I think someone is following me on Fabguys having created a false identity. Is there any way of tracking him or her down

For someone to be stalking you then they must be messaging you or liking your photos. So just report username to admin.

Are you expecting the Fab guys admin to have some sort of Enemy of the State -esque satellite to locate them?

Take it as a compliment, lifes too awesome to worry about people's minds, just thought phase them out of existence and carry on, you're obviously doing something right for energy wraiths to want to suck you dry. Stay cool as a cucumber

If it makes you uncomfortable Block them. Stalking can escalate quickly and you must not engage. Its unlikely FG will be able to do anything unless police become involved. Stalking is often not taken seriously by the victim until it is dangerous- i didn't, and my stalker went far enough to end up in prison. Take it seriously

"I think someone is following me on Fabguys having created a false identity. Is there any way of tracking him or her down"

It all sounds very exciting.

“I think someone is following me on Fabguys“… well, you either know you are being stalked or you don’t. Which is it? You can’t “think” someone is stalking you… If you are (i) getting repeat messages or (ii) someone keeps repeatedly appearing in your tracks or (iii) keeps liking your pictures - and it all feels suspicious or malign in some way a] block them, b] report them to Fab moderators. If they are not doing (i) to (iii) above, how do you think you are being stalker..?

If repeat messages and picture likes equates to stalking, I must have a whole gang following me...

Not stalking as such, but did have a guy keep messaging me on a daily basis, just one or two messages, then his profile would dissappear the same day. Next day, new profile , similar name and again half a dozen or so messages. Was getting frustrating, so set my profile so that newbies couldn't contact me.

As above. One guy kept messaging me, setting up meets then cancelling. Happened under about 4 usernames over two weeks. Changed my privacy setting to only allow contact from guys within my age preference

If you're that concerned block them, report to admin, set profile to stop likes on pics, infact remove your pics, set to not accept messages from new accounts, set age preferences, dullafy you profile and be miserable because no one shows interest, or accept the facts that random strangers on a on line hook up site will look at your profile like pics and message you.

I'm fairly certain a work colleague is stalking me, very specific innuendos he drops out in the workplace referencing my private life, which is only detailed on this site, lead to no other explanation.

I do genuinely think he's retarded, not least because I'm free, single and able to do what I like whilst he's a married man with a family who would have to explain what he's doing, not only viewing a gay/transgendered website but also registering as a user and going over various hurdles in order to view my profile in the first place.

That's more than casual curiosity.

For a bit of fun I now edit my profile to leave him messages, pointing out these facts and pushing back at him, and he's gone very quiet.

For what it's worth in my opinion, stalkers are very cowardly and fragile, creepy little daddy's.

Best thing you can do is totally ignore them, and not feed them with stuff on your profile. Stalking can go sideways fast. If hes being inappropriate at work report it to HR.

If you know the profile then just block them. I've had it where the same guy keeps making different profiles and asking me to meet him, even though I've said no countless times. I block, he creates new profile, I block and on it goes. Admin won't do a thing about it. Only the police could, but likely won't

Change your settings so that -Newbies- can't contact you

I get a repeated stalker, when we chatted he found a true gent. When we met it wasn't the greatest meet so blocked them. Since then they keep inventing new profiles and pictures. Its only when I ask roughly where there live the penny drops. And block them.

Yes there’s ways of finding out who they are and where they are it’s painstaking a chore but it’s easily accessible if you know where to look for them inbox me and I will help you with it if it’s bothering you that much and it doesn’t cost you anything either

Police will not get involved with this matter unless fraudulent evidence is presented to them and even then you have to go through community guidelines first it’s incredibly difficult to get anyone prosecuted without detailed information

the easiest way to detect him is use a random word that you normally wouldn’t use something completely random and see if he uses the word or phrase then you will know exactly what you’re dealing with don’t let him know that you know and reverse the role he will get spooked by you as soon as he knows you’re not accepting this

Editing profiles to leave messages for a potential stalker..?! Using random words as a trigger test to see if a potential stalker starts using them..?! This is, literally, mental behaviour. If you’re really stupid enough to start doing this = Stalker 1, Victim 0. You’ve allowed someone else to dictate your actions and make you do weird things you wouldn’t otherwise be doing.

1] Just ignore people of whom you are suspicious, including online profiles, and get on living your own life. It’s honestly as simple as that.

2] If you can’t ignore, because some boundary has clearly been crossed and you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, block the profile. Report the details. That’s all been explained above.

3] If you have concerns that after someone was blocked they may be trying to create new profiles, use the facilities here to block new profiles contacting you for a period. That’s also all been explained above.

4] Do not, as I rather fear some contributors in the above have done, get so caught up that you start playing a leading role in your own drama.

👏 👏 👏

People aren't realising just how dangerous a potential stalker situation can become. It all might seem like fun and games, and there may be feelings of need to revenge, but engaging with someone who might be a stalker in any way is literally the worst thing you can do.
