On the mombile app on the home screen there is a button "See who's near" It's really good as as it tells you very accurate distance (eg within 4 minute walk) as well as if the guy is online or when he was last one.

Can't seem to find the same thing on the webpage. Is' it there? if so where? If not, why not?

The mobile app will work based on GPS and other location services on the phone. For a desktop computer I suppose they cannot rely on the availability of those services in the same way.

You could try typing in the mobile site address on a computer to see what happens. It might be able to geolocate using WiFi information if the browser gas permissions to do so.

It always seems the distance is too detailed on fabguys though (I think on swingers the closest is half a mile or so). I've had ppl within touching distance in situations where it leaves little ambiguity about your location and could compromise your privacy/safety. So use with caution.

It certainly works

I have met a guy in the same hotel as me and once on a train returning from the South there was a guy within touching distance

I was with my wife so kept undercover as it were, but afterwards the guy and I exchanged messages and both had worked out who the other was.

We were diagonally opposite each other on the other side of the carriage
