Just a word of warning. I just warned someone that i didn't want role play of various unsavory subjects and i was me who got banned for my rely! I have now banned the individual but i'm the one penalised....!

Sounds like the only way out is to BLOCK rather than respond if you don't like something. A pity because it doesn't give the recipient an opportunity to amend his behaviour and have a more amenable chat.

It is an automated block in mails. The automated block won't know the context , it will just log the offending text so sometimes an innocent party will be blocked from mails too.

The block normally lifts after a couple of hours

Bit of a giveaway is when you have guys wanting to chat, but only on these encrypted sites like Teleguard n stuff. Generally a few messages in you get asked about really dodgy stuff like if you like pets or different age limits n stuff. Best to steer clear. If you can't swap it safely on here it is generally best avoided.

Possibly the person you responded to reported your reply as abusive, and it was judged to be so when the report was acted upon.

I believe that certain types of report, such as abusive messages, generate an automatic block between the two parties, which is what I assume you mean by banned.
