"If the location says within 10 miles, then it's not via gps or vpn. To use this site you have to use a UK postcode for your home location, so what's happened is the guy has put in a postcode which is within 10 miles of the OP. The same thing happens with people who go on holiday in europe or live part time in Spain etc, they cannot update their home location due to it having to be a UK postcode " There are two distances shown. One is based on the outbound post code (the first part of it) the other is based on the phones location. Tho OP didn’t specify whip distance they were looking at. I’ve seen an account showing 100 miles for the first and 6000+ for the second. If both are very similar distances and the sender admits they are somewhere abroad, then there is some underhand method being used to fake the second distance.

"Don’t give out phone number or email if they ask block them to risky giving out to much information. " I have a separate email address an a payg sim in an old phone for use here - in the case of a problem they can be closed without causing me real inconvenience.

"For some of us British guys who actually live in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria in my case it's the only way we can keep a profile, but mine clearly states I am here. " Same situation for me
