Depends how well it's been done. I was circumcised in my late teens (foreskin was too tight) but they left plenty of skin so I've still got a lot of movement available plus I have the benefit of being a heavy pre-cummer which is an obvious advantage.

Over time the head has become much less sensitive when I'm soft but as soon as I get excited the sensitivity comes roaring back

There are many styles with differing results - high v low / loose v tight and varying degrees in between. Historically the style would depend on who's doing the procedure, these days you can generally choose your style (as an adult - where kids are concerned that's a whole different debate), much as you would decide on a haircut, the major difference being the foreskin doesn't grow back
