"Had two wasted potential meets last week First one was at a local hotel, told me to message him when I got to the car park.....heard no more after I got there. Second was at a guys house, same scenario, message when I get there....gave me the street name....waited for three quarters of an hour....nothing. So bloody rude. " Why would you possibly agree to travel to locations without knowing more?! Had you spoken to these men on the phone? In what ways did you protect yourself from this very behaviour..? Had you exchanged pictures with these men beforehand so they knew what you looked like and wouldn’t suddenly decide they were not interested when they looked out the car window or peeped through the bedroom curtain? He never gets any verification on any of these profiles, and he deletes them before the gold membership expires, only to come back with a new profile with the paid membership on it. If they go cold on you before you leave home - good. " You're completely right, and this is partly why I've stopped trying to meet anyone on here at all and went back to trying it in-person. In real life I can easily get a read on a person but on here I keep striking out over and over again lmao. Stopped feeling like it was worth the effort. | |||

At least get a house number and a post code & do a drive by to check it looks ok. Make sure you’re happy before you arrange the meet. The first 3 of those will be in the eye of the beholder, and, if people are discussing meeting with you, they presumably have navigated those factors (unless you only show them yourself after they have agreed to meet somehow.) It is the last factor there which is the key: genuine availability. I have a screed of guys keen to meet - but they never seem to be available around very busy lives and when the rare window appears, I might be away etc. | |||
