Profiles blocked but not by me

I have experienced 2 or 3 times where a profile disappears for me and doesn't come up in searches and I disappear for them, although neither I nor the owner of the profile have put a block in place. Common problem?

Could be either a change in your search parameters, or a change in their details. Say you search looks for people aged 30 to 50. When they turn 51 they will no longer be included in your search results.

That would be the most likely reason for the profile not showing up in profile search. Either they have deleted it or an admin has. If the profile still existed it should still show up in the search results even if there was a block - you just wouldn’t be able to view it.

As suggested above, it's likely the user has deleted their profile, or blocked you. I don't know if users can change their username without cancelling/deleting their current profile🤔, but if we can, that may be another reason

I think it depends on the type of membership.

I have the option to change mine - but can only do it 4 times a year and like photos it has to be approved.

No. Everything (including friends, verifications) stays the same and the only thing that changes is your username
