Mobile Messages on iOS 27 - feedback

Hi anybody else suffering from predictive text being inactivated on the mobile messaging on Safari?

The message a about being able to take immediate pics from your phone above the message entry box makes Safari “predict” that the box is for entering a phone number and so instead of predicting text/words as you type (and I presume monitoring for typos) it suggests telephone numbers to be pasted into the box.

This leads to a frustrating number of typos as the system is not monitoring for them as it is expecting number entry only

I presume moving the phone photo text to below the message box (also to where you actually attach photos in the UI) would resolve this.

Interested to know if anybody else find this frustrating?!

This is most annoying and makes sending messages on iPhone more difficult. I had assumed it was due to a change in the site, I hadn’t thought about it being an IOS27 change…

Looks like it is only affecting Safari on iPhone running iOS 27

Tried it in other browsers and there is no issue which is really frustrating

Ah, I have been trying to solve the sage issue and like others I’ve only noticed it after updating my iPhone to 27. Anyone worked out how to change this back yet?

This still hasn’t been resolved.

Forum works perfectly but site admin really needs to duplicate the coding to fix inbox messages.

Really struggling to type properly.

Yeah somethings gone wrong with the coding of the message box as it’s now set up as a phone number input box for some reason
