It would be handy, but it's bound to be liable to be abused.

Had a fall out with someone on the forum? Flag them up as a no-show.

Go onto their profile, then menu at the top, report user, there is an option for No Show.

"We need a proper way of outing no shows.

That option should be removed.

All admin does is block you from viewing each others profile.

It's not the sites responsiblity to police and make judgements on no-shows or time wasters. That responsibility lies with you.

Just move on and block the other guy.

I know is frustrating and annoying. I recently did two round trips of 60 miles late at night for nothing.

But I choose to go, knowing in the back of my head this could be a waste of my time.

Again I repeat I made the decision. So my choice too travel.

There should be a no show option like leaving a verification but how do you determine if they cancellation is genuine

It's too open to abuse I think. What could be done is a bit more promotion of what the obvious red flags are- someone unverified but on a long time, someone who won't give you their full address 'until you are close', brand new/ repeated accounts, etc.

It was only after I learnt to spot them that I reduced no shows.

I've had my fair share of timewasters and usually block them and name them on my update status profile but I've also been blocked myself when I've had to cancel for legitimate reasons. Once was just about to leave for a meet when a family member turned up out the blue..

Reading

I had a guy last night that came over to mine for some fun in my converted van outside.

I’d spent some time getting showered and douched. Then got dressed and was about to go out to my van to let him know I was ready and he text me to say there was someone walking down my street.

“Big deal” I thought to myself.

I told him they’d be gone in a second but could understand if he got nervous so even offered him to pick me up and take me to his but instead he just drove away and stopped replying to me on texts.

I was fuming and gutted. He would have been my first bbc as well which I was really excited about.

I even turned down a regular meet with a guy I’ve met before to meet this other guy and by the time the bbc guy drove away, my regular had already gone to bed so I ended up with neither!!

Should I name and shame him?

I wouldn’t do that. It’s not fair.

He was clearly nervous himself and maybe one day he’ll come back again.

If I name and shame him, he’ll definitely not come back… it also looks bad for other nervous guys if we start to name and shame them. It might put them off from meeting if they think we’re going to put their names onto our profiles if they’ve simply got nervous and bolted…

I’d rather deal with it in a more grown up manner and try to discuss what happened and try to fix it and make them more comfortable with meeting…

The no verifications for a couple of years is a very good indication that they are just window shopping.

I block, think how sad it must be to be them for a second, then move on

Why would you give someone your address until you are sure they are close. Even better initially meet in a public place. If they refuse then block. Job done.

I’m sorry! But what?! This is far too sensible and measured and self-aware for the Forum.

Surely you need to lash out and blame someone: timewasters; other users; the site; moderators; the Government; society; etc etc.

(You are, of course, correct.)

I’m sort of hoping that it’s not just the special occasion of a meet for sex which might make someone brush their teeth. 😶

He had a didgeridoo..?! To be frank, they’re not the most subtle instrument even when piped softly though the undergrowth of a cruising ground, so maybe he had sensible second thoughts.

Maybe a feature that says: Meet agreed - that has to be activated by both users. That way, if it’s a no show a this can be marked as such and less likely to be vindictive.

I agree too, it's not the site's responsibility to worry about policing no-shows. The site is set up to make introductions possible, what happens between the 2 adults after that is totally between them..

You never know when your or there circumstances may change up until the last minute, I've had phone calls at last minute that prevent me going to the meet.

I personally would always message that other to explain, but not everyone so polite, or have the time if emergency..it's just life, get on with it

Devizes

I have driven 1 , 2 hours late night only to end up at a dark house. The guy hasn't been online since you left and phone goes to voice mail or they txt you with a lot of BS excuses on why they can't meet like their landlord has just turned up ?? it's 3.15am. You are left sat in the drivers cursing yourself for yet again thinking with your cock not the brain. i done it once where i nodded off waking to a few messages. Grovelling, forgiveness followed by an awesome fuck a week later. Life happens but here is the thing, just remember that not ond guy on here owes you anything. If you want here and now hire a guy . If some timewasting prick is a no show, let's face it there are countless on here (the genuine ones will send an apologetic message) so just block and stick with the good guys.
