Unable to remove friends?

Hi can anyone help please?

I have tried the icon numerous times, closed and restarted page etc but it won’t let me remove people from my friends list.

Any ideas?

To be included on a friends list both parties have to agree, so if you remove somebody from your friends list are they notified or do you just drop off of their list with no notification?
