I love watching and I love being watched. In a sauna if people don't want you watching then they will usually take it to a private room.

It is usually bad manners to join in with others unless they invite you...whether they are in a public area or not.

I would never have a problem with someone watching if I were in a public part of the sauna. If I were in a private room and someone managed to get the door open I would be annoyed...or if they were trying to look over the tops of the cubicles.

Some saunas seem more about the rooms and closing doors. I went to the Gentry in Hull recently and there's only a few small rooms with doors as most areas are open plan and well thought out for lots of group play, chilling and watching.
