Is there any way of recovering some or all of the veri's I had under a previous user name.

On the new user name they all seem to have been lost

If you deleted your previous account then it's not possible. The following warning is displayed prior to deletion:

"This will permanently remove all your profile details, messages, photos, friends, verifications, etc. These can not be restored."

If you deleted your previous account then it's not possible. The following warning is displayed prior to deletion:

But that would involve reading and thinking through the repercussions of choices.

No I did not delete. I just changed the user name. Things like messages seem to have been preserved but not verifications

I'm guessing changing your username deletes the physical verifications because they were under a different name however it still shows you've been verified by 8 people.

Your veris should stay if you change your name. And any veri you write automatically stays connected to the account. Saw it with a local guy here who changed his name

Looking at your profile you joined over a year ago and have 12 variations. Has it changed since your original post?

Thank you all. Problem solved. The veri's were all there under new username account but had been set not to display.

Simple matter to change settings to "display".
