Can’t change my profile

I went away and added a sentence to the start of my profile saying I’ll be away and not meeting. I’ve come back, and I’ve tried to remove this sentence but I cannot as the system stops me and says i have a link to another website in my profile. But there isn’t, it is the same text that I had before I went away, which was ok. Can anyone suggest what I should do?

Can you delete the whole profile text and rewrite it? Seems like something is now flagging and it maybe didn't when you first made it?

There was a few messages about a clampdown on rules. Perhaps certain things you've written about what you dislike now flag?

Thanks, I’ll give that a go. I have to wait an hour now as I tried to change it too many times.

I suspect they have updated their filters and your profile text no longer can be used. But honestly, I wouldn't know for sure

Forfar, Angus

Sometimes when I type notes in my Samsung phone it changes the text colour to blue, because it thinks it's a weblink. I can't get it to stop doing this.

Perhaps it's this type of 'background' thing that's going on.

You could copy all your text out to somewhere else as 'plain text' and put it back in your profile as small paragraphs. This might help find the 'offensive' content. Might.

I have this problem too. Whether it's my phone, Safari on MacOS or Firefox on windows it's the same result. It happens even if I just tick a preference box.

Like you, I'm absolutely not trying to add web links or spam.
