FabGuys.com forum: Lebara mobile wont let me text Fab

Recently moved to Lebara mobile. My site support recently ran out so I went to text to number to get a code, but each time I tried it wouldn't send. I've got credit on my account, so it's not a lack of funds. Anyone else had these problems and know how to fix?

I think it is something to do with short codes i.e. 79100 can you not use any of the other options?

That is because of an age restriction, you need to contact them to lift it

I'm on Lebara and I had to try the customer service chat 3 or 4 times before I could get the text to work, also make sure your trying to send an SMS not RCS. Google messages seems to default to RCS if you use a Google based phone

I'm on Lebara. Needed to turn adult block off, and have enough credit to cover the text message. It took several hours after adding the credit before it would then send.

I think as has been stated ,it could well be the fact that some of these cheaper phone tariff providers ,do not recognise 5 digit txt's

I am indeed using a Google phone. Do you know how to turn it from SMS instead of RCS?

Think that is common with most mobile providers - you need to check how to get the she restrictions removed - either that to get a VPN service.
