. I’m happy for anyone who makes money from their work. If you want to learn to make a membership website, you can make good money too | |||

That's a lot to ask from someone who is doing this in his spare time and not a fulltime paid member of staff.
Have a look how many people are online now and look at what percentage of them are site supporters. 21,000 online and on my who's nearby approx 45% are supporters. That's nearly 10,000 people that have paid to use this site and that's just those currently online. Site supporter is £5 so £50,000 every month or so. Not bad wages for sitting back and letting the volunteers do the work. This site plays on the charade its a hobby site to get away with not putting in any effort or investment to make it better for its users.
I make websites for a living. The hosting costs for a website like this are significant. The 50k a month you quote isn’t all profit by any means. Nowhere near. And if they make good money from it, well done to them. I’m happy for anyone who makes money from their work. If you want to learn to make a membership website, you can make good money too"I already said earlier in the thread that I dont begrudge the owners making money. My issue is that nothing is put back into the site to fix basic issues. Simple, inexpensive things like add a midlands forum so that people in Coventry don't have to be grouped in with people in Carlisle or Newcastle etc. How much would you say the website costs are? The most expensive hosting I have found is just under £1000pm for a large bespoke website fully managed and maintained. Even if it cost 10 times that it leaves a healthy profit. There's no staff wages to pay. Just banking and accounting charges. Volunteers do the donkey work and the owners just pockets the dividends. Passive incomes are all well and good but tens of thousands a month off free labour and providing a dated and substandard service to users is the ultimate in milking the cash cow. | |||

"After reading those trustpilot reviews some look to be from ppl who got kicked off the site .And others regarding content on the forum some thats referred to mods would have taken it down pretty quick . while this site is not perfect and i agree some of stuff asked for like more filters for search etc which would be easy to add just get ignored . One thing i would have liked to see is more input from Admin as in a owner Admin not a volunteer once a month maybe doing a question and answer session on the forum and maybe giving answers as to why some of the feedback suggestions are not implemented On and off this site since it started met some decent guys and had lots of fun, some who though we don't meet for sex anymore have become good friends socially ,I went to two guys wedding who met on here ,its not all timewasters /pic collectors even had few short relationships with guys i met on here which ended due to an event in my past which hopefully is behind me now and nothing those guys did wrong i was just not ready emotionally .And a few long time regular guys Tried a few of the other sites but always end up coming back to fab. Fabguys is what you make of it and how you choose to use it no matter what Admin did would always be someone unhappy with the site . Seen a lot moan they never get meets yet when you check their profile its blank ,no pics,no info on profile ,can't travel or Accom yet somehow think its Fabs fault if they don't put any effort into their profile what do they expect " Agreed | |||
