I think there really needs to be an option to remove a verification for another person. These are not fake ones but say you meet someone and then they ignore/block you. That option should be there since the other person is being an a***hole. Yes I have experienced it and now I am considering not verifying anyone at all now.
From FAQ: If you block the user, your verification will no longer show on their profile and any verifications that they have left for you will no longer show on your profile. If you remove the block then the verifications will show again. xx
