Because there's a big difference between someone like me that lives every day as a woman, and "Barry 52" that sometimes wears his wife's knickers when she's out. Isn't a transvestite someone who is a man but enjoys wearing women's clothing and has no desire for medical intervention nor to live as a woman. A fetish the way some guys like puppy play or rubber and leather gear. Transwoman on the other hand wants to be seen as a women, and ultimately have medical intervention to change their physical traits to resemble a woman. The former although not for me personally I totally understand being on an M2M site. The latter confuses me because surely if you are now a woman you wouldn't be interested in M2M spaces? There are many of us who are a bit exhausted by being pushed out of our own spaces and the homophobic trans chasers that come in looking for them. I've seen it here and experienced it IRL too. When we try and make our own spaces to avoid this, trans activists have a meltdown like they did over XXL (literally a club for men who like masculine fat hairy manly men). | |||

As far as I am aware “Trans” refers to Transsexuals an applies to them both before during and post reassignment, as that is a process that takes many years and there is a requirement that the person lives as the gender they are transitioning to. However some people may be using “Trans” for Transvestite which would be incorrect as they have no intention of changing their gender so it is more a fetish. Unfortunately both words start with “Trans” which is where confusion between the two can start, which is why some people may think that Transsexuals are Transvestites not realising the difference if both refer to themselves as “Trans”. | |||

" Please remember that “Trans” when referring to Transsexuals can refer to both MTF (Male to Female) and FTM (Female to Male). While this site as a Man on Man site wouldn’t be appropriate for a MTF Trans it may be for a FTM. | |||

How you you police this? How do you know if someone dresses fulltime?" I think the issue is that if you identify 100% as a woman it's a bit odd to be in M2M spaces because they are angled at men. Being a cross dresser is a fetish and they are still men that don't want to identify as women 24/7 or have hormones and surgery (many don't always cross dress either, I know because I've met them and as it isn't my thing they didn't wear women's clothing). It's the same way I. that the vast majority of people into puppy play or pony play or submission play or other role play fetishes that involve costumes don't want to be considered as dogs or whatever. I think it goes back to the problem of male attraction being marginalised so much in society; literally the entirety of society is built around male-female attraction and sexuality. It feels annoying that we are never allowed spaces just for men whether it be saunas, clubs, websites, apps. | |||

It would probably be better to have Transsexual as a Category and TV/CD as a separate category. Not perfect of course as some people will lie in their profiles, but it would make a clear distinction available and would need the appropriate search filters to be added as well. | |||

This is what I didn't get about the trans activists trying to get XXL shut down and celebrating when it did. They demanded entry because they liked bears, but gay bears mostly want other bears or masculine men. That's the point. It's gay erasure which I see often from trans people including homophobia i.e. they are 'fixed' and 'normal' seeking M-F relationships. Fine. Good for them, myself and others aren't interested. We like men and we have very few spaces to seek them. Literally the entire world is set up for M-F relationships and sex. | |||
