Probably said before, but needs to be said again...

Would love to be able to bookmark a forum thread.

Have a page which shows those threads and the last time they were updated.

Reason being, if you're following a story on the Stories and Fantasies section then it would be nice to be able to see when it's updated last. And probably equivalent importance to know if the OP has updated it recently!

Hard to follow some stories otherwise

Not a complete answer to what you're suggesting, but if you make a post on the thread you want to follow, then you can find it again easily in your "recent threads you posted to" and see if it's been updated.
