Hi all. It would appear that messages I have sent to users have disappeared, but their replies are there, so I cannot now see what I said.

Any ideas?

Messages delete after a certain time. If you sent those messages months ago then they will be gone. Your messages seem to disappear first, I've had that happen to me. Then the respondant's messahes seem to disappear after another while. But it should be happening on old threads??

My sent messages disappear after about 8 weeks but the replies remain visible for me to read for a lot longer. I have never bothered to ask anyone if the same thing has happened to them.

Do Fabguys have any guidance on how long messages are retained. Do they delete they after a certain time, or is it dependent on how many messages you have had?

I've just recently had a problem with someone I had been chatting to. All messages to and from that person have disappeared. The person I was chatting to has disappeared without the usual "The user is no longer on this site". It's as if they never existed. Anyone any ideas as to what happened?

The profile has been deleted. Previously you would see unlos on messages but admin changed that a few years ago and now all the messages are deleted/disappear when the profile is deleted
