What is the point? Often not showing anybody who is online. Does not take into account preferred age band. Very slow at updating. What does everybody else think, might be just me?

SaunaTony, it's because you are a basic member, the list shows the 10 nearest profiles.

On a paid membership the list is a lot longer and can be customised to remove those who are offline and, I think, outside your age range.

If you click on the first grey bar at the top of the see who's nearby page, that will refresh the page. If you click the second grey bar you will see the profiles that match your preferences including preferred age range

I find that most of the time it not very accurate and can be about 15 mins behind.

Not long back a guy close to where I live asked me to meet as I was apparently showing as less than a mile away....i was actually 150 miles away on the M1....

It is only as accurate as the last time the users was on the site.

Currently I show 48 users in my range but everyone is probably off line
