Please fix the location when mobile sometimes it’s impossible to get the location your actually at

Perhaps it would be useful to have a set your location button

Then if I'm heading somewhere i can add myself to that location

Its not a problem with my mobile btw

crooked spire town

I have the same problem, it does eventually pinpoint me, but can take over an hour before it does it.

Exactly... thus totally missing the point of the location in the first place

Would it be a signal problem?

Granted I don't usually travel too far and the signal is pretty good round here.

To the extent that when I'm on a bus or train and have the location function on, it renews quickly enough so I can see other guys location get closer and closer (until once it said 'very near, within metres' while the bus was syoped at a traffic light) and then usually and sadly they get farther and farther away.

You can bet that at that traffic light, I was craning my neck looking out the trying to see if anyone was in a car with his phone open on the site.

Of course I couldn't see anyone

The site must be American owned, it shows Shrewsbury as in Wales!

Does seem to be a FG issue as other sites and map locations update in real time. Not holding my breath that it will be resolved but as another poster said makes the location feature become pretty useless.

Yeah, I travel around North of England a fair bit. Normally only takes a minute or two to reset …I find if you go on “Who’s near” then press Refresh , normally works almost instantly.

Same, I've never had an issue with my location... Could it be an issue with the mobile.

If it's my mobile why do google maps and the G site update immediately?

I think the who is near function only updates every 6 minutes so this may be the reason. From memory FS updates quickly but that site is being maintained!

Agreed I’ve reset everything and it still won’t update my location. Ever. Not good. All other apps have no problem. Ever.

I have same problem but I think it's because it's through the website and not a direct app as when your mobile location is on it has to wait for the servers to pick up a location from the masts and there's a fair few in each town just a thought
