Hi Gareth ,It’s when you have had your bladder removed they give you a bag near your belly button to pass urine into.Had the operation last September since then hardly any meets! Jon

I had 1 for about 4 months and I found it hard to get a meet , I did get a meet with a couple on the other fab site , the female also had a stoma bag , unfortunately they have left the site now

I had my temporary one fitted due to cancer surgery to remove part of my bowel , even if i explained to potential meets what it was and how it looked they tended to change their mind on arrival

Did you have a reversal as my cancer they removed the bladder and prostate! So non reversible!

I have met a guy with one, he insisted he didn’t want anything other than wanking, which I thought was strange.When he came to the house he suggested he wanked me first so I undressed and he got to work, he played with my nipples which was nice but at this point he was completely dressed, which felt strange, I came and proceeded to get to work but he stood up and undid just his fly and produced his cock, I then realised why, when I touched his front it was bulky, anyway I wanked him off and he came quickly, wiped up and was off. I had a stomach bag for a while when I had bowel cancer. Now having had prostate cancer surgery I can’t get hard or produce semen. I’m quite open and some people have been very supportive and nice to me. There are nice guys on here who will be more understanding. But these physical things do restrict who people want to meet. I’m sorry that I never get to Cambridge - I’d meet you! All the best. X

Hello. It is a difficult situation. I had a temporary colostomy for 6 months after diverticulitis. At the time I had a regular lover but initially would not have sex as I was embarrassed. He eventually persuaded me that he felt the same love for me despite my stoma. I was very fortunate but realise this is not always the case. People are often afraid of what they don't understand. We need to be more open about these issues. I believe that approx 1/100 have some form of ostomy/stoma. So for those people who are turned off/embarrassed or unsure about people with such issues, remember, you could just as easily end up in the same situation.

Haven't met anyone for sex who had one but I had a client who had one when I worked as a Healthcare Assistant. I had to change the bag and keep the stoma area clean . No big deal as it was part of my job it did get extremely frightening one time do when the stoma site started to bleed but thankfully his daughter was a nurse and soon came to my aid . I know other staff members who refuse to assist this gentleman and you know what it was their loss as they missed out on the opportunity of getting to know a lovely person and very nice family I also had the pleasure of caring for his wife that had slite dementia and site issues. Unfortunately he passed away but his wife is still alive and a lovely person. Take care of yourself and never be ashamed of who you are

Hey! Imagine my surprise when I found this was even an Forum topic! Thank you.

Yes I have a stoma bag. Or permanent end colostomy - thanks to cancer. Clear now but part of bowel and backside removed. I have a “Barbie butt” - so it’s sealed completely. (Still peachy though!)

And yes, the majority once told do not want to meet. It’s a massive majority sadly. I think their idea is worse than the reality. And therefore ignorance rules.

So we need to explain.

But it’s been a lonely journey thus far. I got mine in 2016 as I’d had the maximum amount of radiotherapy permitted.

It’s taken a while to adjust.

And frustratingly the sex drive does return - but....navigating a shallow primarily gay app is a minefield.

Probably depends on situation.

People after a quick tumble might not want to get their hard around anything like this, but someone after something more long term I’d hope would be more open minded.

Not sure how I’d react.

It wouldn't necessarily put me off meeting, but I'd need to know whether there were any sexual limitations because of the stoma. That could make a difference, but that would be true of any meet.

I have a urine stoma. I state this on my profile along with the lack of ejaculate. I have noticed a drop in interest but to be fair I seem to get a reasonable number of meets.

I have a special black elasticated lace wrap (I cut it from a pair of quite sexy control knickers) that hides the bag and it blends with the rest of my lingerie.

The bag is rendered invisible and only detectable to the touch where the hard nozzle lies. I've had no problems with anyone I've had sex or a fumble with.

I imagine if a stoma wearer who doesn't dress may not be able to hide theirs away but there are skin toned stoma wraps that do a similar job as my lace wrap.

Ultimately it's a them problem

If they can't get past the idea of a bag that's up to them. Each to their own. Just don't let that bring you down there's plenty of people who look at you for who you are and not the bag.
