Why can't we have the option to put that we are crossdressers? Or we are looking for CD'S, We can put bi, straight, gay, TV/TS , but not crossdressers, surely this should be an option.

It can be a thing line.

I'd say a TV puts more effort into looking convincing, could easily pass.

A cd dressed because doing so is a sexy kick.

I have given up hoping to pass, now it's purely for the kick.

But I claim to be a step above HPW....

ie, not hairy, shaven, and more than panties

Yes i agree with you , some of us just love the feeling and sexiness of lingerie and dont try to be convincing its just the comfort . Then there are your more confident more able to convince tv,s and there are the HPWs , nothing wrong with any of it but yes the ability to put the crossdresser to your profilr would be a good thing

It’s a good question from the original post. I love to dress but not a wig wearer and rarely do I wear make up. On occasion I’ll wear red lipstick but I love to dress in my sexiest lingerie heels hold ups and panties. Sometimes with a sexy short dress over my lingerie. No, a crossdresser is anyone who puts on knickers. A transvestite is someone who dresses fully like a woman with makeup and wig.

Its a very grey area, with each description/ tag overlapping.

It also depends very much on how the person dressing sees themselves.

It is possible to argue each description, but it will always boil down to self image and how a particular individual sees it or themselves.

Personally I vary from fully male attire when appropriate (in my eyes) to just a bit of underwear- although I very rarely these days wear boxers briefs etc - to full feminine clothing, underwear, dress (or skirt blouse etc) makeup wig heels, jewellery, perfume etc.

So obviously I'm not full time (ever tried riding a motorbike in a dress n heels!!!!).

Also if my, or anyone elses, confidence is low, then dressing isnt always an option.

But there certainly are guys that will dress to boost their self confidence and esteem when its low.

So, applying any particular label to someone will always be difficult.

Personally I have no idea as to what to label myself (I'm definitely not a HPW though - very little body hair anyway and luckily got the figure and bone structure to carry a fem look).

Example: just been to supermarket to get a few supplies in my boots, DPM jacket n trousers, baseball cap etc, but went to same supermarket yesterday in shoes, stockings, pencil skirt*, padded bra, blouse, 3/4 length womans pink coat*, wig and full makeup.

2 sides of the same coin.

*that my lovely new neighbour gave to me.

So am I CD or TV???

To be honest I don't really care any more what label people want to slap on me....

I'm me, and I'm me just for me and no-one else.

I hope this is making some kind of sense?

As someone earlier said there’s lots of overlaps. I’d say you’re more tv than the average cd. Not quite tgirl yet but definitely far removed from an hpw. We all need to use words on our profile to describe and hope that people read our profiles. Alas, the ability to read does seem to be a declining skill these days.

Should I really need to write this kind of stuff on here? Surely its common sense to get to know someone before agreeing to meet?

Crossdressing is literally a translation of transvestite. No difference, its the same word. And there's no rule book in crossdressing, the idea that you are able to identify as who you see yourself as is kind of the reason why some people do this????? Everyone is unique, enjoy that

Maybe just have a sub heading of lingerie wearer. I've never really undertood the difference between TV and CD. Most dressers have a different definition on clarity of it. I fully dress for meets, makeup and wig and I've been told I look convincing but I don't put myself in a class/group. I just do it for meets, not full time.
