No that happens when someone deletes their account. For a short while afterwards the updates page and search results etc might still show the profile. But when you click the link that message shows up

Yes it is most definitely unambiguous about you being blocked. And if you get a blocked message abd you try ti send a message it will tell you whether you blocked them or rhey blocked you lol.

The other thing you might find is you can view a profile, then you try to message privately and it may say you can't contact this profile because they have a filter in place. This will come up saying something like "Unfortunately this profile has blocked people of your age"...

I had that happen today. A guy hit me last night, we chatted arranged a meet at his place today. Woke up this morning there was a message from him when I clicked on it I was told profile been deleted. He must wanked got cold feet lol.

I tried to message a guy after reading a post of his on one of the forum threads. Just to ask advice about something he had posted which was informative to me, only to find 'User has blocked you'.

I've never had any interaction before with the guy. And I doubt I would have had any after either.

It didn't say that I didn't fit any of his preferences or anything just 'User has blocked you'.

Odd because as far as I was aware he didn't know of my existence. Maybe other than reading something I posted perhaps. And as I steer well clear of politics and other very divisive topics, it can't have been about that.

I'm not bothered I just found it a little strange. And a pity as he seemed to know a bit about something I was eager to learn about.
