Very close as in no more than a GPS error of no more than 100metres.

But there is a time lag factor too.

Theres a guy lives about 90 feet from my house.He comes up as touching distance.Wish i could make myself known to him but cautious about it at the same time.

I'd heard that. Always found it odd when I used to work near a major railway station and you'd have a rotating cast of people going through with their phones, on the trains.

In hotels I’ve had a few, and up until last year there were 4 of us on here all from the one street. Now just 2, although one has just left the site the other has moved away. Bit that’s high odds for a street of just 36 houses. All come up as “touching distance”.

Years ago a work colleague and myself went on a training course together, the company had booked us a twin room which we were asked about prior to booking, after all we were only going to sleep there. Having driven for half a day we decided to shower and change before going to the pre course meeting before a meal. Whilst he was in the shower I logged onto fab and was looking at the guys close by, one was within touching distance and I realised I had checked out his profile before whilst at home, bit of a coincidence I thought, as he came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel I just laughed and he asked why. I can’t remember his name on here now but I just said something like I was just reading something (username) and thought of you. He went red and asked that I didn’t say anything when we were back at work, why would I I said, we are both in the same position which he hadn’t realised. We didn’t have a lot of time before meeting the others but did manage a little fun which continued later. The course turned out to be a very enjoyable time for us both which resulted in mutual overtime when available

A few weeks back whilst sat in McDonald's a guy contacted saying we were in touching distance...I looked and yes we where. He said he was sat in Gregg's....no Greg's near me I thought...turned out he was over 10 miles away.....so it's not always accurate

It does mean just that ad I’ve been walking over the common had that message, the guy within yards. However, indeed sadly there’s a definite time lag which could be minutes or tens of minutes too.

For me it gets me horny and hard to see that message.

Time lag seems to be the bigger issue with this and other sites. Show as where you are for about 10 mins after logging off. Same as other guys have said, I am by a station and large Supermarket so guys have left but show as Touching Distance. Have had it where it was the neighbour and headboards are against the same wall. Hehe. Never shopped THAT close to home though
