Maybe your pics are so hot the servers can't handle it without overheating.

So, I just typed a reply, on here, quoting the last guy. When I clicked post, guess what message I got? “Cannot parse response”. Couldn’t make it up! I’m going to try sending this one to forum now…..

Are you using Safari by any chance? If so, using a different browser should fix the issue (as it seems to be Safari specific).

Parsing is a technical term in computer code- it’s essentially moving memory/data from one part to another- obviously had an error when transferring data. Never seen this and I use safari- maybe update it? Try another browser as the other guy said. Are you using mobile data or WiFi- could add to the problem if your WiFi has filters etc. Not much you can do other than the 3 points- maybe check your pic type etc and change to jpeg etc maybe?

parsing means reading through a long peice of data one bit at at time, I write C#.Net

Could it be that your pic is too high a resolution for their system to cope? If you're sending as a tif try editing to a lower resolution and send it as a jpg.

Parsing can also refer to the process of validation of code or text with markup to make sure it is valid.

So for example if you reply with quote and knock out the bracketed quote statements. Or enter text that may be interpreted as invalid markup that may account for the message.

Guys… thanks for all your very helpful comments and fixes! I’m not going to post the pics which were troublesome (but they were rather good imo) you might think I have enough anyway! It does appear to be a Safari issue. Very grateful for your constructive help. Tom xx

usually indicates that the browser is unable to interpret the data received from a website. This can be due to various factors, including issues with the website itself, your network settings, or Safari's configuration.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and troubleshooting steps:

Possible Causes:

Website Issues:

Incorrectly formatted data: The website might be sending data in a format that Safari can't understand (e.g., not valid JSON).

Server errors: The website's server might be experiencing problems, causing it to send incorrect or incomplete responses.

Temporarily down: The website might be temporarily unavailable or experiencing high traffic.

Network Issues:

DNS problems: Your device's DNS settings might be incorrect, preventing it from properly resolving the website's address.

VPN or proxy issues: If you're using a VPN or proxy server, it might be interfering with the connection.

Network connectivity: A weak or unstable internet connection can also lead to parsing errors.

Safari-related issues:

Corrupted cache or cookies: Safari's stored data might be causing conflicts.

Extensions or plugins: Some Safari extensions or plugins might interfere with website loading.

Outdated software: Running an outdated version of Safari or your operating system can sometimes cause compatibility issues.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check the website:

Try accessing the website in a different browser (like Chrome or Firefox) to see if the issue is specific to Safari.

If the website is down or experiencing errors, you'll need to wait for the site to be fixed.

2. Network Troubleshooting:

Restart your router: Rebooting your router can resolve some network-related issues.

Change DNS servers: Try switching to public DNS servers like Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Disable VPN or proxy: If you're using a VPN or proxy, try disabling it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

3. Safari Troubleshooting:

Clear Safari's cache and cookies: Go to Safari's preferences, find the privacy settings, and clear website data.

Disable extensions: Try disabling Safari extensions one by one to see if any of them are causing the problem.

Restart Safari: Close and reopen Safari to see if that resolves the issue.

Update Safari: Make sure you're running the latest version of Safari.

Check for iCloud Private Relay issues: If you're using iCloud Private Relay, try disabling it temporarily to see if it helps.

4. Consider using EtreCheck:

EtreCheck is a tool that can help diagnose potential problems with your Mac, including issues with third-party software or system modifications.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it might be helpful to provide more details about the specific website you're trying to access and your device's configuration to receive more targeted assistance.
