Because it clutters up the search bit, basically, if you haven’t logged into the site for over a year, you’re either dead, or met someone, and forgot to delete your profile.

Its also annoying to see someone that ticks all your boxes locally, to find they last were active over a year ago so very unlikely to respond, or see, any msg you send them.

Funny (or not) you should say that. There is a profile on here of a guy I wanted to meet but he died. It's nice to see his profile from time to time.
