Winks and messages when profile inactive

Does anyone know how I still get winks and messages with my profile hidden? They are from people I haven’t messaged before. How are they bypassing not viewing my profile first?

Hidden profiles can still be messaged. There is no bypassing of anything

Hiding your profile only removes it from searches. If somebody already has you as a friend or on their hot list they don't need to search.

If you want to stop messages you can state you're not looking for M, MM or TV on your profile settings then applying the choice to block these on the message filter page but even this won't stop messages and winks from members you have already corresponded with.

OK, thanks for the info. That explains it. Not concerned about it, I was just worried my profile was still showing somehow.
