Dear admin,

Is there no way of suppressing or discouraging the increasing tendency of interesting threads being hijacked for a personal squabble? With every post copying the content of all the preceding posts? Maybe a three-round limit?

Yes, they make some threads incredibly boring.

Perhaps if the reply plus quote were either stopped or limited to a set number of characters, it would stop petty arguments and stop all huge amount of unwanted data.

There is also now the thumbs up and down option that can show the approval or disapproval of a comment.

Are you really concerned about data on fab's servers?

With all the pointless threads on here I am too...

The easiest way would be if forum posts didn't show from users you had blocked. Other internet forums have been able to do this for over 25 years.

It would make the experience considerably less unpleasant.

But I don't necessarily want to block the posters who are doing this. Just make them easier to read.
