What's the new security code for to log in? I didn't see anything about it on the site news, its just appeared this evening.

Been happening to me every time I log in from my pc, since day before yesterday... I don't like to leave things as "keep me signed in", mostly as it helps me remember my passwords etc

It's gone today. Was this a genuine part of the site or should I be concerned it was some kind of hacking scam?

Some formal site feedback would be appreciated here.

Yep, for me it seems to depend on which device and if im on wifi or phone network.

Been like this for me for over a month.

I've been using fab for 6 years, yesterday was first time I'd seen it so I was suspicious of it with there being no mention of it in site news. I hadn't changed the way I accessed the site either. It was still there early this morning , then disappeared at lunchtime.

I went to log in and was asked to input a security code too. I was on the site yesterday and it didn't ask for it not had it done in all the time I have been a member. Once I put in the code and my password it was fine but when I logoff and go back in it happens again. I should add the I have not changed any of my Wi-Fi settings so am at a loss to know why it's happening. Thanks

Chester... Where the streets have no name

Sounds well dodgy.

Where is this security code coming from? I don't remember setting one up when I joined

At a guess it is a one time code and it is probably sent to you by e-mail, at the address you used when you set up your account.

The security number isn't sent separately. When I go to The login page there is the usual username and password login boxes but there is now a security code which it gives you which you have to copy in to another box to complete you can login in

It is exactly what it says on the thread header, security. This is normal and Admin do this to protect everyone on the site. I have had it a few times too latley, it only takes a few seconds to do.

Thanks for that. As it had just started I was wondering if there was something wrong with my account. You have put my mind at rest

I’ve had this for months. Changed my password this morning and it’s now stopped. If your password is very basic, try changing it!

It's random for me. It happens sometimes on my phone and sometimes on my laptop. I don't use a VPN.
